Claudine Barretto and Sabrina M both dedicated a post to remember the late matinee idol Rico Yan during the 22nd anniversary of the actor’s passing.

In her Facebook post, Sabrina posted a short message and a photo of Rico.

“Remembering Rico Yan,” she wrote.

Sabrina gained a short fame on social media last year after claiming she had a relationship with Rico.

“Napakabait ni Rico Yan. After Claudine, naging kami ni Rico Yan. Matagal kaming nagkarelasyon. Taon. Noong nag-uumpisa na yung tsismis sa akin, dinudurog na agad ako. Rico Yan yan eh? Bakit siya pumatol sa isang sexy star? Bakit siya pumatol sa isang hubadera?” said Sabrina.

The revelation prompted Claudine’s camp to mull charges against Sabrina.

“Pinalalabas po kasi ni Sabrina M na si Rico Yan ay two-timer at alam naman daw ni Claudine, kung alam ito ni Claudine ay napakababa naman ng moralidad ni Claudine na pumapayag siya na dalawa sila sa buhay ni Rico Yan?” said Claudine’s lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio.

“Mag-apologize ka na lang Sabrina M since iisang mundo lang ginagalawan natin at ‘wag naman tayong gumamit ng taong wala na rito sa mundo hindi niya maipagtanggol ang sarili niya dahil wala na siya,” he added.

Meanwhile, Claudine posted a video on Instagram to tribute to her former boyfriend.

Despite being married to Raymart Santiago, Claudine said that Rico was her “one great love.”

Rico passed away on March 29, 2002, at 27, while he was at the peak of his career.

Actress Heart Evangelista ended the speculations about the photo she posted, which was believed to be her indirect message to Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.

It can be recalled that there was a rumored silent contest between Heart and Pia after the former glam team of the Kapuso actress transferred to the camp of the beauty queen.

Some netizens even claimed that Pia’s connection in the fashion industry was boosted due to the knowledge shared by Heart’s former glam team to their new boss.

Pia and Heart’s fans also engaged in a discussion after the beauty queen posted a commercial, which they believed, was her response to a photo posted by Heart last January.

However, in an Instagram post, Heart clarified that the book she posted was her favorite book.

“Still my favorite book 🙂 For those who don’t know it’s actually for Christians,” Heart wrote.

She added: “Favorite quotes from the book “Don’t give the Enemy a set. Don’t entertain his ideas. These thoughts are not from a good and trustworthy Sheperd. Move On.”

Some netizens believed that the people behind the commercial didn’t made any research before taking a swipe against Heart.

Danica Sotto-Pingris delighted her fans with her cooking skills amid the issue being faced by her husband, Marc Pingris.

In the past few days, the legendary basketball player faced cheating allegations after he was spotted in the same place several times with actress Kim Rodriguez.

Marc and Kim have already released their separate statement on the issue, but Danica has decided to keep her cool.

It can be recalled that Danica just made a short comment on the issue when she tried to calm her friend, Pebbles Duque who was defending her partner from the netizen.

Actress Kim Rodriguez’s camp released a statement following the rumors about the relationship of their talent with basketball player Marc Pingris.

It can be recalled that several social media forums discussed how Kim and Marc were spotted in the same places several times: first was at a basketball event in Rizal, second was at an expressway stopover, and third was in Sydney Australia.

Marc already addressed the basketball event, saying that Kim was a muse for a basketball team during that time.

Meanwhile, Kim via her manager had already addressed the second and third incidents, denying that she and Marc were traveling together.

To clarify the issue, Marc released a statement to deny any romantic connections between him and Kim.

The title of the book is “Ikigai: The Japanese Secret for a Long Happy Life,”

Ikigai is a Japanese concept about finding purpose and happiness.

It also teaches how to appreciate life in simple ways.

As of writing, Kim kept her silence on the issue.

Television host and newscaster Paolo Bediones remembered the biggest assignment in his career, which could be traced back to 2002 when there was a heated competition between TV networks covering Rico Yan’s passing.

During the 22nd anniversary of Rico’s untimely passing, Paolo said that he was tasked to cover the news about the matinee idol, but he admitted that it would be difficult for them to do it as the late actor was a talent of ABS-CBN, while he was a reporter at GMA Network.

Paolo was one of the hosts of the talk show S-Files, tasked to update the public on Rico’s end.

“We knew two things at that time: first, the network war was at its peak, meaning ABS -CBN would make sure to get all the exclusives,” said Paolo. “Second, we wanted to focus on our own coverage, making sure to remain as sensitive, compassionate, and responsible as we could be given the circumstances. I recall many discussions on what we should and shouldn’t do. So different from the world we live in now.

According to him, interviewing Claudine during one of the saddest moments of her life was his biggest assignment during that time.

“The biggest assignment for me that day was being able to get an exclusive interview with Claudine in her van while she was on the way to Rico’s wake. To be honest, I was so uncomfortable at that time, but I knew what I had to do, and Claudine made me feel welcome and kept it together while we were having a conversation on camera,”  he stated.

Heart Evangelista shared a cryptic message on her Instagram story after Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach released a commercial that some netizens believed was the latter’s response to the Kapuso Actress.

It can be recalled that Heart’s former glam team was hired by Pia, which reportedly boosted the connections of the beauty queen in the fashion industry.

Heart then posted a cryptic post last January, showing a book titled “Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table,” which many netizens believed to be a swipe against Pia.

In March, Pia then published a commercial, which some netizens couldn’t stop connecting to Heart’s post due to the line uttered by the beauty queen in the advertisement.

 “While others deny us a seat at the table, we’re creating our own space paving the way for others to follow. Irrelevant after the crown? I fought for my place to be so much more. Sayang ba ‘yun?”

Meanwhile, Heart then posted a message after the commercial release about people who she trusted in the past.

The post received different reactions from the netizens, and some of them expressed their concern about how the incident affected Heart mentally.

Elizabeth Oropesa shared one of the biggest regrets of her life, saying she should have become active in lovemaking during her youth.
