Biker brought to police station after he was caught without mask while drinking water

A bicycle rider was brought to the police station and paid 1,000 pesos fine for not wearing a face mask.

Netizen Michael Manansala narrated that he stopped at Marikina river park to take a rest as he still needs the energy to travel to Mandaluyong City.

While resting, he removed his face mask to drink water, however, he was spotted by the authorities and approached him.

“Bigla ako hinuli ng mga Police at pinasakay sa sasakyan At dinala sa headquarters nila . at pinag multa ng 1.000 So ano gagawin ko iinom ako ng naka facemask,” said Manansala.

Manansala addressed the people who brought him to the police station.

“Sana maging patas kayo. ‘Wag kayong gahaman. Pang bigas na rin ‘yang 1k na ‘yan.” he said.

Manansala even claimed that the officers had his mugshot.

Marikina is strictly imposing its City Ordinance requiring all people to wear their face mask in public places.

The City Government of Marikina has yet to comment on the complaint of Manansala.

This is not the first time that a bicycle rider was caught for not wearing a face mask.

Last month, journalist Howie Severino was apprehended by Quezon City law enforces for pulling his mask to take a drink.

Unlike Manansala, Severino who was brought to Amoranto stadium for a seminar was released without paying fine.

Willie Revillame slams Rappler and Pia Ranada for reporting that he ‘hijacks’ Malacanang press briefing

‘Tutok to Win’ Willie Revillame called out Rappler and their journalist Pia Ranada for their headline about his appearance on a press briefing with Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Revillame made a statement on national television about the media company and the said journalist and denied that he ‘hijacks’ the briefing happened on August 7.

The screenshot article, titled “Willie Revillame hijacks Roque press briefing to promote charity, GMA7 show” was also showed by the tv host during his show.

Revillame narrated that he received a call from Roque, asking his help to find a studio where they could hold a press briefing because the RTVM building was not available.

The TV host said that he let Roque used one of his studios in WilTower.

According to him, Roque asked him to appear during the press briefing, but he called it ‘inappropriate’ because he’s not a politician and also he’s also having his own show.

However, last Friday, he agreed with Roque’s request to appear in their last press briefing.

Revillame expressed sadness on the reaction of some netizens who thought that he’s only trying to boast or promote himself by giving money to the people in need.

He explained that he gave the 5-M to the government because it’s impossible for him to personally distribute the money to the jeepney drivers because of the law and the current situation of the country.

Revillame again talked again about the report of Ranada.

The TV host then announced that he’s ready to shell out 5-M pesos again next month to help the people in need.

Meanwhile, Ranada responded to Revillame’s criticism, explaining to the TV host the meaning of ‘hijack’.

“Hi Willie Revillame!

According to him, the Philippines is already facing problems and the people should prioritize solving it instead of talking about his alleged ‘private video’.

However, Arizala accepted that he couldn’t please anyone so it’s still up to the people if they’re going to believe in the rumors.

To prove his point, he asked his followers why there’s no alleged private video of him that has been circulated on social media during the time when he was still in a relationship with girls.

It can be remembered that Arizala claimed that he’s already part of the LGBTQIA community and currently having a relationship with a man.

He then argued with his followers and denied that he’s the one who created the private video issue.

Arizala has yet to comment if he’s ready to file charges against the people spreading his alleged private video.

I did not want to resign, because we will be implementing Universal Health Care law, and then we were hit by COVID. It is not wise to change the course in the middle of the road,” Morales said in an interview with CNN.

“But nature has intervened. I will take the doctor’s advice. I already relayed to my boss my intentions. It is up for them to decide. It is medical leave,” he added.

Despite his medical leave, Morales insisted his innocence and even ready to show his properties to prove that he’s not pocketing the funds of PhilHealth.
