Former actress Josephine Manuel, who gained popularity during the ’80s, was declared missing.

According to her sister, Vilma Catama, the former actress was last seen wandering along the streets of EDSA together with her belongings.

Vilma expressed concern as she believed that her sister was already having mental health problems.

She narrated that her sister was talking to herself sometimes and preferred to live in the streets.

Meanwhile, former actress Liz Alindogan couldn’t believe that Josephine was already homeless.

Liz even admitted that Josephine worked for her as a housemaid and had already noticed her mental condition.

“Inoobserbahan ko siya. Naglalaba siya tuwing madaling-araw, may kinakausap siyang mag-isa. Nag-iiba siya,” Liz said.

“Minsan matino siya. Tahimik, nakangiti, parang bata. Kilos-bata,” she added.

“Matagal-tagal siya sa akin hanggang sa makita ko na may kinakausap siya sa grotto. Natatakot ako dahil baka mamaya, baka magwala siya,” she also said.

After several months, Josephine resigned as a housemaid to build a small business.

As of writing, Josephine was still nowhere to be found and fans were still hoping that they could still save the former actress like what some groups did to Brandy Ayala, who’s now recovering from her mental health problems.

Meanwhile, Shaira’s management, AHS Channel, released an official statement saying that deleting Selos was voluntary.

They’re already communicating with Lenka’s management to get permission to use the melody of ‘Trouble is a Friend.’

“On behalf of our artist, Shaira, AHS Productions would like to convey our heartfelt apologies to all those who have enjoyed listening to the song “Selos” as it is now unavailable on all online streaming platforms,” the management wrote.

Vice Ganda mentions Cristy Fermin on It’s Showtime: “Bwakbwakbwak”

Vice Ganda made fun of veteran columnist Cristy Fermin on It’s Showtime.

During the Tuesday episode of It’s Showtime, Vice seemingly reacted to the newest criticism he received from Cristy.

“Hindi lahat ng may electric fan madam, ‘yung iba si Cristy Fermin. Charot. Hahaha,”  Vice told his co-host Jhong Hilario when he noticed the mini-fan of the latter.

“Hindi siya madam…bwakbwakbwakbwak,” she added.

It can be recalled that Cristy was known for criticizing Vice and even questioned the comedian’s identity.

‘Yun ang isisigaw sa iyo!” she said.

The suspect behind the disappearance of beauty queen Catherine Camilon didn’t impress the senators who were investigating the issue.

Police Major Allan de Castro, who was rumored to be the last partner of Catherine before her disappearance faced the senate panel chaired by Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.

During the investigation, De Castro repeatedly denied that he was in a relationship with Camilon.

“Nagsasabi po ako ng totoo,  wala kaming relasyon, wala po,” De Castro said.

However, Dela Rosa believed that De Castro was lying to the panel.

“Nagsisinungaling ka sa harapan ko… wala kang ebidensya na hindi kayo magboyfriend, na hindi mo siya (Camilon) girlfriend. I’m not satisfied with your explanation,” Dela Rosa said.

As a result, the senator cited De Castro for contempt.

It can be recalled that even the Camilon family admitted that De Castro had a relationship with the beauty queen.

De Castro already had a wife during his alleged affair with Camilon.

“AKO ANG KAPATID AT AKO ANG NAGSASABI NG TOTOO, MALAKING KAHIHIYAN ANG ISSUE NA ITO PERO HINDI KO KAHIT KAILAN ITINANGGI SA MGA TAO ANG PAGKAKAMALI NG KAPATID KO, DAHIL YUN ANG TOTOONG GINAWA NYA, AT KITA KO NAMAN SA MGA EBIDENSYA!! SA TOTOO LANG DAPAT NGA NILALABAS NIYO NA PANGALAN AT MUKHA NUNG PERSON OF INTEREST, PERO HINDI NIYO MAGAWA,” Chin-chin Camilon said.

Gelli de Belen said she was ready to interfere with her children’s love life if needed.

During an interview with Pep.ph, Gelli was asked if she was willing to also receive the same criticism as her friend, Carmilla Villarroel.

It can be recalled that Carmilla’s interference was blamed for the breakup of her son, Mavy Legaspi, and his former partner Kyline Alcantara.

Mavy was even labeled as a ‘mama’s boy’ for letting his mother interfere with his relationship.

Carmina’s post also went viral on social media.

“Dear Mavy and Cassy, people can destroy your image, damage your personality, create rumors about you but they can never take away your good deeds. Because no matter how they describe you, you will always be admired by those who know you best,” Carmina wrote.

Former actress Brandy Ayala has made huge progress since being saved by the group, which was led by former actor and model Lito Gruet.

It can be recalled that in 2023, Brandy, Remedios Estrada in real life, was featured in several media outlets due to her deteriorating mental health condition and many netizens believed that she was already beyond saving.

However, Lito’s Battle Against Ignorance Foundation (BAI) proved they could save the actress despite not receiving help for many years.

Lito’s group brought Brandy to Safehaven Recovery Village in Cebu City, a known rehabilitation center for successfully normalizing people with mental health problems.

It only took several weeks to see Brandy’s improvement, far from her condition when media members discovered her.

Brandy’s willingness to help herself also contributed to her recovery.

“For now she is adjusting to her new environment. She is now staying at Safehaven Recovery Village where she will be sheltered, fed, treated, cared for, and loved,” said Lito.

“BAI Foundation will continue to support her with all her needs. BAI Foundation is here to help the neglected, the abandoned, the lonely, broken, wounded, and hurting and we need your support to be able to sustain loving and caring for all of those we have rescued who live in the facility,” he added.

Senator Robin Padilla expressed his support for making the founding anniversary of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) a special national non-working holiday.

In his statement, Padilla, who chairs the Committee on Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes said that it was only proper to recognize the contribution of INC in the country.

“Nasaksihan ko po ang very godly mission ng INC hindi lang po sa Kristiyanong komunidad kundi maging sa mga Muslim,” Padilla said.

Senate Bill No. 1546 also known as a commemoration of the founding anniversary of the Iglesia ni Cristo Act, was authored by Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr.

“As one of the biggest religious organizations in the country, it is proper to recognize their founding anniversary as a special national non-working holiday, given that a number of our regular holidays are religious in nature,” Revilla wrote.

“Republic Act No. 9645, or the “Commemoration of the Founding Anniversary of Iglesia ni Cristo Act’, was enacted to recognize the exemplary feat of Iglesia ni Cristo in leading its members towards spiritual enlightenment and good citizenry. More than a decade after, we seek to further bolster this recognition by seeking to declare July 27 of every year as a special national non-working holiday in the Philippines,” he added.

The bill received mixed reactions from the netizens; some even said that Padilla was only trying to impress INC.

“Tumatanaw lang sya ng utang na loob sa mga bumoto sa kanya, pulitika nga naman!” netizen Alvin said.

Pet lovers were mourning the unfortunate passing of the golden retriever named Killua after he was allegedly victimized by a man who was allegedly planning to eat the dog.

According to the statement released by Killua’s fur mom, Vina Rachelle, the golden retriever exited their gate in Bato, Camarines Sur around 5:40 AM and was even captured by a CCTV camera while being chased by the suspect carrying a hard object.

Vina suspected that the suspect was planning to cook Killua as cooking equipment and coal were around the area where she found her pet.

The owner hinted that she would pursue charges against the suspects.

“Hello po, sa mga humihingi po ng update kasi hindi ko po mareplyan isa-isa, I cannot disclose any information po pero I promise po na makakamit natin yung hustisya para sa furbaby ko at para din matigil na ang pagabuso at pagkatay sa mga dogs dito sa lugar namin,” she said.

“Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng sumusuporta kay Killua para sa laban na ito at sa lahat po ng nag aabot ng tulong. Killua is probably happy na madaming nagmamahal sakanya aside from his family,” she added.

In a Facebook post, the teacher, using the social media ID @serendipitylover, disclosed teaching in Metro Manila.

However, DepEd said they would not disclose the teacher’s identity to protect her privacy.

“We don’t want the teacher to be subject to public scrutiny now that the admin process has started,” DepEd Assistant Secretary Francis Bringas said.

It can be recalled that the teacher went viral on the internet after she publicly lectured her students while livestreaming on her social media page.

“Hindi ako nag-board exam para lang hindi irespeto ng mga katulad niyong wala pa namang nararating sa buhay. Hindi na nga kayo matalino, sama pa ng ugali ninyo,” the teacher said.

DepEd said that they would still try to investigate if the incident happened inside the classroom during the working hours of the teacher.

Several netizens questioned why the teacher used social media during school hours.

If proven, the teacher may be liable for not following the DepEd Order No. 49 series of 2022 or the Promotion of Professionalism in the Implementation and Delivery of Basic Education Programs and Services,
