Actor Tony Labrusca cursed immigration officers at NAIA: “People asking pictures w/ me and you’re giving me hard time!”

Actor Tony Labrusca, who became famous because of the movie ‘Glorious’ is currently in hot water after being accused of cursing several immigration officials who didn’t give him a ‘balikbayan’ stamp to extend his stay in the Philippines for more than 30 days.

According to the reports, the incident has been revealed by a netizen who saw Labrusca’s social media post yesterday complaining about the 30-day duration gave to him by the immigration.

“Just landed in Manila and the Philippine immigration only gave me 30 days here. LOL. k” Labrusca said in his now-deleted tweet.

Several hours after Labrusca’s tweet, a netizen who’s working in the immigration office of NAIA terminal 1 during the incident criticized the new actor for continuing complaining even on social media.

The netizen also revealed how Labrusca who’s a US Citizen treated the Filipino immigration officials.

In his post, the immigration official said:

“You don’t have a Philippine passport, not even born in the Philippines, and not traveling with Filipino parents, but you want the same treatment as the other former Filipinos.

You even shouted and cursed at my supervisor, bragging that you’re a celebrity.

Boo!

The funny thing is, you were so proud to brag that you work here when you’re only supposed to be a tourist here in the Philippines.

Tapos mai ganito ka pa na post. Palakpakan!

For your info, Balikbayan visa is not a working visa.

Nakakahiya ka. Period.”

Another netizen from the comment section which seems personally witnessed the infamous incident quoted what Tony Labrusca exactly told the immigration officer that he tried to intimidate.

“Can you f**king understand my situation? People are asking/taking pictures w/ me and you’re giving me a hard time!” Labrusca allegedly told the immigration officer according to the witness.

Another netizen on Instagram urged Labrusca to apologize for his actions against the immigration officers, explaining that it’s impossible for him to extend his stay in the Philippines because he’s not traveling with his Filipino parents.

He also reminded Labrusca that he’s still new in show business and he should avoid acting like a VIP.

“You should be thankful that they didn’t even bar you from entering the Philippines but don’t worry you’ll soon be rewarded by punishment,” netizen Brandon Mendoza said.

Mendoza also revealed that Labrusca has already being pacified by his alleged boyfriend, however, the actor didn’t stop ranting.

“Fix your attitude, fly high but keep your feet on the ground, again you are just a noob celebrity,” he said.

After the incident gone viral, Labrusca finally released a statement apologizing to the immigration officers he cursed.

“I was unaware of the policy that because I was not with my mother, I did not qualify for a Balikbayan stamp,” he said.

“It was very upsetting for me. And I’m sorry that somehow, I took my frustrations out on the officer. But never did I ever call anyone stupid, nor an idiot much less brag about being a celebrity. I know for a fact that the officer is merely doing her job. My biggest mistake perhaps was letting my emotion get the better of me and again, I’m sorry.” he added.

As of writing, the Bureau of Immigration (BOI) is not yet releasing a statement on the incident.

“Bato for President?” President Duterte says Dela Rosa is the only one he can trust to be his successor

President Rodrigo Duterte named another person who can potentially replace him as the leader of the country.

On Thursday (January 3), Duterte said that he could trust Dela to become his successor because of his incomparable loyalty to the former Davao City Mayor.

During the presidential elections, Dela Rosa who’s a former Davao City chief expressed his support to Duterte, saying that he would punish anyone who would try to cheat Digong, a sign that Bato is very loyal to the chief executive.

“[H]e was with me all those years until I became president and there was no one else that I could trust with my life and maybe the presidency, and it’s — si Bato,” Duterte said.

Several days ago, Duterte was shocked by the latest SWS survey results on the 2019 senatorial elections, questioning why his top bets, including Bato, was put in the lower rankings.

“I do not have to derogate others pero yung sa ano ngayon nangunguna sa survey, susmaryosep (the latest survey front-runners, oh my goodness) but if that is the way your country…” Duterte said during the birthday party of former political affairs adviser Francis Tolentino in Tagaytay City.

“And not because he is a friend, he has proven integrity, si Bato [dela Rosa]. Fundamentally honest. ‘Pag binigyan mo ng pera para sa operation, he produces results. Magbigay ng accounting. That is how he is trained,” he said.

Bato is one of the leading bets of the Duterte administration.

Aside from Bato, Duterte also named Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte and former Senator Bongbong Marcos as potential leaders who could replace him in 2022.

Sister of Miriam Defensor Santiago calls Duterte ‘morally bankrupt’: “Nakakasuka na!”

Paula Defensor-Knack, the sister of late Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, slammed not only President Rodrigo Duterte but also the social media bloggers who allied with the government like her before.

Amid the issue on President Duterte’s admission about what he had done with their maid during his teenage years, Knack called the chief executive a ‘morally bankrupt’ and explained that she’s only maintaining the moral values by her sister.

After receiving a tremendous amount of criticisms from her own Facebook fans, Defensor-Knack released a statement saying as a Christian; it’s her role to criticize public officials like Duterte who’s lack of values.

“We are Christians with a conscience, and we have tried to remind, to constructively criticize, cajole and correct PUBLIC OFFICIALS WHOSE SPEECH IS MORALLY BANKRUPT, but nothing happened …. so enough is enough! We do not subscribe to rule by vulgarity.” Defensor said in her post.

Knack also challenged her followers to unfollow her on Facebook, saying that she’s not begging for likes in the first place.

She also said that unlike other bloggers, she didn’t pay to get millions of likes and followers or ‘solicit free plane tickets for trips abroad’.

“You can unfollow us and we don’t give a damn because we didn’t ask you to follow us and I am not running for public office. WE DID NOT PAY TO HAVE MILLIONS OF LIKES AND FOLLOWERS, available for a fee at a Facebook office. Who are you kidding ?! We also do not solicit free plane tickets for trips abroad. Neither do we receive money from politicians to protect them online. HINDI KAMI FOR SALE.” she said.

The Pro-Duterte blogger who turned critical against the administration also called President Duterte’s recent statement as ‘sickening’.

She also criticized some bloggers who defended the President despite his mouth, just because they’re receiving free plane tickets and sponsorships on social media.

Knack released spoke about the ‘free plane tickets’ allegedly received by some bloggers amid the revelation of blogger Tonyo Cruz that some pro-admin Facebook page owners received a free trip to Korea.

Mar Roxas’ alleged PR man to President Duterte: “Kung nandito sa harap ko yan, sasapakin ko yan,”

The alleged public relations guy of 2019 senatorial candidate Mar Roxas had a fierce message to President Rodrigo Duterte.

In his tweet on December 30, journalist and PR guy Philip Lustre Jr. who’s reading the article posted by journalist Inday Espina Verona didn’t hesitate to share what he would do to the President on social media, saying that he would hit the chief executive in the face if he got a chance to meet him personally.

“Kung nandito sa harap ko iyan (si Duterte)… sasapakin ko iyan, Inday… Wala ng maraming daldal… bibigyan ko ng isang matinding suntok sa bibig iyan…” Lustre Jr. said.

However, several netizens criticized Lustre Jr. for acting like a brave man for posting those kinds of message the President.

“antapang ni lolo.. hahaha pano kaya kung nakaharap ka na di kaya sasayaw mga paa mo? Lolo, wag na tayo magllokohan, laking squatter yan si PRRD nde tulad ng elitistang iniidolo mo na kaya mo takutin..” Netizen Cheeny Kee said.

While scrolling down, some netizens also discovered that Lustre was not only tweeting messages against the President but also against the Mindanaoans who supported the chief executive.

In his post several days ago, Lustre Jr. said that the Mindanaoans got easily tricked by President Duterte because they’re not smart.

“Hindi pa lang niya naiintindihan na naiisahan siya. Alam mo naman ang mga taga-Mindanao, mahihina ang mga kukote. Pero kapag nabuko niya, maglalaslasan sila ng lalamunan at manonood lang tayo…” he said.

Lustre has been accused during the 2016 presidential elections of spreading false rumors about Duterte’s health.

“If it is true that Philip Lustre Jr. is a PR of Roxas and he won’t stop what he is doing, then I will let the whole world know who really Mar Roxas is, don’t blame me,” Duterte said.

He’s also become infamous for allegedly setting fire an apartment he was renting at Quezon City while her girlfriend and four children were inside.

President Duterte orders investigation on Richard Santillan’s case

Several weeks after the encounter that resulted in the loss of Attorney Glenn Chong’s bodyguard Richard Santillan, President Rodrigo Duterte finally ordered an investigation to catch to the mastermind behind the latter’s alleged ambush.

In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that President Rodrigo Duterte already ordered to probe Santillan’s case.

However, Duterte reminded that the investigation should be “fair and through.”

Santillan has been accused of being a member of the Hi-way Boys group that was being linked to carnapping.

“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has ordered a fair and thorough investigation of the case until the mastermind are put behind bars,” Panelo said.

“Serious accusations have been made against some members of the CALABARZON Police. Let the chips fall as they may,” he added.

The Palace also assured the netizens that the current administration is also fighting the erring policemen who’re using their authority to do illegal activities.

“As we know by now, PRRD does not condone erring men in uniform who grossly violate the law. Similar to the Batocabe murder case, he certainly has the same commitment of getting justice done for the family, relatives, friends and for all those Mr. Santillan left behind.” Panelo said.

The case of Santillan also made some netizens to question President Duterte’s ability to cleanse the image of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Even PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde received criticisms from Atty. Glenn Chong for allegedly being silent on the case of Santillan.

Aside from Duterte, PNP Chief and now Senatorial candidate Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa also announced that he would help to solve the case of Santillan by talking to some generals.

Meanwhile, Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) found that the story of the police about Santillan’s case was not real, saying that they found several pieces of evidence that would prove that the bodyguard has been persecuted by the cops.

“I lifted the blanket…I tried to touch what was inside the (panties),” the president said. “I was touching. She woke up. So I left the room.”

She also called the actions of Duterte as ‘rude’ and warned her that the enemy of the state might use the controversy to lower the popularity of the administration’s bets in the upcoming 2019 senatorial elections.

“it’s not funny ! ….. abogado ka, ang pagsasamantala sa maid ang mga kinukwento mo lagi ! ground for disbarment AND VIOLATION OF RULES OF CONDUCT IN CIVIL SERVICE!” Defensor said.

“Ilang beses na tong kabastusan mo BAKA GANTIHAN MGA KANDIDATO MO SA DARATING NA HALALAN …. SOBRA NA ANG PAGKABASTOS -even the trolls defending you from backlash are helpless now ! PEOPLE ARE ANGRY!” she said.

“Sa gitna ng kabi-kabilang nararanasan ng mamamayan na kalamidad bago magtapos ang taon ay nagagawa pang magkuwento ng ganito ang Pangulong ito, sa halip na gamitin ang pagkakataon na makatulong sa mga mamamayan. ‘Di kailangang mga tao ang ganitong kuwento,” Rep. France Castro said in a statement.

According to him, the said bookstore should not accept or advertise the books written by Tiglao because he’s a loyalist of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and current President Rodrigo Duterte.

“Bakit hinayaan ng popular bookstore na maging advertiser sila nitong si Tiglao na tuta ni Gloria Arroyo at ngayon ni Duterte?” San Mateo said.

In response of San Mateo’s comment, a supporter of Duterte, Mark Tolentino accused San Mateo of being a representative of jeepney drivers despite not owning any jeep.

He said that San Mateo has no right to choose what book should be published by the bookstore that advertised Tiglao’s new book.

“George San Mateo, ikaw nga representative ng Piston ni wala kang jeep o drinidrive na jeep. Ikaw lang me karapatang pumili ng libro na ipupublish?” Tolentino said.

San Mateo quickly responded to Tolentino’s accusation, saying that he should not believe the propaganda being spread by Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

“Mark Tolentino talagang assuming ka agad na wala akong dina drive na jeep? Saan mo nakuha ang info na yan sa dotr at ltfrb? Wag ka kasi magpapaniwala agad sa sabi sabi.” he said.

Tolentino wants to continue the debate, however San Mateo blocked him already on Facebook.

“Does not change the fact na its the publisher’s right to select the book its publishes, it’s their right. It’s not your right though to cause public nuisance by blocking streets for your rally,” he said.

Meanwhile, several Duterte supporters slammed San Mateo for blocking Tolentino who only wanted to debate with him.

“PIKON KA PALA GEORGE! Asan ang Demokrasya kung BLOCKER ka pala pag pikon ka na?” Netizen Juan Tanong said.

Tamayo thanked Western Visayas regional police director Chief Supt. John Bulalacao for finally making the first move to defend the cops from being threated lowly by other people.

Bulalacao is the one who led the filing of cases against the two Garins for mauling a cop.

Tamayo also urged the netizens to respect the PNP because despite their status.

PNP warns Garin to surrender their firearms or face jail time

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Oscar Albayalde warned Iloilo Representative Richard Garin and his father, Guimbal town Mayor Oscar Garin Sr. that they will be put in jail if they continue to refuse to surrender their firearms.

According to Albayalde, Rep. Richard Garin is not yet surrendering his 11 firearms with some already expired licenses while his father, has eight guns with also expired licenses.

“According to the PNP-Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO), they have not yet heeded our order although we already informed them yesterday (Thursday) about the matter. We already issued a notice to them that all of their permits have been canceled,” Albayalde said.

“They have expired licenses and if they fail to surrender that, they can be subjected to a search warrant,” he added.

The Garins are facing trouble after they mauled a police officer several days ago.

As a response, the government filed a case against the two powerful politicians, they also canceled their permit to carry and removed their deputation over the local police.

Several hours after the warning of Albayalde, the Garins decided to surrender their firearms.

Photos posted by RMN-Iloilo showed the powerful guns owned by the two Garin.

The Garins are considered as a powerful political family in Iloilo, however, the current administration didn’t show any fear of giving them the right punishment.

President Duterte even angered by the incident.

“I will ask General Año to take a look bakit nagkaganun [why did it happen], investigate. I’m not urging him. I’m ordering him to file a case against the two. Iyong mag-ama na ‘yun [The father and son],” he said.

Mayor Oscar Garin Sr. and Iloilo Rep. Richard Garin to face lawsuits for mauling a policeman

Guimbal, Iloilo Mayor Oscar Garin Sr. and Iloilo 1st District Rep. Richard Garin are facing several lawsuits from the Philippine National Police after they have reportedly mauled a policeman last weekend.

According to PNP Region 6 Chief Supt. John Bulalacao, he would request for the cancelation of the mayor’s deputation over the police and relieve from his post the chief of police of Guimbal for not taking action to help his personnel..”.

Rep. Garin, who’s the husband of former Health Secretary Janette Garin is also facing a lawsuit for grave threats.

The victim, who’s identified as PO3 Federico Macaya of the Guimbal Municipal Police Station has been summoned by the Garins, who later handcuffed him, threatened him by pointing a gun to his head and the powerful politicians also seized his belongings.

They also allegedly mauled the policeman for still an undisclosed reason.

“I have already ordered the recall of their police escorts when I learned of this incident this morning,” Bulalacao said, noting that “most” of the members of the Guimbal police force “have requested for their transfer out of Guimbal” after the incident.

“I told Cong. Garin that I’m taking this incident as an affront to me. I will not let this pass without taking action against them,” Bulalacao said.

Meanwhile, Congressman Garin already apologized to the Philippine National Police, he also explained the reason why they mauled PO3 Macaya.

Garin explained that he didn’t control himself after he found out that Macaya allegedly asked a victim to withdraw the complaint against a person who hurt a child during a town celebration last week.

“Gusto ko lang maklaro na ang actions ko are not directed to the PNP as an institution, or against its officers and personnel. My actions were a mere display of extreme frustration towards one, single PNP personnel na sa aking palagay ay nag-commit ng great disservice to the people of Guimbal,” Garin said.

The congressman described Macaya’s act as “betrayal of public trust” for asking a victim to withdraw a charge that he/she filed.
