Actor and singer Juan Karlos Labajo couldn’t hide his sadness after his short encounter with his German father, Oliver Otolz.
In an interview, JK said that during the pandemic, he successfully traced his father’s number and quickly messaged him.
However, instead of receiving a reply from his father, JK has been blocked.
“I was able to find my Dad’s number, I messaged him. During that time hindi ko alam sasabihin eh. Sabi ko, ‘Hi, my name is Juan Karlos Labajo. I’m not asking for any financial or material aspect from you, I just would love to get to know you.’ Tapos seen zoned, blocked,” he said.
According to JK, he questioned himself why his father was evading him.
“Bakit? Anong ginawa ko? Anong kasalanan ko? Anong mali ko? I was brought back to that feeling that I felt when I was 8 years old when I had the first question of why. Umiyak ako non, sobrang hagulhol,” he stated.
It can be recalled that his father left him when he was still a baby. JK’s mother also passed away when he was twelve years old.
Several members of the Quezon City Police District filed a case against Vice President Sara Duterte and other staff of the Office of the Vice President on November 27, 2024.
QCPD members led by Chief PCol. Melecio Buslig expressed their support to Lt. Col. Van Jason Villamor, chief of QCPD Medical and Dental Unit, who filed a lawsuit against Duterte before the QC Prosecutors Office.
Villamor said that he was hurt during his encounter with the Vice President, but he refused to specify what happened that time.
Meanwhile, during a press conference, PNP Spokesperson Jean Fajardo presented a video that showed the Vice President shoving a member of QCPD during their attempt to put Duterte’s chief-of-staff Atty. Zuleika Lopez.
PNP already said that Duterte might be liable for violating Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code for Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority.
As of writing, OVP has yet to respond to the charges filed against her.
OPM legend Chito Miranda finally ended his silence after the authorities reportedly caught his wife, Neri Naig, violating Section 28 of Republic Act 8799 or the Securities Regulation Code.
In his Instagram post, Chito expressed his sadness over what happened to his wife and said they had already resolved some of the previous cases filed against Neri.
Chito insisted that Neri was only hired to endorse a company that allegedly urged several people to invest.
“Tulad ngayon, endorser lang sya tapos ginamit yung face nya to get investors. Kinasuhan sya ng mga nabiktima. Tapos last week, bigla na lang syang inaresto for the same case kahit hindi pa sya binigyan ng notice na may bagong complaint pala laban sa kanya, and di nya na-defend yung sarili nya,” said Chito.
“Wala syang nareceive na letter from the prosecutor, walang subpoena, walang kahit anong notice. Yung mga dati, nareceive namin nya, at nag comply sya, (alam naman ng lahat na madali kami mahanap sa Alfonso. Anyway, dinampot na lang sya bigla,” he added.
Chito mentioned a certain company called ‘Dermacare,’ where the complainants invested their money.
“Sobrang bait po ni Neri…as in sooobra. Eto yung babaeng kinulong ninyo without bail, habang nakalaya pa yung mga tunay na may kasalanan,” he stated.
Chito Miranda, the vocalist of the Legendary OPM band ‘Parokya ni Edgar,’ shared a photo of his wife, Neri Naig, on the date when the latter was allegedly held in the custody of the authorities.
In his post, Chito expressed his appreciation to his wife.
Chito refused to give any hints on what happened to Neri.
“Haraiku po,” Chito wrote.
On November 23, at 2:50 p.m., Neri was reportedly caught by the authorities at a convention center in Pasay City for 14 counts of violating Section 28 of Republic Act 8799 or the Securities Regulation Code.
The law prohibits any person from acting as a broker, dealer, salesman, or an associated person of any broker or dealer when buying or selling securities unless registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
It was also rumored that the actress was facing one count of estafa.
According to the Southern Police District, the bail was P126,000 for each count.
It can be recalled that Neri was known on social media as ‘wais na misis’ for giving financial advice to her followers.
She also owned several businesses in Tagaytay.
As of writing, Neri has yet to give any statement on the news surrounding the rumored charges against her.
Vice President Sara Duterte’s security personnel was expected to be reduced from 335 personnel from the military to 24 members of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
According to several news reports, an agreement happened between PNP Gen. Rommel Marbil and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. to reduce Duterte’s security.
Currently, 335 members of the Vice Presidential Security Protection Group (VPSPG) are handling Duterte’s security.
“All VPSPG personnel are being relieved and will be replaced by 24 PNP officers,” according to a member of VPSPG.
“They don’t even have a written order to show, and yet the 24 PNP personnel are already here,” they added.
Brawner Jr would lead the new security of Duterte.
It can be recalled that Duterte was facing left and right criticism after she declared that she already hired someone to take revenge for her if ever something bad happened to her.
She was also subject to an investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ) because of her statements.
Aside from being investigated by the executive branch, Duterte also faced a possible impeachment from Congress.
Duterte then defended herself from the criticism, saying she was facing threats from her political enemies.

Talent manager and columnist Lolit Solis praised President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for being a gentleman amid the criticism he received from Vice President Sara Duterte.
In her post, Lolit said that Marcos was showing decency despite the threats he received from Duterte.
“Napaka gentleman ni PBBM na hindi nagbigay ng negative reaction sa balitang ito. Ngiti lang ang naging sagot niya sa mga nagtanong. So proud of his being a true gentleman, as well as a good leader to follow. Cool at calm lang siya, worthy of a good leader,” said Lolit.
Lolit also believed that many people still supported the Marcos administration and also noticed how hardworking the president was.
“Gusto parin ng marami ang pagpapa takbo niya ng gobyerno. Minsan nga ay maawa ka na sa nakikita mong pagod sa kanyang mukha. At pati na sa kanyang mga close in cabinet,” she stated.
The columnist also said she would respect and follow Marcos as she was confident that the latter would lead them well.
As of writing, the post already received a tremendous 170 likes from her followers.
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had no time to meet his countrymen during his visit to the United Arab Emirates.
According to the report published by Khaleej Times, Marcos had already asked the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in UAE that his trip was so short that he couldn’t find a schedule to meet them.
Instead of meeting the OFWs contributing billions of pesos to the economy, Marcos would instead meet President Sheikh Mohamed in Abu Dhabi and other officials.
“The President begs the understanding of our kababayans (countrymen) in the UAE who have hoped for time with him, as he has decided to immediately fly back to Manila to resume his personal supervision and inspection of the relief and reconstruction activities in communities devastated by six successive typhoons,” the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said.
They were set to sign several agreements to improve the relations between the UAE and the Philippines.
OFWs were not happy that the President himself couldn’t find time to meet them.
“What kind of leader is this guy? He won’t meet his fellow countrymen in this foreign land? His countrymen who contributed big time because of remittances? No message of empower of emplowerment? Oh come on, boost our morale! Meet your kabayans, Mr. president. This isn’t about you after all, it’s all about us OFWs why you are going to have talks with the UAE government. Nandito ka dahil kami ang manpower ng bansang Pilipinas sa bansang ito. Haata na wala kang paki alam sa amin OFWs mas importante sa’yo ang agreement wherein makaka benefit ka din. Para ano ba naman ang isang oras halimbawa. I-entertain mo naman kami. Isama mo naman kami sa pinagkaka-abalahan mo,” netizen Nale said.
However, some OFWs expressed disinterest in meeting Marcos.
As of writing, Malacanang has yet to give a statement if they’re planning to change their plans during Marcos’ trip to UAE.
Former President Rodrigo Duterte clarified that he was referring to ‘chickens’ when he made an admission that he ended several lives during his career as a public official.
In a press conference held in Davao City on November 25, 2024, Duterte said that he was only giving them a silly answer because the members of the Quad Committee were asking him silly questions.
“The killing of what? Chickens ang sinabi ko don,” said Duterte. “Look, they were st*pid person asking questions, I was answering them st*pid answers,”
“They would like to hear kung ano ‘yung gusto nilang what they like to hear,” he added.
Duterte also addressed the military during his speech and asked them why they were still supporting President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr, who’s allegedly using banned substances.
He even mentioned Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo Jr, who allegedly had the same vices as Marcos.
It can be recalled that Duterte attended the Quad Comm hearing last November 13 to face several lawmakers who wanted to know more about his policies during his presidency.
His daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, was also being investigated by congress for different reasons.
Vice President Sara Duterte said that she was not afraid of facing the Department of Justice (DOJ) after they issued a subpoena against her.
The subpoena was released following the statements made by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. after Duterte made threats against his wife, Liza Marcos, and cousin, House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
“Kung ganoon na lang kadali ang pagplano sa pagpatay ng isang presidente, paano pa kaya ang mga pangkaraniwang mamayan? Ang ganyang kriminal na pagbabanta ay hindi dapat pinapalagpas. ‘Yan ay aking papalagan,” said PBBM.
During an interview on November 25, 2024, Duterte said that she would also ask questions to the DOJ.
“Hindi ko rin palalagpasin ‘yung mga ginagawa nila sakin. I wil gladly answer ‘yung mga tanong na gustoo nilang ipasagot pero dapat sumagot din sila sa mga tanong ko sa kanila,” she said.
“Magkita nalang kami doon,” she added.
Meanwhile, impeachment against Duterte was looming after the members of the Congress showed their numbers during the speech of Romualdez.
