The female motovlogger who went viral on social media after she published her confrontation with another motorist insisted that she was innocent of traffic violations.
In a statement, Yanna Aguinaldo, also known as Yanna Motovlog, said that while she respected the sanction imposed by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) against her, she believed that the evidence against her was lacking.
“I accept the sanction imposed- even in the absence of substantial evidence directly proving fault on my end,” she said.
She explained that she was using a trail bike when the video was taken, and it was normal for those kinds of motorcycles to have their side mirrors removed.
It can be recalled that Yanna was facing fines worth P7,000 for reckless driving and riding a motorcycle without side mirrors.
Her driver’s license was also suspended by LTO for refusing to surrender her motorcycle.
“This noncompliance not only violates the instructions mandated by this Office but also demonstrates outright disrespect for established legal procedures and regulatory enforcement. The failure to appear as ordered underscores a lack of regard for due process, accountability, and the authority vested in this Office,” according to the decision released by LTO.
“By refusing to present both the registered owner and the motorcycle for inspection, the concerned party has obstructed investigative proceedings, delayed efforts to establish responsibility, and undermined the integrity of enforcement measures,” they added.
Aside from those charges, the motorist, Jimmy Pascua, also filed several charges against the motorvlogger.
