Lolit Solis calls Liza Soberano ‘mayabang’ for her recent statement about love team: “Wala ka pang napapatunayan”

Talent manager and veteran columnist Lolit Solis couldn’t hide her disappointment over Liza Soberano’s recent statement about the love team culture in the Philippines.

It can be recalled that in an interview with foreign podcasters, Liza described the love team culture in the Philippines as toxic sometimes because some celebrities were forced to be with their pair all the time to satisfy their fans.

Liza was paired with her boyfriend Enrique Gil for almost the whole length of her career in the Philippines.

“They ship you and this scenario, there’s reel and real, and we’re supposed to be a real couple on and off cam and we only work with each other our whole career,” Liza said.

Lolit reacted to the said statements made by Liza, calling out the actress for being arrogant and not showing debt of gratitude for the prosperous career she gained because of her love team.

Filipino mariner calls out Miss Philippines Earth for allowing Miss Pangasinan to wear ‘kita singit’ swimwear: “This is too much!”

A former merchant mariner called out Miss Philippines Earth after he saw one of the contestants wearing very revealing swimwear during the competition.

The said contestant, Kerri Reilly who’s representing her province Pangasinan during the competition captured the attention of the netizens after she wore a swimsuit showing her groin area.

Reilly’s outfit received both positive and negative comments from the netizens who praised her for being confident while others criticized her for being too revealing.

Lacruiser Relativo, one of the most popular Filipino seaman on social media also went viral because of his open letter to Miss Philippines Earth, asking the people behind the competition why they allow Reilly to wear the said outfit.

According to him, the revealing outfit of Reilly was one of the reasons why beauty pageants were being tainted.

“This is one of the reasons why beauty pageants are often criticized for their emphasis on physical appearance and the objectification of our women. I feel that the organization crossed the line by advocating such beauty standards.” Lacruiser said.

“No wonder there has been a growing movement to shift the focus of beauty pageants away from physical appearance and towards other qualities that are more empowering and inclusive,” he added.

He suggested that beauty pageants should stop promoting revealing outfits and should focus on the “inner beauty, intelligence, and talent” of contestants.

“You have become hyper-focused on physical appearance by displaying too much skin to the verge of nudity. Beauty pageants, as part of our culture and tradition, has to strike a balance between celebrating physical beauty and promoting values. Not the other way around,” he also said.

As of writing, Miss Philippines Earth has yet to release a statement to the criticisms they received from the writer.

Sotto started to speak publicly about the issue between Tape Inc. executives after the said interview with Abunda.

Sotto said that Jalosjos made inaccurate statements about the real situation of Eat Bulaga, saying that not all the talents of the noontime show were paid like what the latter said.

The host also denied that Eat Bulaga was losing money like what Jalosjos claimed, saying that the noontime show earned hundreds of millions of pesos during the campaign period.

Aside from Gene, another singer Garth Garcia also reportedly received bad treatment from Vice’s assistant.

Gene also said that even Vice showed a bad attitude towards them despite being part of the comedian’s show.

Liza Soberano gained another controversy after commenting on the love team culture in Philippine showbusiness.

During an interview with podcasters Peniel and Ashley Choi, Liza said that the love team culture in the Philippines was sometimes toxic, forcing their artist to stick with their celebrity pair to make it appear that they love each other even behind the camera.

The former Kapamilya actress became popular after being paired with Enrique Gil who also became her longtime boyfriend.

“In the Philippines, there’s this huge phenomenon called love teams. Love team is when they put two actors together and they become like `Brangelina.’ They ship you and this scenario, there’s reel and real, and we’re supposed to be a real couple on and off cam and we only work with each other our whole career,” Liza said.

“So if you look at my previous movies and TV shows, I mainly worked with one co-actor and love team and you’re expected to be with that just one person throughout your career and your personal life. And people don’t wanna see you with other male actors or any other male in general,” she added.

Some netizen couldn’t hide their disappointment over the statement made by Liza especially that she became a popular celebrity in the Philippines because of the love team culture.

Shut up!” a netizen said.

“Ang cheap ng ganitong atake. Pagkatapos mong pagkakitaan, ngayon sisiraan mo, for what?

Morissette Amon says she’s ready to collaborate with Jake Zyrus: “It would be my honor. I’m a fan kasi”

‘Asia’s Phoenix’ Morissette Amon finally speaks after Raquel Pempengco compared her to Charice Pempengco.

It can be recalled that Mrs. Pempengco went viral on social media because of her statements, saying that Charice, who’s now known as ‘Jake Zyrus’ after his transition was better than Morissette.

The issue started when David Foster, one of the former collaborators of Charice chose Morissette to perform in his concert in Manila.

Kahit kanino mo pa ipakanta yang song mo.. Di mabibigyan ng hustisya,” Raquel said.

“NO GOOSEBUMPS.. NO STANDING OVATION.. Nothing compares…. Masasaktan lang,” she added.

In an interview with Pep.ph, Morissette seems to ignore the comparison made by Mrs. Pempengco and even said that she’s ready to share the stage with Jake.

She admitted that she’s one of the fans of Jake.

“It would be my honor. I’m a fan kasi kaya parang, ‘Ohhh, pinapakinggan ko lang ito dati tapos eto magkasama na.'” she said.

Morissette also pointed out the contribution made by Jake to the industry, saying that legendary musicians like David discovered the talent of Filipinos in singing because of the latter.

“I’m sure, that also prompted for David to come back to the Philippines because of working with Jake or Charice at that time, parang nakikita niya na ang dami pala na talagang magaling sa Pilipinas.” she stated.
