The Department of Education (DepEd) has already launched an investigation into the viral video where a teacher was shown throwing barbs at her students.

In the video, the teacher, who’s using the alias @SerendipityLover, can be heard trying to boast about passing her licensure exam and telling her students that they would fail in the future due to their attitude.

She even compared her students to the attitude of ‘squatters’ or those who are illegally settling in privately owned lands.

DepEd Deputy Spokesperson and Assistant Secretary Francis Bringas are already trying to verify the incident, which was caught live by thousands of netizens.

They’re also gathering complete information about the encounter to make an incident report before taking their next steps against the teacher.

Bringas said they would update the public on their next move immediately.

Many experts believed that the teacher would face administrative proceedings due to the words she used against her students.

There’s also a possibility that the teacher didn’t follow the DepEd Order No. 49 series of 2022 or the Promotion of Professionalism in the Implementation and Delivery of Basic Education Programs and Services, as she was caught using a social media platform while in the middle of her class.

As of writing, the teacher has yet to give any statement on the actions she has done to her students.

Content creator and toy collector Yexel Sebastian was facing serious charges for allegedly luring his followers to invest in a bogus company.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) already filed syndicated estafa, a non-bailable offense against Sebastian.

It can be recalled that Yexel already denied the accusations against him despite openly promoting the said business to millions of his followers.

This was Sebastian’s statement to his followers:

It’s time to defend myself and my whole family. I don’t want to speak up because even if we appeared bad and looked like trash in the Philippines, I’d accept all the negative comments just to fix everything peacefully, but what happened was the opposite. Even our safety has been put at stake. It’s painful to see my family pleading for me, Mikee, and Zyph’s safety, so I think this is the right time.]

‘Bakit naka-live habang may klase?’ Madam Kilay criticizes teacher who livestreamed while calling out her students

Content creator Jinky Anderson, popularly known as ‘Madam Kilay’ couldn’t stop herself from criticizing the teacher who went viral on social media after she lectured her students while doing a livestream.

In her social media post, she questioned why the teacher was doing live during class hours.

“Bakit naka-live ‘day. Unless mayroon kayong sine-search sa inyong laptop or sa Facebook about sa school, about sa mga subject. Pero naka live kayo, ‘di ba bawal yon?” She asked.

Anderson also asked why the teacher couldn’t contain herself in front of her students.

Anderson also said that the statements made by the teacher were already below the belt and discouraging for her students.

So pa’no magsisipag ‘yan? Paano sila makikinig sa’yo kung ikaw mismo dina-down sila,” she stated.

The content creator also reminded the teacher to choose her words carefully while handling children.

She even gave advice to the teacher to stop pursuing her profession if she couldn’t handle her students.

“Kung hindi mo na kaya ‘yong ganiyang klaseng trabaho at burn out ka na sa mga estudyante mo, find another job, ‘yung talagang walang stress para sa’yo,” she said.

It can be recalled that the teacher may face suspension for her attitude.

Teacher possible face suspension for calling out students during livestream

A teacher may face suspension after she criticizes her students while doing livestreaming.

In the said video, the teacher, who’s using an alias SerendipityLover was seen shouting at her students and reminding them about boundaries.

She even said that she was not being paid to be commanded by her students.

“Hindi ako nandito para gawin ninyong tau-tauhan ang gawin niyong robot at gawin niyong katatawanan sa harapan,” said the teacher while recording herself on camera.

Several netizens criticized the teacher for dispiriting her students.

“Instead of lifting their spirits and inspiring them, you are demotivating them by instilling to them na wala silang kwenta,” netizen Bam said.

“Inggrato; ugaling squatter” yeah we really have students like such, but that is why they are in the classroom, that is why their parents entrusted their children to you, for you to be a good example and to enlighten their children to be more and be the best that they can be,” he added.

The Department of Education (DepEd) implemented the Child Protection Policy or DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 to prevent any teachers from treating their students badly.

Because the said order was still in effect the teacher may be subjected to administrative proceedings for doing the said act to her students.

The Department of Interior and Local Government would launch an investigation against the officials of Bohol Province after discovering resorts built around the iconic Chocolate Hills.

According to Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, the officials may become responsible for allowing illegal structures to be built around the vicinity of the UNESCO Heritage Site.

“Under our Local Government Code, they have the mandate to enhance the right of the people to a balanced ecology. If illegal construction was allowed within a protected area, this would fall gravely short of this responsibility. We commit to working with the DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources) toward any resolution they deem just on this matter,” said Abalos.

Meanwhile, Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado said they’re already trying to resolve the issue.

It can be recalled that Bohol’s tourism went viral again on social media due to the criticism after several resorts were spotted in Chocolate Hills.

Captain’s Peak, Sagbayan Peak, and Bud Acta were the identified resorts built around the area, which were supposed to be protected by the law.

In 2022, Bohol also went viral on social media after one of its popular tourist spots, the Virgin Island in Panglao became populated by stalls selling expensive food.

In an interview with Julius Babao, Cita admitted that she was the woman in the photo circulating on social media, but she denied that she became homeless.

She said the photo was taken while she went to Manila City Hall in 2009.

Unfortunately, the photo went viral on social media and some people made false stories about her.

Cita said that she couldn’t hide her disappointment as media outlets didn’t even correct the people who spread the rumors against her.

The former actress also denied that she was already struggling, saying she could live normally.

Cita became popular after becoming part of Home Along Da Riles, portraying the boss of the show’s leading actor, Dolphy.

Her popularity became instrumental in winning a set in the council of Manila.

Actress Bea Alonzo was reportedly facing criticism from her own staff, veteran columnist Cristy Fermin revealed.

In her online program, Cristy disclosed the complaint made by the girlfriend of Bea’s driver due to bad treatment.

Cristy also said that Bea allegedly obligated her driver to shoulder the repair cost for her car.

As of writing, Bea has yet to give any response to the claims made by Cristy.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin admitted that Sarah Lahbati’s mother, Esther Lahbati, filed charges against her and her co-hosts, Rommel Chika, and Wendell Alvarez.

In her program, Showbiz Now Na, Cristy revealed that they’re the reason why Mrs. Lahbati visited the office of the Department of Justice.

However, instead of criticizing Mrs. Lahbati, Cristy couldn’t stop but praise the actress’ mother for being considerate during their meeting.

While Cristy didn’t disclose the exact reason for the charges against her, people speculated that it was related to her statements regarding the rumored separation between Richard Gutierrez and Sarah.

“Sa pinakamahabang panahon po, mula nung lumabas yung balita ng paghiwalay nina Richard Gutierrez at Sarah Lahbati, walang sinuman sa kanilang dalawa na kumukumpirma sa kuwento,” she said.

“Ang tagal! Hanggang sa isang araw ay nagsalita si Sarah na, ‘I am single,” she added.

Cristy believed that no one between the two camps could declare that they were single.

Yung annulment. Wala pa po yun. Kaya kumbaga, sa kanilang dalawa, walang may karapatan na magsabing ‘I am single,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Lahbati has yet to give any statement on the charges she filed against Cristy.

The management of the controversial Captain’s Peak in Bohol demanded fairness on the possible investigation they might face for building an infrastructure around the iconic Chocolate Hills.

In an interview, Captain’s Peak manager, Julieta Sablas said that other resorts built around Chocolate Hills could be considered worse than their resort.

“Meron pa pong maglala dito,” Sablas said.

Sablas might be referring to Sagbayan Peak in Sagbayan Town and Bud Agta in Carmen Town, who, according to her, were older than Captain’s Peak.

“When you are ordinary people in this business parang pinapahirapan po nila kami na mag-comply ng certificates po,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Senator Nancy Binay called for an inquiry on the current issue, saying that she would also call the representatives of Sagbayan Peak and Bud Agta and not just Captain’s Peak.

“It was reported that during the inspection conducted by the provincial board, it was found that Captain’s Peak Garden and Resort built cottages and water slides for a swimming pool at the foot or sides of at least three hills and that PAMB failed to full explain why it allowed the resort to use at least 20 percent portion of the Chocolate Hills,” she said.
