Otso Diretso senatorial candidate Erin Tañada reminded President Rodrigo Duterte about their good relationship in the past.
According to Tañada, a former lawmaker from Quezon City, President Rodrigo Duterte who’s the Mayor of Davao City during that time wanted him to run as Senator in 2013.
The opposition candidate was reacting on the statements of the President, comparing the senatorial candidate to his father, former Senator Wigberto Tañada.
“Maraming Salamat sa pansin PDu30. Why then did you want to endorse me for the 2013 Senate elections if PNoy included me in the Senate slate? You went to the hotel I was staying to ask me if I was running… You said I deserved to be in the Senate!” Tañada posted on Twitter.
He’s one of the politicians eyed by the Aquino administration to run in 2013 as one of Liberal Party’s candidate, but this plan didn’t happen.
Maraming Salamat sa pansin PDu30. Why then did you want to endorse me for the 2013 Senate elections if PNoy included me in the Senate slate? You went to the hotel I was staying to ask me if I was running… You said I deserved to be in the Senate!

He also called Tañada as the defender of the communists.
“Erin Tañada. What’s in a name? Tatay niya idol namin lahat mga abugado, marami man tayo abugado dito. Binabasa natin ‘yung libro. Pero itong Erin na ito, we elected him once upon a time a senator. What did he do? Mag-sige depensa ng mga komunista sa korte,” Duterte said
“The government, which was paying for his salary, wala talagang ginawa. Ang tatay nationalist. Ito list lang, walang national,” he added.
The father of Tañada is a known activist and a critic of the Marcos administration.

“Maski na iyun, pareho din yun (with running for president), mahirap pa yung Vice President you make sure that you can follow your President or else you’re in a mess,” said Villar.
“Ako kasi kung ako ang Vice President if I cannot follow my President I’ll just keep quiet. You know there’s a study na pag ikaw ay Vice President palagi mong inaaway ang President nagiging unpopular ka,” she added.
Villar denied that she’s giving indirect suggestions to Vice President Leni Robredo who’s a known critic of President Rodrigo Duterte.
She also expressed her support in the proposal where the winning presidential and vice presidential candidate would win as a tandem to avoid long-time conflicts while they’re in their position.
According to Villar, her beliefs came from her experience as a local politician before.

Villar is getting support from PDP-Laban and Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) which are both pro-government political parties.

According to him, the Philippines is known for breaching contracts.
“Ito si Florin Hilbay, solicitor general. Wala namang naipanalo. Nanalo ba tayo sa kaso natin? Karami nating bayad, totoo lang ngayon. Hindi akin, previous administration mga damages, mga kontrata because we were known then as a country who does not honor contractual obligations,” the President said.

Tama ka. Simple lamang ang pagiisip mo. Pls look up the meaning of "invasion" in a dictionary if you have one. I am sure that even if you are already a has-been singer, you can still afford to buy a second hand dictionary sa Recto Ave.
