President Duterte urges the people to send their donations to Red Cross instead of giving it to TV networks: “They were sorting out the things that were usable to them.”

President Rodrigo Duterte urged the Filipinos who wanted to help the victims of Typhoon Ompong to avoid donating relief goods to private television networks. Instead, they should send it to Red Cross, to the government or other humanitarian organizations.

“I will not mention it but yung mga prominent TV network, I’m giving you a testimony, personal. Ang sabimag-donate kayo, used clothes ganun, sa kanila  then they’ll give you a bank account number where you can deposit your donation. You’re better off giving it to government or to the military and let them distribute it direct,” Duterte said in a situation briefing at the Provincial Capitol Guest House in Isabela.

According to Duterte, he witnessed how employees of a local television network in Davao City is stealing the relief goods entrusted to them by the good samaritans.

During his term as Davao City Mayor, Duterte has a weekly talk show titled “Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa” handled by ABS-CBN network.

“Because I have a TV program, nakikita ko yung matatanda diyan sa opisina they were sorting out the things that were usable or are usable for them,” Duterte said.

Maniwala kayo sa akin as your president, I’m giving you what I saw and what I have learned so ‘yan lang muna,” he added.

Duterte clarified that he’s not forcing the people to trust the government when it comes in distributing relief goods, but according to him, he saw the public officials doing their job during the times of calamity.

Hindi naman mapilit ang perception ng tao sa amin,” Duterte said.

“But most of the officials who have sworn their duty to the people, nandiyan ‘yan nagta-trabaho,” he added.

He also praised the local officials of Isabela province for their quick disaster response on the victims of Typhoon.

Ang pumunta ako dito is to congratulate the officials, the governor, vice governor and everybody of you who were ready at the forefront really to face the onslaught and I admire the preparation…” Duterte said.

The two television network giants, ABS-CBN and GMA have their own foundation to help people during disasters.

Duterte’s anger against mainstream media started when he accused television networks of writing malicious and misleading news against him.

Artist Moira Dela Torre slams by Ilocanos for showing bad attitude before the Marcos fest: “I AM NOT A MARCOS APOLOGETIC”

Artist Moira Dela Torre is now receiving a tremendous amount of criticisms from the Ilocanos after she denied that she was aware that she’s performing in an event organized to commemorate the 101st birthday of late President Ferdinand Marcos.

In Twitter, Dela Torre clarified to her disappointed anti-Marcos fans that the organizers told her that she’s going to perform in Laoag, Ilocos Norte on September 11 for an event called “Ilocano Millenial Night.”

The discussion started when netizen Jericho Rayel Timbol (@jerichorayel) tweeted about Moira’s past post about President Rodrigo Duterte, saying that “President Duterte can still improve his speeches” and she also believed that God did not make him as a President “by accident”.

Later on, Timbol approached Dela Torre, asking about her deleted tweet and the artist’s recent performance during the Marcos event.

“I think Moira and I are on the same faith. Usually, we say this to emphasize God’s works. But categorically, it should be, “God allowed it to happen.” Mas malala ang pagkanta niya sa Marcos Event.” Timbol said.

“However, ano kaya ang masasabi ni @moirarachelle4 two years after that tweet? Dapat hindi mo dinelete ate.” he added.

In response, Dela Torre told Timbol that she deleted her tweet because her beliefs about President Duterte already changed.

The artist also denied that she was aware that she’s going to perform for the late-President.

“It’s been two years. I’ve seen more things, I’ve learned more. I deleted it because that came from a time when I didn’t know any better. This Marcos Fest was supposed to be called I-Millenial Fest. I AM NOT A MARCOS APOLOGETIC. Never will I be.” Moira said.

To prove that the organizers fooled her, Moira disclosed a reminder from her phone, showing that she got reminded that she’s going to perform at Ilocano Millenial Night.

“No, I didn’t. From the earlier reminders til before we got there, they addressed it as the Ilocano Millenial Night. Not once was his name brought up. So let me be clear about this: I performed for the people of Ilocos and NOT for Marcos.” Dela Torre said.

She said that the producers lied to her which made her more disappointed.

“It was the producer who failed to give us all the information. I think he purposely left that out to keep us from not accepting the event…. which makes me even angrier.” she said.

The said thread has gone viral on the internet and sparked outrage among Marcos supporters mostly from Ilocos Norte.

The organizers of the said event also slammed Dela Torre for denying that she was not aware of the Marcos Fest.

Aian Raquel, Head of Provincial Tourism Office of Ilocos Norte criticized Moira and accused her of being unprofessional before and during the event.

In her open letter, Raquel said that Dela Torre was aware by the Marcos fest before she flew to Laoag.

He also said that Dela Torre was in the bad shape during the event and even showed up late.

“Nobody tricked you Moira Dela Torre. You knew that the event was called “Marcos Fest,” at the very least posters were up even before you flew to Laoag. Don’t make it seem like we lied to get you to perform. Ask your agent and your manager about it and please, don’t blame the “producers.”  Thank you for bringing your music to Ilocos, and we were really appreciative of you even if you were late for 20 minutes and with a bad, sickly voice. You were supposed to perform @ 10pm. We all had fun, Moira.
But now that you are complaining about performing at an event where you’re requirements and demands were given, including your fee, bakit parang nambabastos ka?” Raquel said.

To prove that she’s aware that she’s going to perform at the Marcos Fest a netizen shared a screenshot, showing Dela Torre liked the promotional poster of the said event.

However, when we checked the promotional poster, it seems that Dela Torre already removed her reaction, but some of the netizens’ heart reaction remains in the post.

Ilocos Norte Journalist and Vera Files contributor Bernard Ver also disclosed another shocking information about Moira, accusing her of showing lousy attitude during her visit in Laoag.

According to Ver, Moira became demanding in choosing her hotel because of her allergy from “wood, dust, and pollution.”

He also said that Moira only sang 40% of her songs during the performance, saying that the artist asked the audience just to sing her song.

I was there during the concert. Ver said.

“I love your songs, but I don’t like your attitude.Tinuring ka ng maayos ng mga kababayan ko. Ngayon naman, umayos ka.” he added.

Xavier Rafales Ruiz, a tourim professional also claimed that Moira and her team acted like a “Royal Family” during their stay in Ilocos.

“Pwede ba Moira Dela Torre. You knew you were performing for the Marcos 101 event. Kung di ka Marcos “apologetic”, you could’ve declined the event. Ah wait, money. I forgot, money. And your team acted as if you were part of the Royal Family while you were in Ilocos! So many demands na pinagbigyan ka naman. Sorry, wag kami. Kakatama lang ng bagyo dito.” Ruiz said.

As of writing, the Ilocos Norte government is not yet releasing a statement on the issue.

Dela Torre is known for her songs “Malaya”, “Titibo-tibo”, and cover of Imago’s “Sundo”.

Presidential daughter Veronica Duterte also said that she idolized Moira, even showing an Instagram photo of her together with the artist.

““when @moirarachelle told me “I hope you enjoy this album and that you’re always reminded of your worth— so precious and worth fighting for” that hit me hard ?❤️? WE LÜV YOOOOOOUUUUUU ?✨,””

However, Veronica already deleted the Instagram photo as of writing.

ICYM: Viral criminology graduate who threatens a netizen on social media explains his side

A criminology graduate was bombarded by criticisms from the netizens after his conversation with a man that he threatens on the internet circulated.

The conversation went viral on social media in 2017, however, it was mysteriously circulated on the internet this year after it was shared by several criminology students and graduates.

Michael James Ramos Ramasasa, a criminology graduate of Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR) allegedly threatened to kidnap the family of Ryan Rycel Cannillas, he even threatened the Canillas that he would harm his girlfriend and burn their house.

As an evidence that he’s serious in his threat, Michael Ramamasa sent a photo to the victim while holding an alleged firearm.

He even included his girlfriend who became the reason of the feud between Ramasasa and Canillas.

When Michael Ramamasa traced the school where Canillas studied, he threatened that he would go to his school to finish the job.

The criminology graduate also allegedly tried to extort money to Canillas in exchange of the safety of his family and girlfriend.

Ramamasa asked for 10,000 pesos in exchange of the head of Canillas’ family and girlfriend.

Michael Ramamasa explains his side

After he went viral, Michael Ramamasa explained on his Facebook page why he chosen to threaten Canillas.

He also showed some of the conversation between him and Canillas that the latter didn’t show on the internet.

According to him, Canillas disrespected and harassed his girlfriend on the internet, he also even challenged the criminology graduate to a fist fight.

When Ramamasa realized that Canillas already crossed the line, he started to threaten the guy who disrespected his girlfriend.

Ramamasa even urged Canillas to end their feud and apologize but he didn’t stop in ranting.

He also clarified that the gun that he’s holding in the photo that he sent to Canillas was fake.

Ryan Canillas was also reportedly gone viral before after he was caught punching a passenger inside a public utility vehicle last year.

After the explanation of Michael Ramamasa, several netizens realized that Canillas might also wrong for what he did.

But they explained that the criminology graduate must not threaten the Canillas because he’s going to be a police soon and he must know how to control his temper.

They also believed that Ramamasa should face disciplinary action for what he did.

Most of the netizens were also not convinced by the explanation of Ramamasa and they still attacked him on the internet despite the explanation that he gave.

If Ramamasa was proven that he threatened someone, he might face violation for grave threat, malicious mischief and extortion.

PCCR also conducted an investigation on the case of Ramamasa.

“We are currently investigating the matter. Rest assured PCCR does not tolerate or condone any form or acts of violence. Thank you” PCC said in their statement.

We are seeking for an update if PCCR already gave a disciplinary action to their student.

Duterte asks for bread and coffee for his late lunch during his arrival in Tuguegarao: “Hindi pa kasi kami kumakain”

President Rodrigo Duterte who’s usually stayed in Davao City during weekends decided to remain in Luzon this week to closely monitor the situation of the provinces affected by Typhoon Ompong.

As the weather typhoon signals have been lifted on Sunday morning, Duterte and his team quickly went to Cagayan Provincial Capitol in Tuguegarao City to discuss the preparations and operations relative to the onslaught of Typhoon Ompong with the head officials from different government agencies and local government units (LGUs).

But it seems that the President was so tired and sleepless during his arrival in Tuguegarao as he quickly asked for a quick lunch in the middle of the meeting, requesting for bread and coffee.

“Di pa kami kumain sa totoo lang.. maski pan o kape okay ako..” Duterte said.

It was seen during the meeting that Duterte was eating, a sign that the President couldn’t resist his hunger anymore.

Before the meeting, Duterte made an aerial inspection along the province together with Special Assistant to President Christopher “Bong” Go.

Duterte’s supporter praised the President for being hands-on in managing the disaster happened in Luzon.

Meanwhile, Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Francis Tolentino reported that the government is now focusing on distributing relief goods and repairing the infrastructure destroyed by the Typhoon.

He also confirmed that there are around 24 confirmed casualties and 13 missing, mostly due to landslides.

Most of the casualties came from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

He also said that there are no casualties reported in Isabela and Quirino province.

Tolentino also urged the provinces affected to declare a state of calamity to trigger price freeze.

In response with Tolentino’s report, Duterte said that he might visit CAR tomorrow to check the situation there.

Some Cabinet members also reported to President Duterte and shared their experience during their stay in the provinces struck by the typhoon.

After the meeting, President Duterte went to Laoag Capitol in Ilocos Norte to conduct another meeting with the other government officials.

At least 270,000 people were affected by Ompong.

Edcel Lagman says Duterte administration cause damage more than Ondoy, Yolanda and Ompong

Albay’s first district Representative Edcel Lagman slammed the Duterte administration in the middle of the Typhoon Ompong’s onslaught in Luzon, saying that the current President caused more damage than the natural calamities struck the Philippines.

In his statement, Lagman said that Duterte’s policies “could be worse than the combined disasters caused by Ondoy, Yolanda, Ompong and other typhoons and calamities,”

“When President Duterte took over the presidency in July 2016, inflation was only 1.3 percent. Now it is a crippling 6.4 percent due in no small measure to culpable government neglect and errant policies,” he said.

He mentioned the economic problems faced by the Duterte government which he believes more damaging than any strongest typhoon that hit the country.

“The traffic gridlock when Duterte became President cost the country P3 billion daily in lost opportunities. Now, with the worsening traffic mess, the daily loss is equivalent to P3.5 billion or P1.3 trillion per year, which is 34 percent of the P3.757-trillion proposed budget for (next year),” he added.

Lagman also pointed out that more Filipinos are now considered themselves as poor compared to the past administration.

The Duterte administration also ruined the judicial system of the Philippines, according to Lagman citing how Atty. Maria Lourdes Sereno was ousted via an “irregular petition for quo warranto”.

“In 2016, the (country) had a fairly respectable and independent judiciary but Duterte has destroyed the judicial system when he inveigled the Supreme Court to oust in an improvident and irregular petition for quo warranto chief justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, whom he publicly urged to be removed for being his enemy,” he said.

Lagman also cited that the Philippines was being considered by Asian region as the leader in terms of human rights protection “but has lost that premier status when Duterte campaigned for the restoration of the death penalty and violated human rights with impunity.”

Lagman is one of the fiercest critics of the Duterte administration.

Meanwhile, netizens didn’t receive Lagman’s politicking in the middle of the natural calamity, saying that as a lawmaker he should also help the victims of the Typhoon.

“Instead of praying and helping the typhoon victims… They use it as an opportunity to Slam the govt… Is this how we want the yellows back?” Joey Ruiz said.

“Cant help but comment..in times like this, pls set aside your political anguish..many people have been greatly affected..mas makakabuti na magtulungan na lng po” Joanna Bonifacio-Luna remarked.

“The damage you and your party mates did to the Philippines is far more destructive then all the typhoons and earthquakes combined. Everytime you open your big mouth’s it is to say some horendous lies.” Carmina Gomez commented.

Father Robert Reyes to soldiers: “Mahiya-hiya naman kayo sa inyong balat. Ginagamit lang kayo ni Duterte!”

Activist Priest Father Robert Reyes believes that the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) should be ashamed of themselves for letting them being used by their Commander-in-Chief.

After a mass held by the supporters of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, who’s still inside the Senate building, Reyes urged the military to avoid being used in politics.

According to him, the military should act according to the truth, justice, the law, and their nationalism and not arrest Sen. Trillanes who’s facing possible detention after President Rodrigo Duterte voided his amnesty.

“Hindi po kayo tuta o alipin ng isang tao. Ang pinaglilingkuran niyo, kami ang taumbayan, hindi isang tao. Magising po kayo, ginagamit kayo, kayo’y ginogoyo,” Reyes said.

“Kayo po’y sundalo ng bayan, hindi kayo private army ng isang tao. Mahiya-hiya naman kayo sa inyong balat. Wake up and go back to your people, to us.

“He should not dictate upon you to betray the Constitution and the Filipino people. Pabayaan niyo na po si Sen. Trillanes.”

Reyes also shared that they’re going to finish a 9-day novena dedicated to Senator Antonio Trillanes.

Reyes who’s also known as the running priest is known for openly supporting the key members of the Liberal Party and opposition.

Another priest who gave the homily at the mass said that the 8-point drop in Duterte’s trust rating should be celebrated by the people.

According to him, the survey showed that people are already realized that they’re supporting the wrong man.

“Nagbabago ang ibang mga tao. We just have to continue on. Let us not fear defeat,” he said.

“Ayaw natin mapabilang na in the view of history na hindi tayo nakipaglaban,” Sarabia added.

Meanwhile, Armed Forces of the Philippines chief-of-staff Gen. Carlito Galvez Jr. reminded his soldier “not to meddle or take part in partisan politics.”

“Violation of these instructions will be dealt with severely and personnel who will get involved will be immediately relieve from their post and investigated,” Galvez said.

He also denied the claims of Sen. Trillanes that there’s already a division between the AFP because of the proclamation of President Duterte.

“Let me belie claims by some quarters of divisiveness or rumblings in the AFP. I assure our people that, as in many times in the past, the AFP will be one and undivided as an organization,” Galvez said.

“While I am aware that the troops have individual views on many issues, those merely hallmark an intelligent and matured organization like the AFP. But we always put the interest of the organization and the nation above our own,” he added.

Father Robert Reyes and supporters lay hands and pray over Sen. Trillanes

Senator Antonio Trillanes not only received support from his colleagues in the Senate, but also from the members of the Catholic Church.

On Thursday, Father Robert Reyes, known as the ‘running priest’ went to the Senate building to express his support to Senator Trillanes and also to offered a prayer to the fiercest critic of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Aside from Reyes, Fr. Flavie Villanueva and Fr. Manuel Gatchalian also went to the Senate to celebrate a mass dedicated to Trillanes.

Photos circulating on the internet showed Father Robert Reyes, the two other priests, and other supporters lay hands and pray over Sen. Trillanes

In a chance interview, Reyes warned President Duterte for the possible consequences in his alleged attempt to silence Sen. Trillanes.

According to him, the only way to silence Trillanes is to kill him.

“The only way to stop brave people is to kill them. So the next thing is to kill Trillanes? All the brave people? No. You should stop what you’re doing Duterte. Stop before the Nation stops you.” Reyes said.

@LeilasINQ

Fr. Villanueva also told Trillanes not to be afraid to face the biggest challenge of his political career.

“Wag ka matakot, di ka nag iisa,” Villanueva told Trillanes.

Reyes is known for his showing his support to the known-critics of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Aside from Trillanes, Reyes also dedicated a prayer to Senator Leila De Lima before she got detained for illegal drug charges.

And even to Atty. Lourdes Sereno before she got removed as Chief Justice.

Meanwhile, some netizens criticized Reyes for choosing the people he supported.

“Ano to? Naghuhugas ng kasalanan? Tapos don pa sa Paring Makasalanan? Robert Reyes? Ang Pari ng mga LP! Ginawa nyo na ngang Hotel ang Senado tapos ngayon ginawa nyo namang Simbahan ang Senado! Kapal ng mga mukha nito! Dun nyo gawin yan sa Totoong Simbahan!” Netizen Kobe Maderazo said.

Some even mocked Father Reyes’ prayers, saying that every people that he prayed over experienced bad luck.

“Senyales na may makukulong na!” Netizen Mestiza De Chinita wrote.

Senator Trillanes is facing a possible arrest after President Duterte nullified the amnesty that he received in 2011 over the two coup that he joined.

Robin Padilla celebrates proclamation against Sen. Trillanes: “Labas na diyan pare, wag kang mag tago sa saya ng Senado!”

Actor Robin Padilla is one of the celebrities who celebrated the decision of President Rodrigo Duterte to declare the amnesty given to Senator Antonio Trillanes as “void.”

In his live video, it can be heard Padilla laughing over the news report that the authorities could soon arrest sen. Trillanes because of his participation in two coup d’etat in 2003 and 2007.

Padilla who even went to the front of the Senate building even teased Trillanes and urged the Senator not to use the Senate to hide from the authorities.

“Labas na diyan pare, wag kang mag tago sa saya ng Senado!” Padilla said in his live video.

He pointed out that ordinary people were quickly arrested by the authorities, while Trillanes was using his position to avoid getting detained.

Padilla said that Trillanes should not worry from facing arrest and urged him to follow the law.

“Ano ba naman yung mag submit kayo diyan sa authority..kung merong warrant ba talaga eh ano ba naman yung sumama ka muna pare..Trillanes hindi ka naman gagalawin ng mga sundalo at kabaro mo naman yon,” Padilla said.

He defended President Rodrigo Duterte from the accusation of Trillanes that the chief executive went to Israel because he’s afraid of signing the proclamation while in the Philippines.

According to Padilla, the President would not waste his time to go to the Senate to face Trillanes and his Israel trip is part of Duterte’s job.

Padilla insisted that Trillanes should not waste the taxpayers’ money by hiding in the Senate.

The actor said that if possible, he would personally arrest Sen. Trillanes inside the Senate premises.

In the past, Padilla challenged Trillanes into a fist fight, but the Senator didn’t respond on the actor’s request.

Heartbroken father who’s daughter killed by a drug addict writes a striking open letter to Colmenares and CBCP: “YOU ARE BLINDED ABOUT THE TRUTH!”

A Father who’s still hurt by the death of his daughter in the hands of an illegal drug user finally spoke out against the people who are opposing the war against criminality launched by the Duterte administration.

In his open letter addressed to former Bayan Muna party-list Representative Neri Colmenares, Catholic Priests, Human Rights Group and International Criminal Court, Nino Vilan Piñero, father of Jan Nicole R. Piñero expressed his anger over the advocacy of the said groups.

Mr. Piñero said that the death of his daughter completely destroyed his life, while the criminals until now are enjoying the protection being given by human rights groups to them.

He believes that the human rights advocate are only trying to look on how many criminals were being killed every day while turning a blind eye to the innocent victims who’re losing their lives in the hands of their culprits.

Piñero also shared that he’s receiving death threats, apparently from the criminal who killed his daughter.

You can read his whole post below:

I AM THE FATHER OF JAN NICOLE R. PIÑERO.

AND SO, DRUG ADDICTS ENJOYED THE PROTECTION OF CHURCH, HUMAN RIGHTS AND ICC BECAUSE THEY HAVE DEFENDERS LIKE YOU PROTECTING THEIR SO CALLED HUMAN RIGHTS.

WHAT ABOUT THE INNOCENT VICTIMS MURDERED BY PUSHERS AND DRUG ADDICTS, THEY TOO ARE HUMANS AND HAVE HUMAN RIGHTS?

BUT SAD TO NOTE THAT YOU ARE NOT DOING ANY INVESTIGATION OF HOW MANY INNOCENT SONS & DAUGHTERS WHO WERE BRUTALLY MURDERED BY DRUG PUSHERS AND DRUG ADDICTS.

LIKE ME, MANY OF US ARE QUIET AND SILENT. YOU ARE BLINDED ABOUT THE TRUTH.

YET, THEY STILL HAVE THE GUTS TO SEND DEATH THREATS, WELL LET’S GET IT ON.

MY LIFE IS IN DEEP SH*T!!!

In April 2017, Jan Nicole, 21 and her friend, Lorraine Ramirez, 17 were killed by a skateboarder who’s high in Marijuana.

Jan Nicole Piñero (left) and Lorraine Ramirez (right)

The suspect, Michael Malayo, 34 was quickly nabbed by the authorities and received double life prison term without parole.

Piñero was pregnant during that time, but her condition didn’t save her from the hands of the cruel criminal who even played hide and seek with the victims before he ended their life.

Michael Malayo

The case of Piñero and Ramirez sparked outrage from the netizens and it also made some netizens realized that Marijuana could also turn its user into a brutal criminal like Malayo.

It also turned Piñero family to become an anti-illegal drug advocate and opposing any groups that protecting criminals and drug addicts.

They also supported the war against illegal drugs launched by the Duterte administration.

However, several personalities like Colmenares are still fighting for the rights of the criminal and drug addicts who have a potential to kill innocent people.

Joma Sison praises Leni Robredo: Mas matalino kang di hamak kay Duterte!

Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) Chairman Jose Maria Sison praised Vice President Leni Robredo amid the series of criticisms received by the latter against President Rodrigo Duterte.

President Duterte called the Vice President “incompetent” several times saying that Robredo cannot solve the problem of the Philippines and claimed that Naga City, the hometown of the opposition leader was infested by illegal drugs.

However, the views of Sison to Robredo was far different than Duterte believing that the Vice President is incompetent and “far more intelligent” than the President.

In his twitter post, Sison praised Robredo who opposed the statement of Duterte that the Philippines is better to be led by a dictator.

“Leni Robredo is far more intelligent, honest and competent than a Duterte who has gone out of his mind by worshipping and emulating the fascist dictatorship and corruption of Marcos, Sison said.

However, some pro-Duterte supporters believed that the reason why Sison supported Robredo is because of the ‘weak’ personality of the Vice President.

According to the Facebook page Crabbler, a weak President could be advantageous to the CPP-NPA-NDF to take over the country.

“Joma likes Leni because he knows she’s weak. If she was President, the NPA will easily take over. Baka nga magpameryenda pa ‘yan sa kanila sa takot.” Sison said.

Sison led CPP-NPA-NDF and urged the Duterte government to release almost 400 political prisoners, some involved in committing heinous crimes.

However, the relationship between Sison and Duterte turned sour after the latter turned down the demands of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

The two also engaged in a series of word war.

Last week, Sison claimed that Duterte is in comatose, to debunk the accusations of the communist founder, the latter appeared in a Facebook live and told his former Professor that he is “dying”.
