Richard Gomez criticizes ‘Balik Probinsya program’: “What happened to all the protocols that we’ve been working on?”

Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez criticized several government agencies for allegedly disregarding protocols for the people who participated in the ‘Balik Probinsiya’ program.

In a Facebook post, Gomez couldn’t hide his frustration after he was informed that they should not apply health protocols against COVID-19 to the beneficiaries of the said program.

“DILG, NHA, OWWA, what happened to all the protocols that you guys are trying to formulate for returning residents?!!!” Gomez said.

“I just would like to share what is happening right now about this Balik Probinsya program. This morning the DILG regional office and OWWA texted, “texted”, us informing us that there are 3 planes arriving in Tacloban and telling us to receive them without following COVID protocols, undocumented and untested,” he added.

The actor-turned-politician said that they did their best to maintain Ormoc free from the virus for more than two months only to be told that they need to accept the beneficiaries of the Balik Probinsya program without any conditions.

“We have kept our city Covid-free for more than 70 days bec of strict border controls and implementation of health protocols. Then here comes a TEXT from the National government agencies telling us that there are repatriates coming in our city and telling us to accept them?!” he stated.

“What happened to all the protocols that we’ve been working on? What happened their protocols that they have been telling us to do if they themselves are not doing the right thing?!” he added.

According to him, “it only takes one infected person” to spread COVID-19 in the city and affect hundreds of innocent people.

The post of Gomez reached 6,100 shares on social media.

Aside from the Balik Probinsiya program, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) released a circular asking the LGU officials to accept 24,000 OFWs who were forced to quarantine in Metro Manila.

According to DILG, if the OFW was incomplete with documents, the LGUs should quarantine him/her and have him tested for COVID-19.

The memorandum was released after President Duterte ordered the government agencies to send home the 24,000 OFWs staying in Metro Manila.

Pastor Quiboloy to Vice Ganda after ABS-CBN shutdown: “Ngayon, naniniwala ka na? karma is real”

Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy lectured comedian Jose Marie Viceral better known as Vice Ganda after the latter’s home network, ABS-CBN was forced to shut down by the government.

It can be remembered that last year, Viceral challenged Quiboloy to end the Kapamilya network top program ‘Ang Probinsiyano’ after the Pastor claimed that he stopped a quake in Mindanao.

Viceral also asked Quiboloy to stop the traffic in EDSA.

As a response, Quiboloy said that Viceral should be careful of what he’s wishing, saying that it’s possible that not only ‘Ang Probinsiyano’ would end in the next few months, but also the whole ABS-CBN network.

On May 19, Quiboloy in one of his television shows in Sonshine Media International Network (SMNI) reminded Viceral about his challenge.

“Ngayon, napatunayan mo na meron akong Diyos na nagpadala sa akin.” he also said.

According to Quiboloy, Viceral’s challenge to him was a prophecy, pointing out that stopping the traffic in EDSA is almost impossible, but it happened a few months later due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Pastor hoped that Viceral already learned their lesson as the comedian expressed his sadness over the closure of his network.

“Ngayon, naniniwala ka na, karma is real. O, bumalik sa ‘yo, di ba, at ngayon, umiiyak ka. O, bakit hindi kayo humahalakhak?” he asked.

Quiboloy also has final reminder to Viceral before ending his speech.

“Ang kinatatakutan ko dito, Vice, isa lang—ang Diyos lang. Tuturuan kita, ganoon ang gawin mo. Kapag binigyan kayo ng pabor ng Diyos, pabor na maging tanyag, pabor na maging mayaman, huwag kayong mangutya ng kapwa niyo tao,” Quiboloy said.

“Ginawa rin ng Diyos ‘yan sa kanyang mukha. Gamitin niyo sa kabutihan… Ngayon, umiiyak ka, e, noon humahalakhak ka,” he also said.

Three weeks ago, Vice Ganda expressed disappointment over the closure of ABS-CBN after the National Telecommunications Commission filed a cease and desist order against the television network giant.

“Di lang ang network at ang mga empleyado ang kawawa kundi ang buong bansa at lahat ng Pilipinong napagkaitan ng kailangang kailangang serbisyo sa oras na ito ng pandemya. ANG LUPIT!” Viceral said.

Mag apply kasi kayo sa FDA! DOH and FDA to build case against ‘unregistered’ Fabunan antiviral injection

The Fabunan medical clinic in Zambales was ordered to stop administering its well-known vaccine to the people after the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a cease and desist order against them.

In a text message, the Department of Health (DOH) said that the FDA has the right to stop Fabunan antiviral injection because it’s still not registered to the agency.

“They still have not applied for CPR (Certificate of Product Registration). They were already issued a cease and desist order by FDA, case build-up is being done already,” Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said.

“FDA has jurisdiction when it comes to the unregistered drug/vaccine, and Professional Regulation Commission for the practice of medicine,” she added.

FDA made the said action against Fabunan after it was reported that some people are personally traveling to their clinic in Zambales to get vaccinated.

Several supporters and Facebook page claimed that Fabunan antiviral injection could protect anyone from getting infected by COVID-19.

They also posted some photos showing the owner of the said clinic, Dr. Willie Fabunan injecting vaccines despite the warnings from the FDA and DOH.

“MARAMI NANG NAGPATUROK SA FABUNAN DOCTORS AT LIGTAS NA SA VIRUS SA ZAMBALES,” One Facebook page created to support Fabunan vaccine wrote.

“Isipin niyo to! Kung ang FDA at DOH ay matutulungan ang mga doctors para labanan ang COVID malamang hindi lang taga Zambales ang magiging ligtas sa Pandemya,” they added.

According to FDA Advisory No. 2018-163, “the manufacture, importation, exportation, sale offering for sale, distribution, transfer, non-consumer use, promotion, advertising or sponsorship of any health product that is adulterated, unregistered or misbranded are prohibited,”

While supporters of Fabunan strongly believed that Fabunan’s injection could save the world from the COVID-19 pandemic, health officials warned people not to try any unregistered vaccines.

“Itong Fabunan ang sinasabi na bakuna ito, hindi gamot, na sinasaksak sa pasyente, so amin pong pinapaalalahanan na mag-apply na lang sa FDA para maintindihan na nga natin yung sinasabi,”  DOH said.

It was reported that Fabunan medical clinic was charging 3,000 pesos for the vaccine.

Councilor berates health workers for doing rapid testing inside the session hall of Pasay City: “Tignan mo kung gaano kaikli ang isip ng mga ito!”

A councilor of Pasay City has gone infamous on social media after a video of him while angrily criticizing health workers circulated on the internet.

Councilor Arnel “Moti” Arceo has been accused of shaming the health workers doing rapid testing inside Pasay City hall session hall.

Arceo who’s videoed himself quickly scolded the health workers asking them why they’re doing COVID-19 test inside the session hall.

“P******a kung hindi delikado tanggalin niyo, p********g yan. Araw-araw namin dinidisinfect yan eh, ang session hall namin ginawang rapid testing center… tignan mo kung gaano kailki pag iisip ng mga to,” Arceo said.

“Tapos ang sabi wag daw akong magalit… eh kung hindi delikado ito bakit may balot ng plastik ito, bakit kayo naka PPE? (Personal protective equipment) Kung hindi delikado bakit kayo naka PPE?!” the angry councilor asked the health workers.

According to him, COVID-19 testing should be done outside the city hall because it might endanger the lives of the Pasay City employees.

The councilor then approached the health workers and asked them again why they’re wearing PPE if they believe that what they’re doing inside the city hall is safe.

“Delikado ba o hindi? Bakit kayo naka PPE lahat? Bakit hindi niyo sa opisina ginawa ‘yan? Diyos ko naman,” he said.

“Session hall namin ‘yan eh, nag paalam ba kayo sa aming lahat e lahat kami gumagamit niyan, bakit hindi sa mga opisina ni’yo ginawa ‘yan kung nag iisip kayo?” he added.

While Arceo was shouting at them,  some of the health workers removed their PPE inside the session hall where the rapid testing was done.

The uploader of the video Alexia Guevarra said that the health workers only followed the order from Pasay City Human Resource Management.

“Nakakagalit lang na habang ang buong bansa nagsa-struggle pa sa public health at econ effects ng COVID-19, yung mga politician and people in position like Moti Arceo manage to get away with things like this. Yung #1 frontliners–healthworkers–ang minumura-mura niya when in fact, service yung ginagawa nila. Something that will benefit everyone. Kapag common people nagsabi ng isang bad thing or isang criticism re: gov’t response sa pandemic, huli agad and magdedemand pa ng public apology. Pero pag powerful ka, go lang. Speak your mind, ganun,” Guevarra wrote.

Guevarra also claimed that the said health workers attempted to file a complaint against Arceo but was pressured to back out.

In another interview, Arceo said that he didn’t curse any health workers during that time and he only said those words because of anger and fear.

“Sino ba naman ang hindi matatakot, ginawang testing center ‘yung aming session hall? Nilagay nila sa panganib ang buhay ng mga empleyado ng buong city hall, hindi lang ng city council, hindi lang ng session hall,” Arceo said.

“‘Yung pag iingat na hinihingi sa atin ng gobyerno natin, lahat tayo may kanya kanyang role, sabi nga ni Presidente, lahat tayo ay sundalo sa role na ito,” he added.

Arceo called the actions of the Pasay City health department as ‘careless’ and ‘reckless’

From 100-M to 200k! Francis Leo Marcos admits that he’s already losing money because of helping people

Three weeks before he was put under the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation, Norman Mangusin, better known as Francis Leo Marcos claimed that he already spent 99% of his money stored from his bank accounts because of helping people.

In one of his vlogs, Marcos narrated that before he started the ‘Mayaman Challenge’ he still had 100-M pesos in his bank account, but now he said that only 200,000 pesos remained.

According to him, he already talked with his partners to help him fund his philanthropic activities because he couldn’t say ‘no’ to the people asking for donations.

Marcos said that to solve his problem, he went to his friend to get the money he earned from selling his shares from his company.

“Ipagbibili ko ang aking share, nagkakahalaga lamang po siguro ng mga kaunti lamang po,” he said.

The self-proclaimed businessman also alleged that some groups tried to extort his money from him, but he ignored their demands and challenged them to bring the fight to the “court”.

In another vlog, Marcos said that he already sold a property worth P40-M to fuel up his philanthropic activities.

However, after an investigation, NBI discovered that Marcos doesn’t have any properties registered under his name, including the mansion and sports car he’s used in his vlogs.

“Vinerify namin, hindi naman sa kanya ‘yun, in fact hindi siya ‘yung umuupa doon, tapos ‘yung sinasabi niya na bahay niya, yung pinapakita niya sa social media, hindi sa kanya ‘yung sa Quezon City,” NBI Cybercrime chief Vic Lorenzo said.

“Yung mga sasakyan hindi sa kanya, pati yung office na ginagamit hindi rin sa kanya, hindi sa negosyo niya, hindi under his name,” he added.

NBI also received that Marcos allegedly lied several times to his followers about the amount of rice he’s sending to different places in the country.

“Talaga bang tumutulong siya? Kasi marami kaming reports na nareceive na supposedly ilang tons daw ang ibinibigay niya na bigas, hindi pala… ilang supot lang pala,” Lorenzo stated.

“Vinerify namin ‘yung activity niya doon sa Santa Rosa, nag distribute daw siya ng tons of tons of rice, ‘yun pala sa isang fraternity lang pala niya ibinigay ‘yung mga bigas na ‘yon,” he added.

Sen. Win Gatchalian slams Francis Leo Marcos: “Dapat ikulong na yan at huwag pakawalan!”

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian couldn’t say anything good about the self-proclaimed businessman and philanthropist Norman Mangusin, better known as Francis Leo Marcos.

On May 19, Gatchalian said that he was hoping that the National Bureau of Investigation would lock up Marcos, believing that the latter victimized many people in the past.

“Walang hiya talaga yan. Manloloko at sinungaling. Dapat ikulong na yan at huwag pakawalan. Maraming na loko yan,” Gatchalian tweeted.

He repeated his statement against Marcos while talking to one of his friends on Twitter.

“Walang hiya yan Boss Ron,” he told PDP Laban Executive Director Ron Munsayac.

Munsayac claimed that Marcos was being backed by money from the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

“Sobra dami na scam nyan, boss Win! Pogo money din backer nyan! Dami ko narinig kwento about his various scams, kesyo may gold reserves pa daw sa Switzerland atbp,” Munsayac said.

The self-proclaimed businessman was accused in the past of selling ‘fake gold bars’ and even former first lady Imelda Marcos confirmed it on the document she sent to NBI in 2019.

“I have received continued disturbing reports about the above-mentioned persons using my name and my family’s name to collect unauthorized campaign donations, selling of fake gold certificates and using photographs and films/video coverage to associate themselves with me and my family for unauthorized and unscrupulous business practices,” Imelda wrote on the document.

“Mr. Francis Leo Marcos has claimed that he is the son of Dr. Pacifico Marcos, the brother of my late husband and that he has been chosen by the Marcos family as the custodian of alleged wealth which we are not in possession of; he uses my photographs on social media after a photo opportunities and has produced a film positioning him as a signatory to the world’s wealth; he targets wealthy Chinese businessmen who want to do business in the Philippines and attracts them thru charitable causes,” she added.

NBI cybercrime chief Vic Lorenzo in an interview with journalist Erwin Tulfo confirmed that Imelda wrote to them.

Arnell Ignacio files charges against Mystica: “Hindi mo pwedeng mura murahin si presidente!”

Former Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy Administrator Arnell Ignacio has filed three charges against Ruby Villanueva better known as Mystica for her previous vlogs addressed against President Rodrigo Duterte.

Ignacio, who’s a known supporter of President Duterte went personally to the court to sue Mystica for cyber libel, violation of Bayanihan To Heal as One Act, and inciting to sedition.

According to Ignacio, Mystica became too personal with her statements against President Duterte.

Mystica captured the attention of the netizens, especially the supporters of Duterte after the former actress called for the resignation of President Duterte.

“We don’t need a President with no common sense and who never treats the Filipinos with equal rights in times of crisis!” Mystica said.

“It is time to support Vice President Leni Robredo in order to fight for our survival, hintayin pa ba nating tuluyan ng magutom? The time to act is right now!” she added.

Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles said that Mystica may be held liable for inciting to sedition because she allegedly urged the people to overthrow a democratically elected government official like President Duterte.

Here’s the possible seditious statement of Mystica according to the lawyer.

“Sumasang-ayon na talaga ako kung ano yung mga prinsipyo ni Vice President Leni (Robredo). Dati rati, never ako nagbanggit about Leni Robredo. But right now sumusuporta na ako sa kanila. All the way. Sumusuporta ako sa kanila,” Mystica said.

“Kaya kung sino ang sumusuporta kay Vice President Leni Robredo, let’s get out there and be in full foce, labanan natin itong gobyerno na ito, lalong lalo na ang ating Presidente,” she added.

Palit ulo nalang! Follower of FLM to NBI: Ako nalang ang ikulong niyo, wag na si Francis Leo Marcos

A man is willing to turn himself to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) just to save businessman Francis Leo Marcos from being detained for multiple charges.

The man who got interviewed by blogger Techram said that he couldn’t believe that the authorities filed charges against his idol, who’s known for broadcasting his philanthropic activities on social media.

“Yung taong tumutulong sa sambayanang Pilipino, kinulong pa, hindi ata makatwiran yun,” he said.

He urged Marcos to avoid paying attention to his critics, especially during the most challenging part of his life.

The man even said that he’s willing to switch place with Marcos so the businessman could continue his philanthropic activities.

“Kaya pumunta ako dito, tanong ko kung pwede ba kitang palitan diyan, para makapamigay ka pa sa sambayanang Pilipino at ng mapag patuloy mo ang inyong malinis na hangarin sa Pilipinas,” he said.

“Willing akong pumalit diyan, puntahan niyo ko dito sa Baryo namin, makikipagpalit ako diyan,” he added.

According to him, he really searched for Techram to send his appeal to the NBI who’s still holding the businessman.

“Wala kang katulad, nag iisa ka lang,” he told Marcos.

On May 19, Francis Leo Marcos was brought to the NBI office after law enforcers found multiple warrants against the self-proclaimed businessman.

NBI says that Francis Leo Marcos’ ‘Mayaman Challenge’ urges the poor to hate the upper class

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said that the ‘Mayaman Challenge,’ an online campaign led by Norman Mangusin, better known as Francis Leo Marcos, could be considered as an act of inciting to sedition.

In the latest radio interview of journalist Raffy Tulfo, NBI Cybercrime chief Vic Lorenzo said that they filed inciting to sedition charges against Marcos because of his viral online challenge, which aimed to encourage wealthy people to help the poor amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Lorenzo explained that some of the statements of Marcos in his blog encourage the poor people to hate and criticize wealthy people.

Marcos in some of his videos criticized the upper class including his neighbors in a posh subdivision in Quezon City.

He called the rich people who refused to join his ‘Mayaman Challenge’ as selfish for not helping the people.

“Para sa mga kapitbahay ko dito sa subdivision, para sa akin makasarili kayong lahat, kayong mga hindi tumutulong sa ating mamamayan,” Marcos said.

“They’re don’t after political power, they’re are after for economic gain, yun po yung totoo niyan, if they can sabotage the economy they will because they’re big player” he also stated.

Aside from inciting to sedition, Marcos is also facing charges for violating the anti-alias law for using the name Francis Leo Marcos instead of Norman Mangusin in signing documents.

It’s not yet known if the said charges were separate from the fake passport and falsification of documents.

Lorenzo also revealed that they discovered that Marcos was not telling his followers about the real amount of rice he’s giving.

“Talaga bang tumutulong siya? Kasi marami kaming reports na nareceive na supposedly ilang tons daw ang ibinibigay niya na bigas, hindi pala… ilang supot lang pala,” Lorenzo said.

“Vinerify namin ‘yung activity niya doon sa Santa Rosa, nag distribute daw siya ng tons of tons of rice, ‘yun pala sa isang fraternity lang pala niya ibinigay ‘yung mga bigas na ‘yon,” he added.

NBI said that Marcos was only giving 5-20 sacks of rice, too far from the figures that the businessman claimed.

NBI also urged the supporters of Marcos to become open-minded, saying that they’re only doing their job as law enforcers and not trying to single out the self-proclaimed businessman.

“Maging open minded lang ‘yung mga supporters niya o ‘yung mga naniniwala sa kanila na tignan din nila ‘yung mga other aspects, initiative ni Mr. Mangusin,” Lorenzo said.

Yesterday, NBI revealed that the properties shown by Marcos on his videos were not registered under his name, but owned by a certain businessman.

Marcos might also endure a long legal battle as NBI kept filing new charges against Marcos who’s now facing more than 9 cases.

NBI reveals that Francis Leo Marcos is using fake name and doesn’t own the sports car or mansion he’s showing on his videos

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) revealed surprising information about the self-proclaimed businessman Norman Mangusin, better known as Francis Leo Marcos.

In an interview with Erwin Tulfo, NBI Cybercrime Division Chief Vic Lorenzo said that they gave Marcos a chance to present any document that could prove his businesses; however, he failed to provide any of it.

“Kahit yung DTI man lang wala siyang mai-present sa amin sir,” Lorenzo said.

Lorenzo also revealed Marcos doesn’t own the properties showed by Marcos in his vlogs, including the mansion in Greenmeadows subdivision and also the luxury cars he was using.

“Vinerify namin, hindi naman sa kanya ‘yun, in fact hindi siya ‘yung umuupa doon, tapos ‘yung sinasabi niya na bahay niya, yung pinapakita niya sa social media, hindi sa kanya ‘yung sa Quezon City,” he said.

Francis Leo Marcos flaunting a sports car in one of his vlogs

“Yung mga sasakyan hindi sa kanya, pati yung office na ginagamit hindi rin sa kanya, hindi sa negosyo niya, hindi under his name,” he added.

The said properties were first shown by Marcos when he brought the ‘Mayaman Challenge’ inside Greenmeadows, a super-exclusive subdivision in Quezon City.

Critics of Marcos already claimed in the past that the internet personality was only borrowing the mansion and his cars from a known Filipino-Chinese businessman.

NBI gave a hint that Marcos’ legal battle could last for a long time.

Aside from violation of Optometry Law, Human Trafficking, and RA9262, the businessman could also face charges for using a fake passport, inciting to sedition, falsification of documents, and using bouncing checks.

Lorenzo said that they’re already coordinating with the Department of Foreign Affairs to look at how Mangusin got a passport using the name ‘Francis Leo Marcos.’

The NBI chief said that falsification of documents and violating the passport law could be filed as separate charges against Marcos.

“Pag nag apply ka for passport falsified documents, specific provision doon sa passport law na you are violating it,” Lorenzo said.

He also revealed that some individuals are already planning to file charges against Marcos for using a bouncing check and also estafa.

One of the complainants claimed that Marcos owed him/her 7,000,000 pesos.

Lorenzo said that if five or more individuals filed an estafa case against Marcos, the businessman would face another non-bailable charge.

NBI also found another case filed against a certain Lorenzo Mangusin between 2014 and 2015, whom they believe was also Marcos.

The camp of Marcos is not yet releasing a statement on the latest revelation of NBI about the businessman.

Marcos was put under the custody of NBI on May 19 after the law enforcers discovered a bunch of old warrants against him.
