Jim Paredes calls President Duterte: ‘buang’ and ‘bob*’ for saying that gasoline can be used as a disinfectant

Legendary OPM artist Jim Paredes was not afraid to call President Rodrigo Duterte ‘st*pid for saying that gasoline could be use by people as disinfectant.

In a series of tweets, Paredes expressed his disappointment to the recent statements of President Duterte, who insisted that gasoline may became an alternative to alcohol as disinfectant.

A group of chemists already debunked President Duterte’s claim about gasoline.

That’s disinfectant,” said Duterte.

Paredes made a short response to Duterte’s statement.

“Buang na talaga,” Paredes said.

Buang is the Cebuano word for ‘crazy’.

Paredes also called the supporters of Duterte as ‘blind followers’.

In another tweet, Paredes challenged President Duterte to demonstrate on television how to use gasoline as a disinfectant.

“MR. president, please demonstrate on TV your gasoline disinfectant suggestion. If you are too busy can you ask any of your cabinet, or followers to do it?” Paredes said.

When a netizen asked him to run for President, Paredes refused, saying that he’s not smart to manage the country.

“Hindi ako matalino. B*b* lang siya at mga bilib sa kanya,” the artist said.

A few days ago, Paredes caught the attention of social media after his private video had been recirculated.

The fans of Paredes even raised their eyebrows after the said video was aired on television by DZRH news.

“Wag kang makialam!” Lady refuses to wear face mask inside public utility jeepney

A lady has gone viral on social media after she was spotted not wearing a face mask inside a public utility vehicle in Cagayan De Oro.

Amid the pandemic happening in the country, netizen Daniza Salvadora was surprised that some people were still refusing the worn mask like the lady she encountered while traveling last Tuesday.

Salvadora narrated that some passengers tried to remind the lady to wear a face mask.

“I just want to share my alarming experience today. While naka sakay ako ng jeep going to ayala passing through Marcos bridge around 3:30pm. May sumakay na babae na wala suot na facemask!!” said Salvadora.

After being reminded, the lady suddenly fumed and criticized the passengers for questioning her decision not to wear a mask.

She even confronted one of the passengers, a senior citizen, and told her not to interfere with her decision.

“Wag kang makialam. Alangan umuwi pa ako o bumili ng facemask at makipag siksikan sa madaming tao?” the lady told the old passenger.

Salvadora expressed sadness over the treatment received by the elderly woman from the lady.

Because of her uncontrollable attitude, the driver and the passengers decided to force the lady to leave the jeepney.

Salvadora then reminded the netizens to be vigilant amid the pandemic.

“If any of you nakaencounter ng ganitong situation, please vigilant. Di ito laro laro lamang,” she said.

As of writing, the video of Salvadora received 4,000 shares.

The city government of Cagayan De Oro has yet to comment on the incident.

People surprised after Jim Paredes ‘shhhhh video’ aired on national television

A netizen who was casually watching television was surprised when Jim Paredes’ infamous private video appeared on the screen.

DZRH News aired the “Di niyo ba naririnig” parody video made by a Facebook page to remind everyone about the actions of Paredes in 2019.

The netizen recorded what he witnessed on television.

Fans of Paredes couldn’t hide their disappointment to DZRH for allowing to air Paredes video.

Some of them called the actions of DZRH as ‘unethical’.

Paredes who’s considered as one of the legends of OPM and known critic of the Duterte administration has yet to comment on the actions of DZRH.

In April 2019, Paredes faced one of the biggest challenges of his life when a supposed private video of him had been circulated on social media.

At first, Paredes denied the accusations against him, but later on, he admitted the sin he made.

“The video was real. It was private, and not meant for public consumption. I do not know how it became public. I can only surmise that in this ugly season of toxic politics, muckrakers determined to neutralize my influence by violating my privacy and digging up dirt on me are at work.”  Paredes said.

“I know many of you have judged me and condemned me, and those who held
me in high esteem are disappointed in me, to put it mildly. I apologize for my irresponsibility,” he also said.

Despite the apology he made, the video has been re-uploaded many times on social media and became a meme material.

John Regala says that he refuses medical treatment before: “Gusto ko na pong sumunod sa mama ko”

Veteran actor John Regala said that he almost gave up living and refused to receive medical treatment because he already wanted to see his late mother Ruby Regala in the afterlife.

In an interview with journalist Raffy Tulfo, he revealed that his doctor told him that he’s suffering from liver cirrhosis and he needed to be treated immediately.

However, he refused to undergo an operation.

Regala also said that his financial problems forced his wife to leave him.

The veteran actor also didn’t waste the opportunity to address his adopted children who left him also.

I don’t need material things from you. I can survive all the storm that will come. Basta yun mga tinuro ko sa inyo na magpakabuti kayo na anak, alam niyo mahal ko kayo,” the actor said.

After John Regala has gone viral after being discovered in a frail condition by a food delivery rider, celebrities and concerned citizens sent their help to the veteran actor who appeared in more than 50 movies and even won a best-supporting actor award.

Actor Chuckie Dreyfus gave an update to Regala, saying that the actor couldn’t eat properly for two weeks already because of his swollen liver and spleen.

An afternoon well spent with Mr. John Regala. I got a call from kuya Reb Belleza to ask me to see Mr. John Regala so yesterday I visited him at his place to check on his condition and extend our support. Since 2015, he has been under the care of Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) where he is a member and up to now, they have been looking after his well-being. I was met by his dear friends, actress Ate Nadia Montenegro Pla and Celebrity Journalist/ talent manager Aster A. Amoyo who were also there to reach out and provide him with the assistance that he might need. I was also told that Chuckie Dreyfus helped in gathering support for kuya John. It’s so incredible to see industry people come together to help one another in times like these. I am happy to share that Kuya John is ok. He requires medical assistance, and Doc Poch, our ever-reliable doctor from Volunteer Corps PH was there to give him a check-up and assess his medical condition. Arrangements were made to address his immediate needs, which includes regular visits by the doctor to provide him with IV fluids to keep him hydrated and nourished since his liver problem makes him lose his appetite. There was an outpour of support coming from fellow actors in the industry to make sure he is well taken care of. Being a witness to all these, I can’t help but say to myself, “there’s hope.” This experience has been truly humbling. I’m almost four years in as head of FDCP, and since day one, we never stopped working to serve the film industry and the country. But while the agency has done so much as it is, it’s still not enough. Despite the divisiveness, I hope we can find common ground so we can work together. The film industry is an ecosystem, and we need all the sectors working together to thrive.

Journalist to Regine Velasquez who asks what will happen to Filipinos without Vice Ganda, Coco Martin and Kathniel: “Wala sa inyo ang buhay namin!”

A member of the Malacañang Press Corps answered Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez question on what would happen to Filipino people without Vice Ganda, Coco Martin, Kathryn Bernardo, and Daniel Padilla.

In a lengthy Facebook post, DZRH journalist Henry Uri asked why Velasquez made such an absurd question, saying that people could live without the celebrities she mentioned.

Uri said.

According to Uri, he never heard anyone having a hard time living since the celebrities mentioned by Velasquez disappeared on television due to the closure of ABS-CBN.

“Masabi ang kahalay-halay sa iyu Ineng, sa ilang araw ng wala sila sa tibi, ay wala pa naman kaming nabalitang inusugan man laang o hinimatay o kaya’y maysakit na hindi tinanggap sa ospital dahil hindi na sila napapanood araw-araw?” he said.

The journalist then asked Velasquez if the celebrities she mentioned have joined the public when they’re complaining about the high cost of basic needs in the country.

Uri then reminded Velasquez that the celebrities couldn’t survive without the people watching them.

NASA AMIN ANG BUHAY NINYONG MGA ARTISTA AT WALA SA INYO ANG BUHAY NAMIN,” Uri remarked.

The post of Uri reached 356 reactions as of writing.

In February, Velasquez expressed her concern on how the Filipinos would live without the top Kapamilya celebrities.

A netizen lectured Kapamilya actress and Pinoy Big Brother: All In second placer Maris Racal after she complained about why the government prioritized the revival of capital punishment in the country.

In a tweet, Racal questioned why the government called for the revival of capital punishment in the middle of the crisis happening in the country.

Netizen Tio Moreno who saw Racal’s tweet couldn’t stop himself from lecturing the actress on how the Philippine government function.

He explained that the government of the Philippines has three branches, the Executive, the Legislative, and the Judiciary.

Moreno also pointed out that the government could multitask and handle the pandemic and revival of the capital punishment at the same time.

“The Executive is composed of the President & Vice President. The Constitution grants the President authority to appoint his Cabinet,”

“The Legislative branch is divided into the Senate and the House of Representatives. They are authorized to make laws, alter, and repeal them.”

“The Judiciary is made up of the Supreme Court and the lower courts. This branch will tell you about the controversies involving rights and this identifies whether or not there has been a grave abuse of discretion amounting to lack or excess of jurisdiction on the gov’t.”

“That being uttered, we can say that the government can MULTITASK.”

The netizen said that despite the pandemic happening in the country, the government should not stop functioning normally.

“Just because there is c0rona virus doesn’t mean they need to stop with their functions. If we will follow your idea, then you are saying that we should not jail violators, we should not sanction terr0rists, we shouldn’t allow lawbreakers to be held accountable on their mishaps because we need to focus on C0VID19,”

“If you don’t know what the government has done to combat C0VID19, please review this link from Day 1 and thank me later: http://www.covid19.gov.ph/covid-19-timeline/ A graduate from PBB house can’t do this and I am pretty much sure you’re not aware of that,”

According to Moreno, he wished that he was a classmate of Racal so he could teach her about the government.

“Maris, I was in the 4th grade when I learned how the government works. How I wish we were classmates back then so I can give you free tutorials.

Moreno’s post gained 100,000 shares as of writing.

This is not the first that Racal criticized the government and received a backlash.

Last April, the family of Maris said that they’re going to file charges against the critics of the actress.

“Feel free to take screenshots and send it to me. I might not reply because I’m flooded with messages but thank you. We’re taking legal actions on this. Apparently, spreading rumors can really put you in trouble. Good luck guys!” the sister of Maris said.

2016 ko pa sinabi yan! Michael V slams people using his quotes to campaign Mayor Inday Sara

Comedian Michael V slammed the people who used the quote he made for President Rodrigo Duterte to campaign the latter’s daughter Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte in the 2022 Presidential elections.

In an Instagram post, Michael V who’s also known as “Bitoy” called out a Facebook page who supported Mayor Duterte for using his quotes as “campaign material”.

Bitoy was referring to the caption of the painting he made for President Duterte in 2016.

The comedian clarified that he’s only encouraging the people to respect the election results during that time and his statement that been circulated on social media was not recent.

“Madalas kong nakikita sa circulation ‘tong quote ko na ‘to which I posted more than 4 YEARS AGO nu’ng nanalo si Digong as President, to encourage people to accept and respect the election results, consistent with the “Dapat Tama” campaign na ginawa ko with GMA Network. To set the records straight, it’s NOT A RECENT POST,” he said.

Bitoy said that he had no problem with people reposting it, however, he discouraged everyone to use his quotes to campaign anyone.

“Please pay attention to the LAST LINE NA ALL CAPS. I have no problem with people using it for the right reason pero HUWAG PO NATING GAMITING CAMPAIGN MATERIAL,” he stated.

Inday Sara Duterte is one of the possible candidates in the 2022 presidential election.

Regala told Tulfo that his partner already left him because of being broke.

In another interview, Regala thanked Clariza for helping him despite the fact that he damaged his motorcycle.

Tinatanaw kong utang na loob ‘yun,” he added.

Sunshine Dizon slams Duterte admin: “Wag na tayong magbulag bulagan!”

Sunshine Dizon broke her silence on the current situation of the country.

In a social media post, Dizon said that she realized that pretending to be blind was a greater sin than keeping their silence on the issues.

According to her, she wanted to live in the Philippines without fear of having to be a victim of powerful people who may misuse their authority and the law.

The actress then proceed to discuss the controversial anti-terror law.

Dizon clarified that while she’s in favor of a law that would prevent terrorism in the country, she’s also afraid that the current anti-terror law may misuse by powerful people.

The Kapuso actress then talked about the pandemic happening in the country and the closure of ABS-CBN.

She also encouraged people to fight for their rights.

The post of Dizon received praise from the supporters of the opposition.

Dizon is one of the many celebrities who criticized the government due to the closure of ABS-CBN and the implementation of the anti-terror law.

Aside from Dizon, Dingdong Dantes also criticized the controversial law.

Lawyer lectures Karen Davila after the journalist complains about Duterte’s SONA: “Wow, ambisyosa ka, teh!”

A lawyer lectured Karen Davila after the Kapamilya journalist tweeted about her complaints to President Rodrigo Duterte fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Yesterday, Davila complained about how President Rodrigo Duterte publicly criticized Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon and ABS-CBN during his SONA.

According to her, it’s not the right time for the President to threw criticisms.

“No senator or private company deserves to be mentioned at the opening of the President’s SONA. This is about the state of the country, where we are, where we are going, not about personal vendettas or feelings. People are hungry and jobless. People are looking for inspiration,” said Davila.

Atty. Nick Nañgit reacted to Davila’s tweet, asking why the latter was seems trying to lecture the President on what he should say during his SONA.

He also asked Davila if she’s really listening to the speeches of Duterte as the latter also discussed about the state of the country.

Nañgit then called Davila ambitious for trying to tell what President should say.

The post of Nañgit reached 1,700 reactions as of writing.

Yesterday, President Duterte mentioned Drilon and accused the senator of defending the Lopezes.

“In an interview, [Drilon] arrogantly mentioned that oligarchs need not be rich then he linked the Anti-dynasty system with oligarchy and the topic was my daughter and son,” the President said.

“This happened after the committee of franchises voted 70-11 to deny the grant of franchise to ABS-CBN…Obviously [Drilon] was defending the Lopezes that they were not oligarchs.” he added.

As a response, Drilon said that he’s not defending the owners of the Kapamilya network.

“I was defending freedom of the press, not the Lopezes. The closure of the ABS-CBN sent a chilling effect,” said Drilon.

“As I said before, for democracy to thrive we need free press and to allow journalists to exercise complete freedom to do their mandate of reporting facts without fear,” he added.
