Roque to VP Robredo: “Nothing will be enough for someone na hindi nakikita ng kahit anong mabuti sa pamahalaan”

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque slammed Vice President Leni Robredo for saying that the testing capacity in the Philippines is not enough to fight the pandemic.

Robredo, in an interview, said that the current 30,000 testing capacity per day of the government should be increase if the government’s goal is to “have less than 5 percent positivity rate”.

The Vice President made the said statement on the show of Howie Severino aired on May 15.

As a response, Roque said that the Vice President’s statement was not surprising at all.

“Of course, nothing will ever be enough for someone na hindi nakikita ng kahit anong mabuti sa pamahalaan,” Roque said.

According to him, the government already planned to build more facility to increase the testing capacity of the country.

In the same interview Robredo defended herself, saying that it’s her right to criticize the government.

May karapatan akong mag-criticize if I need to criticize, kasi ‘yun ‘yung demands ng pagiging Filipino ko. And demands sa akin as a Filipino ay maging bahagi, maging bahagi ako sa nation building,” Robredo said.

LIST: Name of officials that would face charges over PhilHealth corruption

President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, September 14 approved the recommendation of the task force created to investigate the alleged questionable activities in the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

Duterte read the recommendation during the recent IATF meeting.

Here are the names of officials that would face charges:

  1. Philhealth President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ricardo C. Morales; violation of Sections 3(e), (g) of RA No. 3019; Malversation of Public Funds or Property of Illegal Use of Public Funds or Property under the Revised Penal Code; and violation of Sections 251, 255 and 272 of the National Revenue Code;
  2. Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Arnel De Jesus for violation of Section 3930 of RA No. 3019;
  3. Senior Vice President Jovita V. Aragona, Chief
Information Officer and Head of the Information
Management Sector, for: violation of Sections 3(a),
(e), (g) of RA No. 3019; Frauds against the public
treasury and similar offenses under the Revised
    Penal Code;
  4. Senior Vice President Renato Limsiaco, Jr. for:
violation of Section 3(e) of RA No. 3019; and
Malversation of Public Funds or Property under the
    Revised Penal Code;
  5. Senior Vice President Israel Francis A. Pargas
of the Health Financial Policy Sector for: violation of
    Section 3(e) of RA No. 3019;
  6. Officer in Charge Calixto Gabuya, Jr. for:
violation of Sections 3(e), (g) of RA No. 3019; and
Frauds against the public treasury and similar
offenses under the Revised Penal Code; and
  7. Division Chief Bobby A. Crisostomo for
violation of Section 3(a) of RA No. 3019.
The Task Force also recommended that
    administrative charges for, among others,
dishonesty, gross neglect of duty, grave
misconduct, and conduct prejudicial to the best
interest of the service, be filed against these
    individuals.

Duterte said that the said officials have a chance to prove that they’re innocent before the court.

“I am sorry for them but they would have to undergo trial. Although, they can always prove their guilt beyond reasonable doubt. Wala pa namang ano pa eh. The presumption of innocence still attaches but the report of another agency says otherwise. So ganun ho ang nangyari sa PhilHealth halos lahat sa board,” Duterte said.

Meanwhile, Senate President Vicente Sotto III expressed disappointment after the said task force didn’t recommend to file charges against Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III and and Philhealth SVP for the legal sector Rodolfo del Rosario Jr.

The probe against PhilHealth official started after the agency’s former anti-fraud officer Thorsson Montes Keith revealed the alleged fraudalent activities.

It’s in the law po,” ani Laurio.

“Instead na laitin mo ako, dapat nga nagpasalamat ka kasi , when I called you out it led you to decide to do the right thing,”

President Rodrigo Duterte urged the Filipinos not to believe what the opposition or the ‘dilawans’ are saying against the government.

During his most recent talk to the nation, Duterte responded to the criticisms that they’re receiving from the opposition amid the pandemic.

As long as the virus lives in this planet we are in real danger”

According to him, believing every word coming from the opposition might only gave them hopelessness.

“We did not join government to lie. Bakit kami magsinungaling? Hindi namin trabaho ‘yan,” he said.

Several critics of President Duterte criticized the latter for the response of the government and its priorities amid the crisis happening in the country.

One of the issues being thrown against the government is the white sand project being done in Manila Bay.

“Now, seizures can be common for kids with autism but David has never really had them. He has only had one scary episode when he was 7 yrs old,” ani Davila.

“Thank God for my husband & the first responders of our condo lobby. They were fast thinkers, equipped to assist & knew what to do to make sure he would stay alive. And all I did was shout the name of our Lord Jesus Christ non-stop, asking HIM to heal & save David.” dagdag pa niya.

AMAZING GRACE ? Yesterday afternoon, my husband DJ & I arrived from an overnight trip to Sorsogon. Our son David welcomed us at our condo lobby… when out of the blue, he just started having a full blown seizure! Now, seizures can be common for kids with autism but David has never really had them. He has only had one scary episode when he was 7 yrs old. Thank God for my husband & the first responders of our condo lobby. They were fast thinkers, equipped to assist & knew what to do to make sure he would stay alive. And all I did was shout the name of our Lord Jesus Christ non-stop, asking HIM to heal & save David. And this is why I am sharing this. I thank our Lord Jesus Christ for saving David yesterday. David slowly woke up and we rushed him to the ER. I thank God his memory and faculties are perfect. I thank Dr. Francis Dimalanta @fxdmd , his pedia with autism expertise. Doc Francis recently survived & he shared that all he could do during his darkest times was call on Jesus too. David is OK now and undergoing a 24 hour video EEG which helps monitor brain movement. Our goal is to prevent this from happening again. What real FAITH & LIFE LESSON did God teach me today? There is POWER in the name of Jesus Christ! ? It doesn’t matter who you are, what church you go to, whether you think you’re a good or bad person – calling on the name of Jesus changes everything! ? To God be the glory ? Hug your kids today! Tell your family & friends how special they are! Appreciate LIFE ❤️ #sept142020

Malacañang confirms that President Rodrigo Duterte gives financial aid to Laude family three times

Malacañang denied the claims of the camp of Filipina transwoman Jennifer Laude that President Rodrigo Duterte promised to prevent US Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton from gaining his freedom.

In a press briefing on Monday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that Duterte didn’t break any promise to the Laude family.

According to him, Duterte only vowed to give justice to Laude and the President fulfilled it.

Roque also confirmed that President Duterte gave financial aid to Julita Laude, the mother the Jennifer.

“I can confirm only because Mrs. Laude already said na nakatanggap sila ng financial aid pero ang pagkabilin bilin po ni Presidente ‘ay hindi ko pinangangalandakan kung sino ang tinutulungan ko’,” he said.

“But since nangaling na po yan kay Mrs. Laude, I can confirm, the President gave them financial assistance three times, pero ‘yung halaga ay bahala na po sila… wag na po nating isapubliko dahil ayaw sanang ilabas ni Presidente ‘yung tulong niya sa Laude family pero ang tulong niya ay tulong naman po sa lahat ng nangangailangan,” he added.

He also assured that the LGBTQIA+ community in the country is still safe despite the decision of the President to grant pardon to Pemberton.

The Spokesperson pointed out that the government deported Pemberton and he’s not allowed to come back to the country anymore.

Roque is the former legal counsel of the Laude family.

A few days ago, Mrs. Laude expressed disappointment to President Duterte, saying that they’re only asking for more time to Pemberton to face his consequences.

Aside from the financial help they received from the President, the camp of Pemberton also paid P4.5-M to the family of Laude.

“There was no money given and there was no communication. We keep getting involved in these issues and I just want to clear things up. She is not that type of girl and we are in good terms so no need for all the bashing,” saad ni Jimuel.

screenshot from Jimuel Pacquiao’s Instagram story.

“I mean, I don’t get money from him. OK, I have work.

Army official reveals alleged connection of Makabayan Bloc to CPP-NPA: “How difficult is that if you say you are not communists? “

An army official claimed that members of the Makabayan bloc were connected to the Communist Party of the Philippines and New People’s Army.

Lieutenant General Antonio Parlade of National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) questioned why they couldn’t criticize the CPP-NPA.

According to Parlade, they’re already challenging the members of Makabayan Bloc into a debate even before the creation of the NTF-ELCAC, however, until now they’re still not accepting it.

The army official said that if they could accept the debate, they may clear their names against the accusations against them.

Parlade then listed the accusations against the members of Makabayan bloc.

“(ACT party-list) Rep (France) Castro, you were tagged as a member of the National Teachers Bureau under the National United Front Commission of the CPP.”

“(Bayan Muna party-list) Rep (Carlos) Zarate, you were also tagged by your former colleague as also a member of the NUFC CPP. He claims this is why you have the authority to meet with top CPP NPAs in Mindanao and anywhere to discuss your directives with them.”

“(Bayan Muna party-list) Rep (Ferdinand) Gaite, former cadres have pointed you as a member of the National Govt Employees Bureau under the CPP.”

“(Kabataan party-list) Rep (Sarah) Elago, former cadres (some are still with the CPP) have told us you are with the Kabataang Makabayan, the underground mass org of the Kabataan.

“(Bayan Muna party-list) Rep (Eufemia) Cullamat needs to speak out because this budget of the NTF ELCAC might just end the conflict in Agusan and Surigao, which she and her siblings in the NPA have been waging for sometime now.”

“Rep. Cullamat is the elder sister of Bae Gloria Campos Tumalon who was apprehended last March 19, 2020 in Diatagon, SDS. Her other siblings are Pablito Sinzo Campos, the NPA leader arrested last 2018 in Sibagat, Agusan del Sur, and Emelda Campos Belandres, another NPA leader who is wanted for various crimes.”

“And, (Former Bayan-Muna party-list Rep) Teddy Casiño, another member of the CPP NPA NDF you’re saying that you “might not be a part of the armed struggle?”

Parlade also insisted that the government didn’t red-tagged the members of Makabayan bloc.

He then urged the said group to stop holding the budget of the Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO).

It can be remembered that the PCOO Usec. Lorraine Badoy challenged the Makabayan Bloc to condemn the Communist Party of the Philippines if they really wanted her to resign amid the deliberations of the budget of PCOO.

“A complete waste of public funds on a worthless project,” ani Atienza.

“No amount of pretentious face-lifting can change the fact that Manila Bay’s marine and coastal ecosystems are practically dead – because its waters have been overwhelmed by fecal coliform,” saad ni Atienza.

“Anybody who swims in the bay’s heavily contaminated waters risks exposure to waterborne pathogenic diseases, including viral and bacterial gastroenteritis, hepatitis A, dysentery, typhoid fever and all sorts of infections,” dagdag pa niya.

“That already covers the price of dolomite sand, transportation cost, taxes, and other fees. That’s the package of the cost including delivery from Cebu to Manila Bay. It’s not 389 million but 28 million,” ayon kay Interior Secretary Eduardo Año.

“It’s just that your attention or some other individuals’ attention was called when it is white sand. But what if is black sand?” saad ni Moreno.
