Taste Atlas receives criticisms from Filipinos after labeling ‘Pinoy Spaghetti’ as one of worst dish in the world

Filipino netizens couldn’t hide their disappointment after Taste Atlas placed three dishes in the Philippines in their list of ‘worst dishes in the world.’

On February 4, 2023, the online magazine released the controversial list that includes Filipino Spaghetti, Kinalas, and even the popular breakfast Hotsilog.

More Filipinos got affected by the inclusion of Filipino spaghetti because it’s one of the most popular dishes in the country.

There’s a big difference between Filipino spaghetti and traditional spaghetti.

Filipino spaghetti has a sweeter sauce compared to the traditional one.

It became part of many celebrations, especially birthday parties.

However, Filipinos questioned the methodology used by Taste Atlas to rank the said dishes and put them on the list of worst words.

Some even accused Taste Atlas of ‘Pinoy Baiting’ to gain the attention of the Filipinos and talk about their online magazine.

“I beg to disagree with those people who made the decision regarding Filipino dishes these people didn’t even consider how broad the culture we have had….I am a cook and having been exposed to international, European, Indian and Greek cuisine…, I can say that the taste not all but much of there food was much worst than our very own spaghetti!!!!” netizen Darwin Manalo said.

“Sus for sure nilagay nila yan kasi Filipino favorites yan. Gusto nila maging sikat sila kasi alam nila pag uusapan silang Pinoy so taas ung view etc nila. Tactic.” netizen Lexter Suarez commented.

“There is no such thing as worst food. Any food for that matter always has something to do with the taste or preference of the people who used to eat them for years. Nobody can judge the palate of anybody especially if the food was in existence for generations.” netizen Danilo Bagon Solis remarked.

Taste Atlas is founded by Croatian journalist and entrepreneur Matija Babic who loves discovering new food.

‘Grabe ang abuso!’ Fast food customer criticizes for filling a water bottle with gravy

Netizens couldn’t hide their disappointment in a fast food restaurant customer who allegedly refilled his water bottle with gravy to take it home.

The photo taken in a branch of fast food restaurant KFC received negative reactions from the netizens, saying that the said customer was greedy and not thinking about the other customers.

KFC is known for its tasty and flowing gravy, but some people were taking advantage of it.

Some customers of the said fast food restaurant said that some branches already removed their refilling station or leaving it empty because of some people who were taking all the gravy.

If someone wanted to refill their gravy, they’re now required to ask the counter.

Some of the restaurants and food chains are being generous to us and tyring hard to give us what we paid for… Wag natin abusuhin..” another netizen said.

“Yan dahilan baket may bayad n extra gravy s Jollibee dami di ma kontento,” netizen Ryan Lozada remarked.

Comedian Awra Briguela likes a post about Toni Gonzaga’s failing career and being a traitor

It’s not known if there’s an issue between Awra and Toni or if the two even met personally.

Gonzaga was labeled as the most powerful celebrity by her husband Presidential Adviser for Creative Communications Paul Soriano.

“I ended up lending her more. I ended up borrowing from friends also. I pawned off my car,” ani Ian Tan, isa sa mag biktima.

“Auma is the combination of two people’s names who meant a lot to me. I guess you can say that Auma came from love and it’s my passion and love for style and fashion that will always sustain it.” aniya.

My Ex and Whys” nila Enrique Gil at Liza Soberano.

OFW disappointed by ungrateful friends and relatives: “Walang obligasyon ang isang balikbayan na bigyan kayo”

An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) publicly decried his ungrateful relatives and friends who were unsatisfied with the ‘pasalubong’ he was bringing back to the country.

In his Facebook post, Raymond Lopez an OFW based in Riyadh shared his thoughts on people complaining to him every time he returned to his homeland.

It can be recalled that it’s already part of the culture in the country that when an OFW comes home, people would already be expected that they’re going to receive a souvenir or ‘pasalubong’ from the said ‘balikbayan’.

However, according to Lopez he always receives complaints about his ‘pasalubong’ every time he comes home so he had no choice but to call out those people.

According to him, OFWs had no obligation to give gifts to their relatives and friends when they decided to go home.

He believed the ‘pasalubong’ culture discouraged some OFWs to go home who only wanted to be with their family after years of working away from them.

Lopez said.

He also challenged the people he was referring to try working abroad.

Matuto po sana kayong magpasalamat o makuntento, dahil kahit papaano’y naabutan at naalala kayo nung tao.” he stated.

After becoming trending, Raymond thanked the netizens for appreciating his post about the hardship of OFWs.

AllTV has gone viral on social media after it was reported that several shows including the talk show of Toni Gonzaga were set to temporarily end due to unknown reasons.

Amid the issue being faced by the television network owned by the Villar family, a netizen launched a movement in an attempt to boycott not only AllTV but all the affiliated brands to AllValue.

Netizen @gregvangelista urged the people on Twitter to boycott Coffee Project, AllDay, AllHome, and Vista Mall.

“Since AllTV is trending because they can’t get any sponsors, let’s boycott every AllValue affiliated brands like Coffee Project, AllDay, AllHome, Vista Mall,” the netizen said.

It seems that the ‘Kakampink’ has yet to end its boycott movements against the businesses owned by people that don’t align with their beliefs.

It can be recalled that the said group already attempted to boycott several brands including Delimondo, Eng Bee Tin, Ka Tunying’s and Shopee.

Willie Revillame expresses dismay over people celebrating the end of some AllTV shows: “

Television host Willie Revillame couldn’t hide his disappointment over the reaction of some netizens celebrating the fate of some shows on Villar-owned television network AllTV.

In an episode of Wowowin, Revillame addressed his viewers and the critics of AllTV, asking them why they’re celebrating when many workers might get affected by the end of some of their shows.

Sana hindi ganon diba,” said Revillame. “Wag naman po sanang ganon, syempre you have to understand na nagsisimula palang po ang AllTV.”

Revillame also explained that it’s normal for their television network not to gain advertisement as they’re still not fully launched.

Instead of criticizing and boycotting, Revillame said that it’s better for the netizens to pray for the success of AllTV so they could help more people.

He also urged the netizens to set aside ‘politics’.

ABS-CBN and AllTV became trending on social media after Revillame’s statement.

“Kung alam niyo lang ang totoo. Ayoko nalang pong magsalita na pangunguhan ko sila,” Revillame referring to the issue of frequency took by AllTV to ABS-CBN.

It can be recalled that the Villar-owned network took the frequencies owned by ABS-CBN after the last-mentioned lost its franchise.

However, it seems that some netizens were didn’t swayed by Revillame’s plead.

“Because of politics, ABS-CBN lost its franchise. And a lot of people lost their jobs. You can’t tell people to set aside politics. If you want to help people, there are other ways to do it.” netizen @ricci_richy said.

Tapos ngayon ngawa-ngawa kayo?” netizen @GMAnicurist commented.

It can be recalled that several AllTV programs were already set to temporarily end.

It includes Wowowin, Toni Gonzaga’s talkshow, and another show hosted by Karla Estrada, Mariel Rodriguez Padilla, and Ciara Sotto.
