Raquel Pempengco, ibinahagi ang video na nagkukumpara kay Charice at Morisette: “Baka sabihin ako lang bitter”

Raquel Pempengco, the mother of international singer Charice Pempengco shared a video comparing her daughter’s performance to Asia’s Phoenix Morisette Amon.

In the said video, it can be seen that Morisette was singing ‘I have nothing’, a song originally performed by Whitney Houston.

The video then transitioned to the performance of Charice to the same song.

Some of the netizens commented that Charice’s version is better than Morisette’s.

Raquel then pointed out that her critics should look at the opinion of the public before calling her ‘bitter’.

“Hinde ako gumawa nito ha…share ko lang. ..See all the comments there…baka sabihin ako lang ang bitter at di mka move on…were just talking and comparing the past and the present there,” Mrs. Pempengco said.

“Their opinions and comments are based on what they hear and watch…Anyway…Thanks to all my BASHERS at trending ako ngayon…” she added.

It can be recalled that Morisette performed during the concert of Canadian producer David Foster in the Philippines.

David worked with Charice for a long time before her transition as a transman.

However, Raquel said that David cannot replace Charice, calling her daughter ‘legendary’.

She even accused the producer of rejecting Charice and insisted that the one who made the Filipina singer famous was Oprah Winfrey.
