Lolit Solis on Pokwang’s statement against Lee O’Brian: ‘Napakacheap ng dating, bitter na bitter’

Veteran columnist Lolit Solis couldn’t stop herself from giving a reaction to the unstoppable criticisms being made by Pokwang against her former husband, Lee O’ Brian.

It can be recalled that Pokwang accused the American actor of being lazy and irresponsible, claiming that Lee didn’t even make ways to support his family financially.

In her social media column, Solis said Pokwang was already becoming ‘cheap.’

Solis also believed that Pokwang’s post made the comedienne appear like she was trying to take back her former husband to his current partner.

Solis said.

The veteran columnist also noticed the silence by Lee, saying that the American actor had already moved on.

She then urged Pokwang to stop speaking about her former husband.

As of writing Pokwang has yet to respond to the column of Solis.

Motivational speaker Rendon Labador captured the attention of two casts of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo. This was after the influencer called out the show’s leading actor Coco Martin after complaints from vendors affected by their production.

In his statement, Rendon said that Coco Martin and his production team should leave Quiapo so the vendors could do their business normally again.

“Hindi pa ba tumitigil? Tigas ng muka mo COCO MARTIN, kailangan pa bang sabihan kita ng dalawang beses?” Labador said.

Because of his repeated criticisms against Coco, well-known rappers Smugglaz and Bassilyo already responded to Rendon, urging the motivational speaker to stop.

Smugglaz and Bassilyo were also part of the FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.

Rendon then responded to the rapper, saying that he was only defending the welfare of the vendors.

Meanwhile, Bassilyo made a funny approach to Labador’s statement.

As of writing, Coco has yet to make a statement about the vendor’s complaints.

Maegan Aguilar admits being jealous to the partner of her father Freddie Aguilar: “Kahit anong hilingin niya binibigay”

The feud between OPM legend Freddie Aguilar and Maegan Aguilar was well-known to the netizens for almost a decade.

It can be recalled that Maegan’s relationship with Freddie can be compared to the most popular song of the latter, ‘Anak,’ a song of remorse and apology of a child to his parents.

The issue between the two was publicized in 2014 when Maegan announced that she was already severing her ties with Freddie.

It only started because of a simple argument about a vegetable in their refrigerator.’

Maegan said that Freddie asked her about the P1,500 she borrowed from him.

“He also flared up because I hadn’t paid the P1,500 I borrowed from him. I used the money to buy diapers and milk for Mahi.” she said.

“I get only P4,000 as salary in Ka Freddie’s Tomas Morato. Then he gets mad that we are always cash-strapped. It’s his fault. I am underpaid,” she added.

The argument ended with Freddie throwing Maegan and her family out of his house.

In a statement, Freddie responded to his daughter, saying he was saddened that Maegan brought their issue to the public.

Several months after the issue, Maegan talked about her current partner, Freddie, Jovie Aguilar, whom she called ‘mangkukulam’.

According to her, the treatment of her father towards her changed after Jovie arrived.

“My father was never like that in his whole life. And I have known him for 35 years. He had never been this way,” Maegan stated.

In 2015, Maegan admitted that she was jealous of Jovie, because Freddie was spoiling the latter.

“Malamang, kahit anong hilingin non binibigay ni Tatay eh,” Maegan said in an interview with Boy Abunda.

Maegan claimed that Freddie was also sending thousands of pesos every week to the family of Jovie.

Several months after releasing a statement against Jovie, it was reported that Freddie reconciled with Maegan, but their peace was only short-lived.

Years after their issue, Maegan, now facing multiple health problems, asked for her father’s help.

I am, what I am.” she said.

Tinatanggap po nila ang isa’t isa for what they are, kahit may mga flaws, kahit hindi perfect. Ako po ‘yun. ‘Tay, I am imperfect. I am flawed. I don’t know how to fix, ‘Tay, pero sa totoo lang kasi kailangan ko kayo ngayon…” she added.

However, Freddie said that Maegan should change first.

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho plans legal action against people who criticizes their staff who wrote about the story of ‘Bea’

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) released a statement after receiving tremendous criticism from the netizens.

It can be recalled that KMJS went viral on social media after some netizens claimed that the story they featured about a K-Pop fan who took P2-M from her family to buy merchandise was not real.

According to some netizens, there’s a possibility that Bea made up a story so they could promote their online business that is also related to K-Pop merch.

Some netizens also accused the family of Bea of being connected to the KMJS team.

Others also criticized KMJS and blamed them for alleged cases of the merchandise being targeted by bad elements because of its expensive price.

In a statement, KMJS addressed the netizens, blaming them for giving a bad impression of K-Pop merchandise, saying that they only meant to educate the people and to give a warning to everyone.

They also said that they were planning legal action against people who criticizing their staff who wrote the story about Bea.

The statement from KMJS received more criticism from the netizens for not admitting their mistakes.

“At least post a statement na not all PCs are worth 50K. make a segment about collecting kpop merch and photocards to redeem yourself kahit yun nalang. We want our community to be safe again and free of the judgement na “nakaw yan.” We want accountability!” netizen Nikkie said.

“Bat parang kasalanan pa namin? the episode and “story” put so much lives at risk! most kpop stans pa naman are GIRLS. we already don’t feel safe daily, what more now? ang lala ha,” netizen Hanie commented.

“I’m beyond disappointed that this statement comes from a show that is hosted by an award-winning journalist and i hope good researchers like, of all people, you should know that the system right here, specifically the police, would not take this case or matter seriously.” netizen Leo stated.

Ogie Diaz opposes the ‘ayuda’ to the public: “Sana trabaho ang i-produce”

The Department of Finance (DOF) announced on March 7 that they were planning to distribute P1,000 worth of cash aid to 9.3-M households to lessen the effects of inflation in the country.

According to the Targeted Cash Transfer (TCT) program, a P500 will be distributed to households within the next two months.

However, the program of the said government was not popular among netizens, including talent manager Ogie Diaz.

In his tweet, Ogie said it’s better for the government to produce jobs instead of giving cash aid to the people.

He even doubted if the said program would become corruption-free.

Fans of Ogie agreed with what the talent manager said.

“Same sentiments po nay @ogiediaz.

Marami Ang matutuwa kasi easy money eh..

“Libreng sakay na may libreng foods pa pagdating,” komento ni netizen RJ .

Mayaman pala! K-Pop fan and her family who got featured in KMJS, receives criticisms after discovery from netizens

A story about a fan who allegedly stole money to fund her K-Pop merch collection went viral on social media.

On March 5, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) featured the story of ‘Bea,’ who snitched almost P2-M to her grandmother, capturing the attention of the K-Pop fandom.

Bea’s grandmother ‘Agnes’ expressed dismay over her grandchild’s action, claiming they’re already struggling.

“Gipit na gipit ako tapos ganun-ganun ang ginawa niya!” she said. Agnes said.

“‘Di naman ako nag kulang sa kanya. Di tayo mayaman,” she added.

Because of the said episode, Bea and her family formed an online shop KPop Jagiya PH to sell all her K-Pop merch to recover all the money she took.

“This page will focus on selling the collection. Getting our family’s money back and making sure that Bea is okay are our top priorities,” the statement from the family reads.

Netizens uncovered the ‘truth’ about Bea’s story.

On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, Bea and her story went viral on social media again after some fans claimed that they discovered that the family of the said K-Pop fan was not really having financial problems.

Some netizens posted photos from Bea’s family to prove they’re not having business problems.

They also uncovered that Bea was really planning to be a businesswoman in the future, reportedly to sell K-Pop Merch.

In another post, they also uncovered that the grandmother of Bea was also a K-Pop fan.

Some netizens believed that Bea’s family allegedly made up some story to promote their business.

In a photo posted by @berrywonwon it can be seen that the grandmother of Bea was connected to Klea Pineda who’s an artist of GMA.

“If they really made up the whole story and got it featured on GMA ‘di na nakakapagtaka it seems like they have connections sa GMA,” the netizen said.

As of writing, Bea’s camp have yet to post any statement about the issue.

Mayor Gerandy Danao and councilor Joel Bito-Onon clashed about the long flag ceremony in their municipality in Palawan

A councilor in Narra Palawan expressed concern about the lengthy flag ceremony being held every Monday in front of their municipal hall.

In his privileged speech, Joel Bito-Onon criticized other officials of Narra for giving too much time to their flag ceremony.

Bito-Onon, in an interview, said that their flag ceremony lasted until 9 AM and believed it already affected the quality of service their constituents receive.

Meanwhile, Narra Mayor Gerandy Danao responded to the complaint of Bito-Onon, saying that they were mandated to do a flag ceremony every Monday.

According to Section 18 of Republic Act (RA) No. 8491, otherwise known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines, all government offices and educational institutions must participate in the Observance/Conduct of Flag Raising Ceremonies every Monday morning and Flag Lowering Ceremonies every Friday afternoon.
