MJ lastimosa reveals that she receives an offer from TAPE Inc. but decides to go with TVJ: “

Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa revealed that she received a guesting offer from Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) to appear on Eat Bulaga, but she decided to refuse it.

In an interview with Abante, MJ admitted that while the offer from TAPE Inc. was hard to resist, her loyalty to her former colleagues prevailed.

She also decided not to get involved in the issue surrounding former Eat Bulaga hosts and TAPE.

“May mga offer. Nahirapan talaga kaming mag-make ng decision, kasi work is work. No matter what happen, meron tayong mga bills na dapat bayaran araw-araw,” MJ said.

“Lalo na if you’re a breadwinner, maraming nakasandal sa ‘yo. Napakahirap to say no to something na alam mong stable income. But at the same time, iba rin ang pagmamahal sa mga taong naka-trabaho mo na. So medyo, ang hirap-hirap to make a decision. But I chose to stay away for whatever is happening muna.” she added.

It can be recalled that MJ became part of Eat Bulaga’s ‘4M’, together with Maja Salvador, Main Mendoza, and Miles Ocampo.

MJ was currently a guest host of TV5’s newest noontime show, E.A.T, and hosting the ‘Sugod Bahay’ segment with Paolo Ballesteros, Wally Bayola, and Zombie.

Sara Duterte writes an open letter to Socrates Villegas: “You are worse than a hundred President Dutertes”

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte wrote an open letter to Ligayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas, who made criticisms against President Rodrigo Duterte because of his policies.

It can be recalled Villegas blamed Duterte for defacing the memory of the EDSA Revolution and used the letter he received from the late Cardinal Jaime Sin to justify his criticisms against the former Mayor.

However, Duterte denied that her father was the reason why EDSA was getting a bad impression among the public.

She questioned why EDSA was becoming an event about a certain group of people, despite the fact that it was a joint effort of the public who wanted their democracy restored.

“Fast forward to 2017, I would now say that the celebration of the 1986 EDSA revolution is important but only to commemorate what we did for our country on a certain period in our history.

“I find it hard to understand why this bloodless revolution has become the standard definition of freedom for our country, and this standard is forced down our throats by a certain group of individuals who think they are better than everyone else. These are the elite and their friends, including Archbishop Villegas.

“Oh, dear Archbishop. How dare you say that my father has singlehandedly defaced the memory of the EDSA revolution.

Duterte said that the nation was already facing problems even after EDSA.

She even believed that Villegas was only disappointed because the candidate they supported didn’t win against PRRD.

“He won the Presidency precisely because you ignored what was wrong with this world. All you desired was to put into power a leader who walks and talks like you – someone who is definitely not Rodrigo Duterte.

“Your group is sadly a bunch of delusional hypocrites. While all of you were up there riding high on your horses, you failed to notice that many of us down here empathize with what Rodrigo Duterte is saying because it is the hard truth. It is truly without the air of hypocrisy that we smell from your kind.”

She even told Villegas that he was worse than a hundred President Dutertes.

“You preach about freedom as if you invented it, as if it is your gift to us. Let me tell you what freedom is. It is to live a life that is free from your selective moral standard. This is what the meaning of EDSA is,” she said.

Duterte supporter tells Socrates Villegas: ‘Pura Luka Vega’s inspiration is Leni Robredo’

Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas captured the attention of the netizens after writing an advanced Gospel reflection on July 23, discussing the performance made by drag artist Pura Luka Vega.

In the said post, Villegas indirectly blamed the statements made by former President Rodrigo Duterte against the Catholic Church during his leadership.

“The seeds for this scandalous video were already planted in the field when we allowed vulgarity by high leaders in government to become a joking matter,” Villegas said.

However, one of the popular supporters of Duterte, Krizette Laureta Chu, told Villegas that it’s almost impossible for Vega to be inspired by the former President because the drag artist was a certified ‘Kakampink.’

Chu cited an article from Daily Tribune, where Vega revealed that former Vice President Leni Robredo was her inspiration.

“Pura Luka Vega as Mother Nature wanted to normalize talks on mental health and to make services available especially for queer people and the youth, while Lady Gagita as Confidently Powerful With a Heart talked against bullying and about being confident. She also shared that former Vice President Leni Robredo served as inspiration because she remained calm despite being bashed and being a victim of disinformation,” according to the article.

Chu also defended Luka from her critics, saying that people just let the drag artist do what she wants.

“If she wants to do it and it’s disrespectful to God, that’s between her and God. If it’s her way to worship and God rejects it, so be it,” she said.

“If He understands and accepts it, in His infinite wisdom, then we’re not in any position to judge. She will not be a bad influence to anyone because it’s not her job to influence or teach your children. It’s yours. Your children will grow up with your values, not hers.

“Wag tayo maging hipokrito like Soc Villegas.” she added.

Socrates Villegas blames former Pres. Duterte for influencing Pura Luka Vega ‘Ama Namin’ performance

Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas made another criticism against former President Rodrigo Duterte amid the issue being faced by drag artist Pura Luka Vega who performed a remix version of ‘Ama Namin’ while wearing a costume of Jesus.

In a Facebook post, Villegas said that the disrespectful behavior of some individuals against the Catholic Church was already “bound to happen.”

Villegas believed that the issue involving Vega was only the start.

“The seeds for this scandalous video were already planted in the field when we allowed vulgarity by high leaders in government to become a joking matter. Our cooperative indifference and supportive laughter, as we heard those vulgarities, make us accomplices in blasphemy. This was a small beginning like the seed of weed,”

“The small seeds were already planted when we chose cowardly silence as God was cursed by the highest government official. We giggled and later on voted for more officials who support such vulgarity. We were in cahoots. The seeds were planted then.

“The small seeds were already planted when we chose cowardly silence as God was cursed by the highest government official. We giggled and later on voted for more officials who support such vulgarity. We were in cahoots. The seeds were planted then.”

It can be recalled that Villegas is known of Duterte, while the former President is a critic of the Catholic Church.

The two clashed several times, and even the former President’s daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, criticized Villegas.

Bea’s replacement with Julia fueled the issue again, so the press couldn’t stop themselves from asking about her reaction to the decision of the producers.

According to Bea, the issue was already over a long time ago, so it’s not right for them to discuss it further.

“Wala naman akong… eto, ang totoo, dahil wala na ako sa project, ayoko rin bigyan ng kahit na anong meaning. Unang-una, wala na ako sa project at wala na rin ako sa relasyon na yun. Matagal na… matagal na tayong naka-move on lahat.” said Bea.

“Siguro, parang hindi na karapat-dapat na pag-usapan pa. At yun nga, paulit-ulit kong sasabihin, everything that’s meant for me will not pass me by and what’s meant for me will find its way.” she added.
