Ikinuwento ng isa sa mga Filipino fans na pinaalis ni Lea Salonga sa kanyang dressing room kung bakit nga ba nila nabanggit ang pangalan ng aktres na si G Toengi sa gitna ng kanilang pagpapaliwanag sa singer.

Matatandaan na nag-viral sa social media ang isang video kung saan makikita si Lea na pinagsasabihan ang tatlong fans niya na pumasok sa dressing room ng wala diumanong paalam.

Ayon kay Lea ay nagpakilala ang mga fans niya na may koneksyon sa isa sa mga producers ng show ng aktres sa Broadway Theater sa New york na ‘Here Lies Love,’ ngunit napag-alaman na hindi pala ito totoo.

Umabot naman sa milyon milyong views online ang video na ibinahagi ng digital creator at negosyante na si Christopher Capila.

Nakapanayam naman nila Julius Babao at Tintin Bersola si Capila at ipinaliwanag ng negosyante na ‘honest mistake’ lamang ang pagkakabanggit nila kay Toengi.

“Siguro dahil si girl na kasama ko is na-rattle na siya, kumbaga na shock na siya sa bungad namin ni Miss Lea kaya nabanggit niya nalang si Miss G Toengi which is ang dapat niya na sasabihin is ‘yung co-producer ng Here Lies Love na kakilala si Miss Toengi ay in-invite sila to watch the show,” paliwanag ni Capila.

“Kaya lang alam niyo na, nataranta na siya,” dagdag niya pa.

May mensahe naman si Capila sa kanyang mga kritiko at sinabi na sana’y hindi siya iwan ng mga ito kapag humupa na ang isyu.

“Sa mga bashers namin, ang dami niyo na. Please don’t leave me. Kasi alam mo this is the beginning of our friendship. Hindi lang naging maganda ‘yung ating panimula, sisiguraduhin ko na kapag nakilala niyo ko ay itu-twist ko yan 160 degrees in to love,” aniya.

Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) was rumored to file charges against some former Eat Bulaga hosts amid the legal battle between TVJ Productions and their company.

In the column published by Pilipino Star Ngayon’s Gorgy Rula, TAPE was already preparing the said charges against the former two hosts of Eat Bulaga.

However, Rula was not sure about the exact charges being filed by TAPE and who are the hosts included in the complaint.

It can be recalled that Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon filed charges against TAPE and GMA Network for alleged copyright infringement.

However, TAPE denied that they committed something unlawful and argued that they were the owner of Eat Bulaga’s title trademark.

One of the Filipino fans who entered Lea Salonga’s dressing room spoke for the first time about the viral incident.

In an interview with Julius Babao and Tintin Bersola, Christopher Capila said that the incident happened after Lea’s ‘Here Lies Love’ performance at Broadway Theater.

According to him, he only wanted to have a remembrance from the said event, so he asked several casts of the show for a photo, and some of them granted his request.

One of the personnel instructed them to go to the exit, where other fans were also waiting for their idols to come out.

Capila claimed that they followed the instruction and went outside Broadway.

While waiting, they were approached by one of the staff who was also outside the theater, so they asked him where they could find Lea.

“Sinabi namin, ‘we want to see Ms. Lea’ so tinanong niya po ‘yung pangalan namin. So pagkatanong po nung pangalan namin, pumasok po siya sa loob. Tapos after awhile, bumalik po siya at tinanong kung ano po ulit ‘yung pangalan namin, so pangalawang beses na po na tinanong ang aming pangalan.

“And then, bumalik nanaman siya sa loob at hindi po namin alam kung ano ‘yung ginawa niya, at lumabas siya sa ikatlong beses, sobrang saya po namin kasi sabi niya ‘you can go inside na’ so syempre kami super happy.

“So ayun nga pumasok na po kami, surprisingly may isa pang babae na pumasok sa amin para i-assist kami at dalhin kung nasaan si Ms. Lea at yes, nandoon nga at dinala kami yung pila, doon kami pinuwesto sa likod.

“Nakita naman po namin ‘yung pila at ‘yun ay para sa photo-op, at tsaka sa kunting chika chika ng mga guest na pumapasok po doon.”

He also denied that he dropped the name of one of the producers of the show to enter Lea’s dress room.

According to him, some people were allowed to go inside the dressing room, so they thought that everything was going to be fine.

However, when it’s already their turn to enter the dressing room, they are surprised by Lea’s reaction.

Julius believed that there was a miscommunication happened between Capila and security personnel.

Singer Janno Gibbs gave his reaction to the viral issue involving international artist Lea Salonga and her three Filipino fans, who entered her dressing room without permission.

In his Instagram story, Janno said that while Lea’s explanation about her personal space was valid, the OPM singer believed that it would be better if the latter made a better approach to her fans without embarrassing them in front of many people.

“Nasa tama naman si Ms. Lea. Bawal talaga sa dressing room/backstage ang wala sa listahan,” said Janno.

“Sana lang nasabi niya ng mas maayos. Yung hindi napapahiya ‘yung fans. Sa akin lang naman,” he added.

In the said video, Lea can be heard asking the said fans to leave the dressing room and wait for her outside.

Lea’s explanation has been receiving support from netizens, saying that the singer’s privacy should be respected.

Digital creator Christopher Retokelly Carpila, one of the Filipino fans who received a lecture from Lea, then posted a video to show how many people were waiting ‘outside’ to follow the protocols mentioned by the singer.

Still, Carpila still received criticism, saying that he should not expect VIP treatment and he should wait outside the Broadway if he really wanted to have a photo with Lea.

One of the fans who reportedly entered Lea Salonga’s dressing room after her performance at Broadway Theater spoke for the first time after the video they recorded during the incident went viral.

Lea was currently in New York to perform at ‘Here Lies Love,’ a musical about former first lady Imelda Marcos.

In his video, digital creator Cristopher Retokelly Carpila informed his family and friends that he was safe despite the criticism they received from Lea’s fans.

“Privacy, protocol at security, ang sarap talagang pakinggan ‘yung tatlo na yan,” Carpila said. “Nag-video po ako para ipaalam sa inyo na ipo-post ko na po ‘yung video na kung bakit nandoon po kami [sa dressing room]”

During the said incident, Lea can be heard refusing the request of Carpila’s group, who asked her for a photo and asked them to leave the dressing room and wait for her outside.

“If you’re not on the guest list we cannot have you back here. So, you’ll have to get to the door because if I allow this now then other people are gonna take advantage,” she explained.

“I’ll see you at the door but don’t go outside. Stay inside the door. Kasi kung wala sa listahan, hindi namin puwede ipasok. For security. Please don’t do that again,” she added.

Carpila then posted a video showing fans waiting outside the Broadway to meet the cast of the show.

He even flexed a photo of Arielle Jacobs, the lead star of Here Lies Love, and took the role of Marcos.

Meanwhile, Lea said that Carpila’s group was not really connected to any producers of the show like what the Filipino fans claimed.

“The person whose name they were naming as their producer friend has no idea who they are. I asked her, and she’s seen the video (all our producers have, as well as company management, house management and security). She had no idea who they were. I was giving the benefit of the doubt until the moment I heard back from her,” said Lea.

Singer Lea Salonga expressed her dismay after being informed by one of her fans about the concertgoers who live-streamed her Broadway performance.

In a tweet, netizen @itsyoohopia informed Lea that the three Filipino fans who entered her dressing room without her permission were also spotted recording her performance.

It can be recalled that Lea refused the request of the said Filipino fans for a photo-op.

The said fans recorded Lea during the incident and even posted the video on social media.

“They got too comfortable lol. Btw, just to inform you, during your turn in hll nag live po sila which is so wrong. They deleted it lang. anywaysss, stay safe and take care, Ms. Lea,” the netizen told the singer.

Lea couldn’t stop herself from cursing at the acts done by her fans.

In another tweet, she said that the three fans also rushed to her on the dance floor after the show, but their security personnel prevented them from going near her.

“Oh, I neglected to mention that he and his companions rushed me on the dance floor after the show. Security had to surround me at that point because they got scared,” she said.

It’s not yet known if Lea was planning to pursue legal actions against the said fans.
