Internet celebrity Xian Gaza defended It’s Showtime hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez from the move made by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) against the show.

It can be remembered that It’s Showtime production team received a summon from MTRCB for the acts made by Vice and Ion during the Isip Bata segment of the show.

However, Xian believed that there was no malice in the acts done by the celebrity couple and only the agency interpreted it as indecent.

“Movie and Television Review and Classification Board alam ko po na yung opinyon ko ay walang bilang sa mundo pero gusto ko lang po i-express na wala akong nakikitang kalaswaan sa ginawa ni Vice Ganda at Ion Perez. Yung isipan lang po natin ang malaswa,” said Christian.

Xian believed that if Vice is only a natural-born woman, MTRCB may not even summon It’s Showtime producers.

“KUNG BABAE AT LALAKI PO SILA EH HINDI NIYO PO YAN SISILIPIN AT IISIPAN NG MASAMA. DINISCRIMINATE NIYO LANG PO SILA DAHIL SA KANILANG GENDER ORIENTATION,” he said.

As of writing, It’s Showtime remained mum on the issue and even Vice, who’s known for engaging against his critics, kept his silence.

Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza gives each other luxurious gifts worth millions of pesos

Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza exchanged luxurious gifts with each other after their star-studded wedding last July 28.

A fan of Maine posted a photo of the gift exchange between the bride and groom.

According to the photos, Maine received a Hermès Mini Kelly bag that was reportedly worth P7-M, while Arjo had been presented with a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser with a price of P5.7-M.

Meanwhile, Maine and Arjo already discouraged their guest to give them gifts and instead, asked them to donate to the affected families of Typhoon Paeng.

Netizens believed that the two deserved to receive such gifts from each other as they were both successful and could afford luxurious things.

However, some critics pointed out that Arjo should avoid flexing luxurious things especially since he’s already a public servant.

“Politician si A. Both of them know na in bad taste to do this. Pag professional ka may code of conduct ka dapat na sinusunod. The same way na pag nagtatrabaho ka sa ospital for example, di ka pwede tumanggap ng mamahaling regalo sa pasyente kahit pa can afford sila,” a netizen said.

“Pag nasa public eye, at ang pinagsisilbihan eh 70% lugmok sa kahirapan, simpleng delicadeza na lang na wag maging showy sa kayamanan,” another netizen remarked.

A lawyer reminds Vice Ganda’s fans not to criticize MTRCB: “They’re the decision maker”

A lawyer gave a friendly hint to the supporters of It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda not to criticize the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) if they really want to protect the noontime show from suspension.

It can be recalled that MTRCB summoned the producer of the ABS-CBN noontime show due to the alleged indecent actions performed by Vice and his boyfriend Ion Perez during the Isip Bata segment.

Thousands of netizens expressed their disappointment thru social media and called MTRCB ‘unfair’ and even asked the agency’s chairperson Lala Sotto to resign because of her connection to E.A.T host Tito Sotto.

However, former Former Caloocan Prosecutor Darwin Cañete believed that instead of helping Vice, his supporters might put the comedian in a worse situation.

He reminded the fanbase of Vice that MTRCB is not their enemy, but the decision-maker on the fate of It’s Showtime.

“Apologists of horse face forget that when a tribunal summons you, it does not help if you throw mud at it. it is not an opponent. it is a decision-maker. tread carefully,” said Cañete.

In another post, the prosecutor reminded the supporters of Vice about what happened to ABS-CBN when its supporters criticized the congress.

The lawyer’s followers also agreed with what he said.

“Do not antagonize people who have power over the outcome of your case,” Ethel said.

“Parang ABS-CBN lang din. Inangasan nila si PRRD. Yun. Iyak!” netizen Eric commented.

If proven, MTRCB had the power to suspend or even remove It’s Showtime from television.

Sotto also said that It’s Showtime already flagged by their agency several times but they only sent stern warnings in the past.

Rendon Labador responds to Cristy Fermin’s criticism against him: “Buhay pa pala to”

Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador reacted to Cristy Fermin’s criticism against him.

It can be recalled that Cristy took a swipe several times against Rendon, saying that the opinion of the latter about different issues involving celebrities was pointless.

In his response, Rendon claimed that he was not aware that the veteran columnist was still alive.

“Akala ko multo amp! Buhay pa pala yan?” said Rendon. “Napamura ako, sorry! goosebumps ako dito. Akala ko talaga patay na to, tumayo balahibo ko sa kamay. Legit ba to?”

“Matapang tayo pero kapag multo na kalaban mo eh ibang usapan na. Kinabahan ako,” he added.

Cristy has yet to respond to Rendon’s reaction to her statement.

The Marikina Regional Trial Court Branch 273 canceled the second hearing in the copyright infringement case filed by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Jenny Ferre against Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE).

According to the reports, a hearing was supposed to happen on July 31, but it was canceled when Sotto failed to submit a judicial affidavit on the time set by the court.

It can be recalled that TVJ and Ferre asked the court to stop TAPE Inc. from using the artistic elements surrounding Eat Bulaga, including its title, theme song, and segments.

When Tito was already set to testify in court, the lawyer of TAPE, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque and GMA Network lawyer Eric Vincent Estoesta objected to the E.A.T host’s presentation on the witness stand, saying that the former senate president didn’t pass a judicial affidavit on time.

The court approved the objection of the two layers and canceled the hearing.

However, they gave Sotto a chance to pass his judicial affidavit within three days and was fined P5,000 as the Supreme Court rule stated.

The hearing was scheduled on August 11 and August 25.

As of writing, TVJ’s camp has yet to give any comment on why they failed to submit a judicial affidavit.

It’s Showtime host Ion Perez believed that there was a deeper reason why Motivational Speaker Rendon Labador was motivated on trying to get his attention.

In his Instagram post, Ion took a swipe against Rendon who called him inept and dependent on his girlfriend Vice Ganda.

“May abs ka nga pero palamunin ka naman! Aanhin mo ang abs kung sa bakla [ka] kumakapit?” said Rendon.

Ion then said that Rendon possibly wanted his attention because he had a type in him.

“Ilabas ang resibo! Gusto ako niyan kaya siya ganiyan!” said Ion.

As of writing, Rendon has yet to give any response to Ion’s post.

It can be recalled that Rendon called out Ion and Vice for their alleged indecent actions during the ‘Isip Bata’ segment of It’s Showtime.

The said actions resulted in It’s Showtime producers being called by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

Vice also took a swipe against Rendon whom he called ‘toxic’ who’s doing everything to gain attention.

“Kung anu ano na talaga ang pinapasok at ginagawa ng ilang tao para lang sumikat no? Yung kahit magpakatoxic kakaririn nila basta makaamot lang ng relevance. How pathetic! Ang sad! It’s not mothering!” Vice said.

A 73-year-old man from Lapu-Lapu City had finally passed the rite of passage into manhood when he finally decided to be circumcised.

According to the reports, Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan encouraged old people to undergo circumcision in exchange for financial assistance from him.

The old man who only identified as ‘Lolo Mado’ was one of the people of Lapu-Lapu who accepted the challenge.

His operation was considered successful, and now recovering in his house.

“Ke tanda ko na nga naman eh magba-viral pa sa ganito,” the old man said in Cebuano.

Chan refused to give any more information about the old man, but according to some reports, he has seven children and 62 grandchildren.

The Mayor said that Lolo Mado inspired many men to be circumcised despite their age.

In another interview, the old man narrated why he was not circumcised during his youth.

“Bata pa kami magpapatuli na sana kami, apat kami magpapatuli. Una pa lang parang rason kami ang nasa huli, hindi nalang namin pinagpatuloy, umuwi na lang kami, dahil sa takot,” Lolo Mado said.

“Dahil ang tuli dati sa panahon namin, maliit na itak lang ang gamit,” he added.

Lapu Lapu City Cebu Health office encouraged their old residents to avail their free circumcision.

“Health-wise mas mabuti talaga kung ma-circumcise, so Mayor is giving the incentive to those male individuals above 20 who are not circumcized to come out that’s why Mayor is giving an incentive of 10,000 para they have the guys to come out,” Dr. Agnes Cecile Balbuena-Realiza, City Health officer of Lapu Lapu City said.

Ben Tulfo defends Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa: “Dapat sila ang tinatawag na ehemplo”

Journalist Ben Tulfo defended Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa from their critics after the quinquagenarian couple kissed on the noontime show E.A.T.

In his radio program Bitag, Tulfo said that instead of criticizing, Tito and Helen must become an inspiration among couples as their relationship never changed during the 52 years of their marriage.

“Pag ibig na walang kupas, till death do us part, diba dapat sila’y tinatawag na ehemplo ng mga magulang na sila’y nagsasama, nagkapamilya, tanggap ng lipunan,” Tulfo said.

Tulfo hinted that Vice Ganda and Ion Perez couldn’t be compared to Tito and Helen because the latter couple built a normal family.

“Si nanay nagkaanak dahil kay tatay… Hindi naman pwedeng si tatay at si tatay magkakaanak, hindi pupwede ‘di ho ba?” said Tulfo.

“Dahil sa istruktura ng babae at lalake, nag-asawa, ‘yan po ginawa po ng poong maykapal na si babae nagkaanak dahil kay lalake o mister kasi si misis, ang kanilang pagsasama dahil legal sila mag-asawa, nagbunga ang kanilang pag-ibig,” he added.

According to him, there’s nothing wrong with the action that Tito and Helen did during the show because they’re a longtime couple.

“Wala po akong makita sa mag-asawang si dating senator Tito Sotto at si Helen Gamboa.. Sila po’y kilala sa larangan ng industriya,” he stated.

“Wala po akong makitang malaswa, walang masama sa kanilang kinikilos o sa kanilang propesyon sa kanilang matagumpay na larangan, may mga anak may apo, anong problema n’yo?” he added.

It can be recalled that MTRCB summoned the producers of It’s Showtime for the alleged ‘indecent’ acts performed by Vice and Ion.

However, several Kapamilya fans called out MTRCB for allegedly ignoring the actions did by Tito and Helen.

They even suspected that MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto was protecting her father and his show.

Dennis Padilla, may seryosong babala kay Gerald Anderson: “Yang girlfriend mo, anak ko yan”

Dennis Padilla reminded Gerald Anderson that he should show some respect to him as the father of his girlfriend, Julia Barretto.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Dennis insisted that Gerald should talk to him if ever the Kapamilya actor decided to marry Julia.

“Kausapin n’ya ako. Dapat kausapin ako ni Gerald Anderson. Kailangan ‘yon,” said Dennis.

He even narrated that Gerald avoided him several times when they had a chance to meet and talk to each other.

“There was a time, si Andrew E., I think, nagkita sila sa event ni Gerald. Ang sabi ni Andrew E., ‘Gerald, kausapin mo naman si tito Dennis mo, gusto ka lang namang makausap nu’n.’ Ang sabi ni Gerald, ‘yes, tito Andrew.’ Pero hindi naganap,” Dennis narrated.

There was also a time when the two attended the same basketball event, but Gerald still didn’t talk to him even if the actor was fully aware that the father of his girlfriend was there.

He suspected that Gerald was playing safe and do not want to upset Julia or Marjorie Barretto.

“Siguro mas mahalaga sa kanya na good shot kay Marjorie, Pero sa’kin kahit bad shot siya okay lang,” he said.

As of writing, Gerald has yet to give any response to the statement made by Dennis.

It can be recalled that Dennis and Julia didn’t see each other for several years already because of personal reasons.

Dennis tried to reach his daughter many times but his efforts turned out to be a failure.
