Group files charges against Vice Ganda and Ion Perez

A group filed complaints against Vice Ganda and Ion Perez for allegedly violating the cybercrime law and other charges for still unknown reasons.

On September 11, 2023, the group Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas (KSMBP) filed the charges against the It’s Showtime hosts before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

Atty. Mark Tolentino who represented the group said that they would hold a press conference on September 13 to explain why they decided to file charges against Vice and Ion.

Last month, the group met with the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairperson Lala Sotto to discuss the proliferation of ‘immoral’ content on some television shows.

It’s not yet known if the complaints they filed were related to the alleged indecent actions performed by Vice and Ion in front of several children during one of the episodes of the Isip Bata segment.

As of writing, Vice and Ion have yet to give any statement on the new charges they were facing.

Aside from the charges, It’s Showtime was also in the process of appealing the 12-day airing suspension imposed by MTRCB on them.

 

Kaye Abad explains why she have bodyguards during her mall visit

Kaye Abad explained why she was spotted being guarded by several men while shopping for groceries at a mall in Cebu City.

It can be recalled that Kaye went viral on social media after she was recorded while traveling around the mall while being followed by several men wearing white uniforms.

According to her, the bodyguards were provided by the mall where she visited as she was collaborating with the said establishment.

Kaye said that she refused to be guarded, but the bodyguards told her that they were only following orders.

“I explained it on my social media na I did a collaboration with this supermarket. And then, so nagpadala silang bodyguard, the bodyguards work for the supermarket, and then I told them na hindi ko na kailangan ng bodyguards kasi ’yung mga Cebuano sanay naman na sakin na nag-iikot-ikot lang ako sa mall mag-isa,” the actress said.

“But then sabi nila, ‘sige lang ma’am’ kasi inutos daw sa kanila so sabi ko, ‘ah okay,’ so yung nag-viral, hindi po sa akin yung bodyguards na ’yun, sa supermarket po,”  she added.

Julia Barrettto walks out after being asked about the encounter between Gerald Anderson and Maja Salvador

Actress Julia Barretto walked out of an interview after she was asked about her opinion on the encounter between her boyfriend Gerald Anderson and the actor’s ex-girlfriend Maja Salvador.

In a video taken by Jayco Manangan, Julia was seen walking out after she heard a question from one of the members of the entertainment press.

“Oh, my goodness madam, I don’t have time for this bye,” said Julia.

It can be remembered that Gerald and Maja went viral on social media after the actor greeted his ex-girlfriend during the sidelines of one of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.

Maja’s husband, Rambo Nuñez was also present during the incident.

Gerald and Maja had a relationship from 2013 to 2015.

Maja said in a past interview that her relationship with Gerald was one of her ‘biggest mistakes’.

The actress said that her career was affected during that time because of the wrath she received from the fans of Kim Chiu, who’s also an ex-girlfriend of Gerald.

“Dapat hindi namin pinilit. Oo, na-in love kami sa isa’t isa pero siguro yung mahirap na sa umpisa pero parang andiyan na eh!” she said.

Television host Buboy Villar couldn’t hide his happiness after Television and Exponents (TAPE) Inc. successfully regained ownership of Eat Bulaga’s YouTube channel.

In his Facebook post, Buboy shared the first live stream of Eat Bulaga on YouTube using their official channel.

“FIRST LIVE SA YT CHANNEL THANKYOU LORD!” Buboy wrote.

On September 9, TAPE Inc. posted its first live stream using the YouTube channel of Eat Bulaga.

However, the regaining of TAPE’s ownership on the Eat Bulaga channel disappointed Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon who were the former hosts of the longest-running noontime show.

They revealed their plan to take legal action to recover the YouTube channel.

“The owner of the YouTube channel is the owner of the email used to register it. It is not TAPE. The content of that YouTube account are past episodes of ‘Eat Bulaga.’ The copyright of the show and its episodes belong to TVJ,” Atty. Enrique Dela Cruz Jr. the legal counsel of TVJ said in a statement.

TVJ’s camp also suspected that Tape Inc. hacked the Youtube channel of Eat Bulaga to gain access to it.

Meanwhile, the Facebook page of Eat Bulaga was still inactive as of writing.

 

Coco Martin shares that he is being guided by Fernando Poe Jr. “naniniwala ako na nariyan si FPJ,”

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo leading actor and director Coco Martin believed that he was being guided by the late action star Fernando Poe Jr.

In an interview, Coco said that he also couldn’t explain why new ideas kept coming to his mind that helped him to extend Batang Quiapo.

Coco admitted that he had no experience in creating programs or writing stories, but he still successfully did his tasks.

“Honestly, wala akong alam sa paggawa ng mga teleserye, pagsusulat… hindi ko rin alam kung paano nangyayari lahat. Kapag nasa creative (team) ako, honestly sinasabi ko pagod na pagod na ‘ko… hindi ko alam kung kaya ko pa, pero ‘pag naron na ‘ko, nagsisimula na ‘kong magsalita, hindi ko alam kung saan nanggagaling yung ideas, yung mga sinasabi ko, yung mga kuwentong ikinukuwento namin, hindi ko alam…” said Coco.

He believed that FPJ and God were giving him ideas to continue his craft.

“Guidance ni God, and then sabi ko siguro… naniniwala ako na nariyan si FPJ para i-guide ako talaga…” said the actor.

It can be recalled that Coco was dubbed as the next FPJ as he was leading the projects made by the King of Filipino Movies and turned it into a series.

Former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile talked about the attitude of Vice Ganda amid the suspension imposed by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) against It’s Showtime.

It can be remembered that It’s Showtime kept airing despite the suspension after the program filed a Motion of Reconsideration to appeal the 12-airing day suspension imposed by the government agency headed by Lala Sotto.

In an interview with SMNI, Enrile said that Vice was being arrogant because of his popularity.

“Ang problema dito sa bansa natin kung meron kang power, political, social, economic or whatever, halos hindi mo na iniisip ‘yong kapwa,” said Enrile.

“Ang binigay na katangian mo sa lipunan ay hindi mo na tinitingnan ang kapakanan nung mga iba. Sarili mo na lang ang iniisip mo. Akala mo maganda ang ginagawa mo pero bastos ka, bastos kang tao!” he added.

According to Enrile, Vice was already showing a bad attitude even before.

“Hindi lang walang decency kungdi abusado. Alam ko na mapagpatawa yang binabanggit mo na babae (Vice Ganda) magmula pa ng araw ganyan na yan… you’re earning your living and popularity sa kabastusan,” he said.

Coincidentally, Enrile who’s the chief legal adviser of the President may decide on the appeal filed by It’s Showtime to MTRCB.

Megastar Sharon Cuneta received lectures from some netizens amid the rumored rift between her daughters KC Concepcion and Frankie Pangilinan.

The netizens criticized Sharon for posting a cryptic message amid the issue between the half-sisters.

“Every kind of love, it seems, is the only one. It doesn’t happen twice. And I never expected that you could have a broken heart and love with it too, so much that it doesn’t seem broken at all. I know young people look at me and think my youth seems so far away, but it’s all around me, and you’re all around me,” the photo posted by Sharon read.

“From Peter Pan…For one of my four children,” she captioned.

In another post, Sharon shared another quote from Peter Pan, but it only intensified the criticism thrown by the netizens against her.

“Oversharing on social media causes animosities, misunderstandings, ill feelings,” said netizen @beejoyceful.

“Tapos mamaya may video na umiiyak at di siya maintindihan. Conflicting. Palaging ipinapahiya ang anak. Meron kayang nagbibigay ng advice sa kanya?” netizen @angelakempis commented.

“Bilang nanay dapat isipin at alam mo ano ang feelings ng isang anak na hindi buo ang pamilya. maswerte yan mga anak mo kay kiko dahil buo sila. Sana sa gitna ka wala kang favorite sa mga anak mo,” netizen @lovlyluz489 remarked.

It can be recalled that KC unfollowed Frankie and her stepfather Kiko Pangilinan last week.

She also shared some of her thoughts, saying that she felt alone sometimes as both of her parents already have their own families.

“May pamilya na rin ‘yung mother side ko, may pamilya na rin ‘yung father side ko. Minsan mapi-feel mo na mag-isa ka lang sa gitna,” said KC.

 

 

TAPE Inc. denies ‘hacking’ allegation of Eat Bulaga’s YouTube channel

The camp of the Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. denied the accusations from the lawyer of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon that they hacked the YouTube channel of Eat Bulaga to gain access to it.

In a statement, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque said that there was no reason for them to hack the Eat Bulaga YouTube channel which has 5-M subscribers.

According to them, the owner of the channel was an employee of TAPE, so they only asked YouTube to recover it.

Aside from that, the bank connected to the YouTube channel was also owned by TAPE.

“Tape did not hack the account. Tape will never do such a thing. Thus, it is not liable for cybercrime. Being the owner of the account, Tape was able to coordinate with YouTube to change the email and the password and the new contact person in behalf of the company,” said Abraham-Garduque.

“The person who made the account was an employee of tape when she made the account and she made the YouTube account in behalf of tape, inc. Tape, Inc is ready to show the official receipts from YouTube stating that it is the one which spent to create the account. The bank account linked to the You Tube account is likewise owned by Tape, Inc,” she added.

It can be recalled that TAPE aired its first live stream using the official YouTube channel of Eat Bulaga on September 9.

However, the TVJ camp said that they would take legal action to recover the said YouTube channel.

Atty. Enrique Dela Cruz, the lawyer of TVJ, said that the past episodes uploaded on the said Youtube channel were under the copyright of his client.

“The content of that You Tube account are past episodes of Eat Bulaga. The copyright of those shows and all derivative works belong to TVJ,” said Dela Cruz.

Pastor Dimver Andales, humingi ng karagdagang panahon para sumagot sa mga akusasyon laban sa kanya

The controversial pastor of the Lapasan Baptist Church wanted a longer time to answer the accusations he was facing.

In a statement, Pastor Dimver Andales wanted the prosecutors to give him more time to prepare for his defense on his involvement in the case of 2023 Mister Cagayan de Oro candidate Adrian Rovic Fornillos.

According to the Pastor’s lawyer, Rhobert Maestre, they asked the court to give his client 10 more days to prepare for a counter-affidavit to prove that he was not the one who orchestrated the passing of Fornillos.

Maestre said that they needed more time to prepare the evidence to prove the innocence of his client.

It can be recalled that Andales was facing the said accusations after several Facebook posts claimed that he was the alleged ‘sugar daddy’ of Fornillos’ girlfriend, Jone Oro.

Some claims said that Andales was allegedly upset that Oro was planning to marry Fornillos.

Andales was even present during the wake of Andales and even prayed for the late student’s soul.

The Pastor insisted that he had no relationship with Oro and even said that he would file charges against the people who spread the said rumors.

He also suspected that the rumors spread against him was ‘politically motivated’.

Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon were preparing legal actions against Television and Productions Exponents (TAPE) Inc. after the latter successfully gained ownership of Eat Bulaga’s YouTube channel

The said channel, which has 5.31-M subscribers posted the first live of Eat Bulaga on September 9, 2023, giving a big boost to the social media presence of the longest-running noontime show.

In a statement, the legendary trio said that they would file legal actions so they could recover the YouTube channel from TAPE.

Atty. Enrique Dela Cruz Jr. told the press that the email registered under the Eat Bulaga YouTube channel was not owned by TAPE.

Dela Cruz also argued that the episodes uploaded on the said YouTube channel were copyrighted under TVJ.

“The owner of the YouTube channel is the owner of the email used to register it. It is not TAPE. The content of that YouTube account are past episodes of ‘Eat Bulaga.’ The copyright of the show and its episodes belong to TVJ.” said the lawyer.

“We are preparing the appropriate legal action. This may constitute a cyber crime if they hacked into the account or made misrepresentations to YouTube,” he added.

TAPE Inc’s lawyer, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Duque confirmed that they were now handling the said Youtube channel.

It’s not yet known if they would also be given access to the Facebook page of Eat Bulaga.
