Vice Ganda was not happy with the explanation written by the flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) to his complaint.

It can be recalled that Vice used his social media pages to express his disappointment towards PAL due to an alleged overbooking issue that forced the comedian to miss his flight.

According to PAL, they made two business class seats unavailable due to safety reasons, which resulted in Vice losing a place on the plane.

However, PAL claimed that they offered an alternative solution to Vice, by downgrading his seats to economy, which the comedian reportedly refused to do.

“First and foremost, we want to clarify that the flight was not overbooked, and we operate with the utmost commitment to safety. During pre-flight safety checks, two business class seats were identified as unserviceable due to safety concerns, rendering them unfit for passenger use. As a result, you were among the passengers offered a seat downgrade to economy class, a decision made to ensure safety and the operational integrity of the flight,” PAL wrote.

“We acknowledge that this may have been inconvenient and we extend our sincere apologies for any discomfort you experienced. We have received an update that eventually, two alternative passengers were identified and agreed to accept the downgrade offer, allowing you to return to your originally booked business class seats. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this situation,” they added.

Vice then responded to PAL’s explanation, saying that the reason that the communication staff of the company was different from what he heard at the airport.

As of writing PAL has yet to give any official statement about the result of their investigation.

Jinkee Pacquiao received praise on social media after she reportedly supported Manny Pacquiao’s decision to recognize his illegitimate son, Eman Bacosa.

According to talent manager and showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz, Jinkee urged her husband to support Eman, the alleged child of the only eight-division world champion to Joanna Rose Bacosa.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin reacted to the accusations that Willie Revillame allegedly used poor people to earn money.

In one of the episodes of her online show with Rommel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, Cristy talked about some of the netizens’ comments against Willie.

Cristy was reacting to the news that Willie would become part of state-sponsored channels to entertain the ‘lowest of the lowest,’ which gained criticism on social media.

“Hindi ka naman nagta-trabaho para yumaman, ikaw ay gumagamit ng mahihirap para yumaman ka,” Cristy said while mentioning the criticism received by Willie.

Former producer and showbiz personality Robby Tarroza went viral on social media last week after he published several claims against Pia Magalona amid the revelation made by Abegail Rait about her alleged relationship with Francis Magalona.

In a Facebook post, Robby claimed that Pia was already married even before she met Francis, and he also said that the master rapper was already done with the latter.

Because of his popularity on social media, several netizens remembered that this was not the first time Robby became controversial because of his actions.

Some netizens talked about an incident in 2005 where the late actor Rudy Fernandez heatedly confronted Robby in Japan after the former discovered that the former producer wanted them to be put under the custody of immigration and forced to fly back to the Philippines.

According to the reports, Robby allegedly wrote a letter to the Japanese Embassy to inform them that one of Rudy’s colleagues for the show, Justin de Leon, would perform without his bosses’ consent.

It was reported that Robby was doing the said practice against celebrities performing in Japan who were not under his promotion.

When Rudy returned to Japan after a week, he dedicated his free time to tracing Robby, whom he found at the Viva office in Narita.

Robby experienced what Rudy was doing to his enemies in movies for real and was brought to the hospital after the confrontation.

The former producer reportedly apologized for what happened.

Vice Ganda went viral on social media after suddenly criticizing Philippine Airlines (PAL) after complaining about the inconvenience they experienced due to an overbooking issue on the flight he booked.

On October 25, Vice, who was on his way back to the Philippines, called out PAL, claiming that he had lost his original flight because it was fully booked already, even if he also bought a ticket for the said schedule.

“GRABE KA @flyPAL!!! Grabeng pangaabala at perwisyo ang dinulot mo sa masaya sanang trip na ito!!! Bakit kayo ganyan??? Ilang beses nyo kaming pinaranas ng overbooking sa puntong di nakasakay ang kasama namin. Ngayon ako naman ang nawalan ng upuan!” said Vice.

PAL quickly addressed the complaint published by Vice, who is known as one of the top celebrity endorsers in the Philippines.

The airline apologized several times to Vice and explained that they quickly investigated the incident and even allowed the comedian to fly on his original flight.

“Hi, Vice. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your flight from Bangkok to Manila. Please be assured that we are actively investigating the issue and are in close coordination with our team in Bangkok. We are committed to providing you with assistance and updates as soon as they become available. If you require any immediate assistance, please let us know. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” PAL wrote.

PAL then denied that an overbooking incident happened and explained that they only made two business class seats unavailable due to ‘safety reasons.’

They also revealed that they offered Vice to downgrade to economy class, but the comedian refused.

“First and foremost, we want to clarify that the flight was not overbooked, and we operate with the utmost commitment to safety. During pre-flight safety checks, two business class seats were identified as unserviceable due to safety concerns, rendering them unfit for passenger use,” PAL said.

“As a result, you were among the passengers offered a seat downgrade to economy class, a decision made to ensure safety and the operational integrity of the flight.

However, Vice claimed that it was one of the PAL staff who told him that the flight was ‘overbooked’ already.

Vice Ganda called out Philippine Airlines, claiming they experienced inconvenience during their flight from Hong Kong to the Philippines.

In a series of tweets, Vice directly mentioned PAL due to an overbooking issue.

Overbooking is a practice that some airline companies do by allowing their customers to buy a ticket even if the plane is full already.

Airline companies expect that not everyone who bought a ticket will show up, so they still allow bookings to maximize profits.

However, sometimes, the airline is wrong with their prediction, so some flyers would be forced to rebook to another flight schedule because the plane they booked is already fully occupied.

According to Vice, the incident caused them a tremendous amount of stress.

“Sistema nyo na ba talaga ang overbooking @flyPAL ??? Alam nyo ba kung gaanong stress ang idinudulot nyo sa pasaherong di nakakasakay sa binook at binayaran nyang flyt? May damdamin pa ba kayo ng malasakit para sa pasahero? Pera pera?” he stated.

He also shared how he cried at the airport because of the inconvenience that the airline company gave to them.

“Walang halong biro naiyak ako habang tumatakbo para umabot ako sa flyt na muntik kong di masakyan dahil nagoverbook kayo. Si Ion inabutan kong mukhang kawawang nasa pinto ng eroplano dahil ayaw nyang sumakay kung di ako makakasakay. Yun ang ginawa nyo sa amin. @flyPAL,” he stated.

As of writing, PAL has already addressed the incident and apologized to Vice for what happened to his team.

It can be recalled that Vice, together with several hosts of It’s Showtime went to Hong Kong for a vacation amid the suspension imposed by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to their show.

Ricci Rivero’s father, Ruzko Rivero, praised Leren Bautista after his son and the former beauty queen publicly admitted their relationship.

In an Instagram post, Mr. Rivero said that he was happy with the choice of Ricci to have Leren in his life, saying that Leren’s attitude was proper.

Netizens even noticed that the Rivero patriarch took a swipe against someone whom they believed was Ricci’s ex-girlfriend, Andrea Brillantes.

Aside from Mr. Rivero, Ricci’s mother, Abigail Uy-Rivero, also expressed her support for Ricci and Leren, saying that God would end a ‘toxic relationship.’

Pilar Mateo, the ex-publicist of Francis Magalona, denied the claims made by former showbiz personality Robby Tarroza that the master rapper’s relationship with Pia Magalona was devastating.

It can be recalled that Robby claimed that Francis shared his complaints to him, saying that the latter was regretful of his relationship with Pia.

“Francis then told me he was done with Pia and left her. he told me he couldn’t take it anymore. All the fights and bugbugan nila. Yung ugali daw ni pia nakakasira ng utak. He said he now has peace,” said Robby.

Francis Magalona’s publicist, Pilar Mateo, said that there was no chance for Pia Magalona to spend her time addressing the revelation made by Abegail Rait.

In an interview, Pilar, who worked for the Magalona family for many years, said that she already expected Pia to keep mum on the issue.

According to her, it was really Pia’s personality not to speak on private matters, especially if it was about her family.

“Kilala ko si Pia, hindi niya papansinin ‘yung ganyang mga bagay lalo na if it concerns her family. Pia is a very feisty woman at saka talagang strong ‘yan eh. Strong siya kahit anong mangyari basta poprotektahan niya ang pamilya niya no matter what,” she said.

She also praised Pia for taking care of Francis.

Through her social media post, Abigail Uy-Rivero made it clear that Andrea and Ricci didn’t commit cheating during their romance.
