A video of Vice Ganda, which was taken several years ago, went viral again on social media amid the issue being faced by the comedian for calling out a searchee of EXpecially For You for allegedly trying to kiss a participant without asking for consent.

In the video, a contestant of a now-defunct segment of It’s Showtime, Rampabida, was talking to Vice when the comedian suddenly held the contestant’s nape while jokingly attempting to kiss him.

The background music used on the video was the warning made by Vice to EXpecially For You contestant Axel Cruz.

According to the fans who watched the whole episode, Vice’s gesture was part of the comedy skit.

Netizens couldn’t stop themselves from reacting to the video, saying Vice couldn’t practice what he preached.

“I dunno why some people still watching and patronizing this kind of show.I mean,where’s the value?Pag nagkamali,okay lang kasi you made a mistake and you can always say sorry and just get on with it?Nawawala na values and morals lalo na sa mga batang nanonood na thinking it is a NORMAL thing to do a BAD THING as long as you say your sorry.What a waste of time slot sa noon show,” netizen Mike remarked.

Actor and television host Paolo Contis was criticized on social media after a statement was wrongly attributed to him by several pages.

During his appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Niño Mulach explained the discrepancy between a womanizer and a chick magnet and insisted that they are different.

“Kapag nambabae ka, kasalanan ‘yon. Kasi sinasadya mong mambabae. Pero kapag ikaw ‘yung [nilalapitan,] mapagbigay ka lang,” the former child actor said.

However, instead of Niño, some pages linked the statement to Paolo, a controversial actor.

A post published by the page Caloy Gaming has already garnered thousands of reactions on social media and received criticism from netizens.

As of writing, Paolo has yet to react to the statement being linked to him.

Paolo has become controversial in recent months due to his relationship with Yen Santos and a stint on Eat Bulaga.

He was also called a ‘womanizer’ by several netizens due to his failed relationships with Lian Paz and LJ Reyes despite having children with them.

Meanwhile, there were rumors that Paolo was already having problems with Yen.

Paolo already said that he didn’t mind the criticism against him and explained that negative comments from people he didn’t know had no significance in his life.

It’s Showtime ratings noticeably went up amid the issue being faced by Vice Ganda after she publicly called out EXpecially searchee Axel Cruz live on television.

According to NUTAM People Survey, It’s showtime gained popularity on May 31, 2024 during the episode featuring Axel and Christine.

The show gained a rating of 7.4 percent versus the 3.4 percent gained by its number one competitor, Eat Bulaga.

It can be recalled that many It’s Showtime fans suspected that there was a demolition job launched against the Kapamilya show, which explained why many people were criticizing Vice.

Some even noticed the silence of Eat Bulaga on the issue and blamed the longest-running noontime show for allegedly running the campaign.

However, no evidence would prove that Eat Bulaga was behind the criticism against Vice.

Nikko Natividad’s partner, Cielo Mae Eusebio, admitted the reason why the former Hashtag member decided to remove his post against Vice Ganda.

It can be recalled that Nikko called out his former co-host on It’s Showtime after Vice reprimanded EXpecially For You searchee Axel Cruz on live television.

The issue started when Axel appeared to be approaching one of the segment participants, Christine, for a kiss.

Nikko sympathized with Axel and even said that Vice was known for power-tripping.

Despite becoming viral on social media, Nikko’s post was mysteriously deleted on his page, and some speculated that the actor realized the possible effects of criticizing the influential comedian.

However, Nikko said that he never regretted criticizing Vice and clarified that he only gave friendly advice to the comedian.

Cielo shed light on why Nikko deleted the post, saying someone asked them to remove it.

According to her, she was the one who asked Nikko to delete the post.

“Kung bakit dinelete ang sagot lang diyan dahil pina-delete ko. Yun lang po,” she said. “Di ko na kailangan mag explain bakit ko pinadelete,” 

Some netizens tried to guess why Cielo asked her partner to delete the post, saying she was also worried that the issue could affect Nikko’s projects.

Talent manager Annabelle Rama gave a clue on who the “Chuckie” she was referring to in her previous post is.

In her Facebook post, Annabelle shared a post while she was watching the movie “Chuckie” and included a caption, giving a clue who the individual she was being compared to the said character.

“Ito si Chucky doll……E,” said Annabelle.

Some netizens quickly tried to guess the said individual, and most of them believed that Annabelle was referring to Esther Lahbati, the mother-in-law of her son, Richard Gutierrez.

It can be recalled that Esther reacted to some posts that addressed the Gutierrez family amid the separation issue between her daughter, Sarah Lahbati, and Richard.

She also reacted to the criticism addressed to Richard’s rumored girlfriend, Barbie Imperial.

Meanwhile, Annabelle was speculated to be in favor of Barbie based on her previous post.

Former Hashtag member Nikko Natividad said that he was not regretful for criticizing Vice Ganda on social media after the comedian called out an EXpecially For You searchee on national television.

It can be recalled that Nikko, along with Nico Locco, was one of the celebrities who criticized Vice and his alleged style of embarrassing people as a form of comedy.

While Nikko had already deleted his post, he clarified that he didn’t regret criticizing his former co-host, saying that he would never feel sorry about defending people.

“For the last time na magsasalita ako tungkol sa nakaraan kong post. Unang una sa lahat hindi ako nagsisisi na nagsalita ako ng sarili kong saloobin. Hindi ako nagsisisi na ipagtanggol ang ibang tao. Nababasa ko mga komento nyo saken at ang gusto nyo mawalan ako ng trabaho dahil lang sa naglabas ako ng sarili kong saloobin. (Na alam ko na posibleng mangyari),” Nikko wrote.

“Kung ikekwento ko ba pinagdaanan at iniyak ko sakanila magbabago ba tingin nyo sakin? Pero hindi naman yun ang intensyon ko na kumuha ng simpatya o makisali lang sa gulo. Naglabas ako ng saloobin ko dahil baka sakaling makatulong na may maayos o mabago na sitwasyon,” he added.

According to him, he only wanted to give advice to Vice because he considered him as a friend.

“Kasi ganun naman ang pamilya at kaibigan. Tatapikin ka kapag alam mong sumosobra o medyo nagkakamali na.Hindi po ako naghahanap ng kaaway, ang pagkakabura po ng post ko ay management decision, tunay at bukas sa isip at puso ko ang sinabi ko, payapa ang aking kalooban.” he stated.

However, several fans of Vice questioned Nikko’s real intention of publicly criticizing the comedian and said that he could have settled things privately if he had wanted to.

Vice Ganda went viral again on social media after the comedian seemed to take a swipe against Nikko Natividad on the June 8 episode of It’s Showtime.

During the segment EXpecially For You, Vice was talking to Onin De Guzman when the comedian suddenly made a joke to the guest.

“Subukan mong umikot,” Vice told Onin.

To clarify that he was joking, Vice ended his joke with “Charot.”

“Charot! Oh, may charot sa dulo!” he said.

Many netizens believed that Vice was referring to Nikko’s post against him.

It can be recalled that Nikko talked about Vice’s power tripping and the comedian’s technique of avoiding criticism by saying “Charot” in his jokes.

“Naawa lang ako sa lalaki na may nagawang mali pero hindi niya talaga intensyon. At syempre dun sa babae,” said Nikko. “Sobra lang kasi napahiya ‘yung lalaki na sasabihan pa na tatadyakan at pwede kasuhan,”

Nikko received criticism from Vice’s fans, who even called him a traitor, as many believed that It’s Showtime helped the former hashtag member advance his career.

Lorin and Venice Gutierrez Bektas gave their thoughts on the issue surrounding their clan amid the separation between Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati.

In an interview, Lorin and Venice were specifically asked about their grandmother Annabelle Rama’s statements, which were believed to be a swipe against Sarah.

It can be recalled that recently, Annabelle talked about not trying to quarrel with a certain “Barbie,” believed to be Barbie Imperial, while expressing her willingness to have a match-up with an individual she called “Chucky,” which many speculated to be Sarah.

Actress Kim Chiu was captured while trying to say something to ABS-CBN showbiz reporter MJ Felipe before her flight to Dubai.

During the conversation, which was not aired on television, Kim could be seen trying to approach MJ and even say something believed to be a swipe against somebody.

“Nakakainis… Gusto mo may sabihin ako? Baka walang manood ng pelikula niya!” said Kim.
