Netizens defended the priest facilitating the viral wedding held at Amlan on June 8, 2024.

The wedding went viral after Jove Deo Sagario and Janine Seit Suelto-Sagario aired their complaint on social media after Rev. Fr. Jovencito Kho allegedly rushed the wedding after the couple arrived late for an hour for the ceremony.

Kho received a tremendous amount of criticism from the netizens due to his behavior, but some Catholic faithful also believed that the Parish had a good reason to rush the wedding due to its tight schedule.

Some netizens who knew Kho personally described him as one of the best priests in their province.

They even blamed one of the sponsors who informed the couple about the unverified news that their wedding was moved to another schedule.

Another netizen also narrated how Kho rushed to the hospital to visit her sick father.

“Sa tingin ko nagkamali siya pero hindi naman umabot sa punto na siya lang ‘yung walang modo,” the netizen said.

Others already asked the netizens to stop criticizing the priest as they had already released a public apology and admitted their lapses during the wedding day.

As of writing, Kho has yet to grant an interview on the issue.

Jolina Magdangal received criticism from the netizens after she posted an open letter to Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon.

It can be recalled that Carlo and Charlie tied the knot on June 9 during a secret wedding celebration.

One of the celebrities who congratulated Carlo and Charlie was Jolina, who said that she was really rooting for the celebrity couple to become husband and wife.

However, some netizens raised their eyebrows after they saw Jolina’s post and even accused her of tolerating Carlo’s actions towards his former partner, Trina Candaza.

“Grabe naman caption mo jolens na “mapagmahal sa pamilya” knowing the fact na iniwanan nya magina nya. Oyan na bash ka tuloy! Kunsinti pa more,” a netizen said.

“Maganda sana kung naging mabuting ex si Carlo sa nanay ng anak nya, pede pa maintindihan ng mga tao na baka nga nag bago sya. Kaso sa pain na kinause nya sa maraming babae kagaya natin. Hndi sya credible na maalam mag mahal or rumispeto ng isang babae. Pano pa kung hindi sincere pag susustento sa anak? Madaming factor need iconsider sa ganyang klaseng lalaki. Hindi porket nagpakasal eh nag bago or matured na lalaki na. Buti hindi sila nagka tuluyan ni Trina kasi hndi nya deserve ang isang baby boy kundi a REAL MAN.” another netizen commented.

As of now, Jolina’s post has already been deleted.

Esther Lahbati made a response to the netizen who asked her to check Annabelle Rama’s posts on Facebook.

In her Instagram comment section, a netizen asked the mother of Sarah Lahbati to look at Annabelle’s recent Facebook posts about a certain “Chuckie,” which was believed to be a swipe against her.

“Tingnan nyo po ‘yung post ni Ms Annabelle Rama sa facebook oh,” the netizen said.

“Bakit no need abala lang sa akin. Thank you,” Esther responded.

It can be recalled that Annabelle took a swipe several times at someone she called “Chuckie” and even gave a clue that the person’s name started with the letter “E” and not the letter “S.”

Many netizens believed Annabelle was referring to Esther due to her past statements against Sarah’s mother.

While Sarah and Richard didn’t take swipe against each other, netizens noticed that their parents were actively posting indirect criticisms against each other.

As of writing, Annabelle has yet to respond to Esther’s comment.

The bride and groom in the viral wedding in Amlan received a remake of their wedding after their disastrous ceremony on June 8.

It can be recalled that Jove Deo Sagario and Janine Seit Suelto-Sagario shared their saddening wedding ceremony after the parish priest proceeded with the mass without waiting for the bride to reach the altar.

After the story went viral on social media, several wedding suppliers united to plan a part two wedding for Mister and Mrs. Sagario.

The initiative was led by a wedding violinist, John Lester Barot, who said they would hold the wedding on June 17 and described it as the ‘wedding of the year.’

“A dedicated group of suppliers has already been identified, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of them,” said Barot.  “We kindly ask everyone to refrain from sharing any negative comments regarding the previous events and instead join us in wishing the couple a lifetime of happiness and love, starting from this wedding,”
“For the privacy of the couple, further details about the event will remain confidential.
We know that many are looking forward to this event. For those who would like to witness it, there will be a live broadcast during this first ever Wedding Take II,” he added.

It’s not yet known if the wedding will be held in the same parish.

Meanwhile, St. Andrew Parish in Amlan has already released a statement and expressed their regret on the incident.

The head priest of the parish where the infamous wedding happened on Amlan explained why he decided to rush the ceremony and even started the mass without waiting for the bride to reach the altar.

In his explanation,  Msgr. Albert Erasmo G. Bohol, the head Parish priest of Saint Andrew Parish, admitted a miscommunication between them and the bride and groom, resulting in a confusing mass arrangement that day.

According to him, the assistant priest who facilitated the wedding still continued the wedding despite the couple was already late by an hour.

“On June 8, 2024, instead of arriving for the 8:00 AM wedding Mass, the bride and the groom arrived at around 9:00 AM. Despite the fact that they were late by an hour, still our Assisting Priest celebrated the Mass out of charity to the couple,” Bohol said.

They also clarified that the assistant priest rushed the start of the wedding mass due to the other faithful waiting outside for a funeral mass.

“He had to hurriedly make some adjustments, by starting when he saw the bride at the Church entrance, and after sending word to the bereaved family waiting outside the Church that there is going to be a delay in the Funeral Mass and to please wait until the wedding is over,” they explained.

Bohol made an apology to the public on behalf of the said assistant priest.

“OUR APOLOGY. However, we humbly admit the fact that along the way, there were statements made carried away by emotions,” they wrote.

Parish staff also showed the bulletin board showing that the wedding proceeded according to its original schedule, which contradicted the bride and groom’s claims.

The parish where the viral wedding happened, due to its disappointing ceremony, published a statement to address the couple’s complaint.

On June 10, 2024, St. Andrew the Apostle Parish published a statement to explain why the wedding was pushed to its original schedule without the awareness of the couple Jove Deo Sagario and Janine Seit Suelto-Sagario.

It can be recalled that Janine said they thought the wedding was rescheduled to 9:30 A.M. from its original schedule of 8:00 A.M., which explained why they came to the church at around 9:00 A.M.

However, they were surprised when the wedding proceeded to its original schedule, which resulted in the priest starting the mass even without the bride.

To address the criticism, St. Andrew Parish released a statement, explaining that they really didn’t reschedule the wedding and that the couple only got the information about the new schedule from one of the lady sponsors.

They also explained why they tried to rush the ceremony due to its busy schedule.

“She relayed this information in an unofficial capacity. This is unfortunate since there was no instruction at all from anyone in the Parish Office that there are changes in the schedule since there was a scheduled Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. of that same morning.  Parish Office Staff believe that the lady sponsor may have misread the dates written on the bulletin which she perused the night before,” the Parish wrote.

“On June 8, 2024, instead of arriving for the 8:00 AM wedding Mass, the bride and the groom arrived at around 9:00 AM. Despite the fact that they were late by an hour, still our Assisting Priest celebrated the Mass out of charity to the couple. But he had to hurriedly make some adjustments, by starting when he saw the bride at the Church entrance, and after sending word to the bereaved family waiting outside the Church that there is going to be a delay in the Funeral Mass and to please wait until the wedding is over. On that day, there were ten other schedules to be served by the Priests. That is the truth about what happened from our side,”

The Parish also admitted their mistake and apologized to the couple for their behavior.

“OUR APOLOGY. However, we humbly admit the fact that along the way, there were statements made carried away by emotions. Hence, we express our sincere apology to the bride and the groom, to their respective families who were directly offended by the turn of these events, and to the people who have seen our humanity as Priests in a time when we were weakest of any possible control. We also apologize and express gratitude to the bereaved family who were made to wait for the wedding to be finished. Pope Francis reminds us that “Priests have to bring compassion and forgiveness in the daily grind of life like Jesus the Lord”. Yet, we also ask for your kind indulgence for the times we were short in meeting that call. In the midst of this unfortunate event, please pray for us as we struggle with our frailties. We pray for the peace of everyone concerned in this event. We hope that the Lord of love will bless our Community with the grace of unity and peace – always!”

Albie Casiño expressed his support for former Hashtag member Nikko Natividad after the latter received criticism on social media for publicly criticizing Vice Ganda.

The issue started when Nikko sympathized with EXpecially For You searchee Axel Cruz, who was called out by Vice on national television for his alleged inappropriate gestures towards a participant.

As a response, several fans of Vice started a campaign to remove Nikko from all his projects just because he openly criticized the It’s Showtime host.

Albie then came to the rescue and defended his friend, saying that people should stop ruining other people’s lives just because they didn’t align with their opinions.

“Wala naman mali sa sinabi ni Nikko, lahat naman tayo mag sariling opinion and we all the right to voice that,” said Albie. “Ang mahirap is gusto niyo mawalan ng trabaho ang taong nag susuport ng pamilya dahil lang sa opinion niya,”

It can be recalled that Nikko already clarified that he only criticized Vice because he considered him a friend.

“For the last time na magsasalita ako tungkol sa nakaraan kong post.

A special day for a couple turned into a disappointment after the parish priest who facilitated their wedding started the mass even without the bride.

In a Facebook post, Janine Seit Suelto-Sagario shared the disheartening story of the wedding ceremony held at Saint Andrew Parish in Amlan.

According to her, they were informed that the wedding was rescheduled to 9:30 A.M from its original schedule of 8:00 AM.

However, it was already too late when they realized that the wedding would proceed to its original schedule without informing them, which resulted in them being late for an hour.

They were also approached by Parish staff, reprimanded for being late, and didn’t receive any chance to explain themselves.

Suelto-Sagario also said that the Parish Priest started the wedding even without the bride.

She said that due to the pressure, she was forced to ruin her once-in-a-lifetime bridal entrance by rushing to the altar.

The bride, who was pregnant, also narrated that she almost slipped while rushing to reach the altar, which endangered her unborn child.

Despite her bad experience, Suelto-Sagario ignored the negative feedback they received from the Parish officials as she was proud of their Church.

After her post went viral, Suelto-Sagario also said that their wedding might be repeated due to the assistance of local suppliers.

A scene that one would think could only be seen on soap operas happened in real life during a wedding in Lupon, Davao Oriental.

In a video published by japs_and_etc, a woman disrupts a wedding ceremony by repeatedly asking the church to stop the ceremony.

“Itigil ang kasal!” the woman repeatedly shouted.

The woman could also be seen confronting the husband and the bride and pleading with them not to continue the ceremony.

Later on, several guests quickly escorted the woman, who appeared to faint outside the church.

Despite the short disruption, the wedding between the two couples resumed.

According to several local reports, the bride and groom didn’t know the woman personally, which gave them the assumption that she was facing a mental health problem.

“Nagpaliwanag na po ang bride sa pangyayaring ito. Hindi po nila kilala ang babaeng sumigaw. Masasabi din daw na mukhang mentally challenged yung babae o wala sa katinuan,” the video uploader said.
