After the “secret” wedding of Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon, netizens discussed the rocky past relationship of the actor with Trina Candaza.

It can be recalled that the two were officially separated in 2021, but their issue didn’t end there as the two wrestled for the custody of their child, Mithi.

Last year, Carlo was seen at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court as he was reportedly asking to get a visitation right over his daughter, Mithi.

Trina decided to keep mum on the issue as per Ogie Diaz’s report.

“Tungkol sa ni-file na visitation rights ni Carlo sa RTC QC, sinabi ni Trina sa akin na ‘yung tungkol doon ay ayaw na muna niyang magsalita, at pipiliin niyang manahimik alang-alang daw kay Mithi,” he said.

Carlo made several claims that he couldn’t visit his daughter, although he was the one supporting Mithi alone.

However, Trina expressed her disappointment with the statements made by Carlo, saying that the actor was trying to make it look like she was not working for her child.

‘Yung mga headline na hindi ko raw pinapahiram si Mithi at siya raw ang bumubuhay sa aming dalawa… Nakaka-offend sa part ko ‘yun, kasi nagtatrabaho rin ako,” she said.

Trina also wanted Carlo not to introduce Mithi to Charlie as she do not want to instill wrong values to her child.

“Ang sa akin lang, kapag kukunin niya si Mithi, gusto ko, si Mithi lang sana. Mamili siya kung kanino niya i-spend ‘yung time niya. Sa daughter niya, sa new girl niya, or sa friends niya. I think Mithi doesn’t deserve na may kahati sa time,” she explained.

“Respect na lang sa akin, na huwag munang ipakilala si Mithi sa mga panibagong partner. Kasi ayaw ko ring i-instill sa utak ng anak ko, sa values niya, na okay lang magpapalit-palit ng partner. If ever man dumating ‘yung panahon na may papakasalan na siya, siguro ‘yun kailangan na namin magkita kita,” she added.

Trina Candaza went viral on social media after she shared a mysterious message amid the secret wedding between her former partner, Carlo Aquino, and actress Charlie Dizon.

Through her Instagram, Trina posted a photo of a blank wall, which sparked the curiosity of the netizens.

According to Dictionary.com, a blank wall symbolizes an impassable barricade or obstacle, a situation where further progress is impossible.

Her caption also showed a lotus emoji, which means purity, rebirth, and strength.

It can be recalled that thousands of people congratulated Carlo and Charlie after their secret wedding was announced on social media.

However, many netizens also sympathized with Trina as she had a child with Carlo before their separation.

“Parang magiging LJ reyes to.May darating na sobrang better para sa kanya,” netizen Irie said.

“Darating ang araw na mag mamahal ka ulit ms trina.. ganun talga minsan may mga bagay na hndi para satin meron namang mga taong pinili tayong saktan para lang sa kaligayahan nila.. alam namin gano k kastrong basta lagi mo lang tandaan kapag kailngan ng ilabas yung bigat ng damdamin umiyak kalang,” netizen Zali remarked.

The two officially broke up in December 2021, and their relationship worsened because of the legal actions filed by Carlo against Trina.

Ogie Alcasid expressed his support for his It’s Showtime co-host Vice Ganda amid the criticism being received by the latter from the netizens after his decision to call out a searchee of EXpecially For You.

In his tweet, Ogie said that Vice’s only intention is to make people happy, which contradicted the accusation from some critics that the comedian was making fun of ordinary people.

“This is long overdue. There is a friend I know who comes to work only with the sole intention of making people happy. This person takes it all—for the team, for the show, and for the madlang pipol. This is why I stand for this friend of mine, imperfect as she is. Love you meme,” he tweeted.

The post quickly went viral on X and gained praise from the fans of Vice.

However, others still wanted Vice to apologize to the said searchee.

“Hope your friend finds that humility to apologize, would not hurt his pocket even a centavo,” netizen Mike remarked.

It can be recalled that the issue started when Vice refused to apologize to the searchee and insisted that what he did during the said episode was inappropriate.

Even a former It’s Showtime member Nikko Natividad couldn’t stop himself from criticizing Vice.

A video of Vice Ganda, which was taken several years ago, went viral again on social media amid the issue being faced by the comedian for calling out a searchee of EXpecially For You for allegedly trying to kiss a participant without asking for consent.

In the video, a contestant of a now-defunct segment of It’s Showtime, Rampabida, was talking to Vice when the comedian suddenly held the contestant’s nape while jokingly attempting to kiss him.

The background music used on the video was the warning made by Vice to EXpecially For You contestant Axel Cruz.

According to the fans who watched the whole episode, Vice’s gesture was part of the comedy skit.

Netizens couldn’t stop themselves from reacting to the video, saying Vice couldn’t practice what he preached.

Actor and television host Paolo Contis was criticized on social media after a statement was wrongly attributed to him by several pages.

During his appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Niño Mulach explained the discrepancy between a womanizer and a chick magnet and insisted that they are different.

“Kapag nambabae ka, kasalanan ‘yon. Kasi sinasadya mong mambabae. Pero kapag ikaw ‘yung [nilalapitan,] mapagbigay ka lang,” the former child actor said.

It’s Showtime ratings noticeably went up amid the issue being faced by Vice Ganda after she publicly called out EXpecially searchee Axel Cruz live on television.

According to NUTAM People Survey, It’s showtime gained popularity on May 31, 2024 during the episode featuring Axel and Christine.

The show gained a rating of 7.4 percent versus the 3.4 percent gained by its number one competitor, Eat Bulaga.

Nikko Natividad’s partner, Cielo Mae Eusebio, admitted the reason why the former Hashtag member decided to remove his post against Vice Ganda.

It can be recalled that Nikko called out his former co-host on It’s Showtime after Vice reprimanded EXpecially For You searchee Axel Cruz on live television.

The issue started when Axel appeared to be approaching one of the segment participants, Christine, for a kiss.

Nikko sympathized with Axel and even said that Vice was known for power-tripping.

Despite becoming viral on social media, Nikko’s post was mysteriously deleted on his page, and some speculated that the actor realized the possible effects of criticizing the influential comedian.

However, Nikko said that he never regretted criticizing Vice and clarified that he only gave friendly advice to the comedian.

Cielo shed light on why Nikko deleted the post, saying someone asked them to remove it.

According to her, she was the one who asked Nikko to delete the post.

“Kung bakit dinelete ang sagot lang diyan dahil pina-delete ko. Yun lang po,” she said. “Di ko na kailangan mag explain bakit ko pinadelete,” 

Some netizens tried to guess why Cielo asked her partner to delete the post, saying she was also worried that the issue could affect Nikko’s projects.

Talent manager Annabelle Rama gave a clue on who the “Chuckie” she was referring to in her previous post is.

In her Facebook post, Annabelle shared a post while she was watching the movie “Chuckie” and included a caption, giving a clue who the individual she was being compared to the said character.

“Ito si Chucky doll……E,” said Annabelle.

Some netizens quickly tried to guess the said individual, and most of them believed that Annabelle was referring to Esther Lahbati, the mother-in-law of her son, Richard Gutierrez.

It can be recalled that Esther reacted to some posts that addressed the Gutierrez family amid the separation issue between her daughter, Sarah Lahbati, and Richard.

She also reacted to the criticism addressed to Richard’s rumored girlfriend, Barbie Imperial.

Meanwhile, Annabelle was speculated to be in favor of Barbie based on her previous post.

Former Hashtag member Nikko Natividad said that he was not regretful for criticizing Vice Ganda on social media after the comedian called out an EXpecially For You searchee on national television.

It can be recalled that Nikko, along with Nico Locco, was one of the celebrities who criticized Vice and his alleged style of embarrassing people as a form of comedy.

While Nikko had already deleted his post, he clarified that he didn’t regret criticizing his former co-host, saying that he would never feel sorry about defending people.

“For the last time na magsasalita ako tungkol sa nakaraan kong post. Unang una sa lahat hindi ako nagsisisi na nagsalita ako ng sarili kong saloobin. Hindi ako nagsisisi na ipagtanggol ang ibang tao. Nababasa ko mga komento nyo saken at ang gusto nyo mawalan ako ng trabaho dahil lang sa naglabas ako ng sarili kong saloobin. (Na alam ko na posibleng mangyari),” Nikko wrote.

“Kung ikekwento ko ba pinagdaanan at iniyak ko sakanila magbabago ba tingin nyo sakin? Pero hindi naman yun ang intensyon ko na kumuha ng simpatya o makisali lang sa gulo. Naglabas ako ng saloobin ko dahil baka sakaling makatulong na may maayos o mabago na sitwasyon,” he added.

According to him, he only wanted to give advice to Vice because he considered him as a friend.

“Kasi ganun naman ang pamilya at kaibigan. Tatapikin ka kapag alam mong sumosobra o medyo nagkakamali na.Hindi po ako naghahanap ng kaaway, ang pagkakabura po ng post ko ay management decision, tunay at bukas sa isip at puso ko ang sinabi ko, payapa ang aking kalooban.” he stated.

However, several fans of Vice questioned Nikko’s real intention of publicly criticizing the comedian and said that he could have settled things privately if he had wanted to.
