In a Facebook post, a netizen published the memorandum of agreement prepared by St. Nicholas of Tolentino Parish in the municipality of Bais for couples who wanted to marry at their church.

In the said MOA, the couple was informed about the possible consequences if they arrived late at their wedding ceremony schedule.

If the couple were late for 15 minutes, they would not allow the marching of the bridal entourage; if they were late by 30 minutes, there would be no more bridal procession and songs during the mass; and if the couple arrived 45 minutes late, the priest would be forced only to perform marriage rites.

It can be recalled that a wedding in Amlan went viral on social media after a couple complained about how the priest started the wedding mass without waiting for the bride to reach the altar.

In their defense, the parish said that the couple arrived an hour late during the wedding, which prompted them to rush the ceremony.

It was found that the cause of the miscommunication between the Parish and the couple was the information relied on by one of the bride and groom’s godmothers, who said that their wedding had been rescheduled.

However, the Parish clarified that they didn’t reschedule the wedding and the said Godmother didn’t double-check the information.
