Singer-actress and Philippine Air Force (PAF) reservist Geneva Cruz couldn’t stop reminding Miss Universe Philippines 2023, Michelle Dee, to wear their uniform properly.

In her post, Geneva said that while she was proud that Michelle decided to become a reservist, she criticized the beauty queen’s way of wearing the PAF uniform.

“I am proud of what she has accomplished for the (Philippine Flag Emoji), but it is our responsibility as reservists to wear and carry our uniforms properly as a sign of respect to the force, our nation, and our military men and women, most especially our active officers,” she said

“Represent the country and the Philippine Air Force properly. Kaya hindi sineseryoso ang mga reservists eh. This is lousy, not snappy.” she added.

Several netizens also agreed with what Geneva said, saying that it was important for every reservist to properly wear their uniform as a sign of respect.

As of writing, Michelle has yet to give any response to Geneva’s reminder.

Geneva joined the reservist force this year, saying she wanted to help the country.

“I joined the reservist because I want to help, without entering politics. We go on medical missions, join the manpower and assist in many places around the Philippines and encourage more Filipinos,” she said.

Talent manager and showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz couldn’t hide his disappointment after Liza Soberano’s father, John Sober, slammed him on social media.

On December 2, John released several Facebook posts against Ogie and Cristy Fermin and accused them of trying to interfere with other people’s lives.

“Cristy Fermin p* mo at p* nyong lahat ng nakikilam sa may buhay ng buhay.. lalo na ikaw OG (Ogie).. mabait pa anak ko ganyan mag salita.. bukas my live ako gagawin or sasabihin about you.. You all woke up the BEAST,” said John.

“OG D… bumalik ka na lang ng pag tinda ng turon para yang bunganga mo hindi putak ng putak about other people’s business.. ang isigaw mo na lang is TURON LUMPIA.. diba jan ka rin nag umpisa?” he added.

Ogie, who’s Liza’s former talent manager, made his response to John, saying that he was not even talking about the actress anymore.

“Ang pinag-uusapan na ngayon e, yung pagtatapos ng relasyon ng KathNiel, kaya nasaan ka doon, nasaan yung anak mo don?” said Ogie.

The talent manager also reminded John that Liza was also nothing when he started to manage her.

“Yung [sinabi mong] bumalik na lang ako sa pagtitinda ng turon, e, darling, kung nanatili akong nagtinda ng turon noong araw, wala sa kinalalagyan niya ngayon yang si Liza. Hindi mo ba na-realize yon, Daddy? Ang dali-dali mo namang makalimot. Ano, mag-iisa-isahan pa tayo kung ano ang nagawa nating kabayanihan sa isa’t isa?” he stated.

“Unang-una, Daddy, gusto ko kayong ibalik sa nakaraan, sinasabing naghihirap kayo, e, wala rin naman kayo noong araw. Si Liza lang talaga ang nagtaguyod sa inyo,” he added.

Sarah Lahbati’s father, Ahbel Lahbati, went viral on social media after he posted a photo with a caption, which captured the attention of the netizens.

Last Saturday, Mr. Lahbati shared a photo with his family, including Sarah, and also included a message about barking dogs.

“Enjoying every moment with family. The convoy keeps going and don’t mind dogs barking,” he said.

Netizens couldn’t stop asking if Mr. Lahbati was taking a swipe against Sarah’s mother-in-law, Annabelle Rama, who just recently talked about the rumored separation between her son, Richard Gutierrez, and the actress.

Annabelle talked about Sarah’s spending-spree as a housewife while Richard worked hard.

It can be recalled that Annabelle also took a swipe against Sarah’s parents, saying that the issue between the celebrity couple started when Mr. Lahbati and his wife, Esther, returned to the Philippines.

“‘Wag n’yong idiin sa akin ang nangyayari ngayon. Ako ang walang alam sa nangyari, ang bilis. Nagulat na lang ako biglang dumating ang nanay at tatay galing ibang bansa. Doon na nag-umpisa ang malaking gulo. ‘Wag n’yo ibagsak sa akin ang sisi,” said Annabelle.

“Kung hindi ako pinagbawalan ng lawyer na magsalita. Mag-enjoy sana ang buong mundo sa sasabihin [kong] kwento. Gigil na gigil na akong isiwalat ang katotohanan sa pangyayari pero wala akong magawa. Abangan ang susunod na kabanata,” she added.

Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. was not planning to change the title of their GMA noontime show despite the decision made by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).

It can be recalled that on November 5, IPOPHL removed the trademark ownership of TAPE Inc. over the Eat Bulaga title and logo and quickly rejected the company’s appeal.

According to TAPE’s lawyer, Atty. Maggie Garduque, they would still exhaust all legal options before deciding the fate of the Kapuso noontime show’s title.

Garduque said that it would be considered ‘moot and academic’ if they finally gave up the title Eat Bulaga without even exploring other legal options.

“As confirmed by the statement released by IPO today, TAPE has a period of 15 days to appeal the decision of the adjudication officer to the Director of the BLA-IPO. Then, appealed decisions may still be appealed to the Director General of IPO within 30 days,” Garduque said.

Even Eat Bulaga host Paolo Contis believed that the legal battle between TAPE Inc. and TVJ Production was still far from over.

“Mga Kapuso, mahaba pa po ang laban. Ibig sabihin, legally, wala pang final. Okay?” he said.

Meanwhile, TVJ’s camp was confident that they would win all their complaints against TAPE Inc.

Annabelle Rama took a swipe against Sarah Lahbati’s parents, Abdel and Esther Lahbati.

On December 9, 2023, Annabelle said that Sarah’s parents started the ruckus on the relationship between the latter and Richard Gutierrez.

She insisted that she must not be blamed for what was currently happening between the celebrity couple.

“‘Wag n’yong idiin sa akin ang nangyayari ngayon. Ako ang walang alam sa nangyari, ang bilis. Nagulat na lang ako biglang dumating ang nanay at tatay galing ibang bansa. Doon na nag-umpisa ang malaking gulo. ‘Wag n’yo ibagsak sa akin ang sisi,” said Annabelle.

Annabelle even disclosed that her lawyer asked her to avoid disclosing any information about Richard and Sarah’s current state.

“Kung hindi ako pinagbawalan ng lawyer na magsalita. Mag-enjoy sana ang buong mundo sa sasabihin [kong] kwento. Gigil na gigil na akong isiwalat ang katotohanan sa pangyayari pero wala akong magawa. Abangan ang susunod na kabanata,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. Lahbati have yet to give any response to Annabelle’s statement.

It can be recalled that Annabelle revealed that Richard was already living with her again, a sign that there was a rift between the actor and Sarah.

However, all the camps involved still kept mum on the issue.

Talent manager Annabelle Rama criticized the misleading information surrounding her interview with ABS-CBN.

In her Facebook post, Annabelle clarified that it was never her willingness to see her son and daughter-in-law part ways because it would affect her grandchildren.

“Mga Chismosang Marites!! Tigilan nyo na ang gumawa ng maling kwento. Lahat ng lumabas sa sosyal media is all fake news. Wag nyo ng dagdagan ang mga maling balita malalaman nyo rin ang katotohanan in due time. Baka ma shock kayo at hindi na ako ang lalabas na kontrabida. Malalaman niyo kung sino ang walang hiya na kontrabida. Mali ang bentang nyo sakin.

“Sino ba ang may gustong maghiwalay sila. Alo ba? Or ang mag ina. Wag nyong idiin sa akin ang nangyayari ngayon,” she stated.

It can be recalled that Annabelle took a swipe against Sarah during an interview with ABS-CBN, saying that Sarah was spending money while Richard was working hard.

“Si Richard nasa bahay ko ngayon one month na. Pero unti-unti siyang lumilipat ng gamit sa Alabang. Lilipat na siya mga siguro after Christmas,” she disclsoed.

“Lahat kami pupunta ng Japan. Christmas hanggang January 3. Sama-sama buong pamilya ko, minus one,” she added.

As of writing, the celebrity couple kept mum on the issue.

Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. failed to secure a successful appeal to the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) over the trademark ownership of the Eat Bulaga title.

According to TVJ Productions Chairman Tito Sotto, TAPE’s appeal was quickly dismissed, which means that the government officially recognized TVJ as the trademark owner of Eat Bulaga branding.

“Appeal of tape re eat bulaga IPC class 41 dismissed! The People recognized TVJ as Eat Bulaga! Now, GOVT officially recognizes them as such. The others are exponents of sham,” said Sotto.

Several experts believed that the ruling made by IPOPHL would also influence the decision on the copyright infringement complaint filed by TVJ against TAPE before the Marikina Court.

As of writing, TAPE has yet to give any statement about their next legal move after IPOPHL’s rejection.
