Tito Sotto slams critics of lowering age of lawbreaking liability: “Pag may nang g*hasa o p*matay na 13 yrs old ok lang?”

Senate President Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III slammed the critics of the recent action of the Congress to lower the age of Filipinos required to be liable in the bad acts they committed.

From 15 years old, the Congress pushed to lower the age of lawbreaking liability to 9 years old which opposed by the critics of the government.

According to Sotto, the critics of the recent plan of the government should also ask the families of the people who got victimized by teenage lawbreakers.

He also pointed out that even since during former President Manuel Quezon’s time, the age of lawbreaking responsibility was nine years old.

However, Sotto’s proposal is different from the Congress and only pushing to lower it to 12 years old.

“Panahon pa ni Quezon, 9 yrs old na criminal responsibility WHEN ACTING WITH DISCERNMENT. 12 yrs yun bill ko like most countries worldwide. Pag may nang r*pe o pum*tay na 13 yrs old ok lang? Tell that to the parents of d victims.” Sotto said in his tweet.

Sotto also posted some statistics to explain why the government should lower the age of lawbreaking responsibility.

“Minors used as couriers are the least of d problems. It’s the 887 R*pe and M*rder committed by minors in 2017 that those against lowering of age should address. Ano, ganun lang? Many are missing the point.” he said.

He corrected the stats he posted, saying that the 887 cases he mentioned were not included the m*rder cases.

Meanwhile, the Palace said that there’s no problem in both proposals of Congress and Sotto, saying that President Rodrigo Duterte just wanted to reverse the Pangilinan law which according to the chief executive, made the youth worse.

“All he has been saying since the campaign is he wants that lowered. And we will leave that to the lawmakers,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a Palace press briefing.

Broner shows that his face not damaged after Pacquiao fight: “Does it look like I took punishment?”

Adrien Broner one day after his fight against WBA World Welterweight Champion Manny Pacquiao asked his followers on Instagram if his face receive damage from the latter’s fist.

It seems that Broner was still not convinced by his defeat against the Filipino Boxer-Senator and posted a selfie to show that his face didn’t show any sign of damage despite being hit several times by Pacquiao.

“I fought @mannypacquiao tonight….. does it look like I took a punishment?”  Broner said in his Instagram post.

But even his followers on Instagram believed that Broner should stop claiming that he was cheated.

In his next post, Broner stated that he’s still motivated to train and become a champion again.

He added a #StillWinning hashtag to show that he might come back stronger than before.

Broner also showed that despite losing, he’s not scared of his future and still happy to spend his money he got from his fight with Pacquiao.

The 29-year old fighter even asked his followers if they want to gamble with him in Las Vegas.

“I will be a champion again I feel great I’m going back to the gym and until my next fight date I’m going spend some of these M’s,” Broner said.

During the post-fight interview, Broner claimed that he should be the one who won the fight believing that he scored more than his opponent.

“I beat him. Everybody out there knows I beat him. I controlled the fight, he was missing. I hit him clean more times. I beat him,” the 29-year-old fighter said.

“You know I beat that boy. They are trying to get that money with Pacquiao and Floyd,” he added.

However, even the audience at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas was not convinced by the statement of Broner.

Even the interviewer cut short his talk with Broner, believing that the defeated boxer was talking nonsense already.

Gretchen Barreto calls Kris Aquino a “Queen of all Fixers” in open letter against the talk show host

Gretchen Barreto addressed Kris Aquino in her new open letter as a response to the statement of the talk show host’ camp.

In her Instagram, Barreto posted the official statement of Divina Law on her shocking accusation against Kris Aquino.

Divina Law denied the claims of Barreto that Kris Aquino helped a certain Alice Eduardo to lessen the tax that she needs to pay.

“Our client did not intervene for Ms. Eduardo in any pending tax cases,” Divina Law said.

Barreto was not convinced by the statement of Aquino’s camp, calling it an example of a ‘non-denial denial.’

She also called Kriss Aquino a ‘Queen of all Fixers’ for allegedly helping her friend to escape her tax liabilities during the administration of her brother Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Barreto explained that the incident happened during the time of former Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares, who’s currently the accountant of Kris Aquino.

In her open letter, Barreto also revealed that Kris Aquino allegedly called some of her family members to ask for some help in destroying her name.

You can read her whole post below:

“Want to see a classic example of a non-denial denial?

Notice how shrewd and deceptive her divine lawyers are by qualifying that the Queen of All Fixers did not intervene for Aliceinwonderland in any PENDING tax case.

Obviously, the sawsaw tax case happened during Miss Henares’ stint as BIR Commissioner, who also happens to be currently the Queen of All Fixer’s personal accountant.

And what’s this I heard from inside her camp? She called up Claudine to tell my parents that she will file a case against me & put me to jail and asked them for help in destroying me. What is this, a tag team wrestling match? Can’t a “Queen” handle it herself?

At least si Nicko, she said “ipapapatay Kita sa pamilya Ko. With me, she wants “ipapapatay kita sa pamilya MO ?And of course ARTEcaria Queen couldn’t help to look in the mirror and say she was previously a number one taxpayer. But why should we care about that when you helped fix Aliceinwonderland Eduardo hefty amount of taxes? ? ?”

On January 19, Barreto in a live Instagram video revealed that Kris Aquino allegedly helped Eduardo to lessen the taxes she needs to pay.

In exchange for that, the money saved by Eduardo has been used to buy luxury items abroad.

Prominent writer to Pacquiao: “Ang gusto naming laban ay laban sa korapsyon at EJK!”

While most of the Filipinos cheered Senator Manny Pacquiao before his boxing match against Adrien Broner, one prominent writer seems not happy to see the Pinoy champ still prioritizing his sport.

Palanca award-winning writer and Humanitarian activist Ogie Rosa tweeted a message to Senator Manny Pacquiao, saying that he doesn’t like the latter’s ‘fight’ for the Filipino people.

According to him, instead of prioritizing boxing, he should help to address the main issues in his country as a Senator of the Philippines like EJK, corruption, inflation, and poverty.

He even alluded to a certain ‘incompetent’ senator.

“PACQUIAO: Para sa inyo ang laban kong ito! Para sa amin?!? Ang gusto naming laban ay laban sa korupsyon, laban sa EJK, laban sa mataas na presyo ng bilihin, laban sa kahirapan. At higit sa lahat, laban sa absenteeism and incompentence sa senado!” Rosa tweeted.

Pacquiao has been questioned even before by his critics about his ability to become a senator; some also called him incompetent.

The tweet of Rosa received 3.5k reactions from his followers and even shared by OPM artist Jim Paredes.

Paredes received criticisms before after he allegedly celebrated the defeat of Senator Pacquiao against the Australian Boxer Jeff Horn in 2017.

“What a great day!!” Paredes wrote.

Both Rosa and Paredes are both staunch critic of the Duterte administration and using social media to criticize the government and its allies like Senator Pacquiao.

Despite being in old age, Pacquiao was not affected by criticisms threw against him and still willing to continue his career as a boxer despite being elected as a Senator.

Meanwhile, his friends and fans are preparing for a hero’s welcome for the Filipino champ.

Authorities caught businessman for selling clothes for Yolanda victims

A businessman was caught by the members of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) special action unit and Bureau of Customs (BOC) for allegedly selling clothes donated meant for the people affected of Yolanda.

According to the report, the company EcoAuction owned by Francis Yu Lesaca sold the boxes full of clothes meant for the victims of Yolanda in the Visayas as ‘Ukay-ukay.’

The entrapment happened at the warehouse of the company in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Bureau of Customs said that EcoAuction was an accredited company to shred smuggled clothes, however, instead of shredding the items, Lesaca sold it to different people for additional income.

“Nakakalungkot isipin na dapat nakatulong ito sa mga kababayan natin na nangangailangan ng tulong, pero makikita natin na pinagkakitaan nila ito,” A custom official said.

The intelligence report from NBI said that the boxes came from the Bureau of Customs, however, Lesaca denied it and said that it came from Japan.

He also denied that he’s planning to sell the clothes and only wanted to donate it.

Aside from used clothes, the raiding team also uncovered that Lesaca is also selling used tires which are not allowed.

Jover Laurio loses in the libel case she filed against a blogger who called her ‘Ogre Lady’

The Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati finally dismissed the libel complaint filed by ‘Pinoy Ako Blog’ owner Jover Laurio against the influencer Franco Mabanta on January 17, 2019.

According to the resolution approved by Senior Deputy City Prosecutor Emmanuel D. Medina, rejected the motion for reconsideration filed by Laurio after they found that the pieces of evidence showed by the blogger was not enough to prove that Mabanta mocked her appearance.

“A thorough re-evaluation of the matter was made wherein this Office arrived at the same conclusion, that is, the pieces of evidence submitted are insufficient to find probable cause to indict respondent with the offense complained of,” the resolution read.

“As it is, the complainant has not forwarded any significant evidence or alleged errors of fact or law that can otherwise give merit to the motion for reconsideration,” it added.

In several posts, Mabanta called Laurio an “Ogre Lady” and “super ugly”.

Several months after the post of Mabanta, Laurio filed a libel complaint against Mabanta and she’s asking “no less than P500,000” for each incident.

“I have suffered moral shock, public ridicule and humiliation, and serious anxiety. For while Mabanta’s claims were false and untrue, it has also led to several other attacks against me,” Laurio wrote in her complaint against Mabanta.

Meanwhile, several Duterte supporters celebrated on the result of the case.

“So legal ang pagka-panget nya?” Janice Bacani Carandang remarked.

Atty. Ahmed G. Paglinawan shared the copy of the resolution to his followers on Facebook.

Hmmmm… This is an emotional.” Paglinawan captioned.

Laurio is also being criticized right now for allegedly accepting money from private people to promote her articles on social media.

Kris Aquino speaks up amid the alleged leak conversation between her and Nicko Falcis: “File charges against me!”

Talkshow host Kris Aquino finally spoke after an alleged record of her conversation with Nicko Falcis has been circulated on the internet.

Yesterday, several netizens shared the alleged recording between Falcis and Aquino, and it can be heard a lady shouting and having an emotional breakdown.

Amid the issue, Aquino posted an Instagram post addressed to her former Manager challenging him to file a case against her.

“My TRUTH doesn’t scare me. Please, do us all a favor. File charges against me. Unlike you, I’ll woman up and face all of them IMMEDIATELY,” Aquino said.

She also questioned Falcis why the latter is still not filing grave threats against her.

“2 very straightforward questions- Why hasn’t Nicko Falcis filed a case of GRAVE THREATS against me with any prosecutor in October, November, December 2018, or this 1st half of January 2019? 110 DAYS HAVE PASSED. I am ready to face whatever charges and vigorously defend myself in the court of law.” Aquino said.

“2nd question: BAKIT HANGGANG NGAYON AYAW SAGUTIN KUNG NASAAN ANG ₱40 MILLION INVESTMENT NA GALING SA TRUST FUND NG MGA ANAK KO?” she added.

Some netizens pointed out that the second question of Aquino was already answered by an article written by Inquirer on January 13 explaining where the P40-M of the talk show host went.

“Eloi Sy, one of Aquino’s lawyers, confirmed Lifestyle’s source’s statement that Aquino’s money had been invested by Falcis in Rocks PC Co., Ltd. (Potato Corner Thailand), which accounts for 10 percent shares in that company.” the article reads.

Jesus Falcis, brother of Nicko also responded to Aquino’s question about the P40-M allegedly missing.

“Ikaw na ang umamin at ang lawyers mo na intact yung 40million pesos mo. Thai partners validate your shares kamo di ba? Eh kulang pa nga yung binayad, incomplete purchase mo. Hindi trustee ang Kuya ko kung hindi seller.” Falcis said.

President Rodrigo slams the ‘Yellows’: “Sinusuka na kayo ng tao!”

As the 2019 senatorial election is becoming near, President Rodrigo Duterte mocked the allies of the Liberal party and the other members of the opposition for their constant criticisms against his administration.

During his speech, Duterte said that the people already distrusted the so-called ‘Yellows’ but they’re still making efforts to destroy the reputation of his governance.

“Iyong yellow hindi na kayo nadala… Sinusuka kayo ng mga tao. Ako… Tinat** ko na kayo, marami pa kayong daldal. Totoo,” Duterte said.

Before criticizing the yellows, Duterte also made fun of CPP Founder Joma Sison’s claimed that the chief executive was terribly ill.

“Hindi ako nakapaglagay kasi ayaw ko ‘pag nag — magtulo na. May mantika — eh ‘di nasunog. Nung nakita namin ni Jo, ni Sison, ‘Ah si Duterte dyng kasi…’ Ang mga tao kasi na may kidney, umiitiim ito. Iyang nag-a-ano na, dialysis. Itim na ang ano,” he said.

“Akala nila, sira na ang kidney ko kasi may c*ncer ko. Meron na daw ‘yun tumutubo ng… Wala namang tumutubo dito sa harap — sa likod. Sa harap meron. Totoo. Tapos… Dito sa p*** ko may dugo na raw. Minsan pag-uwi ko, tinitingnan ko. But kung minsan dito pag-ihi ko, yellow man,” Duterte added.

President Duterte repeatedly denied the claims of the opposition that he’s already in bad shape to lead the country.

However, he disclosed some of his health problems during some of his speeches.

Alleged actual phone call recording between Kris Aquino and Nicko Falcis circulates on internet

The alleged record of the phone call between talk show host Kris Aquino and her former Manager Nicko Falcis has been leaked on the internet.

Several weeks ago, the camp of Falcis released a transcript claiming that Aquino told her that her family would do something terrible to him once he tried to go back to the country.

The recording which heard by thousands of netizens as of now has been uploaded by several youtube channels and Facebook page.

In the recording, it can be heard a lady shouting at Falcis and probably having a breakdown.

What the lady said was the same to the transcript that Falcis revealed to the press.

It can also be heard Falcis begging to the lady, however, the latter continued her shouting.

The lady also said that when she got her diagnosis in Singapore, she would tell the Philippines about her current condition.

She also bragged that the whole Filipinos trusted her.

This is what the transcript gave by Falcis in PEP.ph on January 4:

NMF: Madam… hello

KCA: “You f***ing *sshole Nicko, okay. NO!”

NMF: Madam…

KCA: “HWAG ka nang bumalik sa Pilipinas, nadinig mo, NO, hwag ka, PAPAP*TAY KA NG PAMILYA KO, you know what, you know what’s wrong with me??? MAY LUPUS AKO, NICKO!!!” (Shouting)

NMF: Oh My God…Madam… Madam… (Crying)

KCA: “That’s why… GUSTO MONG BUMALIK SA PILIPINAS? DARE TO STEP IN THIS COUNTRY, AND YOU WILL BE D**D.” (Shouting).”

The recording got different reactions from the netizens and bloggers who were shocked after they heard the audio.

“Matinding leak ang kinakaharap ni Kris ngayon at nakakaloka ang alleged leaked audio ng kanyang power tripping.” Sass Rogando said in her post.

However, the blogger also warned her followers not to share the leaked recording, explaining that they might violate the Republic Act No. 4200 also known as ‘Anti wiretapping’ law.

Only Aquino and Falcis could verify if the recording is real or not.

Surrendered member of NPA confirm that some UP, PUP students being recruited to rebel against gov

A surrendered rebel claimed that several students from the University of the Philippines (UP) and Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) were recruited to join the New People’s Army (NPA), sometimes by using force.

In a media briefing, the rebel, who’s part of the twenty members of NPA surrendered to the government narrated on how the students from UP and PUP were being recruited by the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) to revolt.

Ang mga estudyante na sinasabi nag-aaral sa UP, nakikipamuhay sila sa amin, nagtatanong kung maginhawa ‘yung aming ginagawa o mahirap,” Ka Ruben told the press.

According to him, some students were being sent in Barangay San Antonio, Kalayaan, Laguna to ask them about their current condition there. In exchange, the people there would tell their problems about the government and tried to convince them to join the rebel group.

If the student refused to join, they’re sometimes using force to convince them from not returning to the city and to their families.

Dinadaan nila sa dahas para matakot ‘yung tao…ginagawa nila takutin hindi binabalik ‘yung ibang tao sa bayan,” he described.

Police Regional Director of CALABARZON C/Supt. Edward Carranza called the community visiting of the students as “immersing” and described it as a voluntary practice to visit poor communities located in remote areas.

“‘Yung word na ginagamit dito is ‘immersing’ whether they will stay there or what, pero it’s not within the curriculum. It’s voluntary on the part of the students and we have already historical data kung sino ‘yung mga member ng CPP who were former students in those universities,” he said.

He also bared the details on how the students being forced to join NPA.

“Nag-iimmerse sila doon then later on, the threat is if they go back dito sa urban area may threat na sinasabi ng NPA na target na kayo ng military,” Carranza said.

PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde also said that ‘immersing’ is part of the recruiting tactics of the NPA.

“Ito ‘yung mga sinasabi na ‘immersion’ na kunwari si ganito pupunta doon. Tapos malalason na ‘yung pag-iisip tapos tatakutin na hindi pwedeng bumaba so mapipilitan itong mga estudyante to stay there,” Albayalde said.

Even before, several students of UP and PUP were accused of being aligned with the rebels.
