Celebrity-turned-politician Angelika Dela Cruz has a message to the critics of the government amid the enhanced community quarantine.
In an Instagram post, Dela Cruz, who’s the current barangay captain of Barangay Longos in Malabon asked the people who kept blabbering to shut their mouths.
“In this time of crisis, if you cannot help, just quarantine your mouth!” Dela Cruz said.
“Kung hindi makakatulong sa mga tao ang sasabihin natin please…” she added.
Dela Cruz said the same words used by Senator Christopher “Bong” Go to the critics of the government.
Several celebrities like Lovie Poe and Kakai Bautista commented on the post of Dela Cruz who’s known to be a supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte since 2016.
Netizen @tj_28_ commented to Dela Cruz’s post, who said that too much freedom of expression could put people to their worst form.
Like other public officials, Dela Cruz used social media to update her constituents about the current happenings in their barangay.
For the second time, Ruby ‘Mystica’ Villanueva apologized to President Rodrigo Duterte after she criticized the chief executive several times this month and called for its ouster.
On her latest social media vlog, Villanueva said that she now understood the President’s decision to warn the leftist groups not to go out of their houses.
In her past video, Villanueva criticized Duterte’s order to give harsh punishments to the people who would plan to violate the enhanced community quarantine rules.
“Na realize ko na kulang talaga, kung ako man ay nakapag mura, I repeated again, dahil sa parang ako rin ay isang anak ng isang ama, kasi from the start ay tinuring ko na rin siyang ama, isa rin ako sa mga sumuporta sa kanya,” Villanueva said.
According to her, one of the reasons why she temporarily withdrew her support to the President is when she got informed that the social amelioration program launched by the government would only benefit the ‘poorest of the poor’.
Mystica said that she’s only trying to voice out her frustrations against the recent actions of the government.
Last month, Mystica said that she would take back her apology to Duterte and accused the President of never treating the people equally.
“Right now ay binabawi ko na apology because I don’t think anything that making sense right now, na talagang ibinibigay niyang parusa sa amin kung sino pa mga taong kami mismo ay walang ginawa kundi magbayad ng taxes, but right now hindi kami iprioritize,” she said.
“I’m challenging the President na siya ang i home quarantine, wag siyang palabasin at wag siyang bigyan ng pagkain at inumin, baka ilang araw lang ay hindi na siya mabubuhay, katulad ng mga ginagawa niya sa mga taong katulad namin,” she added.
The sister of Maris Racal revealed that they’re preparing to file charges against the critics of the actress.
Netizen Dodz Gacuya shared a screenshot from Maris’ sister, Kristine Bernadette Racal thanking their friends for their support to the actress who received criticisms after she posted several tweets against the government.
According to Racal, she’s not going to ignore the criticisms of the netizens against her little sister.
“First of all, thank you to everyone who spared a little time to console us. We’re okay. She’s okay. As an Ate, I can’t let this pass so I’m triggered,” Racal said.
She then urged the people to screenshot ‘below the belt’ comments against the actress so they could store it for their future legal actions.
“Feel free to take screenshots and send it to me. I might not reply because I’m flooded with messages but thank you. We’re taking legal actions on this. Apparently, spreading rumors can really put you in trouble. Good luck guys!” she said.
A few days ago, Maris joined the other celebrities on criticizing the government and President Rodrigo Duterte after the chief executive warned the leftist groups to stop doing demonstrations amid the enhanced community quarantine.
“Positive na sukang suka na sa government. good people are outnumbered,” the actress tweeted.

Ruby Villanueva more popularly known as ‘Mystica’ couldn’t control her emotions anymore as she breaks down while criticizing the government for allegedly disregarding the poor amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ)
Mystica in a seven-minute video slammed her critics who called her insane for criticizing President Duterte and his policies amid the COVID-19 crisis.
She also asked why the government couldn’t understand that some people were convinced to join rallies despite the ECQ because they’re hungry and desperate already.
The former actress started to shout and cry while talking about her frustrations.
“Binigyan kayo ng trabaho, pero bakit hindi niyo magampanan ng tama? At bakit pa kayo binoto ng mga tao kung kayo mismo ang dahilan kung bakit sila magugutom! What is causing them to go them para mag rally napakasimple, gutom sila, hindi niyo ba naiintindihan yun?” Mystica who’s also known for sharing ‘mukbang’ videos on her social media page said.
“Ano ba ang pinaglalaban ko dito? Bakit ako nagmumura kasi gutom sila, hindi niyo ba naiintindihan yon? Ngayon kung sasabihin niyo na ako ay baliw, ngayon niyo ipakita talaga na kahit papaano pag ginawa ninyo ang sinasabi ng isang baliw yun mismo makakapag save sa buhay niyo, ng mga Pilipino, kahit na pinagtatawanan niyo ko,” she added.
Mystica also criticized the remarks of the President against the leftist groups who are planning to organize rallies amid the ECQ.
“Gusto lang nilang makakain, gusto nilang ma survive, gusto pa nilang mabuhay,” she said.
According to her, the problem being faced by the country is only simple and they’re not required to severely punish the ECQ violators.
“Ang problema nagugutom, anong solusyon, pagkain,” she said.
Despite the emotion showed by Mystica to her video, most of the netizens who watched her didn’t give their sympathy to the actress.
They explained that the actress should understand that the Philippines is not only the country currently experiencing a crisis.
“Hoy Split Queen, Hindi lang sa pinas Ang nagugutom. All over the world are Lockdown kaya maraming nagugutom Hindi lang dyan sa pinas. Kaya nga may ayoda from the government. Don’t blame the president,” netizen Mel Campton said.
“Hindi kasi ang respiratory organ ang tinira ng covid-19 dito sa babaeng laos na ito. Exceptional ang case nya kasi utak ang tinira kaya nagkaganyan siya. Nababahala na yan kasi hindi na makasplit kasi matanda na eh brittle na ang bones,” Raul Chicote remarked.
Mystica also received criticisms in the past after she called President Duterte a man with ‘no common sense’ and never treats his people equally.
She also expressed her support to Vice President Leni Robredo.
GMA journalist Arnold Clavio made a shocking claim on his Instagram page, mentioning that one hospital in Metro Manila was having problems handling the cadavers of COVID-19 victims.
Clavio said that he got the information from one of the frontliners working in the said hospital.
According to his post, cadavers were just left in the hallway of the hospital, and some of their facilities were crowded with COVID-19 patients.
The journalist said that ten people are losing their lives inside the said hospital every day.
However, the source of his information claimed that the said medical institution didn’t report the accurate data anymore.
Clavio then asked the Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III why they’re not counting the victims of COVID-19 anymore.
Maraming salamat po,” he added.
In his second post, Clavio claimed that his Facebook account was disabled after his claims have gone viral on social media.
The journalist shared some of the social media conversations of some alleged frontliners to show that he’s not sharing ‘fake news’.
Lately, the hospital being mentioned by Clavio was revealed to be the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health denied that there’s an order to stop the counting of people losing their lives due to COVID-19.
They also said that they’re launching an investigation about the issue.
East Avenue also denied the rumors that DOH ordered them to stop the census of COVID-19 victims.
A resident of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) writes an open letter to the people living in other parts of Luzon who are affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Netizen Yloiv Satnalac posted several photos taken in Baguio City amid the ECQ to show to the other social media users how the Igorots are strictly following the orders from the government without complaining.
According to Satnalac’s post, Igorots living in CAR doesn’t have politicians who could provide enough relief goods for them or generous celebrity that may help them amid the ECQ.
Satnalac said that despite the help they’re receiving were not as big as the other provinces being obtained, they chose not to criticize the government or wish something bad to the President.
She said that they’re contented with what they’re receiving from the government.
Here’s what she wrote:
We only have our Prayers na sana panatilihin kaming safe araw2. Pero wala kayong narinig sa amin na pagbitiwin at ipanalangin na mamatay si PRRD. Hindi niyo narinig na hinanap nmin ang 275Billion na yan. Walang Frontliners dito samin na binabastos at sinasaktan. We are grateful sa konting tulong na ntatanggap.. Mabigyan man ng ayuda o hindi patuloy kaming nagpapasalamat. Magkaisa,Magtulungan. Yun yung nararapat. Nagugutom rin kami pero hindi namin minsan naisip na isisi yun sa pamahalaan. Puro kayo putak!”
The post of Satnlac already reached 1,100 shares as of writing.
Baguio, the city where Satnalac currently lives was being admired by the netizens after they had not recorded a new COVID-19 case for 13 days.
The Mayor of the said city, Benjamin Magalong revealed that their secret to their success in controlling the virus from spreading is transparency, mass testing, and effective contact tracing.
In Baguio, they’re revealing the names of the COVID positive patients to ease contact tracing.
A transwoman attempted to be the next Gretchen Diez as she broadcasted her argument with the law enforcers who caught her amid curfew hours via Facebook live.
Gretchen Diez became famous on social media because of her live video while having a debate with the authorities about her rights to use a female restroom.
On Thursday, Martin David Antonio, also known as ‘Maria’ to her friends, was caught amid the enhanced community quarantine being implemented by the government.
Instead of cooperating with the authorities, Antonio opened her Facebook application and started a Livestream to show the faces of the authorities who tried to hold her for violating quarantine rules.
Antonio said that they’re already going home when they were caught by the authorities.
She even dared the law enforcers not to touch her.
“Subukan niyo akong hawakan, ayan nakikita niyo hindi kami lasing, ipapakita ko sa inyo ang live ko,” Antonio told the authorities.
“Bakit ninyo ako pipigilan eh nasa katwiran po ako? Sir nasa katwiran po ako, hindi po ako lasing, meron po akong face mask, meron po akong quarantine pass,” she added.
However, in the video posted by the law enforcers who caught Antonio, the latter was not seen wearing any face mask.
Antonio even talked to a certain SPO4 Mercedita Latosa asking the alleged cop about her rights.
The transwoman also claimed that Latosa told her that she’s allowed to go home and the law enforcers were wrong for holding her.
“Hindi po ako sasama, yes po nasa tama po ako,” Antonio said while talking to SPO4 Latosa.
At one point in the video, Antonio even told the authorities that she doesn’t care about them.
“Wala akong pakialam sayo kung sino ka,” Antonio said.
In the end, Antonio was still brought to the nearest police station and face charges due to disobedience to authority and unjust vexation.
Netizens also criticized Antonio for not cooperating with the authorities.
They also asked the Philippine National Police (PNP) to verify if a certain SPO4 Latosa was really connected to the transwoman.
Ethel Booba ‘@IamEthylGabison’ became one of the most popular pages on Twitter and the tweets of the said account were featured in several news reports.
However, the actress and comedian Ethel Booba who previously thought to be the owner of @IamEthylGabison disowned the said Twitter page, saying that her name was just being used by the handlers of the account.
Booba made the revelation on her Instagram and Youtube page yesterday, urging the netizens who became a fan of the comedian because of her ‘witty’ tweets to unfollow the said Twitter page.
The comedian denounced the tweets of @IamEthylGabison, saying the handlers of the said page are making fun of the crisis being faced by the country.
She also planned to file charges against the owners of the page.
“Profited yan ang sinasabi ko, di kayo ang niloko ng fake account na yan pati ako ginagamit,” Booba commented on Youtube.
“Wala ako pinagkakitaan kahit sino sa inyo sumobra na lang ang panggamit niya pati current situation na meron tayo ginagawa niyang biro at ako ang nadadamay sue if you want thats what im gonna do pagkatapos ng quarantine ipapahanap ko kung sino man yang taong gumagamit sa name ko,” she added.
@IamEthylGabison was active on Twitter for eight years and most of the netizens believed that the said page made Booba popular again.
Showtime Online even featured Booba last year to react to the ‘witty’ tweets of @IamEthylGabison.
Several netizens on Twitter expressed their thoughts on the issue of Ethel Booba.
Some of them even blamed the government and accusing them of trying to silence the comedian.
“Good morning sa mga bagong gising d’yan. Ethel Booba is being threatened by the Duterte Admin by making her disown her famous Twitter acount na anti-govt. You can silence her, but never her fans,” netizen @ronazaeboo said.

Another Twitter user also insisted that Ethel Booba is aware of the said page.
“Twitter of Ethel Booba is definitely not fake – she has personally promoted it, shares life events on it & she even has a book deal w her curated tweets. Even if she did have content writers/admins (most celebs do), she wouldn’t have to completely denounce & delete it. Very odd,” @austinedal1 tweeted.

Three days ago, @IamEthylGabison pokes fun with Senator Ronald Dela Rosa who accused of being missing-in-action amid the enhanced community quarantine being implemented by the government.
“Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. Charot!” the Twitter page’s commented to a news report about Sen. Dela Rosa.
As of writing @IamEthylGabison twitter page was deleted already.
An alleged beneficiary of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) was caught playing a popular gambling game in the Philippines amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) being imposed by the government in Metro Manila.
The video uploader, netizen Joyce Mance who works at the City Government of Biñan, Laguna, confronted an old lady who has caught playing ‘tong-its’ together with her friends, despite the ban of the government in any types of gambling amid the ECQ.
It can be shown that the lady and her friends are not practicing social distancing.
Mance accused the lady of being angry with the government while at the same time she’s also violating the ECQ rules.
The netizen also recognized the lady as a beneficiary of 4Ps and accused her of pawning her ATM card to sustain her gambling needs.
“Galit na Galit kayo sa Gobyerno tapos pag hinuli kayo nagagalit kayo sa Pangulo ng HOA. Grabe ka nman member k ng 4Ps diba tapos sinasanla nyo Atm at ng to TONG ITS ka,” Mance wrote.
It can be seen that the old lady didn’t stop playing her favorite card game while arguing with Mance.
“Wala akong pakialam,” the lady told Mance.
4Ps aims to end poverty in the country, however, some of its beneficiaries like what you saw in the video posted by Mance are not spending the money they received wisely.
Last February, 6 beneficiaries of 4Ps face court charges after they allegedly used the money they received from the government in illegal gambling activities.
Critics of 4Ps urged the government to stop the said program, explaining that it’s only a waste of public funds as some of its beneficiaries are not using their money correctly.
They also said that there’s favoritism happening in 4Ps, believing that some beneficiaries are using their connections and not really belonged to the poorest of the poor families.
Some of them also fear the people like that woman on the video posted by Mance would also receive financial aid from the government as part of its social amelioration program.
However, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles already clarified that 4Ps beneficiaries are not included to the social amelioration aid.
“Noong ginawa ang calculation na 18 million low income families, hindi na po kasama iyong sa 4Ps kasi nabigyan na po ito ng emergency subsidy [bukod pa sa regular 4Ps cash grant]. Hindi na po sila kasama sa bibigyan ng Social Amelioration Card (SAC) ng LGU,” Nograles said.
Members of urban poor organization Kadamay in Negros Occidental asked the government for additional aid from the social amelioration program.
In a live video posted by GMA reporter Adrian Prietos, it showed the members of Kadamay asking the government for additional aid because the 6,000 pesos per month intended by the government for them may not be sufficient for them.
According to pedicab driver Leonilo, the 6,000 pesos aid was not enough for them and it could only feed them for one week to two weeks.
So he suggested to the government to increase the money intended for them to 10,000 pesos.
He also shared that his family was also complaining already because they’re always eating sardines.
The other older women who also interviewed by Prietos also asked the government to have a generous heart and make the financial aid to 10,000 to 12,000 pesos.
They said that 6,000 pesos might not enough for them because it could only afford to buy fish and rice, but they need to buy other things like coffee.
To save money, they said that they’re just going to eat rice with condiments.
One of the women even said that the aid was not enough because some members of their family are still studying.
However, the reporter reminded the woman that the classes are already suspended for the whole period of the enhanced community quarantine.
The people on the viral video received a tremendous amount of criticisms on social media for being not thankful to the government.
“Please enlighten the minds and hearts of people like them Lord….It’s not solely the government who will feed you. Do your part dear people,” netizen Anna Marie Juanites said.
Some netizens also questioned how the people who got interviewed considered themselves as members of the ‘poorest of the poor’ if 6,000 pesos could only feed them for a week or two.
The government is not yet giving a statement if they’re planning to increase the financial aid.
