Star Cinema executive Mico del Rosario captured the attention of the netizens by his supposed reaction to the revelation of Liza Soberano about her ‘restrictive’ showbiz career in the Philippines.

Liza, who’s now calling herself ‘Hope Soberano,’ said that during her career in the Philippines, no one asked her about her ideas which made her decide to go abroad and have freedom.

“I’ve been in six feature films, over 500 episodes of teleserye, and have only really dabbled into three main genres romance, comedy, and drama. Since I was 16, I had only really worked side by side with one main co-star, with the same production company, rotating around the same three directors. During all those years, I was never really asked for my input, my thoughts, my ideas,” the actress stated.

After Liza’s statement went viral, the well-known production company and film distributor executive made a sarcastic tweet.

“Hiyang hiya naman ako sa statements. parang walang walang naambag sayo at all ah. kayo talagang mga kayo. hahahaha #hilap,” Del Rosario said.

All of Liza’s local movies were made under Star Magic, and all her films estimatedly earned 1.3-B pesos.

Two of her top-grossing movies, ‘My Ex and Whys’ and ‘Alone Together’ earned around 300-400 million pesos.

Meanwhile, some netizens defended Liza from Del Rosario’s tweet.

“Kaya niyo po bang tignan si Liza derecho sa mata at sabihin sa kanya na naging FAIR kayo sa kanya and or at one point eh ipinaglaban niyo siya? Another genuine question po.” netizen @tootsie24roll said.

Actor Romnick Sarmenta made a tweet following the statement of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos during the celebration of the 37th anniversary of EDSA on February 25.

It can be recalled that Marcos Jr. offered reconciliation to his critics for a better tomorrow.

“I once again offer my hand of reconciliation to those with different political persuasions to come together as one in forging a better society — one that will pursue progress and peace and a better life for all Filipinos,” said Marcos Jr.

After Marcos’ statement, Sarmenta said it’s easy to accept the reconciliation offer if they follow such conditions.

“A hand of reconciliation would be easy to receive; if there was full acknowledgement of the the truth of history, reparations were made, if they took accountability, if the victims were recognised and their rights addressed.
Anything less, is simply lip service.” Sarmenta said.

Several fans of Sarmenta praised the actor for his thoughts.

Lubos ang paghingi ng tawad ng dalawang contestant ng kilalang gameshow ng noontime show Eat Bulaga na ‘Pinoy Henyo’ dahil sa ginawa nilang pandaraya sa nasabing palaro.

Matatandaan na sa pambihirang pagkakataon ay mayroong naiulat na pandaraya sa Pinoy Henyo sa ilang dekada nitong pamamayagpag sa telebisyon.

Nangyari ang nasabing pandaraya noong Pebrero 14 kung saan ay napansin ng mga netizens na tila sinasabi ng isa sa mga contestant ang ipinapahulang salita na ‘stomach’ kahit na mahigpit itong ipinagbabawal.

Sa nasabing episode ay makikita ang isa sa mga contestant na si Lyka na imbis na ‘oo’ at ‘hindi’ lamang ang sabihin ay tila ginagalaw nito ang kanyang bibig upang masabi sa kanyang ka-tandem na si Ryan ang salitang ipinapahula.

Ito rin ang sinabi ni Ryan at sinabi na hindi niya rin sinasadya na maituro ang salita kay Lyka.

“Hindi po ako aware na nasasabi ko po ‘yung word na ‘yun kasi nate-tense po ako na sana po masabi niya ‘yung pinapahula po sa kanya,” aniya.

Humingi rin ng paumanhin ang dalawa sa management ng Eat Bulaga.

According to some vendors, some places in Quiapo became off-limits because of the tapings held by the production team.

They also asked the LGU of Manila City to hear their complaints about the program.

Meanwhile, talent manager Ogie Diaz urged the Batang Quiapo team to think of a solution to help the affected vendors.

Coco has yet to give a reaction to the complaint of the vendors, but fans were confident that the actor was going to take action to solve the issue.

Several netizens couldn’t hide their dismay over the statements of Liza Soberano, who’s now calling herself ‘Hope.’

It can be recalled that Hope went viral on social media after she released her 14-minute video telling how her life became too restrictive in exchange for the popularity she gained in the Philippines as an actress.

She complained that in her career as an actress in the country, she was only paired with one actor, Enrique Gil, and the people surrounding her didn’t even ask about her ideas.

Some netizens even thought Hope was trying to swipe against her former talent manager, Ogie Diaz, who became an instrument to gain her stardom.

“I’ve sacrificed myself, I’ve sacrificed my freedom, I’ve sacrificed my happiness to present Liza Soberano to the world, and I think I’ve earned the right to finally be me,” she said.

In some comments on social media, netizens called Hope ‘ungrateful’ for her statements against the people who made her life comfortable.

Some netizens also remembered the statement by Liza three years ago that was not contradicting her current account.

A delivery rider couldn’t hide his dismay at a customer who wanted him to do an almost impossible task.

The customer shared his conversation with the delivery rider, who complained because he wanted to transport 500 pieces of egg via motorcycle.

The rider wanted the customer to cancel his order to avoid being penalized by the system.

“Lalamove po.. HIndi po pwede isakay sa motor ang limangdaang itlog. Paki cancel na lang po.” the delivery rider said.

“Kawawa po ang rider eh. Sa sedan nyo po I rebook yan salamat.” he added.

If the customer insisted, the rider was willing to lend his motorcycle.

“Or puntahan nyo na lang po dito sa inorderan po ninyo at kayo na ang magdrtive papahiramin ko po kayo ng motor,” he said.

Fortunately, the customer gladly canceled the order to search for another method to deliver his eggs.

Kapamilya fans were delighted after being informed about the reunion between the hosts of the reality show Pinoy Big Brother.

In the photos shared by Enchong Dee, it can be seen his fellow PBB hosts Bianca Gonzales, Kim Chiu, Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros, and Head of ABS-CBN TV Production and Star Magic Laurenti Dyogi having dinner together.

However, netizens noticed that one of the popular hosts of the show, Toni Gonzaga went missing in the said photo.

Toni became the host of PBB from 2005-2022 so netizens were wondering why Toni, now called the ‘most powerful celebrity in the Philippines,’ was not there.

Some speculated wondering if Toni was not invited or if she received an invitation from her fellow hosts but decided to refuse it.

“Bakit wala yung most powerful celebrity in the country today?” netizen @marsopolo22 said.
