A press conference for a show of GMA network went viral on social media because of their gimmick.

In a social media post, @AltGMA posted a video taken during an event for ‘Hearts On Ice’ where it can be seen that the event organizers added a snow effect during the photo-op of the cast.

To achieve the said effect, the organizers used an electric fan and styrofoam bits to add a snow effect.

However, some netizens made fun of the said gimmick, calling it ‘cheap’.

They pointed out that some food served during the event was wasted because it was already been mixed with styrofoam.

Some netizens also noticed the reaction of some of the casts of the show.

“Ang Cheap ng PRESSCON NG MGA SHOWS ng GMA, low-budget serye wise ba ang TV network ngayon? Anyare?” netizen @ImPaoloMendoza said.

“Sorry pero nahihiya ako para sa mga artista! Ano ba nmn Yung bilhan ng snow machine kaloka! Hahaha,” netizen @arts22332244 commented.

“Nakakaloka ung may pa plastic labo. Magshasharon na agad?” netizen @boynextfloor1 remarked.

Hearts on Ice is a sports romance aired by GMA Network on March 13, 2023, replacing the show Luv Is.

It was led by Ashley Ortega and Xian Lim.

According to AGB Nielsen, the said show ranked #1 in ratings for 11 days straight.

Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon made a joke during the Friday episode of Eat Bulaga on March 31.

In his statement, Joey said something about the ‘last day’ that made the co-host of the longest-running noontime show react funnily.

It can be seen that even Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola acted like they were crying and pleading with Joey.

“Last day na,” Joey said. “Teka hindi pa ako tapos, last day na ng March,” Joey said.

Some netizens guessed that Joey was making fun of the rumors that Eat Bulaga was going to have a rebranding next month.

Joey also previously took a swipe against the issue, saying that he was only laughing at the said reports.

It can be recalled that some news websites published that Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) was set to hold a press conference on April 15 to clarify the issue.

Joey also greeted comedian Vice Ganda with a happy birthday.

Vice was the leading host of Its Showtime, the longtime rival of Eat Bulaga.

Some fans of Vice appreciated the message of Joey who made a joke about Vice in 2015.

Influencer Sassa Gurl made her reaction after being involved in a homily during a Catholic mass.

In her video, Sassa shared the photo taken during the said mass where the Parish priest made a homily about people who chose to follow influencers instead of Saints.

“Instead of living the life of saints we look and imitate: stars and influencersā€Ā the presentation reads.

Popular influencer Cong TV was also included in the said photo shared by the Church.

Sassa made a joke about the said homily, saying that she would not try to argue with the priest who made the said homily.

An old interview of Priscilla Meirelles together with Boy Abunda went viral on social media amid the Brazillian model’s admission that he had a marriage problem with John Estrada.

In 2016, Abunda asked Meirelles how he would scale the faithfulness of her husband who’s known for his playboy image.

“Scale of 1 to 10, how faithful is your husband,” Abunda asked during the Fast Talk segment of his now-defunct show Tonight With Boy Abunda.

“One hundred!” Meirelles answered while laughing.

Netizens gave their opinion of Meirelles’ past statement, saying that the model fully trusted her husband.

In another interview in 2018, Meirelles’ said that she was confident that Estrada would not cheat on her.

A netizen who received criticisms from Barbie Imperial proved that the actress was wrong for belittling his intelligence.

In her social media post, Barbie Imperial told her followers that she would visit a grand opening of a fast-food restaurant in Camalig, Albay.

“Magkita-kita tayo bukas sa Bigg’s Camalig, 1 PM, ah?!”Ā Imperial said in Bikol.

Despite putting a time on her post, netizen Mark Rainier Cavite still asked the actress what time she would arrive.

“Anong oras?” the netizen asked.

“Huwag ka na pumunta kasi b*b* ka, basa-basa din po.”Ā she told the netizen.

As a response, Cavite sent a photo of him to prove that he was not unintelligent like what Imperial was saying to him.

In a photo, he shared his certificate of recognition to prove that he was a student with honors.

“His academic achievement is a manifestation of his diligence, passion for quality and dedication to pursue his education,” the certificate reads.

After the incident, Imperial approached the netizen and apologized to him.

Cavite shared some of the message Imperial sent to him.

Meanwhile, some netizens from Bicol defended Imperial, saying that the word ‘patal’ was only and expression and there’s a possibility that the actress didn’t mean to say anything bad against Cavite.

Priscilla Meirelles admitted that she was facing marital problems with the actor John Estrada.

It can be recalled that Priscilla shared cryptic posts about women entertaining married men that netizens speculated as a hint to her problem with John.

In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep.ph), Priscilla said that she was hoping that her marriage problem with her husband would be solved, however, she admitted that she almost had enough.

ā€œI have been going through a rough time in my marriage for a while already for many reasons. And just like with anyone else, it has been tough. I constantly pray for strength and wisdom and hope for better days ahead but the truth is napuno na ako.ā€Ā she said.

She also shared that someone wanted to break her family, but she refused to name the said individual.

Former Eat Bulaga Dabarkads Kempee de Leon talked about the rumored internal issue between the executives of the longest-running noontime show in the country.

In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Keempee who became one of the hosts of Eat Bulaga in 1989ā€“1997 and 2004ā€“2016 said that it’s normal for some programs to face several issues.

He also said that he has not in a position to comment on the issue.

“Probably, may mga bagay naman na wala namang perpekto, e. May mga bagay-bagay na misunderstanding lang siguro na hindi napapag-usapan. Sana maayos nila, yun lang ang masasabi ko.” he said.

When asked if some of his former colleagues in Eat Bulaga gave an information to him about the issue, Keempee insisted that his hands were off to the issue.

He was only hoping that the problem would be resolved peacefully.

“Wala, e, management lang talaga ang makakapagdesisyon niyan, kung transition man yan o ano man. Sana maayos, kasi 44 years, hindi biro, e. Kumbaga, dun na rin ako nagkaedad. Kinalakihan ko na rin yan at naging parte na rin ako nang ganun katagal.” he said.

It can be recalled that several publications said that the internal issue between the Eat Bulaga executives including its chairman Romeo Jalosjos has not yet been over.

A report from Bilyonaryo.com cited that some creative staff of Eat Bulaga already received their ‘notice to retire’ as part of the rumored rebranding of the show on April 17.

However, all reports were mere speculations until the executives of Eat Bulaga have yet to make any statement on the issue.

A woman who claimed to be a backup singer of the Filipino rock band Aegis has been discovered to be already living in poverty.

Content creator Boy Sardinas TV shared the story of ‘Mace’ who introduced herself as a vocalist and once worked with the famous band behind the songs ‘Luha’ and ‘Basang Basa sa Ulan’.

She even showed her talent in singing to prove that she was telling the truth to her kindhearted visitors.

Because of the video, some relatives of Mace, including her children already made their statement, saying that they wanted to see their mother again.

Some people who also knew the vocalist shared some information about her.

“Si Mase yan. Dating taga s amin. Nasiraan ng bait at ang mga anak niya ngayon eh na sa mga lola nila.” netizen Mariel said.

“Ay hala totoo aegis nga xa hinahanap kupa sa aegis band andun xa sa grupo sayang,” netizen Ella commented.

One of the content creators who posted the video confirmed that they’re already coordinating with the family of Mace.

“Abangan po babalikan ko siya baka bukas kasama ko po ang anak niya na sobrang dina po sila nagkita. Sana nga po matuloy kami bukas,” he said.

As of writing, Aegis has yet to release a statement about their former backup singer.

Model and content creator Chiyo dela Vega revealed her conversation with actor John Estrada’s wife Priscilla Meirelles.

It can be recalled that Priscilla made cryptic posts about a woman who was entertaining a married man that made the netizens speculated that John was possibly talking to another girl.

Several days after she made the said posts, Chiyo revealed several screencaps of her conversation with Priscilla who asked her several questions about her interaction with FPJ’s Batang Quiapo star.

In the said messages, it can be seen that Priscilla was the one who sent Chiyo a message first, introducing herself.

“What kind of business do you have with my husband? Let me introduce myself, I am Priscilla Estrada, wife of John Estrada, in case you don’t know.” Priscilla told Chiyo.

Chiyo then responded to the model, saying that she only met the actor during an event once and denied that they were having a conversation.

However, Priscilla said that she saw Chiyo’s messages to John.

“I came across a Viber conversation between the 2 of you that it is not appropriate. You know he is married right?! That’s how I got your #,” Priscilla said.

“What conversation? I’m pretty sure na hindi po kami nag chat. Hiningi lang po nya contact no. ko because for the event lng daw po. But I swear hindi po kami nag chat since,” Chiyo responded.

Chiyo said that she was aware the actor was married and she has no intent of having an affair with John.

“Aware po ako na he’s married. at Wala po sa intension ko na pumatol sa kanya,” she said.

“What do you call a female that give her number/entertain a married guy? For whatever BS excuse she may came up with!” the model said.

She then told Priscilla to ask her husband and not her.

Before ending their conversation, Priscilla offered Chiyo to meet her and she would bring her husband with her.

“Going to Cebu this April 6, let’s meet. Since you are so friendly. Bringing the whole family including him,” the model said.

As of writing, John has yet to give any response to the issue between him and her wife.

For several days, a cashier working at the convenience store chain Alfamart has gone viral on social media because of her beauty.

It can be recalled that netizens called the staff ‘Alfamart Girl’ who went viral in the Philippines after her photos while wearing a facemask have been featured on several social media pages.

In the said photos, it can be seen that even if she was wearing a mask, many netizens were amazed by her beauty and some of them became more curious about her whole appearance.

On March 25, the popular cashier’s whole face photo circulated on social media, and some of them became fully convinced that she was a beautiful woman.

The cashier has been identified as Ervita Parazika who’s working at Alfamart Indonesia.

Her social media page @przkaa has now 526,000 followers on social media and is also quite famous in her country.

She’s also receiving millions of likes from her followers who were mostly Indonesians.

It’s not yet known if she’s aware of her popularity in the Philippines.
