Actor Aljur Abrenica went viral on social media because of his admission of his mistakes in the past.

In an interview with Toni Gonzaga, Aljur said that the current misconception about him was he’s a womanizer.

“Hindi ako babaero,” Aljur said. “Binibigay ko lahat, pagsusuyo, anything that I can think of that would make her happy ginagawa ko,”

However, he admitted that he also made some mistakes in the past because he’s not yet matured during those times.

He admitted cheating on his former partner in the past and now he’s regretting all his actions.

“Everything that you do, may kapalit. Wala kang takas [sa karma] kahit hindi in the same way na pagbabayaran mo ‘yung ginawa mo, wala ka paring takas,” he said.

Aljur also admitted being heartbroken in the past and even cried many times during a relationship.

“Yeah. Ang sakit. Its so painful, sobrang painful, it breaks you. Naalala ko na parang there’s no life, wala ka ng buhay, hindi ka na magising ng maaga. A part of you dies eh. Yung worth mo, mawawala. It’s just the worst talaga,” he said.

It can be recalled that Aljur received criticism in the past because of his separation from former partner Kylie Padilla.

He has been accused of cheating to Kylie, but Aljur denied it.

Television host and businessman Willie Revillame reportedly sold some of his properties as part of his plan to have a simpler life.

In her online show ‘Showbiz Now Na’, veteran columnist Cristy Fermin together with Wendell Alvarez and Romel Chika discussed the said rumors about Revillame’s decision to sell his belongings, weeks after he received criticisms because of his statement against some people who received help from him.

“Ang una po kasi naming natanggap na kuwento mga ka-tsika ibinebenta na raw po ni Willie Revillame ‘yung mga paintings niya na binili niya ng milyones noon.” Fermin said.

It included the paintings owned by Revillame which cost P45 million.

Fermin also pointed out that it also makes sense if Revillame wanted to sell his car collection.

“Aanhin naman niya iyon kahit pa labing-lima ang kotse niya, isa lang din ang magagamit niya sa bawa’t sakay!  Alangan namang bumusiklat siya para sa dalawang kotse?  Nasa kahabaan siya ng EDSA alangan namang nandito ang isa (kanan), nandito ang isa pa (kaliwa) nakabisaklat siya?  Hindi naman puwede ‘yun,” she said.

They also clarified that Revillame didn’t sell his properties because of financial problems, but he currently wanted to live differently, far from his luxurious life.

“Merong nagkuwento sa akin na ang gusto raw ni Willie ay isang simple na lang na buhay parang ganu’n. Pero alam mo, dumarating kasi sa tao ‘yung ganu’n. Di ba kahit si Sharon Cuneta lagi niyang sinasabi na ‘might as well mabuhay ako ng tahimik na lang?’ she said.

“Tutal nakaipon naman na sila ng pagkalaki-laking salapi. Meron na silang ikabubuhay ng daang taon ika nga natin.

“Saka dumarating sap unto ng aming buhay na gusto naman nating pasayahin an gating sarili. ‘Yung regaluhan ang sarili natin ng isang simple pero masayang buhay. Aanhin mo nga naman ang mga materyal na bagay sa mundo kung hindi ka naman maligaya?”

It can be recalled that despite being rich, Revillame was known for being alone after being separated from his former partners.

However, Fermin believed that the television host wanted to spend more time with his family now.

“Saka si Willie wala na siyang kakailanganin na materyal na bagay, napagdaanan na niyang lahat, siguro nga gusto na niya ng simple na buhay kasama ang kanyang mga anak at apo,” she said.

The columnist also saw no problem with selling his properties because he gained them using his hard work.

A teacher from Imus, Cavite went viral on social media after posting a photo during his second classroom observation (CO) in a school in the said city.

In his Facebook post, Jay-ar Coronel shared some of his photos that gained thousands of reactions and shares from the netizens.

“Done with my 2nd COT #blessedandgrateful #DepEdCALABARZON” he wrote.

Teacher Coronel who’s also working as a model and winner of Mr. Deped Imus received praise from the netizens because of his look.

Some even joked that they wanted to attend the class by the teacher.

“Ang sarap mo sir,” netizen Melai said.

“Sir, wala po akong homework. Can I stay after class? I will make up for it.” netizen Blu commented.

“Hi sir, the design is very yummy,” netizen Janeth remarked.

However, while most netizens praised the teacher, some people working at the Department of Education (DepEd) tried to correct the term used by Coronel.

According to teacher Ana Marie, Coronel should use the term ‘Classroom Observation’ instead of ‘COT’.

“2nd Classroom Observation (CO) ✅ Classroom Observation Tool (COT) was used to rate your performance. Congratulations sir,” she said.

This is what content creator ‘Teacher Nathan’ also said in his post.

“COMMON MISUSED TERMS! ‼️ PLEASE avoid using COT in your post while having your observation or after being observed.

“It should be Classroom Observation (CO) ✅ while Classroom Observation Tool (COT) was used to rate your performance/TL process.  So, “COT done” in your post is ❌” he said.

As of writing, Coronel’s post already received 23,000 shares.

The newly-opened restaurant of motivational speaker Rendon Labador received criticism from the netizens because of its expensive rice.

A customer shared a photo of the menu from Labador’s Episode Bar + Kitchen in Quezon City, showing that the restaurant’s rice costs P100 to P450.

Many netizens couldn’t hide their disappointment at the cost of the rice offered by Labador’s restaurant, which reopened on March 31, 2023.

“Anak ng bubuyog na Jr. presyo ng kanin? 100 pesos? seryoso ka? tapos magtataka ka kung bakit walang tao? Eh, pang 2 kilo ng bigas presyo niyan eh.” a netizen said.

Labador then made an unusual approach to the criticisms that his restaurant received from the netizens.

According to him, he intended to offer expensive rice to ‘motivate’ the people to work harder so they could afford eating at his restaurant.

“MOTIVATIONAL RICE!!! Pilitin mong umangat sa buhay hanggang sa ma afford mo. This is not to discriminate pero ito ay simbolo ng mga taong lumalaban at hindi sumusuko sa buhay. So ilang kanin ang kaya mong bilhin? #StayMotivated,” Labador said.

However, netizens didn’t buy the explanation from Labador and even called the government agencies’ attention to investigate the restaurant’s pricing.

“100 grabe yung rice mo.. Mukha pang malata yang motivational rice mo… Kaya pala nalugi agad ang restobar mo sa mahal ng presyo… Yung standard or target market mo kasi pang milyonaryong tao… Mas maganda pa rin yung kahit maliit ang income na pumapasok sure na ping hirapan at pinag sikapan mo,” netizen Tinces said.

“Hello Rendon! I’m really confused kung ano talaga pinaglalaban mo. I tried to understand you sa “quiapo issue” mo kay Coco dahil concern ka sa mga small businesses doon. Tapos ngayon, you’re trying to justify the P100 per cup of rice by saying na dapat magsumikap para ma afford lang yan. Jusko!” netizen Shawny commented.

Presidential Adviser for Creative Communications Paul Soriano is in hot water again after reportedly treating the members of the media during a supposed press conference for Hollywood actress Vanessa Hudgens.

Hudgens has been named to be the Global Tourism Ambassador to the Philippines.

According to the report of several news websites, including Bilyonaryo, Soriano ranted in the middle of the press conference and decided to end the event prematurely while the members of the press were lining up to get an interview with Hudgens.

CNN Philippines’ Christine Jacob was one of the members of the press who were supposed to interview Hudgens, but Soriano decided to end the conference.

“Get the press out of here. I don’t need them. They’re so useless. The press can f*ck off.” Soriano reportedly told his PR team.

Even the members of the press were surprised by the actions made by Soriano, while they praised Hudgens and her family for being accommodating to every interviewer.

The report also said that Soriano ended the press conference so his wife, Toni Gonzaga would get all the time to exclusively interview Hudgens.

Some also speculated that the director was not happy with the press because of their reports against his wife.

As of writing, Soriano has yet to release a statement on the issue.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin gave another information about the internal issue happening in the top-rated noontime show Eat Bulaga.

In her online program, Fermin said that the founding members of Eat Bulaga, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon would remain in the noontime show despite the rebranding rumors.

“Mayroong kwento sa isang kampo na hindi raw po aalis ang Tito, Vic and Joey sa Eat Bulaga. Wala raw pong matatanggal sa mga host,” Fermin said.

However, Fermin said that Maine Mendoza, one of the most popular hosts of the show would leave Eat Bulaga.

“May isa na sinasabing mawawala. Confirmed na raw, si Maine Mendoza. At alam naman natin ang dahilan, noon pa man sinasabi niya na ito ay bilang preparasyon sa kanyang pag-iisang dibdib naman ni Congressman Arjo Atayde” she said.

She also addressed the critics of Eat Bulaga, saying that TVJ would remain on the show.

“Kaya yung mga nagpaparinig diyan na ‘Eat Bulagta’, matatameme kayo hindi mangyayari yung gusto niyong mga ganap,” she stated.

It can be recalled that Fermin was one of the columnists who revealed the rumored internal issue between the executive of the show.

It’s not yet known if Maine would be really replaced by one of the children of Eat Bulaga chairman Romeo Jalosjos.
