Issues circulating about the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga kept coming.

In a report from Politiko, several networks expressed interest in taking Eat Bulaga from GMA Network when its contract with the Kapuso network expires.

It was reportedly that Manny V. Pangilinan, the owner of TV5 wanted to air Eat Bulaga together with ABS-CBN noontime show It’s Showtime.

Meanwhile, Net25, the current network of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon also expressed interest in giving a timeslot to Eat Bulaga.

However, some netizens doubt that GMA would allow Eat Bulaga, one of the top-rated shows to leave their network.

The said rumors circulated amid the internal issue happening between the executives of Eat Bulaga.

It was also reported that Eat Bulaga may undergo ‘rebranding’ that may result in the removal of its current staff and hosts.

It’s up to the executives of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) led by their chairman Romeo Jalosjos Sr. if they’re going to end the 28 years relationship between Eat Bulaga and GMA.

The contract between GMA and Eat Bulaga was set to expire in 2026.

TAPE Inc. executives was set to hold a media conference on April 15, 2023 to clarify all the issues surrounding the noontime show.

Willie Revillame’s rumored resignation from AllTV became one of the most talked about topics this week.

In a report from Bilyonaryo.com, Revillame has reportedly asked by AllTV’s owner Manny Villar about the fate of his show Wowowin originally being aired to GMA-7 before his departure to the Kapuso network.

Revillame allegedly asked Villar for an ‘ultimatum’ to ensure the continuation of his game show after reports circulated that Wowowin would be put off-air amid its struggling ratings.

The businessman and television host also reportedly received an offer from two major networks, but it’s not yet sure if it included GMA-7.

Revillame also reportedly lost his patience while waiting for the plan of AllTV to improve its audience reach.

It can be recalled that veteran columnist Cristy Fermin already reported that Revillame wrote to AllTV to express his intent to leave the network.

Before transferring to AllTV, Revillame was flourishing in GMA-7 but still accepted the offer from Villar who’s also his close friend.

The host also received criticisms on social media after addressing the criticisms that Wowowin received because of its low ratings.

Currently, AllTV stopped airing Wowowin, Toni Gonzaga’s talk show, and the program of Mariel Rodriguez, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Ciara Sotto.

He even reminded some people he helped in the past who criticized him because of an edited video making him look like he was laughing at the fate of his former network ABS-CBN.

As of writing, Revillame has yet to release a statement on his rumored resignation.

Veteran columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis urged Kapuso comedienne Pokwang to stop talking about her former partner Lee O’Brian.

It can be remembered that Pokwang posted about the activities of her former husband at a Mexican restaurant in Bonifacio Global City where the American actor was reportedly seen having a sweet moment with a waitress.

“Susme e ano naman kung may naka kandong na waitress sa kanya dyan sa isang mexican bar sa bgc? hayaan nyo sya masaya sya dahil sa wakas natagpuan na nya pangarap nyang babae at deserve nya yan yeheeeyy congratulations po,” she tweeted.

Solis reacted to the tweet made by Pokwang, saying that the comedienne was already becoming a ‘stalker’ to Lee.

According to Solis, there’s a possibility that Pokwang still wanted to be with Lee.

“Talagang lahat ng nangyayari sa Ex ni Pokwang alam na alam nito, Salve. Naisip ko tuloy baka naman may something pa si Pokwang sa Ex niya at ayaw pa niyang dedma na lang. Kasi nga pag gusto mo move on, totally ayaw mo ng anything to do sa nakaraan mo. ” the veteran columnist wrote.

“Pero sa case ni Pokwang pati bagong GF ng Ex alam niya. Para bang ang lumalabas ang stalker sa kanilang dalawa si Pokwang dahil lahat ng bagay nalalaman niya,” she added.

Solis believed that it was better for Pokwang to stop putting her time into her former partner.

“Mas maganda para kay Pokwang na umiwas na pag ang issue tungkol sa dating karelasyon, dapat lang total blackout siya para maipakitang keber na sa kanya kahit ano pa gawin nito. Habang pumapayag siya pag usapan ang mga bagay tungkol sa Ex para bang interesado siya dito. Kung talagang wala na, dapat wala talaga.” she said.

Content creator Jormiel Labador reacted to the newest controversy being faced by his brother Rendon Labador after some netizens complained about the price of the plain rice in his restaurant.

It can be recalled that some netizens questioned the pricing of the ‘pandan rice’ at Episode Bar + Kitchen which costs P100.

As a response to the complaints, Rendon called his rice ‘motivational’ saying that people should work hard to afford it.

While Jormiel admitted that the food being served at his brother’s restaurant was delicious, he still couldn’t stop himself to ask Rendon about the pricing of their rice.

“Kaya nga ako nandito kasi gusto kong kumprontahin si Rendon Labador,” Jormiel said. “Bakit 100 pesos ang presyo ng rice mo, alam mo ba na madaming tao ang nagugutom ngayon, tapos 100 pesos ‘yung rice?”

“Rendon Labador are you out of your mind? Dapat ginawa mo ng 200 pesos nahiya ka pa.” he added.

According to Jormiel, you could buy 10 cups of rice in some carinderia for 100 pesos.

“Dapat tanggalin na sa management tong si Rendon Labador,” he stated.

Jormiel then revealed that he bought his own rice to avoid buying paying 100 pesos to the restaurant of his brother.

Celebrity doctor Dra. Vicki Belo captured the attention of the netizens after an old interview of her talking about her rivals in the cosmetic industry has been reuploaded on social media.

On March 24, Santa Marites reuploaded the interview of Belo in the now-defunct GMA talk show Showbiz Central where she’s been asked by its host about her rivals, including Dr. Manny Calayan of Calayan Surgicenter.

The said interview became controversial after she mentioned ‘King of Talk’ Boy Abunda’s appearance.

“All I’d like to say is, if you want to look like Boy Abunda , go to Calayan, But if you want to look like Dingdong Dantes and Piolo Pascual, come to Belo.” Dra. Belo said.

The remarks from Belo received criticisms from netizens and even Abunda admitted that he was affected by the statement from the doctor.

“Nasindak po ako, na-surprise po ako, di po ako makapaniwala…kaibigan ko pong matalik si Dra. Vicky Belo for years. Vicky if you’re watching alam mo na kahit kailan hindi ako namuhunan sa gandang panlabas dahil alam ko wala ako masyado nun. Carmina Villarroel interview with Kapuso artist Lianne Valentin went viral on social media because of her questions to the actress.

Lianne played the mistress of Carmina’s husband, Zoren Legaspi in the GMA show ‘Apoy sa Langit’ and some netizens couldn’t stop themselves from thinking if the relationship between the 21-year-old actress and 51-year-old actor remained ‘professional’.

During the interview with Carmina in the show ‘Sarap Di Ba’, Lianne was surprised by the question she received from the former.

Actress Ruffa Gutierrez reportedly lost the labor case that her former helpers filed against her.

It can be recalled that last year, Gutierrez went viral after P3PWD Party-list Rep. Rowena Guanzon posted a tweet about her friend who helped the helpers of the former actress who got removed from their jobs without receiving a salary.

“My friend has to rescue two household helpers who were thrown out of a first-class village by their employers without paying their salaries. Where is your compassion?” Guanzon said.

Ruffa then explained that the accusations were not true, saying that there had a reason to remove the said helpers.

“Nang-aaway po sila sa ibang mga kasamahan sa bahay ng wala po ako. They were demanding to leave the house, which I said they were able to do AFTER I returned home from work, so I could talk to them before they leave.” Gutierrez said.

The issue reached the court after the former helpers filed charges against Gutierrez.

Talent manager Ogie Diaz, revealed that the court asked the camp of Gutierrez to pay their former helpers.

“Nagbigyan ng pansin ng DOLE [Department of Labor and Employment] and I’m sure si Ruffa ay tutugon sa desisyon na ito. Maliit na bagay at maliit na halaga para hindi niya tuparin ang kanyang obligasyon doon sa dalawang kasambahay.” Ogie said.

Guanzon also confirmed the news via social media and asked Ruffa to pay her former helpers.

“Maging leksyon ito sa mga amo na ituring naman pong tao na may damdamin yung mga kasambahay ninyo.” Guanzon said.

“Sana po ay maayos na ito. Nananawagan ako kay Ruffa Gutierrez na ayusin na niya ito, i-settle na nya.” she added.

The camp of Gutierrez has yet to release a statement on the decision of the court.

Influencer Rendon Labador made a huge mistake during his new criticism against FPJ’s Batang Quiapo leading actor Coco Martin.

In his now-deleted Facebook post, Labador posted a video of a taping taken in Quiapo and made a message against Martin, calling him out for the inconvenience being brought by Batang Quiapo production.

The return of one of the most popular shows on TV5, ‘Face to Face’ became one of the trending topics on social media in the past few days.

On May 1, the popular talk show would return with its new hosts Karla Estrada and Alex Calleja.

While many netizens were excited about the upcoming show, some of them were saddened that Amy Perez, the original host of the program would not return.

In an interview with Pep.ph, ‘Tyang Amy’ confirmed that she received an offer to host Face to Face again, but decided to refuse it because of some reasons.

According to her, she’s not planning to leave ABS-CBN yet.

“Hindi naman sa ayaw. Nakakahiya lang sa ABS-CBN kasi if aalis ako, kasi never naman ako nawalan ng show kahit nagkaroon ng pandemic at nawalan kami ng franchise.” Amy said.

“Hindi naman ako pinabayaan ng ABS-CBN kaya sobrang thankful ako sa kanila. Wala naman akong exclusive contract but I respect and value the fact na never akong nawalan ng show kaya super thankful ako.” she added.

She believed that it was already the right time to give chance to others to host the legendary talk show.

“And since nagawa ko na ang Face to Face, baka it’s time para iba naman ang gumawa at baka may offer sila na ibang flavor. Saka wala na rin si Hans. Baka hindi ko na makaya without him.” she stated.

Amy was referring to her former co-host Hans Mortel who passed away in 2021.
