Netizen reminds Ogie Diaz that he got a new home because of Liza Soberano

Some fans of Liza Soberano defended the actress from the statements of Ogie Diaz.

It can be remembered that Ogie made several social media posts and statements to narrate how he helped Liza to become a successful actress.

In some tweets, netizens reminded Ogie about the house he built, saying that Liza was the reason why he earned enough money to afford it.

The house being mentioned by the netizens has been featured in several publication on the internet.

Ogie also posted it on his social media story in 2019, thanking Liza for what he achieved.

According to some reports, the house had a modern design with three floors and also a rooftop balcony where the talent manager could relax during his rest days.

“Ang lahat ng ito dahil sa kanya [Liza]. Salamat Nak!” Ogie said.

He even shared the actual construction of the said house and even joked, asking if he should start collecting debts to finance his property.

“Malapit na siyang matapos. Depende kung mababayaran ako ng mga may utang sa akin. Dito kaya ako maningil sa FB?” he wrote.

Netizens mentioned the said house after a series of statements from Ogie reacting to the 14-minute vlog of his former talent.

One of the statements that went viral was his revelation that he helped Liza to get 17.8-M cash advance payment to finance her house.

However, some defenders of Liza said that Ogie also benefited from the actress.

“ISANG POLITIKO NGUNIT KILALANG POLITIKO ITO NG NEGROS ANG HINDI INAASAHAN NA MAG PAPAALAM NA .LAHAT NG ITO AY MANGYAYARI PA LAMANG ,MAGING MAINGAT ANG LAHAT AT HUWAG MAKALIMOT NA MAGDASAL PALAGI SA PANGINOON DAHIL SYA LAMANG ANG PWEDI NATING KAPITAN LAHAT.LAGING MANALANGIN LAMANG.” ayon kay Baldwin.

Tito Sotto and Joey de Leon takes a swipe about possible ‘rebranding’ of Eat Bulaga: “Walang magbabago sa production”

Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto and Joey de Leon took a swipe against the rumors circulating on social media about the possible ‘rebranding’ of the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines.

During the March 4 episode of Eat Bulaga, Sotto, and Joey indirectly commented about the rumored power struggle between Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) former chairman Romeo Jalosjos Sr. and founding producer of Eat Bulaga Tony Tuviera.

The comments were made during the finals of Little Miss Diva, one of the segments of the noontime show.

“Congratulations sa production ng Eat Bulaga,” Sotto said. “Keep up the good work, walang dapat baguhin sa production ng Eat Bulaga.”

It was visible that some of the hosts tried to stop themselves from laughing after hearing the comment of Sotto.

Meanwhile, De Leon invited the people six years from now because he was sure that Eat Bulaga would last until its 50th anniversary in 2029.

“Ini-extend ko ang invitation sa inyong lahat, magkita kita ulit tayo after six years to celebrate Eat Bulaga’s 50 years on television. Imbitado kayo,” De Leon said.

“Tuloy tayo… 50 years of Eat Bulaga on television,” he added.

The said comments from the two main hosts of Eat Bulaga might be a hint that the rumored power struggle may end peacefully.

During the said episode, the TVJ trio also sang the theme song of Eat Bulaga and shared some trivia about the said piece.

“Nililinaw ko lang, ang nag-compose ng kantang ‘Eat Bulaga’, si Vic Sotto. Ang nag-imbento ng salitang ‘Eat Bulaga’, si Joey de Leon!” said Sotto.

It can be remembered that some reports revealed that some hosts of Eat Bulaga, including the TVJ trio, would leave the show if ever that Tuviera got removed from the production team.

Joel Lamangan reacts to rumors about low ticket sales of ‘Oras de Peligro’: “Pag hindi kumita, e, di wala muna, pahinga muna”

Director Joel Lamangan talked about the rumors that ‘Oras de Peligro’ was not performing well in ticket sales compared to their rival movie filmed by Darryl Yap about the Marcos family.

In an interview with DZRH, Lamangan said that he was satisfied with the ticket sales of his current movie compared to his previous projects.

He was also not surprised that Yap’s movie was outperforming him in ticket sales because it was being backed by powerful people and businessmen.

“Isa lang ang nakita ko. Mayroon talagang mas makapangyarihan, hawak ang pera, binibigay ang mga tickets, binibigay sa Chinese Chamber of Commerce.” Lamangan said.

It can be recalled that the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. admitted before that they bought tickets to the previous movie of Yap, Maid in Malacanang.

Lamangan admitted that he would do the same in his movies if he has the influence and power like the Marcoses.

However, he was hoping that more ticket sales would come for ‘Oras de Peligro’ to help their producers.

He also admitted that if ever that his movie becomes a flop, he had no choice but to stop producing films that was similar to his current movie.

Lamangan even took a swipe against Yap, saying that the producers of ‘Oras de Peligro’ is not using the money of the people.

“Wala naman silang hawak na pera ng bayan.” he stated.

The legendary director also said that it’s the people’s lost if they didn’t watch his movie.

“Kung hindi nila mapanood, kawalan nila. Sayang naman,” Lamangan said.

According to a report by Pep.ph, Yap’s movie already earned P8-M during its first day of showing, while Oras de Peligro only achieved P500,000 in ticket sales.

Congressman Romeo Jalosjos Jr. is now the new chairman of TAPE Inc. amid Eat Bulaga rumored internal issue

Amid the rumored internal issue and the power struggle between Eat Bulaga officials, it was confirmed that the new chairman of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) would be Romeo “Kuya Jon” Jalosjos Jr., the son of former congressman Romeo Jalosjos Sr.

Jalosjos Jr., the representative of Zamboanga del Norte’s first district, was spotted meeting with his cousin Lucena City councilor Baste Brizuela.

“Courtesy call with my big brother, cousin, and the new Chairman of TAPE Inc. The production group of Tito, Vic, and Joey. Eat Bulaga – Congressman Romeo “Kuya Jon” Jalosjos. Jr.” Brizuela wrote.

TAPE Inc has produced Eat Bulaga since 1979 and was founded by Jalosjos Sr. with Tony Tuviera, Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto and Joey de Leon.

With Jalosjos Jr. taking the helm of his father’s production company, it’s unknown whether the rumored power struggle between Jalosjos Sr. and Tuviera would finally end or worsen.

It can be recalled that Jalosjos Sr. allegedly wanted Tuviera to be ousted from the noontime show despite the support being received by the latter from other Eat Bulaga hosts, including the TVJ trio.

As of writing, none of the Tape Inc. officials released a statement over the possible rebranding of Eat Bulaga.

Former ABS-CBN journalist reacts to Ogie Diaz’s revelation about helping Liza Soberano to get cash advance for her house

Liza Soberano’s former talent manager Ogie Diaz revealed that he helped the actress borrow an enormous amount from ABS-CBN to build her dream home for her family.

In his online show, Ogie revealed that he helped Liza to borrow 17.8-M pesos worth of advance payment to the network.

The talent manager bravely became the guarantor of the actress to borrow the said amount of money because he trusted Liza.

“Ako ang naglakas sa ABS-CBN na makapag-advance si Liza para mabayaran ‘yung bahay, ia-awas awas nalang sa talent fee niya.” Ogie said.

Fortunately, ABS-CBN didn’t impose interest on the money borrowed by Liza.

“Hindi kami tinubuan ng ABS-CBN, basta matapos lang namin mabayaran ‘yun, for how many years, walang interest,” he stated.

Ogie clarified that he was not reminding Liza about the debt of gratitude.

Meanwhile, former ABS-CBN broadcaster Jay Sonza took a swipe against the talent manager saying that Ogie also possibly took a percentage from the P17.8-M advance payment borrowed by Liza.

“30% of P17.8M is P5.34M. Tumulong kasi kumita ka rin. Hindi ka pauutanginm kung hindi ka pagkakakitaan ng producer. Ganyan ang kalakaran sa showbizPH. KANYA-KANYANG GAMITAN LANG!” Sonza said.

In another episode of his online show, Ogie admitted that under their contract, he would get a 30% commission from Liza. However, he claimed that he lowered it to 20% because he saw how hardworking the actress was.

“I was only getting 20%, at ‘yung sinasabi mo na 30 kapag ikaw ‘yung nag-aalaga, nagma-manage ka dapat kapag umpisa palang nung talent 30% na, why? Kasi gagastusan mo siya,” Ogie said.

After 44 years, Eat Bulaga was rumored to undergo ‘rebranding’ because of the possible result of a power struggle between its officials.

The rumors started when several staff of the said noontime show revealed that the Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) and former congressman Romeo Jalosjos wanted the founding producer of Eat Bulaga, Tony Tuviera, to leave Eat Bulaga.

Tuviera is rumored to gain the support of most of Eat Bulaga’s hosts, including Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

It was rumored that Jalosjos was now searching for replacements for the current hosts of Eat Bulaga in preparation for the rebranding, including Willie Revillame.

In a report from Bilyonaryo.com, Jalosjos allegedly contacted Revillame to become a host of Eat Bulaga if ever the majority of the hosts decided to leave the show.

A poster is circulating about the possible new title of Eat Bulaga under Jalosjos.

In the photo, it can be shown that Revillame, Allan K, and influencer Bretman Rock will lead the show titled ‘Wow Bulaga.’

Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Miguel Tanfelix, Tyronia Fowler, and Rosmar Tan were also included in the poster.

Maegan Aguilar fails to get Raffy Tulfo’s assistance after testing positive and refuses to go to rehab

Sen. Raffy Tulfo expressed disappointment toward OPM legend Freddie Aguilar’s daughter Maegan after she tested positive in the hair follicle test.

Last February 24, Maegan took the said test to prove that she had already changed and not doing any vices anymore.

However, after eight days, the result proved that Maegan had taken illegal substances within 90 days.

Because of the test result, Tulfo said that he would no longer give money to Maegan.

However, because of his kind heart, the senator said that he would consider financing rehabilitation and medication for Maegan.

“Pero kung bibigyan ng pera, bibigyan ng kabuhayan at kung ano-ano pa, hindi ko gagawin ‘yun.” Tulfo said. “Sa gamutan tutulong po ako, para sa rehab tutulong po ako,”

Maegan Aguilar’s test result

However, Tulfo became more disappointed when Maegan refused to go to rehab despite the offer from the official.

Maegan insisted that she only took it once during the 90-day period.

According to her, one of the individuals who temporarily sheltered them was also a ‘user,’ and they were forced to ‘have a session’ as a gesture to the one who helped them.

“Wala kaming choice, it was someone who helped us pero ganoon po ‘yung situation ng kanilang kabuhayan,” she said.

The daughter of the OPM legend still asked Tulfo for livelihood assistance because she believed that it was better than going to rehab.

She said they’re only using it because of the hardship they’re experiencing due to lack of money.

However, Tulfo didn’t buy the explanation from Maegan.

“Nagsinungaling kayo sa akin once, anong guarantee na hindi kayo magsinungaling for the second time,” the senator said.

Maegan became malnourished because of hyperthyroidism, and she already went to the hospital several times because of her condition.

They also became homeless for several weeks because of their situation.

Freddie also said he didn’t let Maegan enter his home because he believed she was still not changing.
