Ai-Ai delas Alas admitted that despite being upset with her husband Gerald Sibayan’s decision to end their relationship, she said that she would not take anything back from the latter.

It can be recalled that Ai-Ai helped Gerald become a pilot and a resident of the U.S.

After their separation, rumors circulated that Ai-Ai would try to withdraw her petition to make Gerald an American resident, but she clarified that it was not true.

“Greencard holder ako, ipinetisyon ko siya as husband so approved na yun. Naghihintay lang siya ng green card,” said Ai-Ai during an interview with Boy Abunda on November 11, 2024. “Siyempre, kapag initial, buwisit ka, kung anu-ano ang nasasabi mo, pero hindi ko naman gagawin yon.

She also addressed Gerald during the interview and wished he could find happiness soon.

“Yung hinihiling mong anak, sana magkaroon ka ng healthy child… I wish you well. Kasi sa sampung taon na pinagsamahan natin, in fairness naman to you, naging good husband ka naman. Siguro ganoon talaga ang buhay. Basta sana maging masaya ka na, and I wish you all happiness na hinahanap mo.” she said.

As of writing, Gerald refused to give any statement following his decision to end his relationship with Ai-Ai.

Ai-Ai’s separation from Gerald received a mixed reaction from the netizens, saying that the comedian had already faced the consequences of not listening to the public when she first announced her relationship with the latter in 2014.

Some netizens believed that Gerald only used Ai-Ai for his own gain.

Kathleen Hermosa, nanindigan sa kanyang post laban sa Labubu

Kristine Hermosa’s sister, Kathleen Hermosa, stood with her comments against ‘Labubu Craze’ in the country.

It can be recalled that Kathleen received criticism on social media after she shared a conspiracy theory about the origins of Labubu, which Chinese artist Kasing Lung created.

Every Labubu you own brings you one step closer to owning a piece of Hell itself. These mischievous little devils aren’t just figurines or toys. They’re known to be Lucifer’s favorite companions, feeding on the souls of the damned,” the post read.

“Rumor has it, those who collect enough Labubus may find themselves visited by the real deal. And trust us, when Labubu shows up, it’s hungry… for souls,” it added.

In a statement, Kathleen clarified that she was happy that people were riding the Labubu Craze but admitted that she was not a fan of the toy.

“I don’t find it cute!” she said.

She also decided not to join the craze after she saw a 666-themed Labubu.

The number ‘666’ symbolized the devil, which would be against her beliefs as a full-pledged Christian.

Despite her explanations, Kathleen still received criticism from the netizens, saying that people should not connect all trends to the devil like what the public figure was doing.

Ai-Ai delas Alas said she did her best to make her partner, Gerald Sibayan, happy.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, Ai-Ai said that she tried to become a helpful wife to her husband by doing chores.

“Tinray ko naman ang lahat ng gusto niya, like gusto niya palagi akong nagluluto, so nagluluto ako. Gusto niya malinis ang bahay. Kumbaga, tinray ko naman ang lahat ng best ko. So, nung sinabi niya yon, ano pa ang… hindi naman puwedeng kapag gusto niyang maging masaya, tumambling na lang ako every day. Ano pa ba ang hindi ko ginawa, e, parang nagawa ko na lahat,” said Ai-Ai.

However, Ai-Ai realized that there was a possibility that their huge age gap would never save their relationship.

She also said that Gerald was already independent after she helped him to become a pilot.

Gerald was currently working as a pilot in America.

“Siguro nag-iba na yung priorities niya tapos baka nakakita siya ng mas magiging masaya siya, kaya malaking factor din yon. Alam na niya ngayon how to fly. Parang kasi dati, ako yung nagmamaniobra, kasi ako talaga yung medyo matanda sa kanya,” she stated.

“So ngayon, meron na siyang karapatan to fly, nagwo-work na siya. Nandoon na siya sa Amerika,” she added.

Ai-Ai delas Alas, inamin na nahuli niya na noon si Gerald Sibayan na mayroong ibang babae

Ai-Ai delas Alas finally confirmed that she was already separated from her husband, Gerald Sibayan.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, Ai-Ai said that Gerald only informed her about his decision to end their relationship via text message, saying that he wanted to build his own family and have a child, which the comedian couldn’t provide due to her age.

“Oo, hiwalay na kami. Sinabi niya na gusto niya magkaanak, hindi na siya happy,” said Ai-Ai.

Ai-Ai tried to build a family with Gerald via in vitro fertilization (IVF), but their attempts failed several times, which made the latter disappointed.

When asked if it was possible that Gerald met another woman in America, Ai-Ai only said that she was unsure about it.

“Aahhh, bilang asawa, di ba ang mga asawa malalakas ang [pakiramdam]? Ako, ramdam ko meron. Ramdam ko. Gut feel,” said Ai-Ai. “Pero it doesn’t matter kung meron o wala. Kasi nung sinabi niya na firm na siya sa decision, wala na naman akong ilalaban, di ba?”

“Kapag lumaban pa kasi ako, kunyari nag-stay ako, alam ko naman ang magiging ending. Yung dignity at self-worth ko, mawawala na yon. Nagtira naman ako kasi alam ko na mangyayari uli yon. Kasi nung 2019, nag-cheat na rin siya noon,” she added.

According to her, she already had trust issues with Gerald after what happened in 2019.

As of writing, Gerald, whose social media pages were already deleted, has yet to give any response to Ai-Ai’s statement.

Ai-Ai introduced Gerald, who was 30 years younger than her, in 2014.

Several reports were circulating on social media about the possible actions Ai-Ai delas Alas may have taken after her separation from Gerald Sibayan.

According to the report published by Pep.ph, Ai-Ai was rumored to take back Gerald’s green card.

A Green Card would allow a non-US citizen to become a resident of America, which Ai-Ai and Gerald owned.

The same report also indicated that Gerald only sent a text message to Ai-Ai to inform her about their separation.

It can be recalled that Ai-Ai helped Gerald to become a U.S. resident.

“Nung araw, ayaw niya magpa-petition kasi si Gerald, ‘di ‘ba nag-piloto siya so gusto niya, mag-piloto siya dito,” said Ai-Ai.

However, several events convinced Gerald.

“So pumayag na siyang i-petition ko siya. Kasi sa totoo lang din, dito hindi niya ko kayang buhayin,” she said.

“At least sa Amerika, kaya niya akong buhay? nang kumportable,” she added.

Ai-Ai introduced Gerald to the public in 2014, which became a big controversy due to their wide age gap.

However, despite the criticisms, Ai-Ai didn’t listen to the warnings she received from the netizens and even helped Gerald to become a pilot.

As of writing, Ai-Ai has yet to give any information on the reason why she decided to be separated.

There were rumors that Angelica Yulo, the mother of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, would have a biopic about her life as a mother.

According to talent manager Ogie Diaz, a businessman was ready to fund the movie.

The same businessman sponsored Angelica’s trip to Singapore, where she stayed for a week in a luxurious hotel with her daughter.

Alam mo ba. Gagawing pelikula ang buhay ng ‘The Angelica Yulo Life Story’,” said Ogie.

“Talaga? Bakit hindi Carlos Yulo Life Story?” Ogie’s co-host, Mama Loi asked.

“Eh kasama na ‘yon do’n, kasi iba pa rin daw at naiiba ang kuwento ni Mommy Angelica,” he responded.

Angelica was also offered to live in a mansion worth P95-M together with her family as long as she wanted.

As of writing, Angelica has yet to confirm the news.

It can be recalled that Angelica went viral on social media because of her feud with Carlos.

Until today, Carlos didn’t talk to his mother, which received negative feedback from some netizens.

Despite their feud, Angelica received support from several celebrities, including Ai-Ai delas Alas, who proclaimed that she was part of ‘Team Nanay,’ a faction formed amid the former’s feud with her son.

Kristine Hermosa’s sister, Cathleen Hermosa, gained the netizens’ attention after sharing a conspiracy theory about a famous toy brand.

Labubu was only one of the characters created by Chinese artist Kasing Lung. His other creations were Zimomo, Tycoco, Spooky, and Pato. However, Filipinos called all the toys made by Kasing Lung Labubu.

Due to its popularity, theories on why Labubu suddenly became popular circulated on social media, including the one shared by Cathleen.

In the said Facebook post, Labubu allegedly symbolized the devil.

“Every Labubu you own brings you one step closer to owning a piece of Hell itself. These mischievous little devils aren’t just figurines or toys, they’re known to be Lucifer’s favorite companions, feeding on the souls of the damned,” the post read.

“Rumor has it, those who collect enough Labubus may find themselves visited by the real deal. And trust us, when Labubu shows up, it’s hungry… for souls,” it added.

Cathleen, who was a full-fledged Christian, told her followers to be ‘vigilant.’

However, not all netizens were amused by Cathleen’s warning, especially those Labubu collectors.

It can be recalled that most fads in the country were being connected by some groups to the devil, which includes the Labubu trend.

Before their separation, Ai-Ai delas Alas was all praise to her husband, Gerald Sibayan.

Throughout their 10-year relationship, Ai-Ai received judgment from the netizens, saying that she was the one who provided all the needs of Gerald, who was 30 years younger than her.

However, in an interview, Ai-Ai insisted that Gerald, who’s now a U.S resident, also provided her needs.

“Isa yan sa super gift sa akin ni God, si Gerald. And isa pa, provider. Yun ang pinakaisa sa importante. Hindi nila alam na, ‘Naku, si Ai-Ai lang ang bubuhay diyan, blah, blah, blah.’ Hindi po. Sa Amerika po, siya ang bumubuhay sa akin,” said Ai-Ai.

In another post, Ai-Ai also expressed how she withstands all the judgment she received from the public for loving Gerald.

Before their breakup, comedy queen Ai-Ai delas Alas made several contributions to the life of her ex-partner, Gerald Sibayan.

It can be recalled that Ai-Ai introduced Gerald to the public in 2014 when he was a 20-year-old badminton player at De La Salle University.

Gerald, who was studying Sports Management at that time, was already set on his goal to become a pilot, which Ai-Ai reportedly granted.

In 2018, Gerald had already completed his pilot training and was even accompanied by AI-Ai during his graduation.

A year later, Ai-Ai expressed how proud she was after she witnessed her ex-partner’s first landing.

“I am so proud of you my husband .. salamat sa tyaga at dedication mo pagiging piloto mo .. masayang masaya ako dahil parate mong naiisip ang future naten ..and sabi nga ‘the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams’ .. na fulfill ko na ang dream mo kaya fly high my love,” she stated.

Some netizens already suspected that Gerald’s pilot training was being funded by Ai-Ai.

However, the comedy queen shrugged off the comments made by the netizens.

“Hayaan na naten sila basta ang mahalaga may pilot ako asawa at libre ako sa plane hehehe yahoo,” said Ai-Ai.

After becoming a pilot, Ai-Ai’s next step was to file an immigrant petition to make Gerald a resident of U.S.

“Kaya lang siyempre sa totoo lang, ngayon pa lang ako talaga magiging may asawa, na ang priority ko, si Gerald. Kasi bukod sa ipe-petition ko siya, kailangan niya rin ng kasama roon sa Amerika. Alangan nga namang nandito ako, nandoon siya. Juice ko, bakit pa kami naging mag-asawa. At saka kasi, ngayon ko lang din ako mag-full blast ng green card ko,” she said.

In 2024, Ai-Ai even described Gerald as a good provider, claiming her ex-partner in America was supporting her.

However, it seems that Ai-Ai’s sacrifices would be wasted, and her situation may get worse depending on the terms of their divorce.

Santa Rosa, Laguna Representative Dan Fernandez pushed for disallowing a certain age group from using social media.

In a bill filed by Fernandez, minors would be barred from using social media to prevent them from being exposed to harmful content.

In the proposed Social Media Regulation and Protection Act (House Bill 543), social media companies would be required to restrict internet users under 13 years old.

Social media platforms would also be prohibited from collecting data from children 13 and below without parental consent and without user consent for 13 to 17-year-olds.

Companies are also required to automatically limit the usage of their platforms to 30 minutes a day. Netizens may change their time limit, but they must do it weekly.

“Users would be able to change the limits, but they would have to do so every week,” according to the bill filed by Fernandez.

Fernandez believed that the bill would protect the younger Filipinos from being taken advantage of by social media companies that were known for collecting data.

“With the advent and creation of social media, children and adolescents’ every move is monitored online, and even the youngest are bombarded with advertising when they go online to do their homework, talk with friends, and play,” he said.

“This demonstrates that in the digital age of the internet, social media corporations create a global footprint that easily influences our modern conceptions of choice, leisure, and reality,” he added.

The bill was filed in 2022 but was still not being passed into the law.

It became a discussion again after Australia pushed to ban minors from using social media platforms.
