The family of five Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the United Arab Emirates appealed for help from the government after they were put behind bars because of a video that they uploaded on the internet.

In the said video, it can be seen that the five OFWs who were supposed to be members of the LGBT community can be seen introducing themselves on the video.

The uploader jokingly said in the video that some of them were showgirls.

“This is showgirl. O see? They have no customer, no show today.” one of the OFW said.

“This is a new girl, fresh from the Philippines, this is one hundred only,” he added.

According to one of the relatives of the OFW, the authorities of UAE thought that the uploader was selling themselves which is against the law of the said country.

Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Toots Ople vowed to assist the OFWs.

Ople warned that OFWs in UAE should be careful about what they post on social media.

“UAE is strictly implementing its cyberlaw and is also very sensitive to actions against their customs and morality. Iba ang kultura nila eh so we have to be very very respectful,” she said.

Maui Taylor tells the reason why she’s still living with her ex-partner: “Sobrang lalim na ng hole na ‘yun na away-bati kami”

Actress Maui Taylor shared her complicated situation after ending her relationship with her former husband Anton Sabarre.

It can be remembered that during a media con on January 24, Taylor revealed that she was already separated from Sabarre. However, netizens were surprised that the actress still decided to live in the same house with her former husband.

“Hindi na kami nag-uusap. We’re co-parenting. We’re in one house but I sleep in a different room. Matagal nang ganoon ang set-up. Walang pakialaman. No questions asked,” Taylor said.

She then revealed the reason for her decision during an interview with Boy Abunda.

According to her, she doesn’t want her children to live separately, so she chose to make a sacrifice by living with her ex.

Because nagtatanong ako eh sa panganay. ‘Mommy is gonna buy a new house. Are you gonna come with me?’ ‘Oh yes mommy I’m gonna go with you.’ ‘Yung bunso, wala, sa daddy niya,” she said.

Taylor shared that she told her former husband not to bring any of their new partners into their house to prevent any confusion among their children.

“Sabi ko bawal magpakilala. Huwag muna, kasi mako-confuse ‘yung kids. We participated as mom and dad.” she said.

She also said that she’s already tired of arguing with her former partner.

The actress also admitted that there’s no chance for her to reconcile with Sabarre.

Former Senate President and Eat Bulaga host Tito Sotto met with one of the top law firms in the Philippines.

In an Instagram post from Atty. Enrique Dela Cruz showed a photo during the meeting of Sotto with the members of DivinaLaw.

Dela Cruz, who’s a senior partner of the said law firm, can be seen posing with Sotto together with his other lawyers.

“Saturday meeting with Former Senate president Tito Sotto and our “dabarkads team”.” Dela Cruz wrote.

The purpose of Sotto’s visit has not yet been known, but Bilyonaryo.com reported that there’s a possibility that the television host’s visit to DivinaLaw may be connected to the internal issue happening in Eat Bulaga.

It can be recalled that there’s a rumored power struggle happening between the officials of Eat Bulaga’s producer, Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.).

The children of former congressman Romy Jalosjos who chaired Tape Inc., allegedly wanted to take full control of the longest-running noontime show.

Meanwhile, the legendary trio TVJ didn’t want any changes to the production of Eat Bulaga.

Some netizens speculated that TVJ wanted to protect and own the branding of Eat Bulaga instead of making their own show.

There were reports that if ever the internal issue on Eat Bulaga turned badly, TVJ and other current hosts of the noontime show would create their own program called ‘Dabarkads’ to counter Jalosjos’ rebranded show.

Tape Inc. was set to hold a press conference on April 15, to clarify all issues surrounding Eat Bulaga.

Wag niyong gagawin yan,” he said.

Director and actor Coco Martin explained why he’s not using a script in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.

In an interview during the mediacon for Coco’s movie ‘Apag’ one of the official entries for the Summer Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2023, the popular actor revealed that he got his style of not using a script from Director Brillante Mendoza.

Mendoza directed Martin’s first lead role in a movie, Masahista, in 2005.

According to him, he also decided to use the same technique when filming Batang Quiapo, currently one of the top-rated shows in television.

“Kasi dun ako lumaki, e. Sa kanila ni Bing Lao. Talagang hindi kami sanay na may script.” Coco said.

However, he admitted that he would not surpass Mendoza’s talent.

Meanwhile, the award-winning director praised Coco for being down-to-earth despite the achievements he attained.

Walang nagbago.” Mendoza said.

Despite the good stories about Coco, the actor still couldn’t evade criticisms especially from motivational speaker Rendon Labador who wanted him to leave Quiapo.
