TVJ inireklamo ang TAPE Inc. kay idol Raffy Tulfo: “

On a rare occasion, former Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros appeared on the popular program of Sen. Raffy Tulfo to air their complaints against Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.).

During a special episode of ‘Wanted sa Radyo,’ the former Eat Bulaga hosts narrated the issue between them and TAPE Inc.

“After 44 years gustong biglang pakialamanan ang production ng TAPE, e dati namang hindi at isang tao lang ang kausap namin ‘don.” Sotto said. “Tapos ngayon, bigla nilang gustong mag-take over at binibawasan ‘yung sweldo ng mga tao, nalulugi daw e wala naman kaming nakikitang pagkalugi,”

According to them, they thought that the issue was over several successful dialogs between them and TAPE. However, the statement made by their CFO, Seth Frederick Pal Jalosjos, in several interviews disappointed most of the Dabarkads.

On May 31, 2023, all the hosts of Eat Bulaga decided to leave the production company and GMA Network.

However, Sotto said that what happened may be a ‘blessing in disguise’ because their decision brought them to TV5.

They also shared an update about the title of their upcoming new show on TV5 and admitted that they’re still waiting for the right time to use the ‘Eat Bulaga’ again.

“May proseso kaming hinihintay para maging maayos at hindi magkaroon ng balakid or ng istorbo. So habang hinihintay natin ‘yon, na maayos ‘yung proseso na ‘yon, pwede muna kaming gumamit ng ibang (Title),” he said.

Zayla Nakajima, tells the whole story behind the Awra Briguela’s Poblacion incident: ‘She just defended me’

Actor Awra Briguela went viral on social media after she was put under the authorities’ custody after a confrontation in Poblacion, Makati, on June 29, 2023.

The confrontation involving Awra’s group, several bar-goers, employees, and authorities has been captured on camera.

Awra can also be seen being dragged by the authorities to their mobile and brought to their station.

The 19-year-old ABS-CBN talent was still under the custody of the authorities and also facing charges from a certain Mark Christian Ravana, who claimed to be confronted by Awra.

According to the complainant, Awra demanded he removes his shirt but refused the request by the Kapamilya star.

Ravana claimed that Awra didn’t respect his decision and tore his shirt, which resulted in a heated confrontation.

The complainant then asked for the assistance of the authorities, and a camera had already captured the following scenes.

However, Zayla Nakajima shared their other version of the story about the incident, saying that the group of Ravana was the ones who approached them.

According to Zayla, she was only defended by her friend from the complainant, and she urged the netizens not to spread false stories online.

“I feel like all of our real friends will definitely armor us with this kind of people and Awra is just too humane to be defending her girlfriends and different stories unravel online like a wildfire,” Zayla said.

“The handcuffing clips circulating online tolerated negative version of the story and this is something we don’t take lightly,” she added.

Awra has yet to give a statement as of writing.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin believed that Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) owned by the Jalosjos family, didn’t imagine that GMA Network would agree to air It’s Showtime in one of their channels.

In her show, Cristy said that TAPE Inc., the producer of Eat Bulaga, would be affected by the decision of GMA to bring their number one competitor into the same network.

Cristy believed that TAPE Inc. felt outsmarted by GMA Network.

“Hindi mo aakalain na ‘yung naganap na rigodon may inside job. Hindi akalain ng mga Jalosjos na eh hindi naman pala Tito, Vic and Joey and kalaban natin eh, dito pala sa loob mismo ng bakuran eh, ipinangsabong sa atin. Parang naisahan kami!”  she said.

Even the Kapuso fans couldn’t believe the decision made by GMA.

“Hindi po namin maintindihan sa totoo lang kahit mga kapwa Pilipino na nakakausap namin hindi nila makuha-kuha ang punto kung bakit tinanggap ng GMA-7 sa kanilang GTV ang ‘It’s Showtime’ para makalaban sa umuupa sa kanilang bahay,” she stated.

“Parang sila mismo ang naglagay ng makakalaban,” she added.

On June 28, 2023, GMA and ABS-CBN formally signed a contract to air ‘It’s Showtime’ on GTV Channel.

Observers believed that Eat Bulaga, being replaced by It’s Showtime in the noontime slot of GMA, was not far from reality anymore.

Vice Ganda hints his desire to be face-to-face Jessica Soho in an interview

Netizens couldn’t stop their curiosity if Vice Ganda would finally meet journalist Jessica Soho, as he’s now part of GMA Network.

On June 28, 2023, GMA and ABS-CBN joined forces after the Kapuso Network brought the Kapamilya noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ to one of their channels.

During the signing of the contract between the two network giants, Vice said that he would appear in some Kapuso shows, but one of his wishes was to appear in a certain program on GMA.

“Napag-usapan namin ni Tita Cory (Vidanes), kasi siyempre magpu-promote. Sabi ko, meron lang akong request, since maggi-guest tayo sa ibang GMA shows, puwede ko bang i-request na mag-guest ako sa programang ito. Gusto ko lang lumabas sa programang ito, kung uubra lang.” Vice said.

Netizens quickly tried to guess the said program, and they believed that Vice was referring to Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS).

It can be recalled that Vice became controversial in 2013 after he made Jessica one of the topics of his jokes during the ‘I-Vice Ganda Mo ‘Ko’ concert.

Vice almost lost his career because of the said joke, which compared Jessica to a ‘lechon’.

The comedian apologized to Jessica, but the journalist only released a statement as a response to the comedian’s apology.

“I acknowledge the public apology given by Vice Ganda, by way of his TV program. I sincerely hope and pray that this was done with the purest intentions and determination to put this issue behind us.” said Jessica in a statement.

She also made an indirect response to Vice’s joke in her news program, State of the Nation.

He also revealed that he called Jessica directly, but the journalist refused to talk to him.

The issue has still not been disclosed as of writing, so netizens were excited that Jessica would finally face Vice 10 years after the issue.

Advertisers reportedly want TAPE Inc. to return their money after TVJ and Dabarkads left Eat Bulaga

Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) was reportedly struggling to keep up with their advertisers after Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and other hosts of their noontime show Eat Bulaga decided to leave the program.

According to the report made by Abante, several advertisers were already sending demands to TAPE Inc., asking the company to return the money they paid to air commercials to Eat Bulaga.

It’s not yet known if grocery chain Puregold was included in the list of companies allegedly asking TAPE Inc. to return their money.

Joey already revealed that Puregold already paid in advance to TAPE Inc. to promote their grocery chain for three years for an undisclosed amount.

However, the decision made by TVJ to leave Eat Bulaga may affect the relationship between the said company and TAPE Inc.

It can be recalled that 80% of the advertisers reportedly expressed support for TVJ and even pledged to promote their products in the upcoming show of the Dabarkads on TV5.

The remaining 20% of advertisers are reportedly planning to follow suit if ever that TAPE Inc. decides to return their money.

Observers believed that TAPE Inc. would be forced to terminate their contract with GMA if they ever lost most of their sponsors as they’re paying millions of pesos every month to the Kapuso Network.

As of writing, TAPE Inc. has yet to give any response to the said reports.

Ogie Alcasid became emotional while addressing his former bosses during the signing of the contract between GMA Network and ABS-CBN.

On June 28, 2023, GMA brought ABS-CBN’s top noontime show, ‘It’s Showtime,’ to their new home, GTV Channel.

A long-time Kapuso artist, Ogie rebooked his flight to prioritize the signing between the two networks.

“I wanted to be here today for many reasons, one of which, gustong-gusto ko makita ang mga dati kong boss. Yung Ninong ko po, si Atty. Gozon, ang kumpare ko po, si Mr. Duavit, and mga boss ko. I wanted to see you again.” said Ogie.

“It’s refreshing to see you and it’s really nice to see you,” he added.

He was also proud of his ABS-CBN bosses, saying they’re not failing to find ways to help their talents.

Ogie also realized that the showbiz industry was indeed small.

“I’m sure narinig niyo na ‘yung kasabihang, ‘maliit lang naman ang industriya natin. Nagkikita-kita lang rin naman tayo.’ And today proves that,” he said.

“But I believe that more because talagang maliit ang mundo natin, sapagkat may mga taong malalaki ang mga puso tulad po ninyo, na nag-welcome sa amin.” he added.

Ogie stayed at GMA Network for 18 years to explore more opportunities.

His wife, Regine Velasquez, also left the same network because of the same reason.
