Award-winning artist Jiro Manio was reportedly not yet keen to leave the rehabilitation center to return as an actor.

In an interview with John Wayne Sace and Julius Babao, they also talked about the changes that happened to Jiro since entering a rehabilitation program.

While Jiro was already showing signs of improvement and working as a co-facilitator in the said rehab.

Jiro’s doctor, Joel de Leon, had been asked by Sace about Jiro’s possible return to showbiz, but the former said that even the former child actor was not convinced that he was ready to act again.

“Ang maganda kay Jiro, alam niya sa sarili niya na hindi niya pa kaya, kumbaga nagre-rehab siya pero may nakikita pa siyang kahinaan sa sarili niya, kaya hindi niya iniiwan ang rehab,” said Joel.

It can be recalled that Jiro’s previous rehabilitation attempts failed, even without the help of actress Ai-Ai delas Alas.

Fortunately, Jiro’s current program helped him to leave his previous vices, and he vowed never to return to his dark past.

“Hindi na po ako babalik sa bisyo ko, ‘yun ang pinapangako ko,” he said.

Aside from Jiro, John’s career was also ended prematurely because of his vices, but he said he was clean now.

Former Eat Bulaga host Jimmy Santos finally returned to his Dabarkads after several years of hiatus on television.

On October 14, 2023, Jimmy surprisingly appeared on the Saturday episode of E.A.T. as the driver of ‘Papa Ethan’ of one of their fictional host, portrayed by Wally Bayola.

Several hosts of E.A.T became emotional after Jimmy’s return.

Jimmy even made a mistake by calling their show ‘Eat Bulaga’, which was quickly corrected by Vic Sotto.

“Whatever happens in this country, I still love you all three times a day,” said Jimmy.
