The lawyer of Dominic Roque released a statement regarding the rumors disclosed by veteran columnist Cristy Fermin about their client.

It can be recalled that Cristy discussed the possible reasons why Bea Alonzo chose to cancel her engagement with Dominic.

Some of the rumors Cristy mentioned were about Dominic’s ‘dark past’ and the alleged gifts he received from different men.

She also mentioned several politicians who allegedly gave favors to Dominic.

However, Fernandez & Singson’s law office said that there was no truth about the information released by Cristy.

“We strongly condemn the malicious and defamatory public statements of Ms. Fermin. These defamatory statements were made by Ms. Fermin under the guise of entertainment news without any effort from her to confirm the same from Mr. Dominic Roque. In her vlog, Ms. Fermin made malicious defamatory innuends. These innuendos alluded that Mr. Dominic Roque has a benefactor who is a politician and that this politician is the owner of the condominium where he currently resides. The messaging of the innuendos was clear and unambiguous. In fact, the malicious and baseless innuendos were quickly picked up by social media netizens, several of whom even uploaded a photo of Dapitan City Mayor Jalosjos without his knowledge and consent. There is absolutely no truth to these malicious innuendos, Mr. Dominic Roque is a longtime friend of Mayor Jalosjos and is leasing the unit owned by Mayor Jalosjos,”  they stated.

The law office reminded me that there were laws that existed to protect their client against malicious statements.

They also denied that Dominic and Bea had a disagreement over a pre-nuptial agreement.

As of writing, Cristy has yet to give response to the statement released by Dominic’s camp.

“Queen of Soul” Jaya had an unfortunate incident while on her way to watch the concert of her friend Regine Velasquez in the US.

Jaya who’s excited to meet her friend again after several years, recounted the incident which forced her to cancel her plans to watch the concert.

According to her, she was traveling with some of her friends to Sacramento, California, when their car collided with another vehicle.

The singer was still thankful that they were fine after the collision.

“I am doing ok but my friends are being checked and they will be alright, by God’s grace. Thank you Jesus for sending us divine protection and covering us with your blood. It could’ve been super worse. I’m glad Doc and Auntie Merls are ok,” she said.

“Thank you Lord for making it another day. I am grateful for your mercy and grace. Praise your Holy name.” she added.

She also reminded her fans to wear their seatbelt at all times even if they’re in the backseat.

“Please wear your seatbelts, AT ALL TIMES WHEN YOU ARE IN A VEHICLE, especially if you’re a back seat passenger,” she stated.

Television host Kris Aquino didn’t hesitate to criticize a netizen who called her health condition karma for allegedly having a bad attitude toward others.

It can be recalled that Kris was facing several health conditions, which made her allergic to most medicines that were supposed to cure her illness.

Just recently, Kris revealed that her heart was slowly becoming weak already due to her condition and disclosed her intention to take a risky procedure that may end her life.

Despite her condition, some netizens still couldn’t stop themselves from criticizing Kris and made several theories about why the said rare condition struck her.

“Masama kasi ugali ni Kris kaya siguro nakakarma char,” a netizen said.

Kris quickly responded to the netizen, saying that her condition was not karma but a trial of faith.

“Obviously, not as awful as yours because I’ve made a conscious effort to not judge people I’ve never met nor had a personal encounter with. Illness isn’t karma – it’s God’s way of using my trials to show that FAITH does heal in his time,” she said.

Aside from the said netizen, other internet users made several assumptions about the real cause of Kris’s condition, including the possibility that she was a victim of witchcraft.

However, there was no exact cause why Kris got the said condition.

Allen Dizon was visibly disappointed by Jiro Manio’s decision to sell his Gawad Urian trophy on Pinoy Pawnstars for only P75,000.

It can be recalled that Jiro sold his Gawad Urian Best Actor trophy, which was awarded to him in 2004 for his excellent performance in the movie ‘Magnifico.’

In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Allen, who achieved 50 acting trophies during his career, said that he was not in the position to judge Jiro in his decision.

However, Allen pointed out that Jiro’s trophy could be considered a priceless possession.

“Hindi ko alam kung ano yung nasa isip niya, ano ang nasa utak niya, kung kailangan niya ng pera, kailangan niya ng ganito. Pero siyempre, kung ikaw artista ka, kumbaga ipagmamalaki mo na iyan hanggang tumanda ka na,” said Allen.

“Hanggang sa mga apo mo, at kapag namatay ka na, meron kang legacy na, ‘Ito si Jiro Manio, Best Actor ng Urian!’ It’s priceless, hindi mo puwedeng ibenta ng kahit magkano iyan,” he added.

Allen admitted that he was saddened when he heard about what Jiro did.

Jiro shared that he used the money he got from selling the trophy to spend the Holidays with his family.

“Hindi naman po ako nahirapan dahil as part of my belongings, ipinagkatiwala ko naman po yon kay Boss Toyo at lahat naman po ay naging sigurado,” he stated.

“Siguro dala na rin ng hirap sa buhay, siguro maiintindihan ako ng mga tao na kailangan ko rin, may pangangailangan din ako,” he added.

Janice de Belen and John Estrada’s daughter, Inah de Belen Estrada, admitted that she was already living together under the same roof with Kapuso actor Jake Vargas.

In an interview, Inah said she already decided to live with Jake, who had been her boyfriend for eight years.

She also revealed that they were saving already for their planned wedding.

Inah argued that they were already at the right age to decide for themselves.

“Ayoko naman din na mangyari if ever I get pregnant or we got married na magkakapaan pa kami. At least ngayon, we’ve been living together for almost two years na. So, alam na namin ‘yung ugali ng isa’t isa,” she said.

The said interview received mixed reactions from the netizens.

Veteran actress Maricel Soriano talked about her disappointment with the people who produced the movie Batang Quiapo, starring her and the late Fernando Poe Jr.

In an interview with Aster Amoyo on February 16, the ‘Diamond Star’ said that she felt disrespected during the production of Batang Quiapo, which made her ignore all the billings of her following projects.

Billing is a term used in the entertainment industry to indicate the actor’s role and contribution to the project, which is usually shown in the title of the opening credits or film poster.

Maricel expressed disappointment as her name on the billing of the Batang Quiapo movie was too small despite being one of the main cast members.

The actress played the role of Maria, the love interest of the character being portrayed by FPJ.

“Dahil ang billing ko no’ng ginawa ko ang ‘Batang Quiapo’, Fernando Poe Jr., Maricel Soriano. Do I deserve it? Bakit nila ako ginano’n?” she said.

“Ganito kaliit ang pangalan ko. Sabi ko, deserve ko ba ‘yan? Whether I’m nice or not? Sabi ko na lang sa sarili ko, kaya ka Maricel Soriano dahil kinaya mo lahat ‘to.” she added.

While she ignored the incident, Maricel admitted that she was affected by the treatment she received.

“‘Wag naman akong bastusin masyado nang gano’n. Komo mabait ba ako o kung anoman ako. Sana hindi nila ako ginano’n. Pero ako nilampas ko na lang ‘yon,” she stated.

Even the world’s only eight-division world champion is still soft when it comes to his wife.

In the video uploaded by Steve Jumalon last November, Manny Pacquiao was shown approaching his wife Jinkee while she was having a hand massage.

The world champion then lay his head on his wife’s shoulders while talking in a low tone.

Some fans couldn’t believe that even one of the most feared men in boxing had a soft side.

Several netizens tried to interpret the gestures of the people’s champ, speculating that he was trying to find comfort as he was facing some problems.

Talent manager Ogie Diaz addressed the faith healers who offered their service to ‘help’ television host Kris Aquino, who’s facing several health problems.

In his online show, Ogie discussed the faith healers who claimed that they could heal Kris’ uncurable condition, which might shorten her lifespan.

“Alam niyo sa totoo lang no, andaming nagme-message sa akin paano raw makakarating kay Kris yung kanilang mensahe na gusto siyang gamutin. Gusto siyang idaan sa herbal… alternative medicine. At saka yung mga faith healing na gusto nilang isagawa kay Kris. ‘Yan sa totoo lang lahat ay nakarating kay Kris,” said Ogie.

However, Ogie said Kris’s faith would not convince her to try faith healers.

“Pero ang paniniwala ni Kris ay doon lang sa taas. Hindi siya pwedeng kumawala doon sa pananlig niya kay Lord. Kung anuman ang gusto ni Lord na mangyari sa kanya,” he stated.

It can be recalled that in 2022, Ogie also suggested to Kris to try faith healers.

“Hindi naman natin kinukuwestyon ang kapasidad ng mga doktor, pero kung ganyang patuloy na bumababa ang kaniyang immune system, baka puwede naman nating bigyan ng konsiderasyon yung (pagpapagamot) sa mga faith healer,” he stated.

“Baka naman talagang nakukulam si Kris o nababarang… meron at meron kasing nagagalit kay Kris… pero syempre, sana naman walang gumagawa nang ganoon, kasi ang balik niyon ay sa’yo,” he added.
