The son of a teacher who went viral on social media and possibly faced license suspension addressed the criticisms that his father received from the netizens.

It can be recalled that the said teacher went viral on social media after he was caught disciplining one of his students the hard way.

The said video reached millions of views online, and some netizens even asked the Department of Education to remove the license of the teacher.

In his lengthy Facebook post, Val Cabase apologized to the netizens but defended the position of his father.

“We apologize that my dad did not respond to the situation appropriately. He admitted his fault and deeply regretted it, and my whole family is in pain. He should not have done that. Hence, I am here to extend my apology to the student and to the parent who shared the video. We accept whatever consequence my father will face,” said Cabase.

“But what we cannot accept is how people judged him without knowing the context of the video, yet many concluded negatively and believed only one side of the story,” he added.

According to him, his father had been teaching for 30 years, and the incident was the first time his father couldn’t stop himself and took the extreme path to teach his students a lesson.

“He is a loving and supportive father of four and a good husband to my mother. He is religious. They both did their best to raise us to become good people, and they did not fail. My father is a good person, and many can prove that. As of now, my father is not well. He couldn’t eat or sleep well. You can see the regret in his face,” he stated.

Meanwhile, several teachers expressed their support for the Cabase family, saying that they could understand the situation.

As of this writing, DepEd has yet to provide any statement on the issue.

Veteran showbiz reporter Jobert Sucaldito challenged Dominic Roque and Bea Alonzo to update the netizens about the current status of their relationship.

In his vlog, OOTD, Jobert revealed the information he received from his source, who claimed that he had caught Dominic with Bea.

“Habang nag-Zoom meeting siya, meron sa likod na boses na nagsalita. Boses ni Bea. But I’m not confirming if it’s Bea ang nagsalita. [Ang sinabi] ‘Hon, gusto mo ba ng tacos?’” said Jobert.

“Ang ginawa niya agad ay kanyang ni-mute ‘yung kanyang phone,” he added.

According to Jobert, Dominic should disclose the identity of the woman to avoid confusing the netizens.

“Kung hindi si Bea ‘yon, sino ‘yon? Ano ‘yun, agad-agad naka-move on na siya, na may girlfriend na siyang bago? Wala tayong nababalitaang ganyan,” he said.

“Hon ang tawagan nila [ni Bea], di ba? Eto ha, kaboses ni Bea. Sakaling nagkabalikan nga ang dalawa, matutuloy na kaya ang kasal?” he added.

It can be recalled that Bea and Dominic announced their breakup after being engaged for several months but refused to disclose the reason behind it.

As of writing, Dominic has yet to give any response to Jobert’s challenge.

Rapper Gloc-9, Aristotle Pollisco, in real life, made a huge revelation about the real story behind his popular song, Sirena.

It can be recalled that the rapper captured the support of the LGBTQIA+ community in 2012 after he released the said song, which is about the determination of a gay person to keep his identity.

The music video of Sirena also went viral on social media and even featured several LGBT activists, including Boy Abunda.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Gloc-9 admitted that he dedicated the song to his son, who is part of the LGBT community.

According to him, he had already noticed his son’s identity.

“My son is gay. Nu’ng sinulat ko ‘yun, hindi niya pa sinasabi sa amin. Hindi ko alam kung paano ko sasabihin sa anak ko na, kung gaano ko siya kamahal,” he stated.

“Hindi naman ako ma-showbiz and I think para sabihin ko ito now, ako ay proud na proud sa anak ko. Ako ay excited sa kung ano man ang kaya niyang ma-achieve sa buhay niya.

“Minsan iniisip ko how life gives you hints of magic here and there. Nu’ng natapos ko ‘yung ‘Sirena’, hindi ko naman alam. And I don’t mind. Anak ko ‘yun,”

A seafood restaurant called out an influencer who collaborated with them via an ‘x’ deal for bringing 20 people to fulfill their free food offer.

In a Facebook post, Bay-Bay Seafood Grill at La Union said that vlogger FynestChina offered to promote their restaurant in exchange for free food, which they granted as they thought he would only visit the establishment alone.

However, the restaurant was surprised when the vlogger brought 20 people to eat for free.

“We were caught off-guard when they arrived with a large group of 20 people. As a small business, we strive to maintain fairness and transparency with our customers, and we were not prepared to accommodate such a significant number of guest for free,” the restaurant said.

Bay-Bay said that they had already told the FynestChina manager about the incident where the influencer used photos and videos taken at the restaurant without their consent.

“It’ is essential to recognize that social media platforms allow for freedom of expression and content sharing, which sometimes leads to unauthorized use of images or information. As a business, we do not have direct control over what others post about us, but we strive to maintain a positive reputation and uphold the highest standards of integrity,” they stated.

Andrea Brillantes couldn’t stop herself from ‘fangirling’ after she personally met musician Rico Blanco during an event.

In her Instagram story, Andrea could be seen posing together with Rico who’s currently in a relationship with Maris Racal.

Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla was unbothered by the criticism she received on social media after she had a glutathione drip session in her husband’s office, Sen. Robin Padilla, at the senate.

In her statement, Mariel said that she was aware of the negative reactions by netizens and several public figures, including Sen. Nancy Binay.

However, instead of stopping from promoting glutathione dripping, she would still hold live sessions to advertise the product.

She insisted that there was nothing wrong with what she did.

Mariel also clarified that the session already passed the office hours.

“In my heart, [wala] akong tinapakan na kahit sinong tao. Kung may na-offend, sorry, pero walang intention na maka-offend,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Health Reform Advocate Tony Leachon said that Mariel’s act would affect the Senate’s image and promote bad medical practice.

It’s not yet known if the Senate’s ethics chair, Nancy Binay would try to find out if Mariel’s actions would be against the rules of the institution.

“I’m not sure if the Ethics Committee can extend its jurisdiction dito sa nangyaring insidente since hindi naman member ng Senado si Ms. Mariel. But we also need to closely look into it because it involves issues of conduct, integrity, and reputation of the Institution and matters that concern health and safety,” she said.

Mariel Rodriguez received criticism on social media after she posted a photo of her while having a glutathione drip session inside her husband’s office, Robin Padilla, at the Senate.

In the said post, Mariel even advertised the product, saying she could do her drip session anywhere.

“I had an appointment with @dripinluxeph but I was going to be late so I had it done in my husband’s office hehe,” said Mariel.

The photo received negative comments from the netizens.

Cristy Fermin set the record straight: She would never apologize to Dominic Roque for featuring the model actor several times on her show.

In her statement, Cristy said that she would never apologize for a word she never uttered.

She insisted that she was not the one who disclosed Dominic’s link to several male politicians who allegedly provided him gifts.

“Hindi ako hihingi sa iyo ng patawad. Ni paumanhin ipagdadamot ko dahil kahit minsan,
hindi ko sinabi na si Dominic Roque ay nakatira sa isang condo unit na pag-aari ng isang baklang politiko,” said Cristy.

“Wala akong binanggit na ganun. Wala akong sinabing anuman,” she added.

In her previous statement, Cristy criticized Dominic for seeking a lawyer’s help.

She even blamed influencer Xian Gaza as the one who disclosed the said rumors.

“Ngayon, Dominic Roque, napakaselan mo, napaka-sensitibo mo. Public figure ka pero lumalabas dito sa iyong pinalabas na opisyal na pahayag sa pamamagitan ng iyong mga abogado, na ayaw mong may naririnig at nababasa na para sa iyo ay hindi kagandahan na kwento,” she said.

Ai-Ai delas Alas disclosed why Jiro Manio’s father, Yusuke Katakura, was mostly absent throughout the former child actor’s life.

In an interview with pep.ph, Ai-Ai said that she successfully traced Jiro’s father without the actor’s knowledge.

Richard Gutierrez is reportedly planning to file a child custody case against Sarah Lahbati.

In her program, Cristy said that Richard would prioritize the custody of his children, Zion and Kai, before annulling his marriage with Sarah.

Cristy even said that Richard has the right to file a case if he sees Sarah not paying too much attention to their children.
