Ai-Ai delas Alas disclosed why Jiro Manio’s father, Yusuke Katakura, was mostly absent throughout the former child actor’s life.
In an interview with pep.ph, Ai-Ai said that she successfully traced Jiro’s father without the actor’s knowledge.
Unfortunately, Ai-Ai said that Mr. Katakura lost his trust in talking to Filipinos after Jiro’s grandmother didn’t give Jiro the money he had been sending.
“Ayaw na niya na nakikipag-usap sa mga Pilipino. Parang nawalan siya ng tiwala sa mga Pilipino. Masyado siyang nasaktan dahil hindi raw nakarating ang mga tulong na ipinadala niya sa lola ni Jiro,” Ai-Ai said.
Mr. Katakura also admitted that he was disappointed when Jiro didn’t even recognize him during his peak as a child actor.
“Saka hindi raw siya naalaala noong kasikatan ni Jiro bilang artista,” she stated
It can be recalled that Ai-Ai helped Jiro in 2015 when the actor was found sleeping at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Unfortunately, Ai-Ai’s assistance to Jiro turned to waste after the latter kept involving himself in trouble.
Jiro went viral again on social media after selling his Gawad Urian Trophy for only P75,000 to splurge for his Holiday Vacation with his relatives.
