Actress Andi Eigenmann made a response to the rumors about her separation with Philmar Alipayo.

In her Instagram post, Andi laughed at the reports that she was single again, saying that she was clueless about the rumors as she was busy traveling with her brother and children.

“I literally just went on a vacation with my brother and our kids, and come home to find out, through the internet, that I’ve just been separated,” she wrote with a laughing emoji.

She also addressed the rumors that she was not really sad with the loss of her mother, Jaclyn Jose.

“The internet didn’t seem to like that I was grieving the loss of my nanay. Apparently, according to them, I had been faking my sadness about it all along (Not enough social media posts perhaps?) Due to this, the internet has decided that the reason for my sadness is not that I have recently been an orphan but in fact, a divorcee (even if I had never been married,” she stated.

In a separate post, Andi said that she went to travel to grieve to the untimely loss of her mother.

“My grief is a lot of me hoping that your soul, spirit [and] energy went somewhere as beautiful as you; and even more of me missing the being, body [and] person that once held it all,” she said.

“When I walk around this city and I remember that heading home to see her, to sit around, to chat and cackle for hours on end, cannot be an option anymore, I think to myself, ‘So this is what it feels like to drown.’” she added.

‘Nanlaban kasi’ Cedric Lee, sinabing sinaktan din sila noon ni Vhong Navarro

Businessman Cedric Lee insisted that there was a lack of elements to prove that he must face reclusion due to their actions against television host Vhong Navarro in 2014.

In an interview, Lee said that the television host also harmed some of his colleagues who fetched Navarro from Deniece Cornejo’s condo.

“Kung wala ‘yung mga elements, hindi talata pasok ‘yon,” said Cedric. “The most, ‘yung nagkasakitan lang, ‘di ba? Pumalag din naman siya [Vhong] so nagkasakitan lang,”

According to him, no one should be put behind bars due to simple commotion.

However, Navarro’s camp said that the television host was helpless when he was captured by Lee’s group.

The reports indicated that Navarro was tied up and blindfolded by Lee’s men and even demanded money from the television host.

Lee said they would likely appeal the decision before the Court of Appeals to prove that the businessman was innocent.

The businessman was already transferred to Muntinlupa to serve his sentence which was up to 40 years.

Meanwhile, Vhong has yet to release an official statement on the decision of the court against Lee and Cornejo.

Social media celebrity Whamos Cruz was criticized on social media after he allegedly used some clips of a videographer without permission.

In a Facebook post, JAK Seventy-Three noticed that the clips he took were used on Whamos’ “Piliin mo ang Pilipinas” entry.

JAK pointed out that the festival videos used by Whamos were his clips.

Whamos didn’t ask him for permission to use the said clips.

After being called out, Whamos credited JAK by putting his name in the video’s comment section.

However, many netizens believed that JAK should not be satisfied with being credited, as Whamos earned much money from his video.

“Kikita siya sa vid na yan. Wag papayag sa credit lang. Charge royalties,” netizen Reiner said.

“This is so sad. Maraming mga ganito eh. They even call themselves content Creators pero nakaw nmn yung mga contents,” netizen Mark remarked.

“Kasuhan mo. wag tanggapin ang apologies, kasi nacall out. Andami nilang time magedit pero walang time humingi ang permit sa original owner,” netizen Deck commented.

It can be recalled that Whamos claimed earlier that they produced the video and took the clips in just two days.

As of writing, JAK has yet to give any statement on his possible next steps.

More stories were being disclosed about the controversial event attended by Francine Diaz and Orange and Lemons.

On April 30, 2024, the event held in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, became controversial after Francine appeared on stage even if Orange and Lemons were already set to perform during that time.

Francine’s sudden appearance prompted the OPM band to leave the stage.

A netizen shared a video taken at the backstage before the controversial event.

It can be seen that Francine was already preparing to exit the stage when Orange and Lemons passed over her, as they were supposed to perform first before the actress.

Netizens noticed Francine’s reaction, speculating that she was not already in a good mood that day.

There were reports that Francine’s camp really wanted the actress to perform earlier than the intended schedule, which resulted in her snatching away the time of Orage and Lemons.

Francine’s mother also said that she didn’t want her daughter to perform at 2 A.M., so they asked the organizers to change the schedule suddenly.

“Yung kasama niyo po na mapula ang buhok ang nakakagulo sa banda niyo. At sana sa nag organize ng event, April 30 ang event [at] hindi May 1, gusto niyo mag perform anak ko ng 2am tama po ba ‘yan? Hindi pwede basta nalang ako manahimik,” said Mrs. Diaz.

According to event staff, the incident may not have happened if Francine’s camp had just arrived earlier to inform the organizers.

The staff said that Francine didn’t receive permission from the organizers to perform earlier.

“Since they come late, walang proper staff or organizer ang nasabihan an gusto an mauna ni FD. Some woman just began screaming backstage, calling the hosts, para palabasin si FD,” the staff wrote.

Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon received criticism after he joked about his co-host Miles Ocampo’s increasing weight.

During the recent episode of Eat Bulaga, several hosts of the show greeted Miles who celebrated her birthday last May 1.

Some hosts, including Tito Sotto gave their birthday message to Miles.

“Wala akong masabi kundi Pataas! Pataas ‘yung edad eh,” said Tito.

However, netizens raised their eyebrows when Joey suddenly made a remark about Miles’ weight.

“Pataba! Ay pababa,” said Joey as he tried to incorporate the song he wrote ‘Spaghetti’ into Tito’s birthday message to Miles.

It can be recalled that Miles underwent an operation on her Thyroid being diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma.

The doctors removed her Thyroid, which resulted in different side effects, including weight gain.

Miles’ thyroid removal slowed down her metabolism, leading to weight gain.

“Galing pa akong trabaho po noon bago ko i-meeting yung doctor, so parang, ako at that time, frustrated na ako kasi yung weight ko ang iniisip ko na parang, ‘Anong nangyayari? Ginagawa ko naman yung part ko,” she said.

However, Miles’ weight gain may be the best option, as her previous condition may have made her situation worse.

Cedric Lee insisted that the charges filed against him by Vhong Navarro were false.

It can be recalled that Lee was found guilty of illegally locking up Navarro in 2014 after they caught him inside Deniece Cornejo’s condominium unit.

In a statement, Cedric said that they didn’t even put Navarro under their custody for more than a day.

He also believed that the decision of the court was too much.

“Nagkasakitan lang ng kaunti… Hindi naman dapat magkaroon ng reclusion perpetua para sa bugbugan lang,” said Cedric.

Navarro’s state after the incident was well-publicized, and they even stayed at St. Luke’s Hospital for two weeks due to his condition.

Lee’s legal team was preparing to appeal the decision before the Court of Appeals.

Meanwhile, Navarro’s supporters asked Lee to stop talking and let his lawyer release statements.

“Cedric let your lawyer speak,” a netizen said.

“You have the right to remain silent, Cedric,” another netizen commented.

Francine Diaz’s mother, Merdick Saenz Diaz, appealed to Orange and Lemons to respect their daughter after the OPM band walked out during an event in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, on May 1, 2024.

In her now-deleted Facebook post, Mrs. Diaz accused one of the companions of the OPM band as the one who started the confusion between the two camps.

It can be recalled that Orange and Lemons was preparing to perform when the host suddenly called Francine to climb onto the stage, which prompted the band to go backstage.

According to them, they had already asked the band if Francine wanted to appear earlier than the original schedule.

It can be recalled that one of the staff of the event blamed the actress’ manager for the incident, saying that they made a request to the organizers to let Francine perform earlier.

Cristy Fermin, hindi nasisindak sa isinampa sa kanya ni Bea Alonzo: “We will see you in court!”

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin made a response to the charges filed by actress Bea Alonzo against her.

On May 2, 2024, Bea filed three separate charges against Cristy and talent manager Ogie Diaz before the Quezon City Prosecutors Office.

According to Bea, Ogie and Cristy allegedly made false claims against her and spread them using their online shows and newspaper columns.

Bea also cited that Ogie and Cristy claimed that she was not paying the right taxes.

On her online program, Cristy Ferminute, the veteran columnist said it was really part of their job to face charges.

She also opposed Bea’s camp’s statement and denied that they’re only creating content about the actress to get views and earn money.

“Ang mga programa namin ay hindi dinesenyo para lamang kay Bea Alonzo, ito po ay para ibalita ang lahat ng kwento, positibo man o hindi tungkol sa mga personalidad na kung tawagin natin ay public figures,” she said.

“At bilang pampublikong pigura sila ay kami naman po ‘yung nagtatawid ng mga balita tungkol sa kanila,” she added.

Cristy also said that she was the one defending Bea when she was facing issues in the past.

The veteran columnist also didn’t consider settling the issue with Bea.

“Ang publiko ay nakatanaw sa inyo, bawat galaw niyo, bawat ikot niyo marami ang nakatanaw. Wala kayong maaring ligtasan. Kaya public figures kayo, huwag masyadong balat-sibuyas,” said Cristy.

‘Hindi pa tapos ang laban!’ Cedric Lee at Deniece Cornejo, aapela para lumabas ang katotohanan na inosente sila

Businessman Cedric Lee and model Deniece Cornejo said that their legal battle has yet to be over.

On May 2, 2024, the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 153 found Lee and Cornejo guilty of the charges filed against them by Vhong Navarro, which resulted for them to face reclusión perpetua.

Both Lee and Cornejo already surrendered to the authorities, but it was reported that they would appeal the decision to the higher court.

Lee’s legal team was already preparing to appeal the decision before the Court of Appeals and hoping that the “truth” will come out.

Meanwhile, Cornejo’s team has yet to reveal their plans, but it was expected that they would exhaust all legal remedies for their client.

In a statement, Lee said that Navarro should be the one be put behind bars and not Cornejo as he insisted that the model was the real victim.

“Itong isa, ang dami nang nabiktima, nakalaya pa, nagsasayaw pa sa show niya,” said Lee.

Meanwhile, Navarro’s legal team said that the television host was happy with the decision.

“He was very happy na this 10-year struggle is finally—has closure and that justice was served. We’re very happy,” Navarro’s lawyer, Atty. Bon Arcilla said.

Staff ng event kung saan nag-walk out ang Orange and Lemons dahil kay Francine Diaz, nagsalita

One of the staff who participated in the controversial event in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, explained why Kapamilya actress Francine Diaz suddenly appeared on stage while OPM band Orange and Lemons was already on the platform to perform.

It can be recalled that Francine’s sudden appearance during the event prompted Orange and Lemons members to leave the stage.

Fortunately, Orange and Lemons kept their cool but didn’t waste the opportunity to address the fans and other artists to respect their colleagues.

“Gusto ko lang manghingi ng paumanhin pero kailangan ko lang sabihin ‘to… Para sa mga artist, sana naman walang sumisingit… Respeto lang ba?” Clem said.

What really happened?

According to netizen Jershey Kyle Cadiao, who was part of the event’s production team, Francine’s manager allegedly pushed the organizers to introduce the actress to the fans, disregarding the presence of Orange and Lemons on stage.

“Hindi po namin alam kung sino po ang susundin namin, nasa program po lahat, na last po si ma’am Francine, pero siningit po ng manager ni ma’am Francine na siya unahin kahit hindi po nila nasabihan ang orange & lemon,” she said.

She also defended the production team, saying that incident was a result of misunderstanding between Francine’s camp, Orange and Lemons, and the event organizers.

“May program po kaming sinusunod, hindi lang po nagkaintindihan ‘yung manager, organizer, at host ng event. Kami po kung ano lang ‘yung sinabi nila ‘yun lang po sinusunod namin, kaya po kahit kami nagulat sa nangyari,” she added.

She also insisted that they didn’t neglect their role and even tried to ask the organizers every five minutes to get an update about the program flow, hinting that Francine’s appearance on stage was really sudden.
