Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque insisted that the Eat Bulaga trademark was still registered under her client, Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.

During a press conference on December 13, the lawyer clarified that TAPE could still use the Eat Bulaga title on their show as the decision of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) has not yet been considered final.

It can be recalled that IPOPHL removed the trademark ownership of TAPE over Eat Bulaga branding following the complaint filed by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon against their former production company.

She said that the IPO’s website would support their claims.

“If you check the website of the IPO, makikita niyo pa rin po doon na ‘yun pong status ng registration ng TAPE Incorparated sa ‘Eat Bulaga’ sa IPO ay still registered pa rin po siya. So, you can check it up today, ang registration status ng TAPE Incorporated for ‘Eat Bulaga’ ay still registered po sa kanila existing pa rin and valid,” said lawyer.

“As regards to the status of the application of Joey De Leon for trademark registration, up to this date po, makikita n’yo po sa website, and I can attest to that, ang nakalagay pa rin po ay pending. So pending pa rin po ‘yung kanyang application for registration.” she added.

Atty. Garduque also pointed out that the trademark had not yet been granted to De Leon.

“Ang posisyon po ng TAPE Incorporated as of now, we still have the registration of the trademark of ‘Eat Bulaga.’ As you can see from the website of the IPO, there’s still no award being given to Joey De Leon as regards to the registration or trademark registration of ‘Eat Bulaga,” she stated.

“Kaya po ang posiyon po ng TAPE Incorporated ay maarin pa rin po naming gamitin ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ sa aming show kasi nasa amin pa rin ang trademark registration.Until such time na may pinal na desisyon na hindi na namin ito puwedeng gamitin,” she also said.

Sarah Lahbati shared an unfortunate incident while driving her newly bought car on Thursday.

Veteran columnist Cristy Fermin mulled charges against Liza Soberano’s father, John Soberano after he posted negative messages against the former.

In the said post, John directly criticized Cristy and called her out for allegedly interfering with other people’s lives.

He also criticized Liza’s former manager, Ogie Diaz.

KathNiel fans couldn’t help but talk about the meeting between Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla during the ABS-CBN’s Christmas Special last December 14, 2023.

Amid the talks about the biggest breakup of the year, Kathryn and Daniel still performed together and even showed sweetness after their performance.

After they saw the video, some fans got a glimpse of hope that there was still a chance for the two to reconcile.

It can be recalled that Kathryn and Daniel confirmed their breakup but refused to disclose the reason.

Talent manager Annabelle Rama couldn’t hide her happiness after she realized that veteran columnist Cristy Fermin defended her.

In her Facebook post, Annabelle narrated her initial reaction when she heard that Cristy was defending her and Richard Gutierrez from critics.

At first, she was unconvinced that the veteran columnist was really defending her due to their bitter past.

“Pag gising ko kaninang umaga maraming text ako natanggap at mga missed calls from my friends na tunay na nakaka kilala at nag mamahal sa akin. At sabi nila ay may maganda daw silang nabasa sa facebook na sinulat ng number one kong kalaban at pinagtatanggol ako this time. Di ako naniwala at baka kako fake news na naman at ginamit lang ang pangalan niya,” she said.

“Nang kumakain na kami, sinabi ng anak ko, na maganda raw ang sinulat ng nasabing reporter at ipinagtanggol ako, kako baka fake, kaya pina check ko sa PR ng Gutierrez family at na confirmed nga niya na legit iyon account at siya nga mismo ang sumulat,” she added.

According to Annabelle, she even criticized Cristy last year after the latter talked negatively about Jinky Pacquiao, who was a close friend of the Gutierrez family.

“This time lumambot ang puso ko sa kanya, dahil nanay rin siya at may mga anak rin at alam nya na tama ang ginagawa ko sa pag kampi ko sa anak ko, kaya nya ako naintindihan,” she stated.

It can be recalled that Annabelle and Cristy faced each other at the Supreme Court after the talent manager filed charges against the latter.

The case was related to the article written by Fermin in 1995, which claimed that the Gutierrez couple pocketed the proceeds from the sale of a company.

The court ordered Fermin to pay P1-M and P6,000 fines to the coupe.

Raymond Gutierrez went viral on social media after he uploaded several photos together with his boyfriend, Robert William.

Content creator Jam Magno clarified that she was never put behind bars after a warrant was served to her related to the RA 9262 case filed against her.

In her Facebook post, Jam insisted that she surrendered to the authorities and quickly posted bail worth 72,000.

She also explained why she smiled during her booking procedure.

Aside from Magno, Dr. Lorraine Badoy, who’s also a supporter of the former administration, was cited in contempt by the lawmakers and was detained.

Cristy Fermin defended Richard Gutierrez from the netizens who called him ‘bondying’ for letting his mother, Annabelle Rama, speak about his rumored separation from Sarah Lahbati.

Bondying is a word for a person who is immature or who never grew past childhood.

It can be recalled that while Richard kept mum, Annabelle spoke about what she knew about her son’s private matters.

However, Cristy believed that it would be only normal for parents to defend their children.

“Ang daming namba-bash kay Richard ngayon na nagmistulang bondying, ‘Para kang bondying, ipinaglalaban ka ng nanay mo. Ikaw ang involve dito, bakit hindi ikaw ang humarap sa problema n’yong mag-asawa.’ Alam n’yo po kapagkaganito kasi hindi na natin pinag-uusapan kung bondying ba ‘yung anak o ano,” said Cristy.
