Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla reportedly lost four brand endorsements following his breakup with Kathryn Bernardo.

According to a report published by Abante, Daniel lost big time after the brands removed him as an endorser but kept Kathryn with them.

“Yung apat daw ha, supposedly na endorsement nilang dalawa ni Kathryn Bernardo, diumano ha, according to our source… ay kay Kathryn na lang daw ibinigay,” Marisol University host Mildred Bacud said.

The news fueled more speculation about why Daniel sold his vehicle and put up his 600-square-meter house for sale.

Netizens also believed that the bad publicity received by Daniel due to his alleged cheating on Kathryn several times discouraged the brands from keeping him as an endorser.

Daniel was linked to Andrea Brillantes, Liza Soberano, Gillian Vicencio, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and several models.

Meanwhile, Daniel’s mother, Karla Estrada, insisted that her son was not a liar.

As of writing, Daniel, who’s currently out of the country, has yet to give a statement on the said rumors.

The camp of Ian Veneracion was mulling charges against Director Ronaldo Carballo, who publicly complained about the actor’s talent fee, which was allegedly worth P500,000.

It can be recalled that Ronaldo said that Tarlac City Government refused to hire Ian after they discovered that the camp of the actor was allegedly asking for a half a million talent fee for the first two hours of his appearance in a parade plus another P100,000 for every exceeding hour.

“OA ang 500k for a parade kahit limang oras pa. Buti kung binabayaran si Ian ng kahit 200k per day taping magdamag, kung may teleserye sya o may pelikula sya,” he said.

“Hetong 500k na hinihingi ya, kakaway-kaway lang sya sa parada,” he added.

However, in an interview with Inquirer, Ian’s management said that they were already studying legal actions against Ronaldo for allegedly posting false information about their talent.

“Rather than verifying the information (on Veneracion’s talent fee), Mr. Carballo appears to have engaged in online behavior that undermines these principles in an attempt to publicly humiliate our client and our team,” Ian’s management wrote.

They also said that Carballo didn’t respect the confidentiality of the negotiation between their management and the Tarlac City Government.

Ian’s management also clarified that they never asked for an additional talent fee for every excess hour.

“Contrary to the claims, we did not request any additional charges. Our terms were clear, especially regarding the hours required for the event, and at no point did we ask for a solo float,” they said.

They also tried to reach Ronaldo personally, but the director blocked them.

As of writing, Ronaldo has yet to give his response to the issue.

The Pasay City Regional Trial Court issued a warrant against influencer and musician Toni Fowler after being charged for her allegedly committing cybercrime due to her rated SPG music video.

It can be recalled that Toni faced charges after the Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcaster ng Pilipinas, Inc. (KSMBPI) filed complaint against her, saying that her music video KPL should not be consumed by the public.

They believed that freedom of expression should have limits and Toni crossed it.

“Kasi when you say freedom of press or freedom of expression, hindi absolute ‘yan. May mga limitation ang freedom of press… the second limitation is Article 201 of the RPC. Ito ‘yung nagbibigay ng indecent publication,” KSMBPI’s legal counsel, Atty. Mark Tolentino said.

The complainant added that there was a minor involved on the music video.

After the warrant was issued on January 17, 2024, Toni quickly posted bail which amounted to PHP120,000 to gain her temporary freedom while the case was being heard.

As of writing, Toni has yet to give a statement on the case she was facing.

Aside from Toni, the same group also filed charges against Vice Ganda for performing alleged indecent acts in front of several childre on It’s Showtime.

Despite being one of the richest celebrities in the showbiz industry, Gretchen Barretto caught the netizens off-guard after she was spotted together with businessman Atong Ang looking for a gadget at a popular mall in San Juan.

In a post on social media, Grethen and Atong were seen at the Greenhills Mall in San Juan, a place known for offering below-suggested retail price gadgets and other goods.

“Ganda naman ni maam Gretchen Barretto,” the uploader said.

Netizens were surprised as Gretchen and Atong were known to be wealthy enough to buy gadgets in high-end malls to shop more privately, but they still chose to visit the crowded Greenhills Mall.

“Support local. Kahit sa Greenhills, legit ang phone jan. Basta nasa tamang store ka,” netizen Sangre said.

However, some netizens questioned why Gretchen accompanied Atong, fueling the speculations about the real relationship between the two.

Gretchen and Atong were seen several times in public and even spotted holding hands together.

It can be recalled that Atong has already clarified several times that he was only Gretchen’s close friend.

“Si Gretchen malapit siya sa asawa ko,” said Atong.

He also explained that they sometimes held each other’s hands because he was a gentleman.

“Gentleman tayo, tatawid tayo, maglalakad tayo, alangan naman hindi mo hawakan ang isang tao, maski yung kasama niya. Ang anak ko nga, lagi kong kaakbay, e,” he stated.

Gretchen was in a relationship with Antonio “Tony” Cojuangco Jr.

Gelli de Belen admitted that she did everything to prove the infidelity of John Estrada, the former partner of her sister, Janice de Belen.

During an interview with Karen Davila, Gelli and Janice shared their story with the netizens, including the latter’s investigation of John’s unloyalty.

Gelli said she had already heard several rumors about John and informed Janice about it.

However, Janice turned a blind eye to what John was allegedly doing.

“Feeling ko kontrabida lang siya,” Janice said.

Rendon Labador asked public officials to investigate the alleged rigging of the lotto results after the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office posted a heavily edited photo of one of the lottery winners.

In his Facebook post, Rendon couldn’t hide his disappointment towards PCSO officials for allegedly trying to cash the lotto prizes.

In a video, he said that the lawmakers should take an action immediately to find out if there was a corruption happening under PCSO.

“Naglabas ang PCSO ng edited winner ng ₱43 million. Ano ‘yan, meron na naman bang yumaman sa PCSO? Bakit n’yo ginagawang t*ng* ang buong Pilipinas? Meanwhile, PCSO General Manager Mel Robles admitted that the photo was edited to hide the identity of the winner.

They insisted that the winner had the right to protect himself from being identified as they’re holding great amount of money.

Despite being silent on the Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo breakup issue, Andrea Brillantes was still receiving mentions from some netizens every time the Kapamilya actor was being discussed on social media.

This time, a car agent who handled the selling of Daniel’s sports car mentioned Andrea and even made a post about the alleged underwear left by the actress on the vehicle.

In his Facebook post, Franz Akeem Aldover made a post asking Daniel why he left Andrea’s underwear in the car.

“Awit sayo Daniel ! Yung panty ni Andrea naiwan mo sa compartment ng Corvette mo . Ako pa tuloy yung Pinag hinalaan ng GF ko na may babae,” Franz said.

The said vehicle was being sold for more than P6-M and bought by a live streamer.

Several netizens, including Andrea’s fans, didn’t like what Franz said.

“Gusto mo lang sumikat, nandamay ka pa,” netizen Miguel said.

“Ikaw ha pano mo nalaman na panty ni Andrea yon?” netizen Christine asked.

It can be recalled that Andrea was being blamed by the netizens for the breakup of Kathryn and Daniel after Ogie Diaz disclosed the alleged secret meeting between the two celebrities.

Andrea refused to respond to the rumors.

Daniel Padilla’s house in Quezon City had already been put up for sale for millions of pesos several days after he sold his sports car.

The property was listed on Best Deal Property PH’s social media site.

Daniel’s 600-square-meter house included a six-bedroom, wide living area, dining area, two kitchens, dining room area, and walk-in closet. It also features a storage room, electric room, laundry area, and room for house staff.

They’re selling the property he shared with his mother, Karla Estrada, and his siblings for P50-M.

It can be recalled that the house was also featured on KrisTV, where Daniel toured the television house Kris Aquino around his property, resulting from his hard work as an actor.

Several netizens speculated that Daniel was having financial issues due to his breakup with his ex-girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo, with whom he shared contracts.

Others said Daniel was allegedly planning to leave the country for good to avoid the bad publicity produced by the breakup.

Jessie Virtudazo heeded the summon from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) on January 17 to answer why he confronted several motorists who captured and uploaded on social media.

It can be recalled that Jessie went viral three times after he was captured arguing with vehicle owners and accusing them of not driving safely.

In an interview with the press, Virtudazo said that he would not say anything about what he did, believing that it would not change the opinion of the people.

He also insisted that the Lord was with him in this issue.

“This is what I can tell you… I am his [Lord] champion,” Virtudazo said. “So kahit anong gawin ninyo diyan, kahit na patumbahin niyo pa ko sa kalsada, I will still rise up again,” 

Meanwhile, LTO officials said that they would review the reason given by Virtudazo which related to his mental health problems.

According to them, they would study if Virtudazo, who’s also being called ‘Vin Unleaded’ and ‘Mang Boy Jr.,’ was still fit enough to drive a vehicle based on the attitude he showed towards other motorists.

“Hihingi tayo ng consultation from a specialist for further check up kung fit to drive siya,” he stated.
