After only two weeks, a television network in Indonesia decided to stop the airing of ABS-CBN’s Darna.

According to Sobat TV Indonesia, the possible decision of the television network ANTV to end its airing of Darna was because of the ratings it was receiving.

It was rumored that Darna was going to be replaced with a local program titled ‘Garis Tangan’

Some reports also said that Darna was not fit to be watched by the majority of Indonesian fans who were followers of Islam.

Indonesia was known to be a conservative country and it’s known for regulating every piece of content being aired on television.

It can be recalled that Darna’s costume was blurred several times because it’s considered as ‘revealing’ to the Indonesian watchers.

“May pagkakataon pa raw na hindi na makita ang bidang aktres na si Jane de Leon na nakasuot ng Darna costume dahil sa sobrang pag-blur sa kanya sa show,” @holaphofficial said.

As of writing, ABS-CBN has yet to release a statement on the decision of ANTV to stop the airing of Darna.

It can be remembered that fans of ABS-CBN celebrated the airing of Darna in Indonesia, saying that it was evidence that the said program was well-received internationally.

Street performer and mime artist Jhonwel Reyes who was popularly known by his aliases Tito Noel’ and ‘Green Soldier’ made a statement after receiving criticisms for the past few days.

It can be remembered that Reyes received negative comments on social media after he answered back to a netizen who was only making jokes about the color of his baby.

The issue started when Reyes posted a maternity photo of his wife and some netizens jokingly asked if his baby would become green also like his famous costume.

Instead of riding to the joke as comedians do usually, Reyes took the gag seriously and even criticized the netizens for saying something about his baby.

He even asked the netizens to stop making jokes about his baby.

“Hindi ko alam kung bakit masyadong maraming apektado masyado, ang daming kumakalat na hindi magagandang salita sa picture namin ng mahal ko,” Reyes said in now-deleted video.

“Gusto ko lang sabihin na sana magkaroon po tayo ng simpleng respeto sa kasiyahan ng bawat tao. Syempre napakalinaw ‘yung anak ko, normal na tao yun syempre, naka-custome lang naman ako eh, alangan naman na maging iba talaga ang kulay ng anak ko,” he added.

However, instead of following Reyes more netizens started to criticize the internet celebrity and some called him ‘onion-skinned’ and a ‘crybaby’.

He then responded to the criticisms telling the netizens to avoid doing mistakes.

Reyes also apologized for what he did but he couldn’t stop himself from saying that one mistake was enough for the netizens to forget how many times he made them laugh.

“IWASAN PO NATING MAGKAMALI SA BUHAY.  ANDAAN ANG HIRAP MAHUSGAHAN MASKI ANUPANG MAGANDANG BAGAY NA NAGAWA MO O ANUMANG KABUTIHANG NAIDULOT MO SA KAPWA MO, KAPAG NAGKAMALI KA KAHIT ISANG BESES LANG LAHAT NG YUN WALA NA. BURADO NA,” he said.

“IYAKIN NA KUNG IYAKIN TAMA NA PO, AYOKO NG MAKIPAG SABAYAN MAS LALO NG PUMAPANGIT ANG ALON. Pero kung jan kayo nagiging masaya sa pandudurog sakin Sige lang po. Basta ako ayoko na pass na tlga ako,” he added.

Reyes became popular on social media after his street performances became viral on social media.

During the peak of his career, thousands of netizens went to watch him personally and made him earn thousands of pesos every day.

Vice Ganda became viral on social media after he announced his plans to have a child via surrogacy.

The comedian shared his plans in an interview, saying that he really wanted to build a family now with his partner Ion Perez.

But before Vice, the surrogacy became more popular in the country because of billionaire Joel Cruz who spent millions of pesos to have children.

Because he was self-proclaimed ‘gay’, Cruz prefer to have children via surrogacy where he was still considered as a ‘biological father’ of his children.

According to him, he already spent 52-M just to have 8 children.

Cruz who’s the owner of multi-billion perfume company ‘Afficionado’ was also open to introduce the surrogate mothers to the public.

“Initially, you have to pay six million pesos, ‘yun ‘yung pag-accept ng program. Hindi sila titigil hangga’t hindi ka nagkakanak. But of course, you have to pay for the extra procedures [na] umaabot ng 12 million pesos,” Cruz said in an interview.

Surrogacy was an agreement between two parties which a woman would be contacted to carry a child in her womb for someone else.

‘Surrogate mothers’ earned millions of pesos if they successfully carry the child.

Most of the clients of surrogacy are those who are not capable of carrying a pregnancy.

There are two kinds of surrogacy, the traditional and gestotional surrogacy.

Traditional surrogacy is when a surrogate mother cares for the embryo formed from the father’s sperm and the egg of the surrogate mother. While in gestational surrogacy, the surrogate gestates an embryo from other woman’s egg and the father’s sperm.

In short, children born from traditional surrogacy was biologicallyrelated to the surrogate mother while the baby formed by gestational surrogacy is not related to the surrogate mother.

According to a report, Vice was required to spent around 5-9 million pesos for a single child.

A video of an alleged incident of infidelity has gone viral on social media and already reached 10-M views as of writing.

The video was about a wife of a seaman being caught sleeping with a ‘barangay tanod’.

It can be heard that the uploader was trying to lecture the ‘wife’ about the hardship being experienced by her husband abroad while she was doing unfaithful things.

However, when you visit the Facebook page of the uploader Jennifer M, it can be seen they’re just acting to show the different situations in life that netizens could relate to.

They also put a disclaimer in every video they made that their contents are for ‘entertainment purposes only’.

As of writing, the page already received thousands of new followers online.

However, most of their fans thought that the videos being uploaded were real and not reading the disclaimer.

Comedian Vice Ganda revealed that he was ready to have a baby already.

In an interview with former Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno, the comedian revealed that he was already planning to have a baby with his partner Ion Perez via surrogacy.

The process might cost them millions of pesos, but Vice said that he was ready to shell out the money just to make his dream come true.

At first, Vice was not in favor of surrogacy but his belief changed after having a relationship with Ion.

“Until I met Ion at na-build ‘tong relationship namin and I found it really so beautiful; na sabi ko na kayang-kaya naming magka-baby,” Vice said.

“Bigla lang, ‘Ay gusto ko nang magka-baby. Wala na ‘kong pakialam sa sasabihin nila. Ang mahalaga na lang ay ibi-build ko ‘yung personality ng magiging anak ko; ‘yung character niya.” he added.

He was expected to spend 5-M to 9-M pesos for the surrogacy.

When asked if what gender he wanted for his first child, Vice answered that he prefer a baby girl.

Vice also admitted that he was already excited thinking of having a child.

“Parang ngayon may ibang magic ngayon ang mga bata kapag nakakakita ako ng baby, sa loob. Gusto kong gawin sa kanila ‘yung hindi ko na-experience, ipapa-experience ko sa kanila. We will experience that together.” he said.

Surrogacy was still a controversial topic in the country, but some well-known Filipinos already used the said progress to have a child.

Businessman Joel Cruz spent nearly 54-M for the surrogacy of his eight children.

A netizen aired his complaint on social media after he claimed that he was outsmarted by a street dweller that he met.

In his post, Yopop LD Jhenny Dampil shared his story on social media about the homeless man who asked him for some money.

According to Dampil, he thought that the street dweller was a vlogger pretending to be poor so he gave all his money and expected to receive a reward for his good deeds.

However, after waiting for hours, Dampil realized that he was just outsmarted.

“Kung sino po nakakakilala oh pamilyar kay kuya paki pm naman po ako. Lumapit po kanina saken si kuya at tinatanong kung magkano ang laman ng wallet ko . Sabi ko meron naman kasi kakawithdraw ko lang ng sahod ko. Sabi nya maari ko daw ba syang bigyan. Lumingon lingon muna ako at inabot ko sa kanya ang perang lahat ng nasa wallet ko. Sabi ko pa na mas kailngan mo yan ngaun kesa saken na ako ay may inaasahan naman sasahurin sa susunod.” he said.

“Sabay sabi nya mag antay lang ako at mayroong malaking bagay na magiging kapalit. Mahigit isang oras na ako nag aantay na may lalapit saken na may camera at sasabihing social experiment lang pero mukhang na isahan ako ng akala kong vlogger at ang akala kong magkakadoble pa ako ng sahod.” he added.

Dampil called himself as a ‘comedian’ on social media so the story of the netizen might be fictional only.

Veteran actor John Regala made a mysterious message to the netizens after becoming viral several times on social media because of his condition.

It can be recalled that from being a popular action star, Regala was now having difficulties in living because of his liver condition.

After being inactive on social media for several months, the actor made a short message that made his fans worried.

“You will love me when I’m dead.” Regala said.

Last October 2020, Regala made an appeal to the netizens and to his colleagues in showbusiness to help him with his finances.

“Alam ko pong maraming nakakakilala sa nag iisang JOHN REGALA pero nitong mga nakaraan pong buwan sya po ay nahospital meron napo silang 1Month Dun, Wala napo silang mapagkuhanan ng financial araw-araw,” the actor said.

Unfortunately, his appeal didn’t catch the attention of his former colleagues, and couldn’t stop himself from expressing disappointment.

Several celebrities already extended their help to Regala before including Chuckie Dreyfus and Nadia Montenegro, however their help quickly ended after complaining about the attitude of the former action star.

“It is with deep sadness that our group has come to the decision to formally end our involvement in helping john with his medical treatment, care, and recovery,” they said.

“As much as it is our desire to see this through, these unfortunate circumstances and regretful turn of events have made it impossible for us to continue,” they added.

Dreyfus said that Regala wanted to decide for himself on how to spend the money they raised for him.

Regala then alleged that the celebrities took all the money from him.

Comedian Marietta Subong also known as ‘Pokwang’ couldn’t stop herself from taking swipe against her former partner Lee O’Brian.

It can be remembered that on January 17, Pokwang announced that her joint business with Lee, PokLee food products was already closed.

Pokwang’s colleague, Kim Atienza jokingly asked for order but the comedian made another reply, hinted that Lee was dating another girl now.

“Wala na po,  may nilalandi na siya. Hindi nag-effort na lunikin ang pride chicken para kay Tisay,” Pokwang said.

‘Tisay’ is the nickname of the child of Pokwang and Lee.

In another post, Pokwang hinted that she saw the new girl of Brian and making fun of its appearance.

“Nang makita mo pinalit ng ex mo. Huh? Akala koba ako na ang chaka? Bwahahahahaha ang cheap!!!!” Pokwang said.

Lee has yet to show his new girl to the public.

As of writing, Brian has yet to give response to Pokwang.

The two announced their divorce in July 2022 and there were rumors that the reason for their separation was related to finances.

However, Pokwang denied it saying that her ex-husband was looking after their child.

Before their separation, Pokwang and Lee launched their new business PokLee products that aimed to sell canned products to the netizens like Laing and Garlic Aligue.
