Loyalists of Francis Leo Marcos urging the internet celebrity to run for President, Vice President or Senator

Loyalists of Norman Mangusin, popularly known as Francis Leo Marcos (FLM) was urging the internet celebrity and self-proclaimed businessman to run in the 2022 elections.

In a video posted by Youtube channel Macmac Pablo FLM, he showed a survey showing that some netizens wanted Marcos to run in any position in the next elections.

However, Pablo said that he’s not really in favor of letting Marcos run for President because he feels that the internet celebrity who’s currently facing multiple charges, like illegal recruitment and estafa has not yet ready to lead the country to glory.

Some fans of Marcos insisted to let the internet celebrity to run as President and possibly rival the bet of the Duterte administration and the opposition.

The internet celebrity was currently under the custody of BJMP.

This is not the first time that someone was being pushed to run for national election despite being detained.

The camp of Marcos has yet to comment on the request of their loyalist.

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV won the senatorial election in 2007 despite being detained for rebellion and mutiny charges.

Former Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, 90, passes away

Former Senator and Manila City Mayor Alfredo Lim passed away on August 8, one day after it was announced that he was infected by COVID-19.

The cause of the demise of the veteran politician has not yet confirmed.

Yesterday, the camp of Lim asked the people to pray for the recovery of the former Manila Mayor.

Lim was a respected public servant, serving also as a police officer, the Director of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and Secretary of Interior and Local Government.

He’s known for his tough anti-crime policies during his term as Manila Mayor and earned his nickname “Dirty Harry”.

He attempted to return as Mayor of Manila, however, he was defeated by Isko Moreno Domagoso.

Lim even wished Moreno to be a President, but he’s not sure if he was still alive when that time arrived.

Actor Robin Padilla responded to former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV criticism against him.

On Thursday, Trillanes accused Padilla of giving problems in the country because he supported President Rodrigo Duterte whom he called ‘crazy’.

Padilla denied that he’s urging the public to focus on working, saying that he only wanted to convince the people to become an army reservist instead of complaining every day about what’s happening in the country.

He also reminded the former Senator that he’s the one who started many troubles in the country after he joined two Coup d’état against the government in 2003 and 2007.

The action star urged Trillanes not to drag him in politics because he’s not planning to run in 2022, unlike the former Senator, according to Padilla.

Padilla also claimed that Trillanes was only angry with Duterte because he rejected him as running mate in the 2016 presidential elections elections.

I call myself revolutionary because i do not join governments i fight governments and that is what president duterte and this government is doing fighting the system of government and its oligarchs that was founded by the Magdalos of Emilio Aguinaldo,” he said.

Padilla then said that it’s his right to choose the politicians he wanted to support.

He also told Trillanes that he stopped criticizing the former Senator as respect to the latter’s family.

“Hindi kita inaano o binabangga magmula ng hindi kana senador bilang respeto sa iyong pamilya kayat umayos ka rin,” he said.

In an interview with GMA 7’s 24 Oras, Regala’s first wife, Aurina Alvarez Manansala-Hunt was trying to give moral support to the actor who’s currently in hospital.

Manansala-Hunt was currently living in the United States but she’s still doing her best to help the actor despite being far away.

Kasi before talagang malungkot na siya eh. So ever since noon, two to three days or almost one week iyak ako nang iyak. Noong napasok na siya sa ospital talagang sabi ko lakasan niya loob niya,” she said.

“So hopefully, ’yong mga ibang pamilya, kamag-anak tawagan siya para may a little bit of support … para pampalakas ng sigla niya,” she added.

Regala claimed in an interview that his recent partner left him because he’s broke already.

Last month, Regala has gone viral on social media after he was spotted in a frail condition.

Celebrities and fans expressed their support to Regala who said that couldn’t eat properly anymore for two weeks already because of his medical condition.

His previous condition was so bad that he almost gave up in life.

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV slammed actor Robin Padilla for his post urging the people to help the country instead of complaining.

In a tweet, Trillanes accused Padilla of urging the people to work and stop complaining about the current state of the country.

Trillanes believed that President Rodrigo Duterte was clueless about handling the crisis in the country that’s why he questioned Padilla why he wanted the people to stop criticizing the government.

The fierce critic of the current administration also blamed Padilla for supporting President Duterte whom he called ‘crazy’.

Mlaking perwisyo ang dinulot nyo sa Pilipinas,” he said.

Trillanes was probably reacting to the post of Padilla four days ago, urging the people to apply as a reservist of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) instead of complaining.

Join the Reservist “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,” Padilla said.

This is not the first time that Padilla and Trillanes criticized each other on social media.

In 2018, Padilla waited outside the senate to convince Trillanes to surrender himself to the authorities after President Duterte declared the amnesty given to the latter as void.

Padilla said in his live video.

Robin Padilla dares the public to be army reservist: “Imbes na araw araw kang nagrereklamo ABAY kumilos ka para makatulong!”

Actor Robin Padilla urged the public to join the army reservist to serve the country instead of complaining about the actions of the government.

In a social media post, Padilla said that some people wanted to start a revolution despite the fact that the current problem of the Philippines was also being experienced in most countries.

According to him, instead of waking up every day to complain, criticize the government, and be busy in politicking they should try serving the public.

Lolit Solis makes a frank comment to Jennylyn Mercado: “Choose your battle, hindi iyon sali ng sali”

TV host and showbiz columnist Lolit Solis gave her comment on the issue between Jennylyn Mercado and former Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy Administrator Arnell Ignacio.

A few days ago, Ignacio who’s a known supporter of President Duterte gave advice to Mercado who became vocal on giving comments about politics.

You have very successful careers dahil mahusay kayo sa linyang pag aartista,” said Ignacio.

“Do not ever think the power of popularity will instantly translate into mastery of the political jungle.
Wawasakin ninyo mga careers ninyo,” he added.

Solis in an Instagram post said that she’s not siding with anyone, however, she gave an advice to the Kapuso actress that she must be careful about giving comments about issues.

Sino ba gusto gayahin ni Jennylyn Mercado, si Angel Locsin?” she added, referring to columnist and publicist Vinia Vivar who defended Mercado in her column.

According to her, if Mercado wanted to be like Locsin, the actress should also start to help other people.

Unahin niya iyon, huwag iyon puro twitter o facebook ang ginagawa niya, at pagtatanong, ayaw ni Arnel Ignacio,” she said.

Mercado defended her decision to be vocal on some issues about politics, saying that she’s also a taxpayer and it’s her right to air her opinions freely.

Naloko na! online sellers got lured by face shield scam

After the Department of Transporation (DOTr) announced that they’re going to require commuters to wear face shield starting August 15, some online sellers saw it as a business opportunity.

Yesterday, social media became full of online sellers looking and offering face shields.

Some of them are even ready to shell out 10,000,000-20,000,000 pesos just to buy millions of face shields online.

Screencap from Ang Totoong Boses ng Guiguinto Facebook group

However, some people who only wanted to earn money by looking for the cheapest face shields available in the market were victimized by online scammers.

Netizen Zoralliane Cuenca shared that one of her friends got victimized by an online scammer selling face shields for 19 pesos per piece.

According to the conversation shared by the netizen, her friend paid 200,000 pesos as a downpayment for 500,000 pieces of the face shield.

However, no face shield arrived and now they’re planning to trace the scammer.

Her friend is only one of the thirteen people who reported the said online scammer to the police station after paying the said amount.

There was also a chain post circulating on social media that warned online sellers not to believe the big-time buyers of face shields.

According to the post, some sellers of face shields are trying to convince the netizens that the supply of the said items are already running low because of its high demand.

However, the author of the post questioned why the big-time buyers or face shields are looking for supplies online instead of directing to suppliers.

Another netizen Rica Reyes Molina also shared another incident of face shield scam.

You can read the post below:

“Babala at Opinyon”

“Masyadong high demand ang Heng de Face shield ngayon. Mapapansin nyo 200k, 2M, 500k pieces. Seryoso?”

Then apply the Law of Demand and Supply madami ang supply at may kayang magbigay ng 25 per pieces at un na ung puhunan mo talo kana agad.”

“Nangyari to sa disposable face mask.

Experts already warned the netizens to be careful of doing transactions on social media.

Lawyer to Pilo Hilbay slams asking the government to let VP Leni takeover: “Talagang atat na atat ang mga talunan!”

A lawyer criticized defeated senatorial candidate and former Solicitor General Florin Hilbay for asking to let Vice President Leni Robredo lead the government.

In a tweet on August 4, Hilbay who participated to #LetLeniLead campaign said that the administration should transfer the leadership to Robredo while the government is waiting for a vaccine.

“If your policy is “wait for a vaccine” then, in the meantime could you pls also hand over to the Vice President the reins of the government?” said Hilbay.

“With minimal resources, she has provided food, medical assistance, supplies, transpo, relevant info, even shelter. So, pwede ba #LetLeniLead,” he added.

As a response, a vocal lawyer supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, Attorney Nick Nañgit made a lengthy post to criticize Hilbay for being too excited to make Robredo the chief executive.

He even asked if Robredo would create a miracle vaccine to end the pandemic once she leads the government.

Amazing ghorl?! Kung wala siyang solusyon, anong pinuputak putak mo???”

Nañgit pointed out the government were doing their best to assist the people affected by the pandemic and investigate any corruption happening.

Ano, may sarili ba kayong republika? Onga pala, may Twitter Nation na raw,”

Nañgit then told Hilbay that their noisy way of criticizing the government made the people lose their trust them

He even accused Hilbay of pushing for Robredo’s presidency so they could corrupt the public funds.
