Television host Willie Revillame reportedly resigned from AllTV several weeks after he faced controversy because of the low ratings of his program Wowowin.
The news has been revealed by veteran columnist Cristy Fermin who said that Willie was already done working with AllTV because of the recent developments happening in the said station.
Fermin understood that sometimes, even successful businessman and celebrity like Revillame was also prone to making mistakes.
“Nag-resign na po siya. Nag-resign na po siya sa AMBS 2. Marami siyang plano, marami siyang gustong mangyari pero sabi nga natin paminsan-minsan po ay sumasablay tayo sa pagde-desisyon,” she said.
“Pero sa pagkakataon ito, yung usapin po ng utang na loob na pinag-ugatan ng pag-alis niya ng GMA7 para sumama po siya sa mga Villar ng ALLTV. Wala na siyang kailangang ipaliwanag pa doon. Wala nang kailangan pa dahil ibinigay na niya lahat-lahat,” she added.
It’s not yet known if Revillame wanted to go back to GMA-7 where his show became one of the top-rated programs.
It can be recalled that the television host received criticisms after he asked the netizens not to criticize his show on AllTV, reminding them that he was helping unfortunate people using his show.
He also reminded some members of the showbiz press about the help he gave to them.
As a response, Fermin decided to return the properties she received from the television host and even urged Revillame to apologize to the showbiz community for his statements.
