Anthony Jennings’ ex-girlfriend, Jam Villanueva, published the ‘receipts’ to prove that there was an affair between her ex-boyfriend and actress Maris Racal.

It can be recalled that Anthony and Maris’ affair was already rumored after they became co-workers on several projects.

After Anthony confirmed the breakup between him and Jam, the latter finally posted several screenshots of the alleged conversation between her ex-girlfriend and Maris.

The conversation happened while Anthony was still in a relationship with Jam.

Jam also showed how Anthony tried to justify his closeness to Maris, saying that they were doing it to delight their fans.

However, as Jam discovered more conversations between her ex-boyfriend and Maris, she already noticed that the two were even hanging out together outside their work schedules.

Jam even said that Anthony told her that he would stop being close to Maris, but the conversation between the actor and the actress continued.

As of writing, Maris and Anthony have yet to release any response to Jam’s revelation.

Rufa Mae Quinto finally ended her silence on November 3, 2024, amid the cases she was facing due to her connections to an alleged fraudulent company.

The comedian was facing 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the Securities and Regulation Code.

In a statement, Rufa denied that she had connections with fraudulent activities at Dermacare and insisted that she was also a victim of the said company.

She also expressed her willingness to cooperate with the authorities.

“Over the years, I have worked tirelessly to build my career and maintain my untarnished reputation, which is rooted in integrity and dedication. As a public figure, I have always demonstrated professionalism, transparency, and respect for the people and brands I work with. It is dejecting to see my name being dragged through the mud, but I remain steadfast and confident that the truth will soon prevail,” said Ruffa.

“I will cooperate fully with the authorities and face this issue through the proper legal forum. Rest assured, I will fight for my name and reputation,” she added.

Aside from Rufa, internet personality Neri Miranda-Naig was also facing charges due to her connections to Dermacare.

Like Rufa, Neri insisted that she was only an endorser of the company and didn’t intend to sell securities and investment to other people.

Rufa Mae Lawyers confirmed that their client was facing a warrant of arrest for 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the Securities and Regulation Code.

The comedian was also involved in the company Dermacare, which detained internet personality Neri Miranda-Naig, also became an endorser.

The Securities and Regulation Code forbids anyone to trade securities such as shares and investments without being approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)

Like Neri, Rufa’s camp insisted that their client was only an endorser and did not ask people to invest in Dermacare.

According to them, they were also planning to file charges against Dermacare as the comedian also considered herself a victim as she didn’t receive payment for endorsing the brand.

“She will face those charges… mag-voluntary surrender siya and magpo-post po kami ng bail for that. She’s worried kasi hindi naman totoo ‘yung allegations kasi my client po is just a brand ambassador, a model-endorser,” Atty. Mary Louise Reyes said.

“Ni hindi sa kanya nakapagbayad ng downpayment, tapos ‘yung mga tseke po puro tumalbog. Lahat po ‘yan hawak naman po namin ‘yung ebidensya, ipe-present naming sa court.” she added.

As of writing, Rufa Mae has yet to give her reaction to what happened to Neri.

After content creator Neri Naig was taken into custody by the authorities for violating RA 8799, or the Securities Regulation Code, several pieces of evidence circulated on social media showing her involvement in the alleged fraudulent company Dermacare.

The video uploaded to social media showed Neri talking to two individuals via video conference.

“Actually apat po ang meeting natin for Dermacare, so pangatlo po kayo,” Neri said.

It can be recalled that Neri’s camp insisted that she was only an endorser of Dermacare and did not directly ask people to invest in the company.

Last year, Neri already distanced herself from Dermacare.

“Hello friends and valued followers. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you all that I am no longer affiliated or associated with Dermacare. It is important for me to make this announcement to ensure transparency and avoid any misunderstandings,” she said.

“I want to emphasize that any transactions or engagements made under my name by Dermacare are unauthorized and have been conducted without my consent. If you come across any instances where my name is being used in connection with Dermacare, I kindly request you to inform me promptly,” she added.

SEC explained that there was a big difference between an endorser and someone who was asking people to invest to a company.

“Sa Securities Regulation Code, ang Section 20 na binanggit po, ang kailangan po kapag ang isa ay involved sa buying and selling ng securities po, investment contracts, etc., e, iyan po ay kailangan nakarehistro sa SEC,” a SEC official said.

“Pero kapag ang sinabi, ‘Mag-ano kayo, magandang investment to, kasi kikita kayo ng ganito, kikita kayo ng 10 percent or something,’ pagkaganon na po, involved na kayo sa buying and selling of securities,” he added.

Surigao del Norte Rep. Robert Ace Barbers asked the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the vloggers and other content creators who were allegedly spreading propaganda against him, his family, and members of the House Quad Committee.

In a statement, Barbers said that the said content creators were being funded by illegal organizations who were being subjected to investigation by the lower house.

He also cited the contents targeting his brother, Surigao del Norte Gov. Lyndon Barbers.

“It’s very obvious that these paid and well-organized vloggers want to destroy me, my brother and quad comm members. They’re said to be hired groups who spread lies. It’s probably because their bosses, who are POGO operators and dr-g lords, have been hit because of the quad comm investigations,” said Barbers.

It can be recalled that Barbers and other members of the Quad Committee were facing criticisms for investigating Vice President Sara Duterte, and former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto went viral on social media after they noticed the quality of the videos he was posting on social media, which was recorded by his own cellphone camera.

Ombudsman Samuel Martires insisted that they have not seen any actions carried out by Vice President Sara Duterte that were worth investigating.

“As far as we are concerned right now, we have not seen any acts of the vice president to investigate. Well, we do not find anything that is in violation of the Antigraft and Corrupt Practices Act,” said Martires in an interview

Martires also warned Department of Justice (DOJ) Undersecretary Jesse Andres to keep talking in the cases their agency may file against Duterte.

According to the Ombudsman, they have the power to take over any investigation that DOJ may conduct against the Vice President.

“If in the opinion of Usec. Andres we have that power, I would advise Usec. Andres to shut up. Even if the NBI is now investigating the acts of the Vice President, if we feel that it is now within the jurisdiction of the Ombudsman, we can tell the NBI, stop it, we will continue with the investigation,” said Martires.

Meanwhile, Andres said that he would try to reach the Ombudsman as he believed that there was a miscommunication between their offices.

It can be recalled that DOJ was studying the charges they may file against VP Duterte.

Kapamilya actor Anthony Jennings revealed that he couldn’t read or write when he started his career as an artist.

During a podcast, Anthony admitted that he had no choice but not to study during his youth as he was forced to work to survive.

Anthony said that he would not waste the opportunity to finish his studies.

“Sana, kaso hindi ako nabigyan ng opportunity, ‘yun ‘yung at a young age nag-start na akong mag-work na kung anu-ano ang ginawa ko sa buhay ko pero alam ko nasa top of the mind ko pa rin na mag-aral ako after everything, after anong mangyari,” he stated.
