Comedian Vice Ganda was confirmed to attend a concert expected to be held in Malacanang Palace on December 15, 2024.

The event, Konsyerto sa Palasyo para sa Pelikulang Pilipino, will be held at the palace’s Kalayaan grounds.

“Ito po ay handog ni President Bongbong Marcos at First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos,” Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Romando S. Artes.

“Na ang layunin po nitong Konsyerto sa Palasyo… ay para po bigyan ng pagpupugay ang industriya ng pelikulang Pilipino.” he added.

According to Artes, they invited all the artists that would be part of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), which included Vice, who’s part of And The Breadwinner Is.

“Oo confirmed, inaayos pa sino sa cast pupunta pero definitely si Jun [Robles] kasama ni Vice,” he said.

The party would happen amid the request of the Palace to other government agencies to tone down their Christmas parties and use their remaining allowances to help the families affected by extreme weather.

Vice’s attendance received a mixed reaction from the netizens; some were disappointed that the comedian, known for being politically aware, would support such an event.

However, his fans defended the comedian, saying it would be rare for a comedian like him to be invited to Malacanang.

Rufa Mae Quinto’s husband, Trevor Magallanes, uploaded private conversations between him and his wife.

In his Instagram stories, Trevor released a photo showing the conversation between his wife and another individual, which he allegedly interpreted as a cheating act by Rufa.

In another post, Trevor posted his messages to Rufa, who pleaded with him to meet their daughter several times, which he rejected.

“Just shut up and I’m leaving you forever. Just let me leave peacefully, and hope u okay,” Rufa told Trevor. “Me and Athena will go back to [Philippines] if that’s what you like. If you want me out of your life it’s ok, just don’t be mean to me,”

Several artists are facing controversies now after their private conversations were published on social media without their consent.

This time, Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo became the latest topic of the netizens after several screenshots taken on a group chat was uploaded.

According to the source, the discussion happened before the breakup between Kathryn and her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Padilla.

In the first screenshot, a certain ‘Kath’ uploaded a video of Andrea Brillantes’ friend, Bea Borres, where Daniel could be spotted.

“Kata naman pala dik makareply whole day nung FIBA,” Kath wrote.

The second screenshot showed Kath calling the woman as the ‘snake’s best friend.’

‘Kath’ could also be seen declaring that she was single already.

Netizens expressed concern about why the conversation was uploaded on social media.

“From the words of Kathryn, ang hirap makahanap ng genuine sa industry niya,” another netizen commented.

It can be recalled that Andrea was rumored to be the reason for the breakup between Kathryn and Daniel.

However, not all parties involved could confirm the reason why the long-time couple decided to end their relationship.

Aside from Kathryn, another Kapamilya actress, Maris Racal, faced controversy after her conversation with Anthony Jennings was uploaded on the internet.

But Maris’ fans defended the actress, saying that anyone in the entertainment industry knew that a statement must be prepared by talents beforehand when trying to address their issues.

As of writing, Maris has yet to respond about whether she was reading a script during her public appearance.

Eat Bulaga host Jose Manalo surprised the public on December 2, 2024, after finally confirming his relationship with EB Babes member Mergene Maranan.

Aside from confirming his relationship with Mergene, Jose also proposed to Mergene as part of his plans to marry her.

The private event happened at a resort, where the EB Babe members thought that they would only have a vacation together.

The video published by Mergene showed Jose singing “Ikaw” by Yeng Constantino together with a guitarist and Saxophonist.

Jose then brought Mergene to the pool area, where a neon sign with the words ‘Will You Marry Me’ could be seen.

“Ano ‘yan? Totoo ba ‘yan?” asked Mergene. “Weh? Totoo ba ‘yon? Hala nahihiya ako,”

The comedian then got down on one knee and presented his engagement ring to Mergene.

ABS-CBN Star Magic legal counsel Atty. Joji V. Alonso believed that Anthony Jenning’s ex-girlfriend, Jam Villanueva, may face charges for uploading the private conversation of his former partner.

It can be recalled that Jam uploaded several screenshots showing Anthony’s romantic conversation with his co-actress, Maris Racal.

In his post, the lawyer said that even if the acts of Maris and Anthony may be considered morally wrong, both artists didn’t do anything illegal.

However, Atty. Villanueva believed that Jam committed illegal acts by posting screenshots of the conversation without any consent from both Maris and Anthony.

“Assuming that all the screenshots are legit, the fact remains that Maris and Anthony have committed NO crime. Their actions may be regarded as morally wrong, but they were never married to their respective partners,” said Villanueva.

“Jamela on the other hand, may have committed at least two illegal acts with her actions – cyber libel and violation of data privacy. She cannot hide her actions under the guise of “moving on.” Yes, she may have experienced pain and betrayal, but this does not give her the license to violate the law,” she added.

It can be recalled that several legal experts already warned Jam and other netizens from posting private conversations.

Kapamilya actress Maris Racal’s glam team also shared the ‘truth’ they knew after their client was tremendously criticized on social media for her conversation with actor Anthony Jennings.

In their Instagram post, makeup artist Jay Salcedo insisted that they didn’t know that Anthony was still in a relationship when he started talking romantically to Maris.

“We were just as clueless as everybody else. He’s single. Yun ang chika to everyone,” Jay said.

Meanwhile, Adrianne, also supported the claim made by Anthony.

“Ang detalye ng panloloko at pangangaliwa, nalaman lang namin kasabay ng publiko. We had no knowledge, no consent, or have condone to any wrong doing… and it is our truth,” he stated.

“I emphasize and stand with all women who have gone through any form of gaslighting, cheating, and infidelity. That is something I have never enabled, and will never approve of,” he added.

It can be recalled that Anthony admitted his wrongdoings, but never mentioned if Maris was aware that he was still in a relationship when they started talking.

Meanwhile, Maris also admitted that she was not aware with Anthony’s status.

They cited that Jam’s actions were against the Data Privacy Act, and the love team has the right to file charges after losing endorsements.

As of writing, Anthony and Maris have yet to give any response to the revelation made by Jam against them.
