Encantadia creator and GMA head writer Suzette Doctolero shared that many people became part of the LGBT community because of her creation.

It can be recalled that the said show became one of the most popular programs of GMA and it features four leading characters known as ‘Sanggres’ who were designated guardians of the four kingdoms of Encantadia.

The said show became part of the childhood of many netizens and some of them even thanked the show for their ‘gay awakening’.

Doctolero reacted to a netizen who said that Encantadia for his awakening.

According to her, this is not the first time that she heard such comments.

“Haha sorry poooo pero marami nga ang nagsasabi sa akin, na narealized nilang beki sila nung mapagtanto nila na mas gusto nilang maging isa sa mga Sanggre sisters!” Suzette said.

Actress Claudine Barretto admitted that she’s not planning to be married anymore after her failed marriage with Raymart Santiago.

In an interview, ‘King of Talk’ Boy Abunda asked Claudine about the possibilities of finding a man she would love and marry again.

The first Filipina who won Miss Universe, Gloria Diaz opposed the idea of letting transwomen and mothers join the prestigious competition.

In her explanation, Gloria said that Miss Universe is not ‘Miss’ anymore if the organizers let it happen.

Influencer group Tukomi went viral on social media after being charged by a policeman for their prank.

On April 7, the said group gained controversy after they published a prank involving an officer identified as Police Staff Sergeant Ronnie Conmigo who’s based in Las Pinas City.

In the video, the group can be seen attempting to forcefully take one of their members in public.

Officer Conmigo, who was off-duty then, quickly stopped the group because he thought the situation was severe.

After the incident, Las Pinas City PNP filed charges against the group, saying that pranks like what Tukomi did should stop already.

“Muntik ng magkaroon ng hindi magandang insidente out of this prank kaya gusto ko sanang manawagan sa pamamagitan nito ay mabigyan kami ng pagkakataon na masabi ang side dito.” Las Piñas police chief Col. Jaime Santos said.

“Wala naman pong problema sa pagba-vlog, pero sana pag-aralan natin ‘yung content, suriin natin. Hindi pwede ‘yung mga ganito na it concerns the security of the community and the vlogger itself. We will filing a case against the vloggers.” he added.

The story reached the mainstream media this week and their case has been featured on several television stations.

However, instead of being apologetic, Tukomi still made fun of the charges filed against them.

In a now-deleted post, the group even asked their followers to send the link to the reports against them.

“Nasa TV daw kami, send link naman. Disney channel ba yan?” the group wrote.

Netizens didn’t like how Tukomi was handling the situation, urging the group to apologize instead of being prideful.

Alex Calleja admitted that his family became affected by gambling.

“Yung family namin nahilig sa sugal. Naghirap kami dahil sa sugal. Ipinanganak akong may sugal na sa pamilya ko which is ginawa kong comedy. Dito nakakita ako ng mga issue ng sugal, napabayaan ang pamilya, so medyo naka-relate ako sa may mga ganitong pinagdaanan,” Calleja said.

“Kasi nag-Bingo ang nanay ko tapos napabayaan kami. Ayun, nu’ng nagkautang, siyempre, kami pinaparaharap sa naniningil,” ang sabi pa ng magaling na komedyante. Kapag tinatanong kung nasaan ang nanay mo magsisinungaling ka. Nandoon ‘yun nanay mo pero sasabihin mo wala. Kahit naiwan ang tsinelas doon, sasabihin mo lumabas na nakapaa.” he added.

Calleja also narrated that they fail pay their rent for several months because his mother prefer to spend money playing bingo than paying their obligations.

“Ang nanay ko talaga ang naba-barangay kasi nangungupahan kami. Totoo ito, ayoko sana ikuwento. Ma, pasensya na po ha. Ninety-two years old na rin naman siya, eh.” he narrated.
