A writer and former seafarer, Lacruiser Relativo, couldn’t hide his disappointment with the statement made by actor Paolo Contis in an interview with GMA News.

In the interview, Paolo narrated how his relationship with Yen Santos stayed after being accused of cheating on his former partner LJ Reyes.

“There was a time, or there was every opportunity, she had every opportunity to tell me or to leave, but she stayed,” said Paolo.

“Hindi mo ba mamahalin ‘yun? During that time that some of my friends, some of the people who actually believed me were leaving, someone stayed. Kumbaga nung lahat palayo, siya papalapit.” he added.

Lacruiser, in a Facebook post, expressed his dismay toward Paolo, calling him ‘thick face’ for being proud of the person who became the reason his family became broken.

“Paolo Contis just being so proud of how he handled his moving on. Lol. How could you be so proud when she has been the culprit of controversy in the first place? And where do you find the courage to flaunt a person who has been the cause of irreparable damage to the family you once built, and the repercussions that will continue to haunt your children?” the writer said.

“This is not Paolo being proud. But him being makapal ang mukha. To the likes of you, how dare you to say na maiintindihan ng anak paglaki nila ang mga nangyari. Kung ako ang anak, ayaw kong intindihin ang rason na hindi ka na kontento. At lalong ayaw ng anak intindihin ang pagsisinungaling ng magulang. Kung may kawawa sa mga hiwalayan ng matatanda yun po ang mga bata!” he added.

Ice Seguerra couldn’t hide his sadness after getting informed about the decision of Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon to leave Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE)

In his social media post, Ice made his reaction to the said decision that rocked the fans of Eat Bulaga.

Ice who became a child star and Eat Bulaga after winning Little Miss Philippines in 1987 had mixed emotions about what happened to the longest-running noontime show.

According to him, he’s sad because of the aftermath of Eat Bulaga’s internal issue, but happy at the same time because many Dabarkads were now free from the former management.

“Hindi ko naiintindihan ang nararamdaman ko. Lungkot ba o saya?” Ice said.

“Malungkot ako sa nangyayari. Sa kawalang respeto. Malungkot ako dahil sa hiwalayang Eat Bulaga at TAPE, mayroong mga taong mag-iiba ang lagay sa buhay. Nalukungkot akong umabot sa ganito.

“Pero masaya ako dahil malaya na sila. Bakit ka mananatili sa isang relasyong hindi ka naman masaya. Hindi rin ako natatakot sa kinabukasan ng programa. Ang Eat Bulaga ay Eat Bulaga. Kahit saang network sila mapadpad, walang paltos silang makakalipad.” he added.

An international relations expert who follows the issue of Moira dela Torre and Jason Marvin reminded the singer about the risk of her rumored relationship with Zack Tabudlo.

In a Facebook post, Sass Rogando Sasot reacted to Moira’s statement, reminding the singer that she has yet to leave her marriage to Jason.

It can be recalled that Moira claimed that she already ‘left’ her marriage with Jason.

“I never imagined that I would find myself in a situation where I have to explain and defend my decision to leave a marriage, as well as justify the state of my mental health,” she said.

However, Sasot said that Moira was still married to Jason legally and her rumored relationship with Zack may put her in some problems.

Sasot suggested that Moira should start filing an annulment against Jason if she really wanted to have a new partner.

“Teh, in the first place, you did NOT leave a marriage, you are STILL married. You are still Jason’s wife, and he is still your husband. Second, you really have to defend your decision to leave a marriage if you finally decide to leave it, and in our country you can only leave it through an annulment.” Sass said.

“And third, if you decide to have another jowa while you are still married, that’s adultery, even according to your Christian values. So itigil mo na ang drama mo: either you offer your petchay again to your husband. Or file an annulment.” she added.

Some netizens suspected that Moira was trying to capitalize on her separation from Jason so she’s not yet filing an annulment.

“She should have take care of the annulment ASAP, but hey, kumikitang kabuhayan kase ang pagiging “heartbroken” ng mga kanta nya hahaha! Business wise she took the opportunity and capitalized their situation haha!” netizen Kenneth said.

After the sudden announcement made by Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon about their departure from Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.

On May 31, 2023, TVJ already announced its decision to leave TAPE after a series of issues between them and the executives of the production company being led by Romeo Jalosjos.

“Simula ngayong araw, May 31, 2023, kami po ay magpapaalam na sa TAPE Incorporated. Karangalan po namin na nakapaghatid ng tuwa’t saya mula Batanes hanggang Jolo at naging bahagi ng buhay ninyo,” Vic said.

“Saan man kami dalhin ng tadhana, tuloy ang isang libo’t isang tuwa.” he added.

TAPE didn’t allow the TVJ to air their announcement and just decided to show a replay episode to the fans of Eat Bulaga this Friday.

According to Entertainment Writer Jojo Gabinete, the legendary trio and their colleagues were already set to transfer to TV5 to create their own show.

“Idinagdag ng network insider na ‘done deal’ na ang negosasyon na nangyari kamakailan lamang,” said Gabinete.

Aside from Gabinete, Cristy Fermin also confirmed the transfer of the Dabarkads to TV5.

Brightlight Productions was reportedly planning to sign the trio and other hosts who were willing to transfer to them.

As of writing, TAPE has yet to give any statement on the decision of TVJ to leave them after 44 years.

Some experts also believed that the TVJ’s next move is to get the trademark of ‘Eat Bulaga’ from the Jalosjos family.

It can be remembered that Tito already hired the service of a prestigious law firm amid the issue between the Dabarkads and TAPE.

GMA Network released a statement after the legendary trio of Eat Bulaga, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon decided to leave Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.

In their official statement, GMA is still hoping that the issue would still be resolved between TAPE and Eat Bulaga Dabarkds which started when the Jalosjos family planned to remove Tony Tuviera from the production staff of the show.

They also clarified that they still have a ‘block time agreement’ with TAPE until the end of 2024.

“We are saddened by today’s unexpected turn of events with regard to Eat Bulaga. GMA has been the home of Eat Bulaga for many years and we still have a block time agreement with TAPE until the end of 2024 for the noontime slow. Together with the Filipino fans, we pray for a smooth and swift resolution of their issues.” the statement reads.

While fans are still hoping that TVJ would stay as Kapuso, a report from Bilyonaryo said otherwise.

According to the report, TVJ was disappointed by GMA Network for allegedly siding with TAPE over the issue.

“TVJ feels bad by Gozon’s decision to favor Jalosjos, as management should ideally remain neutral in what are essentially internal matters. GMA knows it has a lot to lose if the trio decides to abandon Eat Bulaga which is part of its core programming. Not only will GMA have a big hole to fill in the noontime slot, but one of its rival TV networks will inadvertently get a boost by getting TVJ,” according to the report.

Tito confirmed that they’re already receiving offers from other networks.

While thousands of netizens are discussing the resignation of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon to Tape Inc. a Twitter user pointed out a coincidence about the date of the departure of the legendary trio.

In a Twitter post, netizen @mark_taimiklang noticed that the announcement of TVJ has the same date as the passing of former actress Pepsi Paloma who passed away on May 31, 1985.

“Coincidence?” the netizen asked.

Aside from Mark, some netizens also celebrated the departure of TVJ, mentioning the case of Pepsi.

It can be remembered that Vic, Joey, and Richie D’Horsie have been accused by the actress of allegedly taking her to a room with the three and made unimaginable things to her.

Tito got involved in the case by becoming the lawyer of the three accused.

According to a report in People’s Journal on October 13, 1982, the three apologized to Pepsi.

“We hope that you will not allow the error we have committed against you to stand as a stumbling block to that future which we all look forward to. We, therefore, ask you to find it in your heart to pardon us for the wrong which we have done against you.” according to the report.

Pepsi did not pursue the case against the three.

In 1985, Pepsi was found lifeless inside her apartment, citing several personal problems.

Tito believed that Pepsi only accused Vic, Joey, and Richie to gain publicity.

The discussion about the case has been revived after legendary OPM band Eraserheads released the song ‘Spoliarium’ which fueled an urban myth.

However, the band’s former frontman Ely Buendia denied that the song was about Pepsi’s case.

The departure of several Eat Bulaga hosts, including Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon to Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.)  gained millions of reactions from Filipinos around the world.

After 44 years, the legendary trio would part ways with the production company owned by the Jalosjos family due to the aftermath of the internal issue surrounding the longest-running noontime show.

The last airing of TVJ was also stopped after they were not allowed to broadcast on May 31, 2023.

“Pumasok po kaming lahat ngayong araw para magtrabaho pero hindi po kami pinayagan ng new management na umere ng live,” Tito said.

“Simula ngayong araw, May 31, 2023, kami po ay nagpapaalam na sa TAPE INCORPORATION. Karangalan po namin na kami’y nakapaghatid ng tuwa’t saya mula Batanes hanggang Jolo at naging bahagi ng buhay niyo. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat. Hanggang sa muli.” Vic stated.

In an Instagram post, Joey clarified that they’re not yet retiring but just taking a break.

“We’re not signing off … we are just taking a day off!” Joey said.

It’s not yet known if GMA Network would do action to save one of their top-rated show that topped the noontime ratings for decades.

TAPE and GMA have still a contract until 2025.

Many networks already expressed interest in taking the hosts of Eat Bulaga if ever they leave TAPE.

Meanwhile, the Jalosjos family has yet to give any statement on the issue.

After 44 years, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon announced that they would finally leave Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.)

In their statement, TVJ said that they were not allowed by Tape Inc. to air today, May 31 for still unknown reasons.

They only made a live video posted on social media to announce that they would part ways with TAPE which is owned by the Jalosjos family.

“Pumasok po kaming lahat ngayong araw para magtrabaho pero hindi po kami pinayagan ng new management na umere ng live,” Tito said.

“July 30, 1979 po, nang simulan namin ang Eat Bulaga.. 44 years na po ito ngayong taon. Kaya naman lubos ang aming pasasalamat sa mga naging tahanan namin – ang RPN9 for 9 years, ABS-CBN for 6 years at ang GMA for 28 years.” Joey stated.

“Salamat din sa lahat ng advertisers mula 1979 na nagmahal, nagtiwala at sumuporta sa amin.” Vic remarked.

Tito also thanked Tony Tuviera for being part of Eat Bulaga for many years.

Vic then finally announced their major decision that might end GMA Network’s domination in noontime show ratings.

“Ito po siguro ang pinakamahirap na desisyon na ginawa namin simula 1979. Hindi na po namin isa isa hin pa ang laman ng aming puso. Ang hangad lang po namin ay makapagtrabaho ng mapayapa, walang inaagrabyado at may respeto sa bawat isa.” Vic said.

It was reported that the Jalosjos family wanted to replace some of the production team of Eat Bulaga, including Tuviera.

Some hosts also complained about unpaid talent fees worth millions of pesos.

Actor Paolo Contis quickly gave his reaction after his former partner, LJ Reyes announced her engagement with non-showbiz boyfriend Philip Evangelista.

In an interview with GMA News reporter Nelson Canlas, Paolo said that he was happy with his former partner whom he separated from last year.

“Of course, I’m very happy for her. She deserves to be happy,” Paolo said.

It can be remembered that Paolo has been swarmed by comments from netizens who informed him about LJ.

“May lalaki nanaman [na] matino na sasalo sa pagka tatay mo.. may babae na naman masasalba sa sakit na dinulot mo,” netizen Bellas told Paolo.

Paolo in a past interview wanted to see her child with LJ, but the actor said that he was required to talk to the lawyer of his former partner.

“I’m waiting for the right time, I’m waiting for the go signal. I’m trying to contact them through her lawyer,” Paolo said.

Moira dela Torre’s mother came to defend her daughter from the accusations from composer Lolito Go.

In a Facebook comment, Raquel dela Torre already made some revelations against Lolito that possibly a hint at why the composer suddenly made posts against the singer.

According to Mrs. Dela Torre, Lolito was the one insisting on Moira becoming her ghostwriter.

She also claimed that Lolito was always borrowing money from Moira.

“This breaks my heart because you know that my daughter WAS JUST BEING NICE. Ikaw ang kumukulit sa GHOSTWRITER na yan. I-release mo lahat ng screenshots. I challenge you. Are we sure it’s not edited? Because you have been borrowing MONEY from her. Lagi ka nangungutang sa kanya. And the fact remains, MY DAUGHTER never hired a GHOSTWRITER. You are borrowing money, and you are insisting na mag GHOSTWRITER ka. We have the truth. Maawain lang anak ko,” she said.

Lolito then made a lengthy reply to Mrs. Dela Torre, admitting that he’s borrowing money from her daughter, but not being granted.

However, Lolito said that he was forced to borrow from Moira because he didn’t gain any royalties from the song he allegedly ghostwritten for the singer.

He also said that he suggested just becoming a ghostwriter because he’s not taking any credit from Moira’s song.

“It breaks my heart na kailangan ko pa humiram sa kanya. Multiple times. Multiple times ding denied. Thjere was only one instance na nagrant nya. When I was about to pay, she insisted na wag ko na bayaran. Tita Raquel, hindi niya po ako nabayaran sa song na Pahinga. She used that song sa Braver tour. Pati sa concerts abroad. Malaki kinita ng Patawad Album. Pero wala man lang binigay sa akin kahit yung tinatawag na mechanical royalty.” Lolito said.

“Tapos co-composer na sya ng song just by tweaking a few lines. Kung gusto nya ako magshine or kung gusto nya ako tulungan, she could have given me proper credits,” he added.

The composer said that he was ready to bring the issue to the court.

“Kahit umabot pa tayo sa demandahan, mapaninindigan ko ang laban na to.” he stated.

Lolito also released some screen capture of his alleged conversation with Moira to prove that he’s telling the truth.
